PSN and Destiny rant.
Posted 10 years agoMy (PS4) PSN is LunarVulpi if anyone wants to add me. I don't have many games at the moment but I am going to get more in the (maybe near) future.
Games I currently own and play:
Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag
Grand Theft Auta V (Not online too much. Just started)
Destiny (Rarely. Level 25 with no exotics)
Dragon Ball Xenoverse (Mainly a Super Saiyan Death Ball spammer. PvE only.)
Dragon Age Inquisition (Have never done multiplayer but will try if given the chance to learn)

Destiny. I'm sure a lot of you have seen or heard good or bad things about it, but it's a bad game. Nothing else to say about that. Except I'm going to say more because my opinions are important. (Not really, I'm just pissed off.)
Destiny is a great game. For the first 20 levels. Then it turns into a horrible MMO experience where you have to grind the same missions over and over and over and over and over *cough* You get the point.
The developers obviously don't give a flying fuck about the community.

The main story is only a pathetic, disgusting shell of what Bungie and Activision could have ever come up with. Look at how good Halo is. Yeah I understand the same people aren't working on Destiny as the ones on Halo, but it's the same company for fuck's sake. Some kind of quality has to be expected.
I don't PvP. I never have in any game I play that offers PvE options. But holy flying fuck is Destiny bad at it. "Balance?" you may ask the developers. They respond with "Lolwuwhoevencaresaboutthat."
And don't even get me started on the endgame... It's an action FPS game for the first 20 levels, then it becomes a collectathon. Go to the cave on the move for some materials and hope you get enough after a few trips. And by a few trips I mean 20+ (if you're lucky) The loot system is so bleedingly obviously set up to be part of an economy. But there is non. You can't trade in the game, so you're forced to work with RNGesus to get your armor and weapons. Good fight hours upon hours of mindless grinding just to hopefully not have it fucked over by the next expansion. (Directing you back to that link)
All in all... don't expect me to play Destiny with you. If I do, it's because I'm bored as all sweet fuck. I don't even want to take the game back to Gamestop and get the $5 they'd give me. Wasted $60 on this horrible fuck up of a game.
