Black Cat Knife $8 Sketch Commissions
Posted 5 years agoSo I found out about a neat little pocket knife they make, often called a "black cat knife" It has some cool history to it and thought of doing sketch commissions in order to buy one! HOWEVER- I thought it would be cool if I did commissions themed around knives, cutlery or anything sharp!. It can be everything from your titmouse chef character chopping up carrots for his world famous carrot stew, to your fox character slashing leather with his switchblade, all the way to your kangaroo sona comparing his large "real knife" to his large "penis knife". Anything with anything sharp and pointy!
$8 Each! Black and White Sketches 1-2 characters.

Commissions and Commissions
Posted 10 years agoGunsmithing School & Commission Delays
Posted 10 years agoI'm pretty much finished with a two week General Gunsmithing course I took at a college up in the mountains near Reno. I've always been pretty interested in firearms and their history and because of that I'm considering becoming a full time student. It's proven interesting so far, however I'm also curious about other fields of study. I've tried for an art degree before at a different college and dropped rather ungracefully but I feel like I could potentially do better now, being older and ever so slightly more mature. Plus a favorite vulpine character of mine would encourage furthering your knowledge. Anyway that's what's been up.
As for commisions, I return home this saturday and will continue ASAP.

Stone in the sword.
Posted 11 years agoBecause.....there's stones in my urinary tract....get it?
Anyway, I'm actually passing......something solid.....instead of just pissing blood, so that's a welcome improvement. Not that it wasn't painful and horrendous having a solid object come out of my dick, but at least a part of it is over with. Hopefully this marks the beginning of the end.
P.S. - Not quite sure why I'm documenting this in my journals, but I figured those interested at the beginning of the saga want to see this epic adventure all the way through :B Thanks again for your support guys, it's been great.

Check-ups and Ideas.
Posted 11 years agoI'd like to thank all of you for your support and good wishes, it means the world to me. Also, an update on my well-being; I'm still pissing like the red sea, but the pain seems to be less frequent but still present. I'm dealing more with nausia and light-headedness which comes and goes. I have an exam tomorrow and hopefully things will be on their way to improving.
Finally I guess it's about time I attempt to turn all this shittiness with my health into something productive.
So I've come up with a character who I'll simply refer to as Eddy. Eddy is a American who was plunged into the first world war under selective service. He is buried alive in a barrage on the last day of the war and is recovered three days later. He is sent to a hospital four wounds and eventually to an institution that specializes in shellshock victims. His time in that hospital is where the story starts.
I'm thinking it would be a story of a person in an insane asylum trying to prove he's not insane against all odds. It sounds a bit simple, but i'm going to attempt to outline his character development later.

Trouble Sleeping
Posted 11 years agoCall me a pussy, but after that try to understand please. Experiences from being hospitalized and held in the ICU have just been eating at me since I got home. And while yes, the whole hospital experience is done and over with, I find myself getting pretty anxious, and at times losing sleep just thinking of everything.
First is really just the fear of being in pain again. It sounds strange, but it's exhausting going through the day anticipating pain. It comes and goes randomly with the nausia and the medicines they gave me tend to only take the edge off the pain but not completely get rid of it. Then, the memory of the tubes down my throat from intubation and having them removed is for whatever reason keeping me up at night along with the lingering dulled pain in my side.
It was just horrible. I wasn't able to speak, drink, eat (though technically I was eating and drinking through a tube I guess) and ironically felt like I was suffocating because a machine was doing my breathing for me. On top of that, I remember waking up finding that I'm tied to the bed because I apparently under sedation tried to remove the tubes and put up a fight, and it was not until the tube was removed that the restraints were removed.
I could go on and on about my thoughts but it's just a sad song that I'm sure everyone can grow tired of hearing more than once. None the less, dealing with that experience on top of the pain and nausia is proving to be a little harder than I expected. I've been able to keep a smiling face in the presence of friends, but it's been hard. The trouble with pain is that you're the only one who feels it, and while the company of friends is helping me through it, not having someone to completely understand it is frustrating.

Kidney Stone Procedure Complications
Posted 11 years agoSo....I nearly died by drowning in my own bile as a result of a bad reaction to the Anesthesia. Luckly I was not conscious during that.... Needless to say the procedure was botched/incomplete. I ended up being intubated and hooked up to a bunch of machines. Having that tube in my nostrils and throat as well as having it removed was probably one of the wost sensations i've ever felt. I'm still in the hospital and will be until they think im stable enough to leave. I still have a big (apparently 14mms according to the X-ray before the procedure) stone in my kidney but at least the one giving me trouble as of recent was disintegrated.
I hope you've all been having a better last three days. than I have been having.

Call me......Shockwave Removal Dingo
Posted 11 years agoSo it's been a good while and the stones have moved a whopping nowhere and hump day my kidney and friends are going to be blasted with some kind of shock wave cannon thing. It was called shock wave lithotripsy. (?) It sounds cool but its not what you're probably picturing I promise. Anyway, that's on wednesday and after that it should be less of an event to pass them.
