Not one time, they just keep coming in. Dad is doing -SO- much better that he was, tired, but a lot better. He's a bit weary, frustrated because he can't drive, but again- at least he's alive. Now Mogawaii, my wife is in the hospital… :( She was getting bandages on her leg for lymphedema, and then she zoned out… almost like what I look like when I go into a petit-mal. (I never saw this side of what happened- and honestly I hope it's a 'fluke') So now instead of my Dad or myself, she's in there. They are keeping her an extra day because she had the bariatric sleeve done, to try and lose some weight. Apparently it wasn't the only thing wanting to happen. She had a small heart attack waaaay back then, but wasn't diagnosed/addressed/noted/known….. Hopefully things will come out sooner than later, and to a lot of good news. Talk later, peace out.

My dad is finally outa the hospital, after since NOVEMBER… he had all sorts of problems and they are doing a good job so far. I made a loaf of Challah for him, all war, an' good fuzzy feelings for him. My birthday is going to be this sunday… and of course it has decided to get cold again… at least it't not -20º with -50º whindchills.. I'm starting a youtube show as a cooking show, I'll try to post at least one a day~2, the editing does take a while. it's call TheKitsuneDen id you want to watch and you are having trouble, I'll send you the right UR. The first one is a bit long- about 44 minutes long (I'm still learning about the editing thing…the second is only about 17 minutes long.

Hi Fuzzies- I'm sorry to have a bad day (well, the whole friggin week). My Dad is in the hospital and for those who help even a little with prayers. He has pneumonia, strep, and we aren't sure what else is in. He was moved from a regular room (after breing there for almost a week...), and last night he was moved to an ICU room. No changes yet, but at least they have controlled his breathing. He's on oxygen and he has a CPAP to help his breathing. Please add my Dad to your prayers for a speedy recover.

OK... I gotta ask- I was out goin' to the exchange yesterday with my dad, I saw a green very loved beaten up car that we pulled up to park. At first I was thinking 'man, it even has a fart muffler' then I noticed the one, sole little fox in the rear mirror, also much loved... The only thing that came to my mind after that, it was 'oh my... that is oned by a fur'. Told dad, and he thought I was nuts. Four peeps walk over, passed me and my dad and to that car. ... Had to ask. I asked who owned the fox in the window, and the driver said it was his... so comes #2 'Are you furs?' almost a few seconds, after I finally ask FA, yep. They are- all four of em- The young lady in blue hair asked how I could get it through just the little fox? I just know, I guess... I just forgot to ask names, at least nicks. Someone, who knows about this, please gimme a holler on here or FA- this is gonna drive me insane... lol

Well, is sent the last time my journal was a while wrote this...

Last one I wrote that it was going to be in a 'short' week in the hospital for surgery, wellllll... it was quite longer than was except I was spent most of time in a hospital bed for over a month. The surgery went well, now that my hair is waaaaay shorter than it would normal for myself because they had to shave it all. My hair is coming back, it just 'crooked' because there is now a large spot on my scalp where they had remove about roughly 1.5 - 2 inches taken out of my head. (and, yes- they had to of my brain to take it part out of to help stop my seizures) The last 2 month has been mostly have been recovering, I am relearning words and talking again. Speaking has a pain in my ass.. what they had to remove was in a part of my brain was close to speech and even to close to where my talk is located.

The one thing is so far, no seizures. But like the recover is feeling long and harsh in many ways- I have words some times I can't say the right thing to say, and sometimes there won't be just don't pop at all. Writing is almost as hard, I have to remember all what I trying to say and then try remember letters. This is small journal to give an idea as what I mean- it's actually taken around 40 minutes to get this far...

As far as pain is tolerated, and restarting a day route so I can walk better again. .... *sighs* I can't thing of much as far as new- just thank every who as helping in any way could was done- it's been a rough begin year, but I'm still here, and trying the best to get through the rough past here.

Well, for the past 16 bloody years I've been in a battle with my own body with epilepsy. Today (Friday) I go in for pre-op and blood testing. The hospital that I'm going to, UH, is going to be placing what are called 'depth electrodes' in my brain to pinpoint where the focus of my seizures are coming from so they can remove that part without damaging any other area. I go to see my neurosurgeon on the 14th, and since there was a cancellation, I am 'next' in line. I most likely will be in surgery next Wed., where they place the electrodes in. I'll probably be in the hospital a good week, under video and audio surveillance, and they will .. to put it lightly, set off a seizure and record where it was started from.

This is a big step from having a little machine in my chest to try and stop the seizures, they are -going- to remove the area that starts them. This isn't a 'cure all', but it has a lot more promise than another medicine that has worse side effects than they are worth.

I really wish I knew -exactly- what to expect, but as I have been told by my surgeon, it's different for everyone. The one thing that they are positive about (as far as negative effects) is that my memory might be affected. I don't think this is the last journal I'll write before I go in, but if it is and you all don't hear from me, it's not because I'm ignoring anyone- Life threw me a curve ball, and I'm up to bat. Time to hit a home run.

Well I got home from the doc this evening, and yep, sure enough- next week, I go into surgery. No questions, already had the pre-op done, blood tests, urine sample... etc. Plus, I also found out that when they find the 'spot' that is the problem, they remove it then, not a week later like I had thought it was going to be. Also- I'm going to be in the hospital for 2 weeks, not just one. It seems like I'm a top priority case in their books. "High profile", if you will.

Thank you all for the love from my friends and followers, keep me in your prayers. Tuesday I leave for the hospital, and I really wish I knew exactly when I was going to return. My best guess is the beginning of March, but that's only returning home, not immediately hopping back online. This is quite an invasive procedure, and it's going to take a lot outta me.

Tonight I had to do one of the hardest things I ever did in my life. My kitty, my baby- was very sick, and I had to have her put down. The nurses at the emergency clinic even asked me if she had a brain tumor- but I don't know, and I didn't (or wouldn't) have had the funds to find out. I stayed in the room with her while the nurses put her to sleep, and I kept her calm while they did. I will leave the pics of her up, but only for a while. It hurts really bad right now- don't have much more to say...

Ok.. This is the first time I'm doing this online, so bear with me. I have been working with Animal Tarot for a while, and am lucky enough to have the 'gift', if you will. I can do 3 different spreads; a 3 card draw, the Medicine Wheel, and the Lifeway spread. The 3 card draw is just that- 3 cards that explain in short, your past present and future. The Medicine Wheel is a 5 card spread which shows the directions you are taking in life, and which aspects of which you need to pay more attention to- the center card is the Sacred Mountain or Sacred Tree, which signifies you and how you are looking at the situations that surround you. The Lifeway or Pathway spread is a 7 card spread that shows you past, present, future, what lessons you are learning at this point in life, what lessons you have just overcome or learned, what is working for and against you.

I can only do this through Skype, because you will need to see the cards that come up. My Skype is Foxlink Hightower, and I will be online for a little tonight. I'm not going to charge anything atm, all I ask is that you give me a chance.

The way I'll do this is I'll have my web cam set up so you can see the cards as I shuffle them, I'll ask you if you wish them to be cut, and when to stop shuffling. I'll lay the cards down, and I'll tell you what each one stands for, what it's position means, and a possible opposite or contrary meaning.

These are different than normal Tarot cards- this is Native American Tarot- all the cards are different animals, and the animal that is on the card is the spirit or energy that the Universe feels you need to see at the time.

Well... The surgery went ok- but I was in the hospital for a lot longer than expected. I went in at 6 in the morning, and didn't get out until 6 in the evening. My VNS has been removed, and I hurt like all hell. the pain meds are somewhat working, but they seem to only take the edge off. My throat still hurts from the breathing tube, but that's normal. The surgeon had some trouble getting the wire removed, and it's obvious from the nice big incision on my throat- that's going to take a while to heal. It hurts to talk, and it hurts to move my head to the right. i'll post a pic of the wound here but it'll go into scraps later.

I know many of you probably don't read these things, but fuck it.

I don't deal well with people treating my friends like a sac of shit.  scarskitsune Scars is one of my best friends, and he's going through a really rough time- he's having health and financial problems, (and I know we ALL are) but you don't need to up and be nasty shits about it by saying he's not worth 'your' time. Have any of you ever thought about what you write in your journals? Or perhaps the responses that you give? You DO know that you are dealing with other people's feelings and lives, don't you? I know the whole thing about, well just get off the computer, or go to another site etc... I know all the crap that's out there- but to make it a point to tell someone they aren't worth your time is beyond being an asshole. You apparently had enough time to respond, you had enough time to write a little sentence to make someone feel worth 'less' than you are, so the saying can go for you as well. You could have 'not read' or 'just walked away'... but nope, you had to be complete shits and treat someone who really DOES care about how you would feel if he wrote something that might be offensive and takes into consideration how you feel when a response is given.

I usually don't deal with the drama shit, but this is just wrong. ANYone who treats someone like that needs to take a look into the mirror and look at what you see- not just on the outside, but what do you see on the inside? Are you the 'caring' type? Are you the one who would give the shirt off their back to help someone if you had the means?


I don't have anything else to say here.

Well, the funeral went without a hitch, no problems ended up showing their nasty faces. My wife's family and I rode in precession to and from the church, in a limo. (something completely new to me.) The Patriot Guard led the precession and once we got to the burial ground, the military took over. The gun salute, folding of the flag, presenting the flag and the spent shells from the salute to Shelly's mom, was very well done, very nice and very emotional for everyone involved. I'm going to be here in Cali until Monday, then we take the train home. It'll be another 3 day ride, but at least this time we know what to expect.

I'll post a few pics of the area we spent the majority of our time here, it's absolutely gorgeous here. They have a feral cat, his name is Scrubs- and for some reason he has taken quite a liking to me. This is odd to the family because he usually doesn't take to new people well, let alone men. He reminds me of Kai, but much fluffier. Also he has one green/gold eye and his right eye is green/gold with almost a line through the middle and the other part is blue. If I can get a good enough pic of his eyes, I'll post that here too. Tomorrow we are going to Mt. Shasta and visiting Shelly's dad and daughter, and that will be about 2 hours away from where we are right now.

Well, made it here, now all we have to do is wait till Tuesday for the funeral. It's going to be a full military honors funeral, so it's going to be quite a deal. The Patriot Guard are going to lead the hearse to the burial, her uniform is going to be at the service because she was in WW2, was part of the WAC.

It has been an interesting ride up here, Shelly's mom lives up close to Mt. Shasta, and even though it is up in the mountain, it is close to 100 degrees. But since it's in the woodsy area, the shade makes all the difference. Talk later all, many hugs to everyone.

{edit}. We are going to Cali in a few days.. Hope I get to meet her grandmom before she passes. {edit 2} As of Monday night, my wife and I are taking off to California by Amtrak. We leave early as all get out- leaving the apt. At probably 2300 or earlier. We leave for Chicago @ 0120, and it's a three day trip out. {edit 3} We leave the apt. tonight at ~2330, we depart at 0134. The reason for the difference in time is distance.

To Scars, man, I can't get back onto Steam for some reason- I tried everydamn thing I could think of, and everything they told me to do. Still nothing. I (fortunately) can still -play- the games, but ain't getting online with Steam.
