It was a really fun con, it is every year. I had an actual camera this year and it was my first time ever using it, so even though I took a crap ton of pics, only a very small percentage turned out. The ones that are good I have posted to my dropbox.

Other than that, I got to suit a lot and was the only actual plush there, got a few cuddles and made a lot of people smile, even one woman during the parade yelled excitedly that she was happy to see me and that she loved the suit and knew I was one of the early plush suits. (from Midori anyways)

I will be at MCFC with my camera and plush suit. I am hoping those pics will turn out better, hopefully I can get more images in focus, which was my main issue at Fursquared, well that and shutter speed.

This year was a complete blast, this con is always a joy to attend.

This was the first year I got to share table space with  draconicarcher at MFF. I displayed my four current electronics designs in a small section of his table. I hope it really helped attract people to his table and really hope people saw them and were at least a bit interested. Thank you  draconicarcher for letting me display my stuff in your booth, I hope I'm not imposing by doing that.

I put out about 1400 business cards throughout the weekend around the con. twitter.com/SnepDesigns or etsy.com/shop/SnepDesigns if you want to see the current designs, I have yet to get the new one up there, but its a rework of the 30 LED design.

Aside from that, it was sooooo much fun, got to plush sooooo much. The super highlight in terms of plushing around was the plush party on Friday night. I got to flop on the bed and be cuddled. Thank you to everyone who was there and cuddled me. Thank you to  skoll for making sure I was okay and getting me water. The ability to just totally plush out and go into that headspace was something I've not been able to do for a long long long time, thank you also to our room host for allowing us to have that time block to do that.

Probably the most heartwarming part was when I met up with  makuus. He gave me a small gift, one plush to another. He is a true sweetheart and if you ever get a chance to meet him, either in or out of suit, he is a joy to be around.

I got to meet a lot of good people, and see people I've not seen in a long while. As with most cons I attend, there were very few panels I attended. I tend to use cons as a way to plush it up and interact with people. The programming wasn't lacking, I just value being in suit and/or seeing people more than most programming.

This con was a much needed break, had been looking forward to if for months and wasn't disappointed. Hope everyone travels safe home. Thank you good friends for good conversations.

The next con I'll be at is Fursquared. I'll have Nepal there and hopefully my electronics stuff, if I can find someone to bum a few square inches of table space off of.

Hey all,

Few questions. I have nearly 200 through hole cool white LED's and I want to make a capacitive dropper circuit to power them from my 110v mains. I am just looking at needing a basic circuit but I cannot figure out how to calculate the values for the resistors and capacitors I would need in the circuit. I have a program to lay out and do the actual PCB design, so no worries there, I just need to figure out what the actual dang values are that I'd need.

I'm guessing the LED's would need to all be in series with one another, or several series in parallel. If I could get an idea of how many LED's I could run off the above dropper and what general arrangement they would be in, that'd be super helpful.

I have a circuit currently that runs off a 9v battery and is 3 parallel series of 3 LED's and a resistor per series. It runs flawlessly but I want to have one that I can plug in.

Also if anyone has ideas on where I could get custom PCB's printed I would be most grateful. I know there are ways to etch my own PCB's, but that involves chemicals and yeah, no.

Thank you in advance, and if you don't know, if you could pass this onto someone who might, I'd appreciate that as well.

OMG, I was rolling in my seat throughout this movie. Screw the people who were offended by this movie. It frigging stars Seth Rogen. This is the most hilarious and irreverent and just plain awesome movie I have seen in a long long time. It was both hilarious and vulgar, while at the same time providing a good commentary on society and how stupid some of our beliefs and bigotry are.

If you are easily offended then don't go see it, but if you have a good sense of humor and know how to laugh at yourself and enjoy raunchy humor, then by all means, go see it. I plan to buy it when it comes out on DVD.

5/5 stars from me. (btw, the trailer was Dora the Explorer in terms of its innocence when compared to the actual movie)

Well, it's my bday again today. Ugh, 31. >.< Well, I suppose I will be working for my b-day.

Hopefully getting my bf to put me into plush for a few hours this coming weekend in celebration. (hey, a plush can dream, right?)

Anyways, gonna be pretty boring other than that. >.<

I know it is a week past the con, but I have been getting over con crud and have not been in the mood to write one, and this was a con I felt I needed to write a report about. There were sooo many awesome people at the con, and so much happened, it was all rather a whirlwind con for me, but in a good way.

Anyways, the reason I even made it to the con is that my mate and I moved to Dixon, IL (about 1.5 hours west of Chicago). When we moved my first though was that we would be able to make MFF, which I was super happy about, cause i was depressed I had missed 2012 and 2013.

Anyways the week prior to the con I got this crazy idea to make a giant quilt for all of us plush suiters to pose on so it looked like we were just normal plushies on a queen sized bed. It took way more work and time than I thought it would, this thing is gigantic (more than 15x20 feet).

We got to the con on thursday night and got into our room and then I started mingling with people and got my pre-reg badge picked up. The rest of thursday was fairly uneventful, though I saw a few suiters and did chat with a few people before going to bed.

I won't go into detail of every day, but just simply mention that I got to meet a lot of awesome fellow plush suiters. Got to meet the new purple mammoth, the new grey plush cat and new snow leopard plush as well as finally meeting  cocoeagle and  fritzie. I also got to meet  greliton as well, and he is a real sweetie, cute in suit or out of suit.

Meeting  cocoeagle and  fritzie IRL was very awesome as well, they are both really really nice guys who I've been wanting to meet for a looooong time.  fritzie is the one who made the hip tags on my plush suit.

Speaking of plush suits, I got a good bit of time in wearing my suit, it has been far too long since I wore it. We had a huge plush suit photoshoot on Saturday evening, there were 21 of us there, so it was a good thing I made the quilt so big. I think it actually turned out fairly well, considering the short amount of time I had to get it together. Thank you, BTW to who ever it was that came up with the idea for the ribbons for the  midori8 plush suits, that was awesome.

I also got to spend time hanging out with  draconicarcher and  ino89777 who are now engaged to get married, congratulations guys. ^_^

I was right near their room on Saturday late night after 2 and Kage's charity show when the whole gas incident happened. I can and will only talk about my perspective of how things happened, I refuse to speculate or assume things. I ran down the stairs with  draconicarcher and  ino89777 and as we ran past the front desk we all got a huge whiff of chlorine, like we were running past a freshly cleaned pool, that is when I new something was definitely up. I stuck around them throughout the whole incident partly to help console her as she tried finding people, and partly to keep myself busy and distracted.

After we got outside and across the street I luckily had my phone on me and tried calling my boyfriend to make sure he was alright. He did not pick up and after the third try I started getting very very insanely worried but he called me back soon after the third call and let me know he was safe. I then started looking for anyone else I knew, mostly other plush suiters. We were ushered into the convention center across the street from the hotel so we could be warm and I eventually found everyone I could think of. At one point they were trying to make an announcement and everyone quieted down except for a group who had been at a pup gear room party. I had my faun legs and a t-shirt on and i started running to where they were making the announcement and i turned partly around and shouted to the noisy group "SHUT THE F#*$ UP!!!!" That quieted them instantly. It wasn't the submissive ones who were the real issue, it was the masters. I was actually surprised they shut up, proud, but surprised.

We were finally allowed back inside the hotel after 4 am, by that time my boyfriend had already gotten a room at the overflow hotel for the night cause he wasnt sure how long we'd be out there and he was getting super tired, so after sharing some drinks with  draconicarcher and  ino89777 I headed over there to get at least a few hours of sleep.

Over all it was an amazing con, met soooooo many awesome people, if I didn't mention you here by name I am sorry, but I did enjoy talking to everyone I saw.

A big thank you to the helpers I had with the quilt in getting it set out and then cleaned back up, I couldn't have done that by myself in suit.

My mate  wolfboy1 will be moving up to Sterling, IL before me, as I will have prior work down here yet that I will have to stay a couple extra weeks to accomplish. I need to ask if anyfur would be willing to help him unload the U-haul truck on Sunday October 12th. He will be there by himself and I'm sure you could convince him to feed you if you were to help.

If you can help please comment on here. If you can't I would very much appreciate it if you could give this a signal boost to anyfur close enough to Sterling, IL to be of help in this endeavor.

We just got the new a couple days ago that my mate  wolfboy1 was extended and accepted an offer to move to Sterling, IL, about two hours outside of Chicago. I am not really looking forward to the move, as it means I have to leave a lot behind, but I will be with him, so that will be a huge plus, I couldn't imagine him being there and me still being here.

Anyways, is there anyfur who lives in or around Sterling, IL or does anyone know of anyfur who lives there? I would love to meet a few of the local furs there. I know a few who live in the Chicago area.

Also, if anyfur plays Pathfinder, my mate and I would love to be able to get in on a game, he and I have had poor luck with people here in Savannah, playing Pathfinder is very very sketchy here, sadly.

If you could either let me know here or give this a boost and let other furs know about this, my mate and I would be super grateful for that.

I will either be running around doing staff related things, or in my plush snow leopard suit named Nepal, or in a new set of faun legs I hope to be picking up at the con.

I don't usually attend panels.

Of course, I couldn't imagine being at a fur con and not suiting.

I can't do art. Unless you want a stick figure or something. :-P

Hanging out with my friends mainly, or suiting

Don't know, most likely lots of Furnandos meatball lasagna wraps. Those things are soooo addicting.

Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
Sure, I feel much better around those I know than those I just met (because usually that involves "oh, oops..I forgot my money, can you pay my share?"

Sure.

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Seeing and hanging out with my friends.

*sigh*

I am not looking forward to Sunday. Normally for my birthday I am at least somewhat looking forward to it. Not this year, as I will be turning 30. There are lots of things and reminders that I am not as young as I once was. I know it's just a number, but turning 30 reminds me that I have not done anything with my life yet that I can call as successful. I am still renting a living place, I drive a 13 year old car, I work a nearly minimum wage job, I have serious student debt, and I am no-where near getting a job in my field of study.

I will be kind of mini celebrating at a friend's wedding my mate and I are going to when I get home from work tomorrow (saturday), so that will be nice. Other than that, I will just be trying to spend the weekend working and ignoring the fact of how old I am getting and feeling.

Though I am thankful to be in the fandom and to be a fursuiter, I feel as though being a fursuiter keeps me feeling younger and especially when I get into suit, I forget my age and my problems and just be carefree and bounce around and make others smile, which makes me smile.

Hey all.

I need to be at the con on wednesday prior to the con and just need crash space that night. I have a room for the rest of the con days, but didn't wanna pay for the room on my own that one night. Anyone that can help out would be much appreciated. I would pay cash for my share of the room for that night, of course.
