1. Who are you?

I'm Roisin, I'm 27, I'm female, I am married and I am a mother. I do artwork of all kinds I like to try and keep fit I like training my dogs and I like spending time with my daughter.

2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you?

a) I find it difficult to make friends, some people just click with me and others don't. It's nothing personal and it doesn't mean I dislike you b) I am exceptionally calm and understanding to the point that people misinterpret it as disinterest, but I can go into a rage if I'm angry c) I was born in England and moved to Ireland when I was 10. My passport says Irish but my mannerisms are definitely more English.

3. When you aren't doing memes like this one what are you doing?

Looking after my daughter, looking after my dogs, artwork, housework, training.

4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time).

For actual school school, not college, I enjoyed art class. College wise well let's not go there since college was a disaster.

5. What is your biggest goal for this year?

Get back to my ideal weight (which I've almost done yay!)

6. Where do you want to be in 5 years?

At this point I honestly don't know. Everything is unsettled right now.

7. What stage of life are you in right now?

Married with a young child and really not sure what the future holds.

8. Are you more child-like or childish?

Childlike. I put to much trust in others and try to only see good which is pretty stupid really.

9. What is the last thing you said out loud?

Are you awake? (my daughter just woke up)

11. Have you ever taken martial arts classes?

Yes! I've a blackbelt in taekwon-do and I help teach it now and again :D Hoping to open a new club next year with my husband and brother in law.

12. Does your life tend to get better or worse or does it just stay the same?

At the moment? Worse. But I hold out hope for something better. I just don't know when.

13. Does time really heal all wounds?

Not in my experience.

14. How do you handle a rainy day?

Check to make sure I have enough buckets to stop the leaks in the roof coming down to the ground floor and then hope for it to stop.

15. Which is worse...losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights?

16. How is (or was) your relationship with your parents?

Hit or miss. Sometimes it can be good but my parents, in particular my mother, are critical of everything I do. My dad just goes along with whatever my mum wants and my mum likes to be in control of everyone and everything.

17. Do you tend to be aware of what is going on around you?

Only things I actually care about, otherwise no.

18. What is the truest thing that you know?

Love hurts

19. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A vet, but I know I would find it difficult. Secondly something artistic or martial arts related. I'm doing O.K. on those fronts.

20. Have you ever been given a second chance?

I don't know. I don't think I've ever really purposely upset someone, nobody has ever said "this is your second chance." I've certainly given more second chances than received them.

21. Are you more of a giver or a taker?

Definitely more of a giver. I like receiving but I do enjoy giving to those few I care about

22. Do you make your decisions with an open heart/mind?

Sometimes yes sometimes no. I try and be logical at all times but some people can make me jump into things spontaneously and throw caution to the wind.

23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?

Having a baby? lol. It hurts a lot. Other than that the most physically painful thing I can think of was getting my tonsils removed but the truth is I have a pretty high pain threshold. I put on sparring gear and go get the crap kicked out of me on a regular basis. Even child birth didn't phase me too much tbh but that might have been because I was high as a kite on whatever drugs I had to be given XD

24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you?

My teenage years, a lot of horrible things happened which I don't like discussing here and also the death of my niece last year, even though I never met her it was enough to put me into a depression rivalling my teenage years. Having to walk into a room with your bright, happy and alive 2 year old while your brother in law and his wife grieve in the corner over their dead child is like being stabbed in the stomach.

25. Who have you hugged today?

My daughter, my dogs, my husband and my brother in law. All the most important things in my life ♥

My dog had a stroke last night, I'm kinda out of it right now, it was only mild but I'm feeling really down about this. Will be back shortly.

Just to say i've been a bit pre occupied the last few weeks. My childhood cat had to be PTS, a good friends mother died (this is a pretty hard blow tbh) and now another family issue has come up. prospects don't look too good right now

I've been away for awhile. Thank you for the well wishes and understanding in my previous journal. Unfortunately my niece passed away at 18 days old. Sorry if I am a bit out of sorts.

I will be gone for two weeks starting tomorrow.

Thank you for your well wishes in regards to my last journal. My niece is still fighting. She had surgery on Sunday morning which was as successful as it could be but she is far from safe. Thanks and stay safe.

I will be bask as soon as possible. LJ friends know already. I'm too drained to explain in full. My niece was born yesterday and is fighting for her life. Good thoughts please.

I was running a RAID 0 system and have been unable to fix it, I'm thinking of going back to IDE with 5 separate hard drives. I haven't a clue about either TBH

HELP!

EDIT:I've finally managed to wipe the disks. Get rid of the faulty disk and have just set up a RAID 5. I'm just installing Windows again. Hopefully this is an end to my woes and I'll be up and running again!

My computer is still being sorted. I should be getting new hard drives in a few days. Hopefully everything can be sorted. I've managed to save the majority of commission work but a few are corrupt >:( I've a ton of stuff to be scanned. Also my notes are gone. I can only assume this was due to the incident last month. I have everything that I needed saved though but if you want to drop me another note with your info feel free.

I'm still living at my parents for some of the week. I go back to my own house on the days my husband is home. My dogs are staying with friends on the days I am not home. I'm hoping that once my computer is up and running again I can finish off my commissions. I've had a few inquires but I wont be taking on any more for a good while. I want to work on my own stuff and improve. I also want to branch out into other art areas.

Despite all the madness that's gone on (and is still going on) I'm feeling more positive.

I welcome 2011 with open arms. 2010 was a horrible year. My computer died so I am having to use my brothers laptop while I try and salvage everything. I hope you are all having a better time of it than I am lol.
