Hola!
Posted 17 years agoI just wanted to say thank you all to those have still remembered my art and that keep encouraging me after all of this time. It's amazing to me folks still check out my work an I get so many comments and favorites... thank you all so much, I really am blown away.
I'm at the University of Art College in San Francisco, so now that I'm back to being focused on art I find myself now busy with work. But I'm back in the art game, so I'll pop something in here now and then for fun, and see how folks are.
Once again, a VERY big thank you to EVERYONE that's left me comments and favorited. I know I've not gotten back to anyone in a while, but I do read, do notice, and it means a lot!

Back from FC...
Posted 19 years agoThat was pretty damn fun. I only got to go two days out of the whole thing, but I had a good time. I managed to get myself lost, which Duncan will not let me live down(until the green bastard looks at the map of where I was) but other then that, it was pretty cool. I didn't catch everyone I wanted to, but hopefully I will next year.
Finally got to meet Moonstalker, that was pretty cool. Said hi to Ken Sample, met Colson and John, both really cool guys, definatly. Talos randomly showed up! So I hung out with him for a little bit, that was pretty cool. Gideon of course! Met some new folks too, Tube is a pretty cool guy, went to dinner with Ottsel. Athelind got some sketchies! Met Mr. Glenn, funny ass guy... and a whole bunch of other folks I can't remember their names. All good folks, and everyone at the convention was really nice and fun to be around.
It was a little bit of a social shock again I guys, being I've not been there in a few years, and kind of seperated myself from the furry stuff a little. Other then hanging out with Duncan randomly, of course. It was nice though... it's weird how relaxed you get after a while of hanging out with folks like this. I dunno how to describe it, but it's pretty nice.
Noticed the con is a bit bigger too, and a lot more folks running around. Something I didn't see a lot of at FC 2002 was all the kids running around... seriously. I'm only 22, but the punk rock goofy kids kinda bug me. Goofy ass pants and colored hair... I dunno, to each there own, you know? I'm not in any place to judge. I think the reason it bugs me is because most of these kids just come off like they really arn
't a part of the other folks there, that they just got bored and decided to show up so they can tell all the other kids back at school how "weird" they are. I feel it more then other folks because I've delt with that in another... "subculture" i guess. The whole car sceen right now, or "rockabilly" of you want to give it a name... is filled with punk rock kids that got bored with the last thing they were into and dress all "rockabilly" to be different. The kind of a kids that hang out at a car show just to try and look tough, but could give a rats ass about the cars or the love the culture it's created over the last 60 years. The kind of kids that will find something else to do when they get bored in about a year. I dunno, it's not a big deal, just a little pet peeve, perhaps.
Other then that, had a great time. Drove down about 6 on Saterday, met with Duncan and got some grub. It was too late for the dealers room for me, so I jsut hung around for a few hours before Gideon finally got out, and chilled with him and a bunch of folks down at the bar. Just much other then hanging out and actually drawing... something I've not done in a long time.
Spent the night at Duncan's then came back around 10 the next day. The day went quick... really didn't do anything other then head around the dealers room, hang out, chat with folks, but it was all good times. Drew in about 7 sketch books... most of which I was happy that they didn't come out too bad at all. Everyone I wanted to get trades with was filled up though, which was a real bummer. One of these days I'll get some art of my own in a sketchbook.
Now back to the house, finishing up moving. This sucks. Just the little shit to do now. Missed class today. Oops.
