Posted 3 years agoAll I can say is: thank you so, so much! This is a massive milestone for me, and I'm so glad I could get 1,000, let alone a single person interested in my art. But here I am, 3 years later, with so many great friends and so many people liking my work! Thank you for keeping me motivated, and thank you for all that you've done to put up with my formally depressed ass over the past few years. Posted 3 years agoI know I’ve been kinda silent on this issue, but I think it’s now time to say something on my part.
It’s needless to say this entire war is now just a war for pride for Putin. He doesn’t give one shit about the people of his country, as that is evident what he has done to the country’s economy. And now PayPal has joined in at the worst possible time in the worst possible way.
If you haven’t heard yet, PayPal shut down it’s service in Russia. There are a lot of freelance artists on this platform that are based in Russia. This cuts off their way of living.
If you still want to support any Russian artists, some of them are linking to websites such as PaySend, Buymeacoffee, or Payoneer. If any artists you watch puts out a journal linking you to any of these websites, I urge you to donate if you can!

Posted 3 years agoI’m writing on a whim, to be honest. I’ve been here for a few years, and I’ve learned a lot about what people expect from me and who I am as an artist. 1: I am incredibly slow. 2: Commissions depress me. They eat up all of my time, and it’s very difficult to get in any personal artwork when I take a batch of commissions. Not to mention I’m in the midst of a war with anxiety.
For any artists who are looking to do what I do, let me lay it down for you… it’s tough. Real tough. Tough to get noticed, at least. I’ve still yet to figure out what attracts people, but at this point I don’t really care. The content I make is the content I make and, whether you like it or not, I’m going to make it and post it. Just… don’t focus on the numbers. Focus on the art. Focus on improving said art. And in turn, the numbers will come. I worried too much about them and I haven’t gotten very far because of it. Posted 4 years agoI kinda stated this on Twitter, but I know it can get lost in people’s feeds especially if it has nothing to do with art. This journal is really just for anyone who has bought a commission from me or is looking to do so, so you can disregard it if you haven’t done either.
2021 has probably been the worst year of my life, at least emotionally. My depression is the worst it had ever been, and I lack the proper work ethic to really get things done because of this. That being said, I’m really sorry to anyone that purchased a slot from me back in March of this year. I haven’t been super open about what’s been going on in my life, and it’s really just unacceptable that I haven’t been able to get all the way through the queue yet. My goal is to complete everything by the end of the year, although that outlook is grim with how much my workplace has been kicking ass. You all deserve better than this.
I want to be more transparent to the people who have spent quite a bit of money to get art from me. Posted 4 years agoHey everyone. It really breaks my heart to say this, but I'm going to cancel my comic "The Lab". After a bunch of searching, I can't find the .blend file for the comic. Not only is this disheartening, but it is absolutely soul crushing as I have poured so many hours into this project. I ask that you be patient with me while I mentally recover. I'm sorry to those who may have been looking forward to seeing new pages and a continuation of the story. It sucks that I was only able to get two pages out, but at this point there really isn't anything I can do.My Current Mental Status
Posted 4 years agoTo sum it up, I'm not well. I've been on this downward spiral this past month, and it's only gotten worse. I guarantee I will likely not be opening commissions for a very long time (likely not until 2022). Personally, I'm exhausted, depressed, and have lost all motivation to work on anything that has to do with 3D artwork. I'll be beginning to finish up the current batch of commissions and I will work to get those done as soon as I can, but please understand I'm not in a good place right now. Posts will be very scarce as I'll be looking into other mediums to express myself as I have found much enjoyment in creating music rather than working on art. It's possible that I won't even come back to doing furry artwork. No, this doesn't mean I'm leaving the fandom. I will still continue to interact with my friends and my Discord server will still be active. I'm just not sure I'm cut out to make art here. Thank you for your time.Wait List

I promise it won't be the barren wasteland that it is now. I'm planning on making something every now and then (I will be posting artwork today), but none of it will go up on FA until a much later date. I will also be uploading non-furry art as that is my main focus right now. Expect WIPs, finished renders, and experimental crap that I wouldn't post on FA. If you want to stay updated, please follow me there!
I'm moving towards VFX being my main focus, so you should see an influx of motion captured animations along with a HUGE improvement on how I do volumetrics (explosions and smoke simulations). I'm still learning motion capture, so please give me time to figure it out. I'm also waiting on a new model, so you probably won't see much of Odyssey lately.Checking In... Again!
Posted 5 years agoGreetings fellow fluffy ones! It is I, the very untimely and awfully late lynx! I know it's been a while since I've made an update, so I think it would be nice to explain what I've been up to all this time!
Before I get into all the details and whatnot, I've got a question for you all. I'm looking to get a new model for my OC, Odyssey, before returning to making art. I want a style in between what my current model, and what I had before. Taking a look at my new reference sheet should help. If you know of anyone who sculpts who you think would be a good, affordable match, please note me!
As for my life, boy it's been boring! Well... sort of! My good friend, 
Sieron_Satori, recently got me into Elite: Dangerous and I have been A-D-D-I-C-T-E-D! Definitely one of my favorite games to play, especially in VR! I also went off my ADHD medication ENTIRELY a few weeks ago, and I've never felt better. Apparently, they were making things much worse for me. That's about all the big news (if you even want to call that big). Nothing much!
As for when I'll be making art again, that... I'm not sure. You and I will just have to wait and see. ;3

Posted 5 years agoHi all! Hope you're all doing alright in these trying times, and I just wanted to clear something up, and inform you about something special. ;3
First thing's first, and that's when I'll return. At this point, I don't know, but things are definitely getting better in my life. Of course, I'm gonna stay away for a bit, as I don't want to mess things up. That's really all I've got to say at this point, but I'll make a journal every now and then to check up.
One more thing before I go, and this is for any fellow 3D artist who may be reading. As I have recently gotten access to professional grade VFX and fluid sim software, it has given me the chance to expand my horizons. I want to share this with fellow creators, so I'll be releasing my very own VFX library, free to use, no credit required (but it would be nice). It'll be updated weekly, with any new explosions or whatnot I work on. I'll only be putting the good stuff on there, so no crappy half-assed fluid simulations. The file formats will be in .vdb (OpenVDB) and .ember (which is the save file for EmberGen). The .vdb files can be used in Blender 2.83, Unreal Engine, Unity, and most other 3D graphics software.
To my surprise, I've continued to gain watchers, although I'm baffled as to why. So thank you so much for the continued support, even in my absence! Stay safe, ya'll!Let me explain...
Posted 5 years agoSome of you may notice my Discord account has been inactive for quite some time, and my server has also dissipated. Some of you may have noticed that my FA account was disabled for three days. Let me explain...
To keep things short, let's summarize what's going on in my life: I have a broken relationship, I am now trapped in my house for who knows how long, and I have no source of income. But, as some of you could guess, issue #1 is the most important to me. I need to fix what I have broken, and the only way to do this is by taking a break from this fandom. I know I said I was gonna do this before, but came back early. This time, it's different. This time, my entire livelihood is on the line, and I can't sacrifice that for staying here, a place that's only decreased my mental health overtime.
It is clear that I cannot conduct myself in a manner that is appropriate for my life. It has consumed who I am, and although I have refused to admit it, socially distanced me from those who I hold close and love dearly. My only ticket to a normal life is to leave here, for now. So, that's what I'll be doing. My FurAffinity was disabled because I make very irrational decisions when I become depressed, and this explains why my FurAffinity was temporarily disabled.
Anyway, I apologize for the rambling. I want to get my life on a different track, and hopefully return here with a more healthy lifestyle and be a person who I can be proud of.

Posted 5 years agoWell, I just had a great idea! Have you ever wanted to see Odyssey while posing like [X] while doing [Y] (replace X and Y with poses and actions, respectively)? Well now you have a chance to do so! I understand people don't necessarily want to pay to have my character posed in specific positions, so I'll be opening up a monthly poll (or a Google Form, if you will) where you can write your suggestions for scenarios for me to stick Odyssey into! It's completely free, and you don't have to be watched to enter! I'll be doing these in between commissions and such, so keep in mind they will be slower to push out than said commissions.
At the end of every month, I will release a Google Form in a post, to which you can write your ideas. It can be anonymous, or you can link your FurAffinity for credit for the idea! I will be picking two out of all the ideas submitted. However, if you want a guaranteed chance to see Odyssey in a specific pose, you can always commission me! I realize most people don't read journals, so I'll be sure to put the exact same thing in a post later in the week~.

If you're someone who goes around on people's pages after they've watched you or favorited your work, my question to you is: why do you do it? Are you really being genuine? I feel like it's a way of promoting yourself on other people's profiles, which is why I deem it rude. It draws people away from the reason they clicked on the person whom you've posted the shout on. And maybe, sometimes people are being genuine. I feel like the same could be said through a note or something of the like, not a public shout. Shouts are meant for complimenting someone's work or making friendly conversation, in my opinion. I could be overreacting though, so what are your thoughts? Posted 5 years agoIts been a hard decision to make, but until further notice, I’m going to be halting any of my big projects. This includes animations and animations alone. I simply do not have the resources right now to complete anything big, as I’m in the middle of a financial crisis along with the rest of my family. I will very likely be opening still shot commissions, however don’t expect me to get these done in a timely manner (it could take me 2-3 weeks to get one done, I have no idea). I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I’ll resume the larger projects when this Coronavirus pandemic clears up.

The Coronavirus (And More News)
Posted 5 years agoAs you may know, I’m located in the Atlanta, Georgia region of the United States. It has been uncovered that there are multiple found cases of the Coronavirus close to me. I am not fearful of the health ramifications this may put upon me, however I am more worried about my job and source of income. If things get bad, I will be opening commission sooner than I initially thought. I hope you all understand and please bare with me here. I’m trying to do my best with the current situation.
In other news, animation commissions will be opening soon. I have yet to update my commission information, however I’ve already worked out a few things, which I’ll specify here:
Some models (but not all) featured in some of my past animations/renders will be available for animation. If the character is not available to use publicly, I will need to ask whomever the owner of said character is if it’s okay to put their character in whatever position you have chosen for your idea.
I will start off by opening 2 still render shot slots and 1 animation slot. It’s first come, first serve so you’ve gotta be quick!
Pricing is still being thought out, but it will be time based. The base starting price for any animation will be 50 USD, and 20 USD will he added on every hour up to 200 USD. If my work time exceeds what would make the price above 200 USD, I will not charge further.
If you have any questions about anything mentioned here, feel free to ask them down below in the comments. I’ll try my best to respond to every comment (although that shouldn’t be an issue as I’m not expecting many). Posted 6 years agoI know I’m on vacation and all, but I couldn’t just sit by and say nothing! Today marks the very first birthday that I’ve been an active in this community and Odyssey’s first birthday (in her existence, of course). I truly cannot express my gratitude in writing for the support that I’ve gained this past year. It’s incredible what I’ve been able to do in only my first year of making 3D art! And of course, I wouldn’t be able to do it without my friends. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for a splendid first year in this fandom!
