Right now I'm doing simple character flat colors. Headshots are $5 and fullbody is $10. If you are interested in a more detailed drawing let me know and I'll expand my types of commissions.

I came out this year, I'm just gonna tell the story I guess
Posted 7 years agoIt was pretty close to my birthday and it was one of the scariest things ever... (and I have anxiety so that's saying something hahaha) And it actually turned out okay! My parents are pretty religious but they have always emphasized that they will love us kids regardless of who we are or what we do.
I ended up handing my mom my phone where i just typed, "Mom, I'm gay" on it because I cannot make myself talk when it's about me or my problems. It worked out fine though and she said that she and my dad have been wondering for a while. That made me kind of mad because why didn't she ask when I clearly was agonizing for months? But I understand that she wanted me to tell her when I was ready.... I never went to her with all my emotional problems so of course she thought I just wasn't ready... Gah, it was a mess but now I am trying to be more open about myself.
The reason I built myself up to being so terrified was that their religion is pretty damn homophobic... and I know this because I grew up going to church and continued going for almost 24 years before I just couldn't stand pretending I believed anymore. It's exhausting suppressing yourself for that long and I know that it definitely contributed to my fun mental breakdown last year and the fallout since. I definitely have other problems but the stress of pretending everything is okay kind of accelerates your condition.
But anyway... I just wanted to share my story of coming out in case you are in a similar situation and feel it is safe to come out. Just don't overthink it if you are confident your parents will be okay with it. I tortured myself for no reason x_x;;; And if you aren't in a place to come out, stay safe and just know that it will get better and you can find your family in friends who support and love you.

Journal entry, I choose you!
Posted 10 years agoSo I never write journals but since I've gotten quite a few new watchers recently I just wanted to write a little to say, hi there and thanks for watching you lovely animals, haha :P
I've really been trying to draw more and develop my skills more so I've been doing inktober, which has been fun and annoying because I am always a day behind. *is currently 2 days behind* Grrr... ah well... I do like working in ink, line work has always been super fun. Mmmmm... them precise clean lines P: ink wash is fun too but I hate the prep and cleanup, i'm too impatient, haha
I work at Michaels and recently one of my managers wants me to get certified as a drawing teacher so that might be happening, kinda exciting :> Customer service sucks so much but luckily i've been moving more into stocking and organizing things instead of cashier work. I don't mind 80% of the people coming through but man, it really wears me down to where I don't want to talk to people after I'm off.... gah interacting with a ton of strangers is hard some days.

I've recently felt like I have been having a crazy identity/existential crisis.... so that's fun. Where better to write about these things than on a public medium such as this? I really don't know and it's hard to talk to anyone about it. I do have one friend I have talked to a little in person and I text her sometimes. I just don't have a lot of friends, especially ones I can talk truthfully to... it just hurts.

Off to Disneyland!

Wooooo! We are only going today, which is the smaller day, but hey, I think starting off small is probably the best when everyone I am with has also never been to a con. xP

Wow, 2013 is here and we all survived! Woo hoo! I am going into my last semester of community college and then... I am not sure. This year is a little scary because what do you do after you are out of school? I am getting a job and working on getting a car but that'll take some time. xP
I hope you all had a great 2012 and that you have great plans for this new year! My older brother went off to ASU so now I have an art studio, awww yeah. I have to say, having two rooms is pretty sweet but that means I will actually have to use it!
My goals for this year are getting a car, a job, working on my fitness, but most of all, improving my art and finding some direction. I need to figure out a plan to really push myself into becoming better and finding out what makes me want to create art. I have been feeling stuck and I don't know what to do. I love creating but the drive to do so has been pretty weak for me lately.
What motivates you with your art? How have you gotten out of blocks in the past?

Posted 13 years agoSo the semester is coming to an end and while it is stressful to have final papers and projects, awesome stuff can happen.
I got an art scholarship from my community college! It's $2000 dollars for the whole next year so I don't have to pay anything to go! :D I am super excited and am a little surprised I got it because it was a competitive scholarship (though there aren't a lot art students at my college). Whoop!
I gotta kick into gear and start building up an actual portfolio now.... Art is srs bizness! >_>
On another note, it is getting really hot x_X I guess that's what I get for living in AZ but still, nuuuuu.... bye bye winter! :p
I hope everyone is having a successful semester or just year if you are not in school :)

My recent obsession is Portal 2~! I just got it for Christmas and I have been dying to play it ever since I played the first one :P It's for Xbox which is awesome because of the splitscreen co-op but I really want it on Steam too.... *rambleramble*
Anyway, Woo hoo for 2012! I really don't think the apocalypse is nigh but it will be interesting to see what all the people that think the world is ending will do in December... O-O

Summer!
Posted 14 years agoAhhh! Here comes summer! I am so glad to finish my classes for this year, finally! I am taking all my finals next Thursday and then I'll be home free! :D Next comes a summer job ._. bleh... xD
Anyway, I will try to become a bit more active in uploading now that I will have more free time... we'll see though -sleeps-... xP

Posted 14 years agoHappy Valentines Day everyone~! This is a shout out to all my fellow singles on this fine holi-day! =p
Today is also my birthday! x_X So you can imagine the awesomeness of other people getting giant bears and candy at school each year when I never do... O-< jk~! I don't want that stuff(psh commercialism)!! Therefore I am having a good day (well a good day after the following story about this morning). >o<
This morning my sister was having a sharp pain in her side and was feeling sick. My mom and brother brought her to the emergency room to make sure she didn't have appendicitis. Thankfully she didn't and it was just some killer cramps. I didn't go with them to the hospital because I was really concerned and started crying(I can't control it D:). I didn't want to freak her out(which I know she would have if she had seen me crying). So my mom promised she would come pick me up if anything major was going on.
Everything is okay now, she's just tired(woo painkillers)! I am so glad she is fine and I'm very grateful my prayers were heard. :)
I have had a crazy last few weeks(today has been the icing on the insanity cake O-o). My older sister had her daughter a month early, last Saturday(even before the baby shower!). My niece(Megan) was kept in the preemie care center for a week and now is doing very well. So the stress of her being born and then the craziness of preparing for the shower plus other stuff has all piled up which explains the meltdown I had this morning. -sweat drop-
Now I hope things will calm down a bit X_X!!! I feel better now that I typed all this out :)

Christmas Time is Here~!
Posted 14 years agoYay, It is finally Christmas~! So far it has been a pretty cool day; I got socks, slippers, a couple video games oh and a new TABLET~!!!! 8D It's awesome~! It is a Wacom Bamboo pen and touch tablet. A little bigger than my old one and it actually works on my laptop, hoorah!!! ^w^
I guess this means I have to actually draw stuff and put it up here now xD

I did it!
Posted 15 years agoSo I have been wanting to try and make a fursuit for a while and I finally got around to starting to sculpt a head... Well today i bought the fur from Fabric.com so it's official! I am going to make a partial fursuit~! Hopefully by Halloween... -gulp- I should have began sooner but too late now! lol It's going to be a house cat... not sure on names right now but i will try to post up progression pictures as i am chugging along xD Hooray!
