Been a while, right? ^^; Let's just say that with my school and my "budding" social life, this past few months (years?) have been crazy... in a great way!
Speaking of budding social life, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about a furry group, forum, wtv for furries living in Montreal and the areas around it? Summer is coming (slowly over here, but still) and I wanted to meet people to meet and chill with! I don't have a lot of chances to meet new people, even less people that have the same interest as I, and I think that with Furries I might have better luck.
So, anyone reading this that knows a Montreal group or a furry friend, send him/her my way! I would love to meet them! :D
For those of you who wonders if I will post more regularly, I will answer by the negative. The reason why I posted 2 (soon 3) in such a short time is because I am procrastinating for my exams (bad girl, I know ^^;)
(I hope I wont end up regretting this but...) for those of you that would like a simple drawing of your fursona with one of mine or yours alone, I am open to suggestions. Simple I said! It's just that sometimes I get art blocked and I need inspiration and the best way I've found until now is to draw other people's fur :3 You guys have great designs! Just post a link to your character sheet and tell me what you don't want me to do with your char or what you would prefer me to do with it. After that, I'll choose people randomly. Maybe not tomorrow, nor next week, nor even this year, but you'll have a chance to get a freebie from me for when I am bored and in need of inspiration. If I don't pick you, behave anyway please! Thank you.

How did you choose your Fursona?
Posted 13 years agoI was wondering : how did you guys found your fursonas?
I am having trouble identifying myself to one specie and when I do, I see that I could mix it with another one and so on! I am between 3 animals since in real life I act like those:
-a rat, I move like one, hold things and curl myself up like one when I crouch.
- a cat, also move like one but I also naturally do angry cat sounds when in pain and I look at things that shines like a cat would look at a mouse.
- and a dog since my butt wag when I am happy, sniff the air when I get a smell and I whine when I want food from someone. I also put my hand on my nose when I feel ashamed. ^^;
How did you guys chose your fursona's? How did you stop yourself on one design? Do you keep changing it? Are some of you still looking for the fursona that really appeal to you?

Adoptions! + list
Posted 13 years agoYeah, since I need money (I'm back in school with no job ^^;) and since I usually draw random character but I never intend to re-use them ever I had an idea: why not sell them to someone who might enjoy them more then I do?
So, here is the deal! I will draw characters once in a while, when I feel like it (for now, nothing is new) and I will post a small flat color version of them (ok...) with a price tag then, when someone buys that character, I will send you a full color high res big image version of that creation! Sounds good? I think that is what other adoption sellers does, don't they?
Anyway! I only wish that the person gives me the credit for the design but they can repost the full picture and use them as they wish or modify them! I know I will not be hurt if a character I did turns out with a different hairstyle or the other gender :P
This will be a first come first serve thing, no auction and what not, I will check every day, just post that you want it but don't send me the money right away. I will contact you. When you say you want it you have max 2 days to pay or it will go to the next person and such. You guys can pay me with paypal at my usual address ( mjstratfordd[at]gmail.com ).
BTW, I still sell the unnamed characters in my gallery! Just ask for it and I will make you a price :) Then your name will be tagged to it and I wont be able to sell it anymore :) Also, for the ones that I still have the line art and such ( i will indicate it) then I will be able to send you a high res version of that drawing also. For older drawings, if I do not have the line arts, I will make a price to redraw it with a simple background so you will have a update of that character :) Details bellow!

Back to school and commissions

If any of you were wondering why I was barely there anymore its because I am back to school full time for at least two years now :)
Which brings me to the subjects of commissions. I will take some, yes, but I will do them in my free time, in the evening if I am not swamped by home-works and projects. So I wont be finishing them in a week or two like before but more in a couple of weeks, depending of the size of the commission.
The prices didn't change from last time but I will still repost them:

you can pay by paypal. Usually I do one half then i start it, the other half after my final lines are done.
I am usually very open but for the don't i will right, don't even try or you will be turned down. There will be some stuff that I can do if you ask that won't be written here. If you don't see something in my gallery but you want me to try, just ask. I just wont totally guaranty the results :P
For the curious ones, yes Murasaki is open for commissions with her, just she always uses protection, that is my only condition except the ones down below.
Here is what I don't do in commissions:
- Heavy gore (I am not very good at it anyway ^^;)
- Scat (not even trying)
- Pee based drawing (golden showers and such)
- Really fat characters (not interested, sorry) I do chubby, not round enough to roll around fat tho
- Cubs sex (since it is now not allowed on FA ^^;)
You can ask me for commission trough notes here or trough my e-mail mjstratfordd[at]gmail.com , but don't forget to put ''commission'' or ''FA'' in the subject of the mail, since I flush everything that I don't now the source. Thank you for your understanding! <3
When you decided to commission me, please prepare some reference pictures or if you never got him/her drawn, a very complete description. I will prepare a series of questions so you don't forget something which can slow down the process of drawing the sketch and the colors. Also, if the reference picture is not perfect or have some details missing, please tell me what they are because I will not know.
I usually ask for you e-mails since I send the sketches, the line work, the colors and then the complete art trough it. Makes everything easier.
You have to give me an idea for the pose, picture reference helps to but is not needed, unless its really complicated since I will get lost in the description. You cannot change the complete position in the middle of a drawing. I might change the pose a bit if i cannot do it like you want but I will ask first. If you send me a pose reference from another artist, I WILL change it a little, so we both can be called originals. No copying. I can imitate a style to a certain degree only.
You can tell me to change stuff all the time until you accepted the sketch and I did the final lines. The sketch will be sent trough e-mail. Please check your mail often until the sketch as been called final so it wont make me wait and take to long to do.
If for some reason you change your mind and don't want me to finish the commission you still will have to pay for the amount of work I made. Exemple: You wanted a full color picture but you made me stop at clean lines or sketch, you pay only for the clean lines.
Commission in the moment:

I've been asked about buying some characters design I did. Since I have many no name characters in my gallery that I only used once it would be really no problem that you buy them from me. I can do a simple commission with them only in it for 15$ full color, 10 for flats, 5 for lines. So if you saw one of them in my gallery (there are tons) just ask! ^^
Well that is it for now. Like I've said earlier, I will create a form to fill for the character description because I had a lot of trouble sometimes to do the character right if I have to sort 5 different e-mail with partial description in all of them.

Update In Commission Prices

I wanted to remind you all that i take commissions part time, since i have everyday job to. I updated my price list to make it more accurate and precise to help people that want to commission me to foresee a price.
I will also put up the names of people that commissioned me and that are taking a spot for a future commission. Will make it easier for everyone to see where they are and how fast I go. If you are not comfortable to show your name for some reason tell me, I will just write ''taken''.
So here are the prices:
lines only are 15$, plus 5$ for complete extra character each, 3$ for partial.
flat colors are 20$, plus 10$ full body extra character, 7$ for partials.
and full colors are 30$ for one character. Extra ones are 15$ each for complete body character 10$ for partials.
Of course, if you have a 20 characters in action it might be a bit more expensive ^^;

Also, about my PCA characters, if you have comments, questions or names for nameless pokemorph that will come up soon, don't hesitate!
As you could see, I've gotten very productive of drawing of PCA and pokemorph so i wanted to do a journal with a little info on all my characthers, named and unamed. Not any background or anything, just their names, level in school and teams.
Here it goes:
-the venus teams are sophomore, it contains : Chrissy the bulbasaur, Jeri the rattata, Lizzy the leafeon and Lita the breloom. All female, Jeri as a girlfriend, Lizzy getting romanced and others free.
-the red rose team are freshmens, it contains : Aerelyn the bidoof, Caroleen the flaffy, Leuky the charmeleon and Juleika the piplup. All female and all single... for now! :P
-here are some characther that you saw but doesnt have teams, they are sophomore : Ocre the mothim, Nessa is a milotic, Gwen Mackayla the stantler (jeri girlfriend), Lupita the sableye (in couple with BlackYoshi64 umbreon).

When you decided to commission me, please prepare some reference pictures or if you never got him/her drawn, a very complete description. I usually ask for you e-mails since I send the sketches, the line work, the colors and then the complete art trough it. Makes everything easier.
You have to give me an idea of the pose, picture reference helps to but is not needed. You cannot change completely position in the middle of a drawing. I will change the poses a bit if i cannot do it like you want but I will ask first. If you send me a pose reference from another artist, I WILL change it a little, so we both can be called originals. No copying. I can imitate a style to a certain degree only.
You can tell me to change stuff all the time until you accepted the sketch and I did the final lines. The sketch will be sent trough e-mail. Please check your mail often until the sketch as been called final and the second half as been paid so it wont make me waiting and take to long for me to do it.
I also want to thank all of you in advance to thrust me with your characters and idea, it really means a lot! (cheesy but true :3)
Also, about my PCA characters, if you have comments, questions or names for nameless pokemorph that will come up soon, don't hesitate!
As you could see, I've gotten very productive of drawing of PCA and pokemorph so i wanted to do a journal with a little info on all my characthers, named and unamed. Not any background or anything, just their names, level in school and teams.
Here it goes:
-the venus teams are sophomore, it contains : Chrissy the bulbasaur, Jeri the rattata, Lizzy the leafeon and Lita the breloom. All female, Jeri as a girlfriend, Lizzy getting romanced and others free.
-the red rose team are freshmens, it contains : Aerelyn the bidoof, Caroleen the flaffy, Leuky the charmeleon and Juleika the piplup. All female and all single... for now! :P
-here are some characther that you saw but doesnt have teams, they are sophomore : Ocre the mothim, Nessa is a milotic, Gwen Mackayla the stantler (jeri girlfriend), Lupita the sableye (in couple with BlackYoshi64 umbreon).

Just making a blog here too to say that im open to do some commisions. Since a little while now, people called mi to do some fursonas for them and how would i manage to do it. well ill explain:
Firts i need a complete sheet for the description (eyes, pattenr, colors, etc.) and if you have reference pics of course ill use them and if you don't because i would be the first to do it we would tlak about it alot and ill find a way to create something you'll love.
Two, the pricing:10$ sketch, 20$ sketch+ink and 40$ full colored. You would have to pay the half first then the second half at the end of the art peice. We have to spend time talking together about your fursona(if you dont already have a drawing of it) and what to do. And for NO charge, Popabear will be Helping me out with my sketch by looking over what I do and you'll see its quite good wath he makes mi do! ^^
Three i send you a low resolution form of the black and white so you tell mi wath to change and wath not to change. The reason that i do that is that you can tell mi wath to change so don't be shy or don't tell mi after that i colored becasue i won't change it.
Four, how to reach mi? Well first you send mi a note here telling mi you are interested. Then if you have an e-mail or skype or, in last resort, msn tell mi your name and ill add you so we will be able to comminucated the details.
