Shaping up to be a very busy month for us. :) And this Saturday marks a very special day in our lives, we're getting married! Should be an awesome time with lots of family and friends we don't see too often coming down for our big day. This week is going to be a total blur, but very exciting times ahead.

So Megaplex is less than two weeks, who all will I see there? :)

Starting to get excited for the con, and I'll be helping out on a couple panels as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to be there the entire weekend, just Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday most likely, since suit work takes precedence and there are still several to wrap up this month.

As most makers have likewise been experiencing problems with manufacturer delay with fur, so have we to a degree. We were waiting for several bolts to come in after AC, and are still waiting on a couple more shipments although we now finally have most everything back in stock. :) There was a supply issue following the Japan earthquake, Monterey Mills was not receiving the fiber used to make the fur during that time, so certain colors became unavailable. We keep a pretty large stock of fur on hand (an entire room of it, pretty much wall to wall fur on rolls and shelved.) But the main colors we use the most are white/black, these get used somewhere on almost every suit, and they were unavailable for a few months from the manufacturer along with several other commonly used colors. We apologize if there are any delays created from this, but it was a situation pretty much out of anyone's control caused by the disasters in Japan.

I'll also be posting one of our personal suits up for auction soon, just need to put the listing together, and that will most likely be up by tonight. Link and info will be posted here. :)

Still waiting at the airport for our flight back home after a very awesome con! We had a total blast this year, even suited more than I normally do which was great. Already miss all of our friends that really made the con fun for us. Sometimes it's hard to hang with everyone, but I feel like we got to spend a good amount of time with most everyone which was great, miss you guys. :) Thanks to everyone that stopped by our table in the dealers den and chatted or kept us company, it made the days totally fly by.

The past few weeks have been an incredibly busy time for us as we prepare for AC, now a little under two weeks away. Time really does feel like it flies during times like these, but on the plus side we'll have a lot to show for full 7 day work weeks and the long hours we put in leading up to larger cons such as this.

We have a table in the Dealer's Room this year, so feel free to drop by and give us a shout. We'll have t-shirts (two designs, one which I'll be posting up soon), a few hand paws, feet paws, a couple heads on display and possibly a partial suit for sale as well.

Just as a general heads up, we are a bit slow on emails at the moment, particularly new quote requests/questions. If you sent in a request for a quote recently just hang tight and we'll be getting to them as soon as we can. It's hard to tackle all the emails each day as we are spending most of our time in the workroom on suits, but we'll be getting to them as soon as possible.

This morning my Lacybarnett@yahoo and Lacybarnett@gmail accounts were hacked, and a mass email was sent out to all my contacts asking for money to be sent via western union to the UK.

This email is NOT from us. We are not stranded in the UK, please ignore this email.

Good news is we have both the email accounts back already, should be secured this time and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it never happens again.


As a general heads up, we would never mass email all of our contacts and ask for help even if we were stranded. We have our family and even close friends that we would contact directly if a situation like that arose. So in case this ever happens again, please keep in mind we would never ask for help in a mass email.

A few of you have asked me if we will be doing a photoshoot of our work this year, and yes, we will be! :) Now that I have a better idea of the schedule and what's up, here's the info:

Fursuiting.com / Fursuits by Lacy & Nick Photoshoot will immediately follow the fursuit parade. Look for us as we will both be in suit for the parade and will do the group photo right after.

Time: SATURDAY 2:30 - 3:00 PM - If you are in the parade watch for us in suit, as we'll be hanging around and waiting to gather everyone


Today is going to be spent wrapping up a few final touches on suits, and then we'll work on getting photos later today of all the new suits. We'll be posting those up after the con.

I'm excited, we'll see all of you going to FWA very soon! :D

With FWA about 10 days away for us, thought I'd post a little update with what is going on. :)

We'll be at FWA Thurs-Sun, and we will have a table in the dealer's room this year, so feel free to drop by and say hi. We'll have some fursuit parts for sale, T-shirts, Hoodies, and possibly a couple other things as well.

We'll be taking part in quite a few panels this year, including:

- Meet the GOH
- Fursuit Body Construction
- Fursuit Head Construction
- Fursuit Meet and Greet

So if we aren't doing a panel, we'll be at our table or running around in suit for the most part.

Several new suits will be debuting at the con, probably won't be posting up any images here until after the con, so if you're there you will see. :D And if you aren't there, you'll still see, just a little bit later. :)

Can't believe FC is less than 3 weeks away, but Nick and I are both really looking forward to it. Instead of the usual wandering and suiting, this year I (or Nick) will be manning a table in the Marketplace along with my friend LV, so you can feel free to drop by and say hi to us. :) I'll be posting a little bit more about what we will have for sale nearer to the con, so you can get a peek in advance of what we will have to offer.

Sorry guys, link/auction is correct this time! :)

The head is lightly used (worn only a few times) and was built by OneFurAll Studios/Scribble Fox; the body, hands, feet, and tail are brand new (never worn except for auction photos) and were built by Fursuits by Lacy & Nick. Head features 3D follow me eyes, which means the eyes appear to always be looking at the viewer. Head also features a fully moving jaw which is very sensitive and moves when you open and close your mouth. Very comfortable to wear and easy to breathe. You see out the eyes (great vision) and breathe out the mouth. Hand paws are seperate and include black pawpads. Feet are built on slippers, very soft and comfortable, fit a max size 13 mens. The bottoms of the feet are hard soles for versatile indoor and outdoor wear. The tail is worn via a belt loop, and can be worn seperately from the rest of the costume if desired.

Measurements for this costume:
- Heads fits a maximum size 24" circumference (most all heads)
- Max height is 6'1" tall
- Chest maximum: 45"
- Waist maximum: 43"
- Hips maximum: 47"

Sadly Nick and I won't be at AC this year, but we finished everything up and shipped out several new suits over the past couple days. :) I'll be editing and posting up pics of all the new stuff probably just after the con. Posting another suit tonight that we shipped out shortly before all the madness.

We've been working on cleaning up the work room and organizing a bit since everything gets pretty crazy when we work a lot of long hours and days leading up to cons. Nick has basically single-handedly organized and vacuumed the whole work room, so it looks like tomorrow work can resume again, albeit at a slightly more relaxed pace for a couple weeks.

and I will both be at Elliot's Spring Gathering, starting on friday and hanging out for most of the event. We'll both be suiting as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing some good friends coming in from out of town as well as folks from around the area we don't get to see too often. :)

We are only taking a few new commissions at this time, and we will post here once again as soon as we close. We will most likely reopen late this year to fill any remaining slots we have left for 2011.

Updating the website and LJ/FA to get the word out, but we are currently CLOSED for new fursuit commissions.

We will reopen May 1, 2010 for commissions to be completed in the year 2011. If you had a quote or had recently inquired, you can get back in touch with me now if you wish to put down a deposit, but we are not going to be issuing any more price quotes until May 2010. :)

When we reopen, new slots will be filled for dates in 2011. Some of you already have deposits with us for that timeframe, and those are of course still valid if we have taken a payment from you.

We have plenty of work for the next year+ and want to try and keep our wait time for costumes to a year or less in the future. Plus this will allow us more time to focus on current customers so we can continue providing a high level of customer service.
