I was having a conversation with a friend, and a thought popped into my head.

I want to see, a popufur, someone who is well known throughout the fandom, bitching out a -high- profile artist for drawing them giftart, without asking for permission first. Not going "Well next time could you please ask me first" No, more like "Who the hell gave you the permission to draw X character? It's in giant red fucking letters on my front page, to ask me first before you get anything done of my character, and you didn't even try to ask"

I'd like to see how that turns out. Not them being ungrateful but being upset that the artist didn't ask.

Seemingly a strange thing to want to see but it feels like if it's a high profile artist giving you gift art, even if it's something your character would normally never do (bottoming, or sucking a cock, or whatever a no-no would be) they'll smile thank that artist and ride the art to higher status knowing they didn't pay $500+ or fight an auction to get this.

So I have some choices ahead of me. I have another smaller tax refund coming in sometime when we can get the money to send in the stuff. However It came to light yesterday that my life would be much much easier, if I had a laptop.

Problem is the things I want to do this year cost money.

I want to buy my new body suit which is $720.
I would love to buy a $600 laptop
Anthrocon (rough estimate) $500
furry cruise $1000+ (they..'voted' for the 2nd most friggen expensive choice.)


That's $2820 out of my rough $7,700 a year I make lol. Yes my work as it is right now is a joke I am working on getting a better job, but hell it's income.

If I choose to buy my fursuit and a laptop I can't do anthrocon, but if I buy the suit and don't do AC, whats the point in having the suit. It's really tough to figure out. And I'd prefer not to go into why I want the laptop, it's no anything insane but it would just make life much easier.

I don't have a hell of alot going on, looking at a job with more hours, and such but otherwise nothing to new on the front.

Every day, it makes me want to just nuke all my submissions that are in my inbox, it's just so apparent how much I lack money. I want to commission so many artists for so many things and I can't even do a few of the ideas.

It's almost depressing, it's so nice to spruce up my gallery with new shiny things now and again. I need to find a better job, I simply don't make enough money to live even close to the way I'd like to.

I'm a sex hound. I really am x.x I just sorta realizing how often it's on my mind, maybe I'm even as far as a nympho, but at the same time I know I'm not. I don't get weird symptoms or other negative effects if I don't jerk off, or have sex of any other kind. I suppose I gotta keep my mind busy.

But yea, I know I love it, I love doing it, with the people I care for and know I can trust. However, that's not to say those who I know IRL, and whom I call my friends, you're not just sex objects to me. You really are not. I know there are a few of you I do talk to frequently, and sometime very often about sex, I won't name names, but you're not a walking sex toy to me. I'm sorry if you have ever felt that way.

I guess I am just venting, it's been very hard to just find a normal partner I can have regular relations with. Can't seem to find anyone on xtube that will acutally fucking follow though with a meet up or set a date,(I know, be careful with shit like that, keep your eyes open so there not some freak) and the handful of people I know either live an hour+ away and are very busy or live 5+ states away. Making them all but unvisitable unless I take on a full vacation just to hang out with them.

I'm not looking for a perfect pornstar partner either, but I'd like someone who can ..ya know..get off normally. Someone I find mildly or greatly physically attractive, and yes that does mean more than their cock to me ;P Not need some crazy circumstances, or have stage fright or otherwise.

I feel like I live in the middle of nowhere, everyone is around me but no one is near me. I only see furies at bowling, and that's if I have the muster to go. I dunno, I know I can be a bit anti social with my constant computering. That's not to say I'm unwilling but no one is available or I'm flat broke (working on a better job, this one is just not paying me enough anymore) OR, there happily available..the two days a week I DO work the crazy hours I work. lol.

This journal is going to probably sound very selfish but fuck it anyways lol. I also know that I am not alone in this feeling

Sometime it just really annoys me how I just can't seem to win with any sort of raffle, or free art giveaway. And seeing as it's free I really shouldn't have room to bitch unless I paid for a ticket to get in.

But when I see a friend or a few friends, or just a fur or two in particular win over and over, across the board, their gallery filled with nothing but freebies, some of high quality and upper price ranges. It just annoys me to no end.

I've been fortunate enough to have disposable income to which I've paid artists for some seriously spectacular pieces. Some of which are hung on my wall next to me. I always look at them and smile. They really have captured Nara so well.


But it sometimes really gets to me when I'm that 6th person out of 5 slots, or by the time I see the journal, link a ref claiming a slot, in the 2 seconds it took me to do that 30 people have commented.

Or worse still, when I do acutally win and feel good becuase I acutally won one of these things. It's either becuase they opened 10-50 slots, and by the time they get to me. (I'm normally somewhere in the middle or the end, (still haven't been able to claim a 1st spot lol) They've burned themselves out, cancel the remaining slots and say "you can't be mad lol it was supposed to be free" And I was either next or within a spot or two of being next in line to be drawn. That burns the most I gotta admit.

but again this is just me venting, being selfish as is our nature. I don't expect some gracious gift from someone giving up a slot or nothing I'm not butthurt about losing any one particular raffle, just venting.

Well for my family atleast. got everything that I could afford, on their list however small, feels good to acutally have my own money to go out and think of others and get little gifts for them. Nothing huge or major this year, but still everyone should be happy, and it will add to the 'pile' on xmas day.

Trying to take the right steps and stop just asking for gifts from my friends and acutally start giving rather than just expecting to receive.
