I finished uploading art from 2018 Tumblr, aside from one or two things I think, which I might throw into Scraps if I remember. But for anyone who wasn't aware, virtually anything that was nsfw (or not at all, in many cases) got flagged across the entire website. I had to remove a lot of things, most of which I don't remember. For anyone who kept tabs on me there, were there any nsfw or any pieces that got dealt with during the purge that you remember and can't find in my gallery?

If there was anything specific I forgot and you want to see again, please leave a reply and let me know, thank you!

As for new art, it'll be coming soon! My health still kinda sucks at the moment but I'm kinda just sticking with it. Hope you're all staving off those 2020 blues still. First thing's first, yes, I'm uploading stuff again. I'm starting with older stuff, so today it's just been art from 2018, but I'll be working through and picking and chosing art I still like or have some sentimental fondness for.
I've mostly been confined to Twitter since Tumblr's implosion, which has been... interesting but not necessarily my ideal. I miss having a gallery I can look back through easily, and being able to edit and update pieces. FA is far from the best either, uploading is a chore, and I don't really know how active it is these days, but I'm going to do my best to keep it more current from now on, I hope! I'd love to see the community here be a little more active, and I'm sure some of my followers have moved on and rarely check, but for those that do, I am extremely thankful to any likes and thoughtful comments you might leave me.

Aside from that, 2020 mostly sucks for everyone. It's not been great for me either, as I was sick for half of the year. I do not know if it was covid or a regular flu, but it was kind of a nightmare either way. I hope everyone is taking their health seriously, as it really is no joke.
I also hope everyone is being kind and good to everyone around them and loved ones too. Everyone needs a lot of support this year, loneliness is going to be a big problem for a lot of people, and finances are hard... so please think of those around you. And remember the artists on here and elsewhere are real people too, and struggling just as much as anyone else.

I am not taking commissions at this time. Bear with me until I can finished off some owed artwork and get myself back in order, and I may be able to take a few here and there if you are interested, thank you!

I've never been one for making many journals or posting art here regularly, but I really have been quiet here in the last few months for a combination of health reasons and laziness on my part. I'm still arting, just I keep forgetting to upload regularly here.

So, some people mighta noticed I've been pretty dead lately, I haven't uploaded anything in awhile either here or on Tumblr. There's a buncha reasons behind that, but the main thing is that sadly my cat died last month. I've been pretty beaten up about it since, some days are worse than others and it's shook me up more than I expected it would as I knew it was coming. I just really didn't want him to go... but he had a good life, and he went peacefully. It's just heartbreaking. He meant so much to me and my family...

It's sort of made everything else I'm unhappy or discontent with feel ten times worse, so I'm pretty messed up and probably will be for awhile yet, since it's not really going away. I'm pushing on and digging my heels in and thinking what I can do to keep myself happy, though~ even if it's just small things at a time.

SO. We're into May and my birthday is coming up in less than nine days, which... is actually making me feel worse as I'd rather stay in my 20s forever. ;w; It feels like a big change, even though I know it's just a number and nothing will really be different. But I would like to really focus on getting my life on track rather than treading water the whole time, which I do a lot of~

Words and thinking clearly are difficult right now as my head is still thinking of fifty different things at once, so I might cut it short. My primary focus is dealing with the leftover commissions that my sickness and loss put on the back burner. My motivation for work has returned a little after being at an all time low, so I will be updating the last couple of people who are waiting on the final pictures asap. After this is done, I think I may look into taking sketch or linework commissions for awhile, or possibly head shots, or something different anyway, just to keep my workload simple and allow me to also focus on personal projects to keep me sane. Hooopefully that'll work out. :3

My Ask Fyxie blog has been suuuper neglected for a long while. I need to fix this, either by rebooting it or just getting back on the wagon or trying something similar but different. I'd love to try a comic of some sort.

Anyway, that's about all~ trying to remain positive despite being in a bad place lately. Thank you ever so much to those who are being super patient with me. You're stars, and thank you all for supporting me as I try my best to become a good artist. <3

I hoped I wouldn't have to make this journal, but since Saturday I've been hit with a really nasty cold (or mild flu...?) that's pretty much kept me in bed a lot of the time and pretty weak and grotty the rest of the time. I get colds every now and again and usually shrug them off in a couple of days but right now I have no idea how long this is going to last, so wanted to make this journal just to let commissioners know that it's knocked my productivity to almost zero for awhile now.

I will be sending some wips to those commissioners I have something worth showing to, just to make up for it, but otherwise for those I haven't started on, I hope it's okay if you can be patient with me in the meantime. I still aim to get them done within the month but that target is looking a bit hard to hit for everyone if I remain sick for much longer.

Aside from that, my cat is kinda seriously sick too, so... not in a good place right now. Huge apologies to commissioners if it causes any further delay, but I thought it'd be best if I just let you guys know. I'm hoping this dies down within a few days but I really thought it would of gone by now, but nope. I feel unbelievably rotten right now. =x=;

Going to try things a little bit different this time around.

This time I will be taking single character pin-up commissions, similar to this:

I understand some people might be disappointed with this if you had wanted multiple characters, and sorry, but this time around I really want to be able to take commissions without burning out, and the last time I took some I had to deal with things like armour and whatnot. I'm happy to do that sort of thing, but I need a break from it this time!

Frankly, since I really enjoy doing pin ups, you'll probably get better art from me anyway.

So this time around it's pretty simple... it's full colour, in this aforementioned style here and also here. Final pic will likely be a little bigger in resolution but not massively so. Lineart will be in the same style, in particular. Each commission slot is $55.

Just taking five slots for now. If you're interested, please hit me up with a note, showing me your character, any particular pose you would prefer (reference pics are helpful, if possible) and any type of clothing, if any at all (nothing too complex like armour, please!). Ecchi and nude things are allowed, but nothing too explicit. Please bear in mind I MIGHT have to turn stuff down if it's a bit too far outside my comfort zone but I aim to attempt what I can and hopefully that won't actually come up at all.

Hey everyone, hope you had great holidays and stuff~ owo Ours wasn't ideal. Between my grandmother being admitted to hospital (she's still there and doing okay, but for awhile it looked really bad) and some issues with deliveries it was a little crud, but it coulda been worse. On the plus side my hand is doing a lot better lately (touch wood).

So the commissions I took before Christmas were... a learning experience. Frankly I took on more than I could really handle. It wasn't so much the number of commissions but it was the type. I don't think I'll be taking multi-character commissions for awhile, or at least none that involve three or more characters.

I still have two more commissions to finish (apologies for the delay guys) but other than that I'm pretty much done. I've taken about a month to do five, two of which were big multi-character pictures, so that's not too bad by my standards, but I had hoped to get them all done prior to New Years, which was probably expecting a bit much of myself, given all the stuff that was going on. I haven't been able to do much personal art, and just one Christmas picture, even though I would of liked to do more gifts for friends. Ah well! Learning experience. Next time I'll know to take less (or none) in December and focus on November.

I hope to upload more pics here soon, since I have been neglecting it slightly when it comes to regular uploads. I would like to get to the stage where I'm uploading at least one or two (hopefully coloured) things per month. But since I mainly just keep this site for anthro arts, it means some of my derpy video game fanart gets lumped onto my Tumblr instead.

I will try not to neglect either site, though.

I want to keep getting better, but colouring doesn't come naturally to me at all and is a very time consuming thing. I hope to find more ways to do coloured art without spending days on a single piece. More coloured sketches, perhaps~ that way I can get better at it and not waste time on a picture I become unhappy with by the end.

I think I need to upload more Fyxe pics, since Tumblr made that request of me, but I wonder if you guys would wanna see more of other characters too? I tend to default to Fyxe and even just draw her as a different critter if I wanna draw something different, but I do worry that's a bit lazy of me. Obviously even if I did draw more characters, she'd still be the main focus... I was even thinking of doing a new reference picture of her. Not a whole sheet, but something to solidify some minor adjustments over the years.

My funds are running quite badly low lately, so I am opening up some slots to draw thigh-high sketches with grayscale colouring and light shading like this~

As my funds are so low, and last time I took commissions it was a bit of a slog and a few people said I was undervaluing myself (I'm not a fast artist), so this time I'm taking just three slots at $40 (about £25)... but I am putting my ALL into these, you will get something as good as that or better, I promise! I work best when I'm really trying my hardest, and the exchange rate and my art speed makes it difficult, so I apologize for the cost and to those who can't afford it.

The shading will also probably be even nicer than that one, as I wasn't planning to do it at first, but added it because I was worried it wouldn't be worth it alone~ =3=;

And if you REALLY like how it comes out, I could perhaps turn the grayscale into colours for a minimal extra fee. :3 MAYBE. Not sure yet. We can discuss it after it's done if you like.

Along with my Tumblrs, my FA has been a bit neglected recently. I'm sorry about that, I have actually been drawing a few things but rarely finishing them, but there is also a bunch of things I could upload but haven't done. In a bit of a slump where I'm not 100% happy with things I draw because I know I can do better, but some of it is still a lot better than many things I've uploaded, so I need to fix that.

My FA is still mostly filled with gifts and commissions from others and I kinda feel like maybe I need to change that, but not sure how exactly. I'll figure something out!

I appreciate those people who keep an eye on my account and all the kind replies and notes, and I'm sorry I don't always reply. Art and FA are a hobby more than anything else, but I really have been neglecting things, particularly my ask blog, and I'm very sorry for that. Hope to make it up to you all soon!
