Regarding rumors of season 6:
Fukuani Shinban, which posts broadcast information of upcoming anime, reported a 6th season of Digimon called “Digimon Around.” This quickly spread across the internet to many blogs and websites. Fukuani is essentially the source of the rumor.

The site was revised at some point. The listing for Digimon Around was removed and the following announcement was added (translated into English for your convenience):

“To all the fans of [Digital Monsters], plans for a new game seem to be moving ahead. The anime however...

November 24 (Wed)
Regarding [Digimon Around], I would like to humbly apologize for any confusion I may have caused among Digimon fans. I am sorry. I am truly sorry, but between the initial rumors and confirmation of the real situation, it seems I forgot to remove the entry. I caution hopeful fans to take this as a pending work until it has been televised. I've only seen reruns, but it was a very good show. If it has the support of fans around the world, it will come to fruition one day just as anime fans are wishing.”

There is also some info on the site regarding staff, which includes Watanabe Kenji, “Volcano” Oota, and a third person whose name I’m not sure how to read. Their collective works include Digital Monsters, Onmyou Taisenki, Legendz, and Crash Gear.

Regarding gaming:
The official release date for Digimon Story: Lost Evolution for Nintendo DS has been set as 7.1.2010, as shown on the official website. There are also some new mini-games, which you can play.

My take:
Most of us were expecting a new Digimon season in April. That is very unlikely at this point. However, a new Digimon season at some later date in the year is still possible. Peripheral marketing leads me to believe this. First, the DS game is being released during the summer. It would make sense for an anime to be released around the same time or afterwards to support the game. Second, Digimon merchandise is still selling well. The Digimon 10th Anniversary Memorial Book is currently #1 in sales in the anime category and #9 overall on Cdjapan. In addition, the Digimon Battle MMO seems to be spurring interest in foreign markets as well. Looking at Japanese blogs, Japanese fans also seem to have a strong interest in a new season. In short, the franchise is still very much alive, and producing an anime would be a logical step by Toei to capitalize on this interest.

So I made a conscious decision yesterday to purchase Pokemon SoulSilver AND a Nintendo DS (I work at GameStop, so I got a discount on both). Thus far, in 24 hours of owning the game, I have put about 9 hours into it.... damn.

Call me crazy, call me worrisome, but I have started serious budgeting for my cons this year. I have a fursuit to finish paying off by MFF, and need to allocate money toward figuring rooming (I've already placed money aside for myself for con tickets).

Chances are that I'll be bringing to IFC at the very least, but I would love to be able to get him to others, especially MFF.

So let me ask you this:

Who is going to AC that can spare a room?

Who is going to MFF that will have space for 1 or 2?

Any safety tips for a photographer with several thousand $ worth of glass, walking around on the streets? Okay, so I won't exactly be on the streets by myself at any point, but I do plan to go to the zoo and do a small amount of sight-seeing during my 4 days there.

Anthrocon isn't all that far away, you know. I've been pondering it for a few months now, and am starting to feel like it's time to ask who out there is going to have a room vacancy for a dragon and his tegu? I don't take up much space, and will sleep on the floor (preferred unless I call shotgun on a bed first) :3

Yes, I will be bringing  TeganTegu. He doesn't bite, and everyone seems to love him no matter where I go, or whom I talk to. He will love you, and you will love him too. Resistance is futile.

My dear friend  Inuchan just helped me spawn the idea of Fursuit Photoshoots; taking pictures of people in their suits, posing, and getting professional prints made. My question is, would anyone out there be interested, and if so, what kinds of prices should I charge? (this is open for anyone to answer).

I'll also be attending GenCon and IFC with  Zeezy this fall, and will have my own rooms reserved. The person(s) who board me for AC, if present for IFC, will be granted boarding at the con.

I want to thank everyone for following us at Ryuu-Rogue for the last 6 years on our journey through Legendz. It's been fun talking to all of you, and I am happy I could have been a player in the making of this subbed series.

Here's to you  Nezucho, you're definitely the one to give the most props to. You pushed on when other people were absent, and even through college, you set aside precious time to get this series out. Thank you very much! :3

Okay, so eBay pulled the laser due to a hazard warning. Apparently it's considered a weapon to them, and they can't have it posted.

Is anyone out there interested in a 95mW Green laser for $200? If so, please PM me ASAP.

Note, this laser will pop balloons, light matches, burn through plastic, and the beam can be seen in broad daylight. Also, the beam is visible up to 15 miles away. It's a heck of a toy, but I need money more than toys right now. Thank you!

I may have mentioned this before, but this week I will be sending in a payment to lock in a spot for my upcoming fursuit.

I have entrusted  Midori8 with this task, a very nice person, a reptile fanatic + breeder, and someone I'm proud to call a friend. Met her at MFF '09, and had fun playing with our lizards (litterally).

ETA of finishing has been slated for just before MFF '10. Will keep you all updated as best I can.

Well, my hatchday was an overall great day. I hung out with a couple furiends and played giant chess, and went out for sushi with my dad. Hung out at the Apple store all day for the big announcement, and was pleasantly surprised by what was shown. Epic!

Now before anyone posts any comments arguing one way or the other about the iPad or Apple in general, let me make a few things clear:

I am an extremely mobile dragon. I travel 200-300 miles a week, and haven't been in one place for more than 8 hours in the past 2 years. If there is any one person who sees the massive potential and usefulness in something as beautiful and perfect as the iPad, it's me.

I LOVE my iPhone; it's already perfect for everything I do, want to do, and need. It's my companion, and I would be lost without it. Now that there's a new device on the horizon that's going to take everything a step above and beyond, I am psyched beyond belief. The iPad is a gaming device, and a mobile platform for basically anything you want to do. While it's not a full-fledged computer, it still does a lot more, a lot faster than a computer.

I'm going to be getting one as a graduation present in April, so I'll give my full hands-on review of it at that time, but I'm extremely excited to play with it.

I'm going to spend all day at the Apple Store. <3

This dragon is going to be 21 years old according to human measurement. According to that, I'll be able to attend the wine tasting event at my relative's military wedding in mid-march. Excellent.

Apple is "slated" to make their big announcement on Wednesday as well. This is going to be bigger than big. This is a game-changer for the industry if all goes well. Hopefully I'll be able to afford a Mac Slate this year, and depending on what it can do, may affect weather I purchase the next new iPhone as well. Who knows? See you in the TUAW board this Wednesday after the announcement from Cupertino. ;3

List of things to get done in the next 60 days:

-Acquire Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 lens for wedding in California

Yes that's right! January 27th is quickly approaching as we count down the final days before one of the biggest announcements in Apple's history, as they unveil "one more thing" that's going to change the computer industry as we know it. The purported iSlate / Mac Touch / Apple Tablet, whatever you choose to call it, is just around the corner. Be sure to watch and wait as the world watches to see what old Steve Jobs has in store for us.

It's projected that iPhone OS 4.0 will launch, alongside the Tablet, and the new OS is supposed to bring a bit of new interfacing that both the Slate and iPhone will share (3G and 3Gs only). The iPhone 4G is also set to be announced, hopefully with the long-awaited frontal camera for a mobile iChat. Whatever happens, it's going to be big, and it's going to shake the world.

This is my big 21st hatchday present from Apple, and I can proudly say that this is going to be my best yet. Of course with Apple, the best is yet to come.

Let the countdown begin!
