Fuck. + New account
Posted 8 years agoI just got diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis.
And I'm moving accounts to
Crowbrat to drop this old handle and keep things consistent. It'll be a bit dead for a little bit while I'm finishing this degree though.
And I'm moving accounts to

Hmmm......
Posted 8 years agoI hit 6000 pageviews on here a bit ago but I don't know how I feel about it. I'm just so bored here now. I never get any feedback and hardly anyone has been interested in my art for a while. It's just not as fun as it used to be.
At this point, I'm not sure if I want to stay but I keep thinking that maybe if I post more people would be more interested even though I also feel like I'm just throwing my stuff into a void when I post it here.
I just don't know.

3 days left to enter the raffle!
Posted 8 years agoFree Raffle! Ends Valentine's Day!
Posted 8 years agoLet's revive this account with a fee raffle. Since I quit Starbucks, I now have a ton of free time so I can afford to do one fully finished piece as a reward for a random winner.
Rules:
1. You can only enter once.
2. You cannot enter your friends, they must enter themselves.
To Enter:
Comment below with a hello! Feel free to add your character ref and a one sentence summary of who your character is. Fanart included, real person or character so long as adequate reference is provided.
You don't have to be watching me to enter, but I appreciate every watch anyways. You don't have to share this out to enter either, but that's also appreciated since it'll be more fun if more people play.
A winner will be picked at random via number generator at 2pm EST on February 14th, 2017.
Comment below to enter and, as always, may the odds be ever in your favor.

I quit my day job
Posted 8 years agoStarbucks has become quite the shit hole so I gave up on it and, though I'm still looking for a job elsewhere, I'm going to reopen commissions. I'm working on adjusting my prices to fit industry standards because I'm not into undercutting myself anymore and my process has changed and I need my prices to reflect that.
So, sit tight for new commission prices and more art. It'll be slow going for a little bit because of classes but this will be my last quarter with three classes so I should be able to pick it up soon enough.

Life is weird and I'm not Dead Yet
Posted 8 years agoSo I feel like a huge bitch for it but my and
ShawnKayne's relationship is basically nonexistent in the haven't spoken in months way but I guess that's what happens when you hide your relationship in real life. We weren't ready for that move, obviously. So I decided to try and meet people out on a limb. Mostly as a way of meeting potential friends but also with the possibility of maybe dating later. I was a hit, no surprise being decently pretty and having tits n vag, but I actually hit it off with a few people. Met someone from school and a handful of others but one dude in particular managed to pique my interest and get me on a date and that kind of exploded in a good way.
Long story short, I'm now dating a marine candidate, David. I love him a fuck lot already and we have the same relationship goals. So for now, we're gonna stick it out through his training while I finish my degree and then if we make it through that, we'll move in together and go (probably quickly) from there. Good thing is, I can proudly show him off and I can do my job from anywhere as long as I have the equipment so I can go where he goes. Which, apparently, is going to be Nevada to start with.
So for now, I'm spending as much time with him as possible before the other part of life resumes in January. I'm going to see GOT7 in Chicago as a final fun college thing and then I'm buckling down, working on my portfolio, career and presence. And then when he's stabilized his career, we're calling it final.
The plan is there.
And in the mean time, I'm going to try to keep my galleries updated so you'll be seeing some more comic art concepts and student work and some Kpop art since that's something I'm having fun with. I'll post my stuff from last quarter before the new one starts and a couple other things before the year ends hopefully. I know I kinda abandoned this account for a bit but shit happened.
Anyways. Stay tuned for art.
Love,
Crow.

Starbucks Tips
Posted 9 years agoIf you're not sure what you want yet, don't hold up the line by hanging out at the register trying to figure it out. If you're asking the barista on register for advice if you have some idea of what you want, that's okay as long as you aren't too picky and therefor holding up the line. It's rude to the other customers.
Don't get mad at the baristas because the store you usually go to does one thing and the store you're currently at doesn't. IE: My store stops selling dark and blonde roasts and decaf after noon due to the lack of demand and subsequent wastage. It's not our fault that we don't have it. We can offer you alternatives, but we can't bend our store policy for one customer.
Understand that when there are a lot of people waiting at the bar when you put in your order that it's going to take some time for your drink to be made. Same with putting in a mobile order, it'll be put in line when the sticker comes out. Some stores don't have the space to have four baristas on bar. It takes time to steam milk, pull shots and blend drinks. Some stores also have less than others, like my store only has one blender and we only have enough space for 2 or 3 baristas on bar. It'll take us a minute, but you'll get your drink.
Also don't get mad that your drink wasn't made right, especially if there's a lot of drinks to be made. It can be overwhelming for baristas when we have a ton of different drinks to make all with different customization. Just ask and we'll remake it for you.
If you ask for water at the register and there's a lot of people waiting on their drinks already, be patient. We can't just pick which drinks to make first, we do them in order of placement. Just because it's not hard to make doesn't mean we'll give it special treatment.
Also don't cut people off at the register because we offered you a refund for your dissatisfaction. Wait patiently in line and we will help you.
Don't stay on your phone while ordering. If you're trying to pull up your app or reload it, step out of line to do it.
If you miss us calling out your drink, and most of the time we'll do it multiple times if it doesn't get picked up soon, because you were talking or were on your phone, etc, don't get mad at the barista. It is your fault that you didn't hear us call your drink.
I could probably put more.
Sincerely,
A very tired Starbucks barista.

New account for Nursery School
Posted 9 years agoSince we got locked out of the old one due to not having access to the email and never changing it, I made a new one. If you want to keep up with Nursery School, my and Shawn's comic, go watch
NurserySchool. I'm still uploading all of the references and the one promo art that I have currently. It's still in preproduction for a while, at least until Parable is finished, which should be in a few months.
Either way, go watch the new account for all the promo stuffs until I start making pages, and in the mean time, go watch
shawnkayne for my love's spinoff series already in production.
