Yeeeep, that's right! I've been a furry writer for one whole year! It was one year ago yesterday that I wrote and uploaded my first ever babyfur story Straight To The Point and started onto the path that has led me to where I am now. When I uploaded that story, I had 900 pageviews, 15 watchers, and a grand total of zero friends in this fandom. Here we are, one year, twelve months, fifty two weeks, three hundred sixty five days later, and my pageview count has increased by 1,200%, my watcher count has increased by 3,150%, I have since uploaded over 75 stories, and I've made more wonderful friends than I could ever have imagined.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to announce my new account! No, I'm not going to be leaving Gamestreamer, and this will remain my tame furaffinity upload gallery. All my tame babyfur, transformation, etc. work will be uploaded here. However, I ask you all to watch my community account,  orderoftheowl which, while currently empty, will soon by the account I do raffles, commissions, community projects, etc. from. If you like my stories, and would like one for free, you'll have to watch that account, too It will go active on my hatchday, July 15th, and I'll have a grand community project to celebrate!

I'd like to give a shout out one of you reading this has contributed more to me than anyone else in my life, and to whom I am eternally grateful. You've stuck with me through high and low, thick and thin, and I there is no doubt in my mind that it was your selflessness, affection, optimism in the face of all doubt, and overarching kindness that has kept me going for the best part of this past year. On September 11th 2013 at 9:05 PM (Your time) I told you that we had become closer, and that you had made more of a difference in my life in LESS THAN A MONTH than many people whom I had known and been close friends with for years. That was, and remains true to this day. You know who you are, and I love you.

I offer two main types of commissions, which I will explain herein.
Full Commissions: These are long, drawn out story commissions of varying length with high-detail prose, plot arc, and developed character. (Keep in mind these must be a minimum of 3,000 words long.)
One Hour Sprints: These are the writing equivalent of speed sketches. I will open for them in batches of 10 every so often, and they will be done relatively quickly. They are written in one hour, are usually approximately 2,000 words long, and are less expensive per word than my Full Commissions. The tradeoff is that the commissioner has less control over the final product. (For more information on Sprints, read their dedicated journal, here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5451705/)

I normally only open for commissions through journals, but if you need your commission urgently, there will be an additional 30% rush fee. (13$ per thousand words as opposed to my normal 10$ per thousand words, CAD) If you want a commission, and you see that I'm open, note me with a simple "I have read your TOS and I'd like a commission slot, please," or something like that. I don't need all your information, yet.

So you've placed an order. How do I queue my commissions? All commissions will be worked on in the order in which I am paid. After you have ordered your commission, I will send you a commission planner. Fill this in and return it to me, and then I will send you my pay-pal. After you have sent me payment, I will schedule your commission and tell you when it will be written. Therefore, those who get their commission planners filled out the soonest get their story soonest! On the note of extraordinarily long stories (those that are 20,000 words long or more, or that are intended to be multi-part and paid for in sections). I will break larger stories into digestible chunks, work on them for a while, then switch to another story so that nobody has to wait long periods of time. I charge 10$ CAD per thousand words in a story. If you want to apply for a rush commission, it is raised to 10$ per thousand words. A Sprint commission is 10.60$. There are other bits and bobs I offer, as well as one or two modifiers and discounts which will be explained in their own section.

>>>THE PROCESS<<<
1) You reserve a slot via FA notes, including your desired story length, discount applications and a short summary of your idea.
2) I send you a commission planner.
3) You fill in the commission planner and send the completed planner back to me. A good planner should be about 5% the word-count of the final story. In the event you want to give me creative freedom for a story, I'll usually send you an outline before hand. This outline will usually run 3-5% of the total length, and will count as part of the story. Once the outline is okayed, I will continue.
4) I will either request changes (Unlikely, but this will be explained more later), or give you the A-Okay and have you give me your paypal adress.
5) I will invoice you for the agreed upon amount, and will continue once the invoice has been paid.
6) I will queue your story, tell you the ETA of when I'll start and finish, and then begin working.
7) You will wait patiently until your story is completed. If you want updates on your story while I'm writing it (if I get to yours earlier than expected, or if there's delays, I'll note you), feel free to ask! Generally, you won't have to wait more than two weeks for a 5,000 word story, unless the queue is longer than usual, or something unexpected has happened (personal injury, technical difficulties, other commitments, etc). Please, however, restrict yourself to no more than one update request per week. I get a lot of notes, after all, and I'm sure everyone would prefer I spent my time working, rather than digging through four or five update requests per commissioner per week!
8) I deliver your finished commission. If you want to be the first to read it, tell me in advance and I'll note it to you before I upload it.
9) I upload your finished commission.

>>>POST DELIVERY CHANGES<<<
I cannot offer changes to words that have already been written. This is purely a personal matter. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and this shows especially true with my writing. I cannot, for example, read any of my own writing for three months after I've written it. If I try to, I will compulsively delete the file, and destroy any copy of it I can get my hands on. If this sounds like a concern, like I'm trying to do shoddy work and get away with it, feel free to look at my commissioner feedback journal (Link above) or read any of the stories in my gallery. I can promise that anything I write for you will be of at least that quality, if not better. If you are truly unsatisfied with your product, tell we'll work something out on a case by case basis.
I am NOT responsible for discrepancies caused by details omitted from your planner.

>>>WITH REGARDS TO LARGER STORIES<<<
If your story is intended to be a larger, ongoing story (A-la The Vacant Years, Twinkle Twinkle, Two Weeks, etc), I reserve the right to take some creative liberties with pacing, chapter beginning/ending points, etc. If a change is at all significant (most of them aren't), I will discuss it with you before continuing. If you are commissioning a story within a Canon Universe of mine, (Eg. The Caretaker Universe, the Lactis Mundi universe, Anthill Empire universe, etc) then I reserve the right to bring details into line with the canon for that universe. Again, if any details are significant, I will go over them with the commissioner before continuing. It is also to be expected that a small number of words will be expended on the subject of preliminary character bios and plot summaries. These will not exceed 5% of the total commission length, and bare in mind that they're intended for my personal use, not disclosure for the commissioner. I will deliver them at the very end of a project, if the commissioner insists, but also bare in mind that they're often riddled with personal short-hand, writer jargon, personal notions and are organized in a system that would make little sense to the average person, but which I can take in at a glance. If, as a commissioner, you want fancy, official character bios, those can be arranged at a fair rate! These are not those, however, but rather a tool of mine used to increase the cohesion of a story that might otherwise become chaotic, and to compensate me for the hours of otherwise unpaid planning that goes into maintaining high standards of quality on such large works.

I'm a pretty open person in general, especially when it comes to sex and fetishes. The only hard and fast lines I can draw regarding commission content is that I won't write gore porn (combat scenes with gore are okay, it just can't be sexualized), and I will absolutely never ever under any circumstances write minors in sexual positions, or abusive disciplinary positions (No hitting, striking of children, etc). No exceptions. With that said, there are some things I'm more skilled at than others. I'm most experienced with babyfur/diaperfur/regression type stories, I'm also experienced in transformation writing. If you're interested in something less innocent (by which I mean literary porn), I have no qualms about that at all, as long as it takes place between adults (18 years or higher). On the note of weird, obscure, or unique fetishes, it really doesn't matter to me! (Some especially weird fetishes will incur an additional fee, and I may decline entirely if a certain fetish makes me feel uncomfortable, such as familial incest, or if a subject is particularly frustrating to write, such as certain types of mind-altering fetishes, or anything involving personality swapping. See my "Additional fees and Discounts" section for more information. If that doesn't help you, note me!) Additionally, it should be noted that all commission will be written in a first-person point of view unless the commissioner requests a different point of view.

>>>COMMISSION EXTRAS<<<
In addition to my regular commission types, I have a handful of extras that you can purchase or not with your commission at your leisure.
1) Planning sessions: Want a commission but don't know what of? Have a half-formed idea that you want to build on, but don't know how? This is for you. Planning sessions are a one hour long story planning session, where I ask you questions and fill out your planner for you. This incurs an additional charge of 10$
2) Rush fees. I've already touched on this, but I'll explain it in more detail. A Rush Commission costs 30% more (10$ per thousand words instead of 8$ per thousand words), but gets you put into the queue even if you missed a slot (a new slot is created, you don't take it from someone else), and you are first in line to be written.
3) Private Commissions: What I post on Furaffinity (and/or other sites) are my only advertisement. If you want me to not upload the story, or to only have it uploaded yourself, I'll require compensation. Price will depend on the length of the story.
4) GURPS character sheet: In some cases, I've had commissioners request GURPS sheets from me, either for their own role-playing use, or as a rough guide to their character's advancements through an adventure or similar sort of plot. Be advised I charge the equivalent of 1,000 words per character sheet, since these take the better part of an hour to make.

>>>COMMISSIONER, ARTIST AND VIEWER RIGHTS<<<
(Me explaining the obvious in dense legalese ahead. Prolonged exposure may cause headaches)
Commissioner may upload the story wherever they wish, so long as I am credited as the original author. They may not print or re-distribute the story for a profit, either on its own or among other stories in a compilation. They may also not alter the story in any way themselves, hire another writer to alter the story in any way, etc. If you wish to have the story edited after delivery, or to edit it yourself, I will allow this under the condition that you acquire my prior written permission.
The artist (Me) may upload the story wherever I wish. I may print or re-distribute the story for profit, either on its own or among other stories in a compilation unless request is made in advance by the commissioner. I may alter or edit the story after delivery to improve it, and may re-upload the edited version onto the internet.
Viewer may read or distribute for free any freely distributed commissioned story (Eg: you may print the text as a literature study, or for education, etc.). They may under no circumstances alter or modify the story, text, names, species, or any other part of the story without my express written permission. To do so is illegal, and will be addressed thus.

>>>ADDITIONAL FEES AND DISCOUNTS<<<
If I feel that a certain fetish or theme is something I will have a hard time writing, I may incur an additional fee. This is unlikely, and if you see any of it in my gallery, it’s probably fine. If you’re uncertain about anything in particular, note me with the details and I’ll tell you whether there’s a fee or not.
Discounts: There are a number of things that I want to write, and will therefore give a discount for.
Having any of these as the main theme in a story incurs a specific discount: (Most are NSFW. If you’re not looking for that, skip the first section) *These discounts may not always be available, and are liable to change or disappear at any time!*
Section 1: Fetishes
A character (male or female) transforms from a human to an anthro or feral animal of the same or opposite gender, or an anthro transforms into a feral of the same or opposite gender. (25% discount if it’s tame, 50% discount if sexual and includes at least one sex scene)
An anthro character (Male or female) is transformed from a biological entity into a synthetic entity (rubber, latex, etc) (25% if it’s tame, 50% if it’s sexual and includes at least one sex scene.)
Anything involving tentacles (Must be adult. 50% discount)
Commissions with Bondage as the primary theme (Must be adult. 50% discount)
Section 2: Discount conditions
1) Any discount commission is capped at 8,000 words.
2) Discounted commissions have their own slots, and I only open one very rarely.
3) I’m offering these discounts because I want to expand my fan base, hence why no discounts are being offered for AB/DL works. Diapers can be included, but they must not be the focus. For example, a character in an adult bondage situation is kept in a straightjacket and padded cell, and must be kept in diapers is fine, but a sexualized AB story where the bondage is secondary is not. Alright, this is just me addressing the problem of how and when to contact me. I'm trying to standardize and rationalize my schedule, which is currently chaotic in the extreme, and this is going to be a permanent step. (All times in EDT -5:00)

1) Business hours: I will be available to contact about commissions, sprints, or any other business related enterprise between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Tuesday through Sunday (Mondays are my day off). During that time I will be writing, planning, and doing other such work related activities. Please DO NOT contact me looking to chat idly during those hours, as skype is one of my biggest distractions. If you wish to talk business, drop me a note (I will be checking my FA regularly). If what you want to talk about won't work with notes (Brainstorming, etc), I will go invisible on Skype to converse with you as soon as possible. Turnaround for notes will never be longer than one hour during business hours, unless my power has gone out or something like that.

2) Non-business hours. I'm usually awake by 4:00 AM, and usually go to bed by 8:00 PM. If you catch me during those hours, feel free to chat/converse with me as you would normally, though I'll most often be online in the early morning. After business hours I'm normally occupied away from my computer, and I spend my day off out of the house (You know, after a full work week without leaving my bedroom). If you want to talk, note or message me during my non-business hours.

3) Appointments. My business hours are typically quite busy, but I have the luxury that most of my daily tasks are quite fluid, and I can push them forward as far as I want with little consequence. As such, I can make an appointment for business related things at nearly any time in my business hours. If you need to talk to me about commissions, or other business related inquiries, message or note me about making an appointment.

4) Disclaimer. I'm sure this new schedule may come as a shock to some of you, who are used to being able to converse with me without restriction, but I assure you that this isn't about you, it's about me. I'm chronically under-productive, and scheduling of this sort helps me get a framework withing which I can work, otherwise I'm trying to assemble a puzzle inside a vacuum.

Every frigging one of you belongs in them. Don't even try to deny it.

This is something that's been bothering me a lot, lately. Don't worry, nobody's convinced me that I'm not good at this or anything, quite the opposite, really. I've gotten unanimously positive feedback, often very strongly worded. The only detractor I've ever had was more taking aim at my rate of return rather than the quality of my work. The truth is that I've been wondering lately just how good of a writer I really am, and how much I've improved since I first put pen to paper ten months ago. I'm a realist when it comes to these things, and I realize that I can't accurately judge the quality of my own writing in comparison to other writers, especially those in the industry. So here's my question to you: on a scale from 1-100, with 100 being the highest, wherebouts would you place me? Do you think I'm good enough for an actual career in the industry? Hey everyone. I've been around for almost a year now, and my page didn't reflect the drastic changes that I, and my presence in the furry fandom, have gone through over the past ten months. So, naturally, I updated it! The new version is neater, more concise, and gets rid of some of the clutter. I'm open to feedback on it, so, if there's anything you'd like to point out or suggest, feel free to do so.
On a slightly more sour note, I've been feeling god-awful for the past few days, and hurting in ways I didn't think I could. I'll try to get back to writing as soon as I can.

I'm a lazy prick, and I'm not going to deny that. I've never had strong discipline hammered into me, not by my schools, parents, culture, or anything else. As hard as I try, my desire to do things productively simply seems to be beyond my willpower. For example, with my complete concentration, I can easily write over 2,200 words in an hour. But sustaining that rate for even one hour is a struggle. The allure of video games, cartoons, youtube, FA, skype, etc, are all too great for me to overcome for long periods. I hate it, but it's my nature. It's really bad when you procrastinate from writing by cleaning the kitchen or cooking dinner, and I get to that point frequently.
In the past, I've tried all sorts of weird, creative ways to force myself to work and avoid distraction. Everything from locking myself into a closet with my laptop to dietary changes to scheduling. It all failed, and I think I know why. By my nature, I'm a decisive person. I like to sit in neutrality until an overwhelming desire to do something hits me, and then I put all the effort in the world into it until I'm done. In contrast, I've always sucked at consistency, which is central to productivity. I work on whims, not schedules, but I'm going to try and break that, and I'm going to start small. For the next month, I'm going to write 2,000 words per day. No more, no less. Most of it is going to be in commissions, but I'm really not being too picky at this point. Every month that point on I'm going to up the daily quota by 2,000 until I find I reach 10,000 words per day, when I will start taking weekends off.

This is one of those weird quirks about furries that I've noticed as a writer. Why is it that a picture and a story by two different artists might get the same number of views, but the story only gets a fifth as many favorites? I've tried to rationalize this, but no obvious explaination reveals itself. I'd appreciate if people lent me their thoughts, below

(This isn't a complaint, by the way, just a question. I'm legitimately curious why this happens.)

I've been learning to draw, lately, as those of you who keep up with my non-story uploads may know. I'm making steady progress, and I hope to be able to offer content of real quality by the summer. Until then, there's only to keep my head up and grind drawings, as it were. It's occurred to me I might as well make a few dollars to put towards supplies and the like (they're surprisingly expensive oO) since I'm going to be doing the drawings anyway. I'll be opening five request slots and five commission slots. Here's how each works:
A commission would cost 2$ US (add 2$ for a second character). Please have a pose in mind. I'll try my best with any complex poses, but if I can't do it I'll suggest changes.

Requests are free, but I'll be using my own judgment as to whom I pick to draw. Drop your pose/character/idea down in the comments below, and, if I like your character/idea, I'll draw it for free! Here's a few tips to increase your chances:
-Have fetish content. Even if it's just diapers or something, I'm more likely to take it on if I think people are going to view it
-Have shiny things in it. Be it plastic, glass, latex, rubber, metal, etc. I LOVE SHINY THINGS O_O. I don't know what it is, but I guess I'm part magpie or something XD
-Don't be generic. I learn by pushing myself, and asking for a dynamic pose or interesting angle of some kind is going to be much more helpful than just 'character standing in a diaper and looking embarrassed.'
-If I don't like your suggestion, make another one! I'll tell you whatever it is I'm not fond of, and you can feel free to make as many requests as you like (though I won't give more than one slot to a single person for fairness sake)

Nothing official, but I'm basically going to try and upload one piece per day for the rest of the month. It'll be ad-hoc, but my intention is to basically clear my backlog of everything that I owe people by the end of the month. And that means EVERYTHING. Anyway, I've got some further updates on the future of Two Weeks for all you peeps to read ^^
I've decided that I'm only going to do the bare minimum of commissions next month to pay my bills, and spend the rest of my writing time working on this. I have to have the beta of the project completed by June, or else I won't get my free copies from NaNoWriMo. Furthermore, I've also decided that Two Weeks is no longer going to be a single novel, but a pair of novels, with the first covering week one, and the second covering week two. Also, I'm considering abandoning the idea of having the final draft printed as copies of a book this long will likely be prohibitive (Price on the buyer's end would be somewhere around 16-18$). As such, the plan is to simply distribute the book as a file in exchange for a much smaller fee.

Any comments, questions or concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, I've come to realize that the one hour sprints have become a bit more bloated than was originally the intention. Herein I'm going to get back to their roots, and outline the old/new way that they're going to be done:

1) You will provide me with a visual character reference, or a 20 word description per character (2 characters max)

2) You will provide me with five words or fewer that describe what you want

3) You will provide me with five words or fewer that describe anything you explicitly DON'T want to see

4) I will have creative freedom within the bounds of your five keywords

5) I will be doing no research other than to glance at your ref-sheet and gallery/faves

The price for one is 10.60$ USD, to be paid through paypal when you recieve your sprint.
