Hello everyone,

I just wanted to give a quick welcome to anyone who visits here.

Animal yawns have always captivated my imagination, so whenever I have the opportunity to photograph one, I take it. This has resulted in me accumulating quite a few such photos and I wanted to share them here, where I hope others find them enjoyable and entertaining as well.

I am going to be starting with the oldest of my photos first, and working forward. In the early days, I used a manual focus, manual advance, film camera. So, the submissions for these will be scans of printed photos and I will be reducing these to 1024 pixel size, since higher scan resolution will only show the imperfections of the printing and scanning processes.

As I move into the digital camera age, and no longer restricted by printing and scanning limitations, the later submissions will be at the full 1280 pixel submission limit (these submissions are not for people to grab and print out posters of, so I will not be bypassing FA's rules and uploading pictures larger than this size).

I also do not want to flood FA with these RL animal photos, so I will keep the submissions down to just a few per day. Although big cats, such as lions and tigers, are the most frequently seen yawning animals, I will try to vary up my submissions as much as possible, to keep things fun and interesting.
