TF2 Unusual Hat for a $30 Commission Proposal?
Posted 13 years agoI have this hat, but it's an unusual hat. It has smoke particles effect. I'm wondering whether anyone is interested in getting it traded to them for a $30-$35 commission.

Mac OSX Earbuds are useless to me in-game since I'm not a big hat trader, and the hat is useless to me since I rarely play sniper. There is currently not much in the game in terms of items that I would want anyway.
What's being proposed is that you commission an artist and once getting confirmation from me by noting the artist, they can start, as long as I tell them it's still on and the hat has been traded successfully.

I honestly just had this idea now but I think I would like a comission with somebody where we'd have daft punk themed costume, I had this idea of wearing one that was stylized to fit me based on Guy Manuel's helmet. The colours down the side and the hood could be coloured and striped :P

Posted 13 years agoI gave it some thought and yeah, too many complains that mercury does what it does, I'll just go with that it's something very similar to mercury.
Bit of backstory.
Garrus is more than "merged" his entire body is absorbed into a special metal that was designed to be like a personal suit of armour by some alien race somewhere in the galaxy. The suit is symbiotic and connects to the host as like a personal shapeshifting armour.
Not really worked on the backstory of where it came from but it'd be cutting edge, experimental even. It's not fully understood how it works, only that this race knew how to make it :v
So, yay for metallic blue shinyness now :P

From Liquid Latex To Liquid Metal
Posted 13 years agoI'm thinking of changing back to liquid metal, not that I've gone off latex but for a few reasons such as in_character reasons and a sudden trigger of a liking to mercury. Just watching a video of mercury, you can float a cannonball in mercury, it's dense enough to smash glass if you pour it from too high.
Also sounds a bit less fetishist when Im talking on NSFW places heh.
I dunno, I think of it as an upgrade, while latex is cuddly and such, I can still be goopy, your fave non newtonian symbiote :P
Specifically, I think I'd be mercury, but since I'm sentient, I guess that would be my excuse for not giving you mercury poisoning :P

About a fursuit...
Posted 13 years agoI'm in a dilemma. Maybe it's not as hard as it could be or as I think it'd be.
I want a fursuit, no goo effects or anything, just fabric.
I have the following pros and cons.
PROS
- I would feel a bigger part of the community or more out of the closet about it.
- Would give me more reason to attend fur meets.
- More actively take part in community and said fur meets.
- MAY help me move out but I'll get to that in a sec.
- I could maybe keep it at a friend's house locally who is a furry.
CONS
- I have a family who my brother would think I was nuts, mother who'd think I was insane, dad who'd probably lose it and rest of my family would think I was just outright crazy.
- Would be hard to hide in my wardrobe and thing is, almost the whole of the town knows me, small town. I work in the cheapest petrol station for miles so we get a lot of customers who are beginning to think I live in there because of how many days I cover due to low staff.
- The mental stigma of it would be problematic with friends at the same time.
- I want to be a cop, they don't need to know
- Even if I kept it at a friend's house, I'd still be stuck in this backwater town.
- I might be overthinking it to the point that I'm moving for a fursuit.

Anyone interested in a group commission?
Posted 13 years agoMaybe more, maybe less, just been thinking of the last stand zombie pics people get, I'm wondering if anyone wants to maybe get one and we can work out details of setting, people involved, artists etc :V

- $20 or less per char, this is | commission base price + additional character price = price total (then divided by amount of people) |
- Somebody who won't take 2 years to finish it.
- We need ideas, we're getting quite the interest here, L4D doesn't quite fit with more than 4 people hah, but not to say we can't do horror, though it's preferable by some we do something that's not been done to death.
- Ideas, why would there be this many of us with guns and weapons :v

It's kinda looking like sci fi is the best all rounder here that satisfies the most people. Some aren't up for the horror theme with various and fair reasons for not being so.
Sci Fi though - doesn't have to be military exactly, could even be something darker as MaestroKnux has suggested, even a Pitch Black thing going on, just as long as it's sci fi. It doesn't have to be clinical white armour plating and blue LED lit gun scopes and stuff. BUT weapons are an overall theme in this, kinda going for a last stand/hold the line thing.

Snakes in need of a new home!

"Not my boa, but one of purraparru's Boa Constrictors is in need of a home! She lives in a home that has a daycare run out of it. One of the parents complained about ~*Dangerous
Constrictors*~ being on the premises, so the state is demanding she be rid of all her boids by Tuesday. She's willing to send him to you for the cost of shipping, which would be done through shipyourreptiles.com.
The boa is male, sold as 100% Albino in a pair with a 100% het female, but neither came with paperwork so don't bank all your hopes on him proving out. 2 or 3 years old, only a little larger than an adult female ball python. They do grow throughout their lives and he is not at his maximum possible size, so be prepared to have him grow larger. He is a BCI, not a BCC. I do not know if it is het for a particular strain of albino, you would have to ask purraparru. Feeding on frozen thawed, which is a blessing! If you're not aware what the things in this paragraph mean, you're probably not the right home for this kind of snake.
This is a feeding aggressive, moderately large growing constrictor. He also sometimes has a temper, making him tense. 99% of his aggression is food related, and he only tagged someone once. The tagged in question being someone who provoked the snake by poking him in the face when he was giving off clear warning signs, he is a readable snake and experienced handlers would likely have no problem with his edge at all. He needs to go to an EXPERIENCED HOME ONLY with someone who can respect and recognize these moods! They are super easy to deal with if you know what you are doing. I haven't handled the snake myself, but from the sounds of it bin feeding and hook training could very well stop any and all aggression quickly.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR LOCAL LAWS, AS KEEPING THIS SPECIES IS ILLEGAL IN SOME PLACES.

I'm already helping her with a few snakes, but with a pair of burms, an amethystine, a large growing monitor, an iguana, and a boa of my own already in a one room apartment my space is pretty much gone. Battlefield 3 - Massively Underwhelmed. (Rant)
Posted 14 years agoMy install went smoothly, took longer than I'd have liked.
Then I waited 7 hours to download what should be a fucking crime of an update size.
No different from the beta. Problems, left and right. Graphics drivers updated, twice in a row just incase. Lowest settings, yep. Router reset, yep.
EVENTUALLY I manged to get a game on where it didn't crash after 20 seconds into a game and I've A) Just been so pissed off with the problems that I'm just not interested anymore and B) Completely underwhelmed, it's nowhere near as user friendly as Bad Company 2, don't care if you didn't like that it was goofy, it could have been set in Aladdin's fucking bedroom for all I care, they got the User Interface right on that game.
The networking I think is just crap, there's a reason most online games have used the networking system and all the wonders it works for the past few years.
I feel like I have wasted £25 and will probably save up for the air rifle I wanted instead of PC parts to run this and future games better.

Posted 14 years agoI do not need any furry stuff at all said if you join a party or if you message me or anything - at the moment it's not just me who uses my xbox account.
So I don't need people coming in asking about goo and stuff. Not unless I've confirmed to you that it's myself on the other end and stuff.
I'll hopefully be on space marine all day on xbox unless the bank is broken into or something which will mean I can't get it.

Very heavily considering joining the Royal Navy

What's it like for internet use and getting onto FA for example? Do you all use a large shower room with other people at the same time? Heh, had to ask that.
(Long story short)
But mostly it's because at home the family's pretty much falling apart in terms of immediate family, and I just can't make enough money no matter how hard I try because one parent who lives elsewhere who usually sends us money isn't doing so and economically, socially, everything has just fell into disrepair with debts and money problems.
(The long story.)
I think if I went into the navy I could see a future for myself there, at least until jobs return to semi-normal in the UK and there's no "We are not recruiting for the foreseeable future and are unable to give an approximate date at which recruitment will start" in places I want to go into. I look at a family friend's history, that he printed for me, his entire rank from lowest rank, nothing, to his way to Military Relations Ambassador between UK and the country he came from. If he can do that because he saw a future for himself then Im sure I can try that too.
My problem with any of this though is the length of time I'll not be at home to help advise, read out and generally help with things physically as immediate family members' health are all decline in the sense of irritating medical problems but nothing fatal unless left a long time untreated.
The house is already in a state of disrepair because we don't know what to do and have no money to fix it otherwise.
Also the emotional side of pets and family, friends and home in general. I'm more worried about how they'd feel - its how I view death, Im not afraid of it but I am afraid of the impact it would have if would happen. Im not expecting that to happen any time soon but leaving everyone behind has gotta be hard on them.
I don't know, today the car was scrapped/written off/FUBAR to kingdom come. That is going to probably end up being paid for by me, like everything else in this house will be. The problem is not having enough for myself or for food in general, any luxuries other than what I have now. I would be fine paying for it all if I could actually know I could retire one day without being below the poverty line which is whats happening at this rate.
But yeah I mean, Navy = skills, friends, friends for life, respect, money, stable future, good food, good health, prospects for work back on land? Now it's just the above I need to resolve or not let hold me back.
