Well, I've decided to move my account to get away from the reputation and stigma this one gained. I'm not gonna say where I'm moving to but observant minions will know when they see it. I'm not taking anything down (unless I think it needs to be) but I'll probably move things to scraps. My fingers are almost completely healed, only need to wrap one up, because I just had the stitches removed. Apparently it's healing well, but it's not the prittiest...bugs my OCD...

So yeah, I think it's finally over now...

For those of you still following, I underwent my second surgery today. They split my fingers aparts and thety're now in soft banages. After seeing my more-healed hand, it seems I lost less of my finger than I thought. So far, I'm healing a bit better than the doc expected. Almost done with this mess...

On a similar note, my dad got a new car, another Santa Fe. Green this time...damn comfy too.

Well, we found out today why my dad passed out behind the wheel. It was a combination of not eating, and staying in a sitting position for an extended period. This causes his blood pressure to drop significantly, down to less than half the normal level. He DOES have a few minutes warning before it happens, which now that we know the cause, should be prevented.

It's amazing how things aligned like that...

 khazal is back to normal, his stitches have been removed.

My dad is a medical enigma. The doctors can't find anything that caused him to pass out. No low/high blood sugar, no heart glitches, no stroke or anything. He's still under doc's orders to not drive though.

The insurance company is paying us enough cash to: replace everything lost, which thankfully wasn't much, medical expenses, and blue-book value for my dad's car, as well as a rental car until we get a new one. We all have new glasses now.

And now for me...
Almost all of the cuts are healed, I only have one functioning hand atm though. My right hand is restrained and bandaged up from step 1 of the surgery, and will be for like, 2 more weeks. I can't do too much without assistance, but I'm working on it. I've already gained a massive appreciation for those missing hands, since I essentially do for now.
My finger still hurts like a bitch, but that's why I've got vicadin...right?

They hurt.

My dad,  khazal and I were on our way home from a WWII reenactment, when, about an hour from home, my dad said he was starting to feel sick, and was going to pull off at the next exit. He missed the exit and blacked out behind the wheel. The car veered into the median, and promptly into oncoming traffic. I grabbed the wheel to get us out of the way of traffic, Khaz said we would have been Semi food if I hadn't. We then rolled over in the median and finally stopped. Two people say we rolled 3-4 times. Dad wopke back up anmd we all got out fine. One of your rescuers was a nurse's assistant. she had us all lay down and started treating me for shock.

After the ambulances arrived, we were taken to the hospital. Khaz has 4 stitches to his head and a scrape, dad has some bruises, and a lot of medical tests coming his way. I got the worst. shitloads of cuts and scrapes, and I'm missing 1/2 the tip of my right index finger, my throat is irritated and swollen after the breathing tube during surgery. The car is totalled. Fortunately, we're okay, as is most of our WWII stuff. My parent's vacation is fucked now, though...

PS. Seatbelts saved us. WEAR THE DAMN THINGS

It's a curiosity of mine, really. I don't have a livestream or whatever yet, but enough feedback from this and I might.

It's about that time of year again, I have to clean and oil up all 17 firearms in my house, of which all but 2 are WWII vintage, or older. This isn't going to be the syandard cleaning though, it'll be the "break it down to little bitty pieces" kind. I'm curious if anyone would wanna watch such a thing. There are a few exotic rifles I'll be cleaning, like a french MAS36 and an argentine mauser. I plan to do it sometime this weekend, probably being a 2-day event, if this wekend's reenactment is called off due to still being sore from LAST weekend's...well, vet's day parade. If it's not this weekend, it might be the next, which would also allow me some time to get a few extra supplies for the semi-autos that I kinda lack every tool for...

I've been trolling the internet looking for any way to track down an old Japan-only model kit for a plane from the Ace Combat series. So far I've run into nothing but everyone else asking the same question. I normally don't do thins, but I'd like some help in finding the thing. I don;t post to forums since that doesn't turn up anything, So, any help finding a Hasegawa model kit of the X-02 Wyvern would be appreciated.

A little while ago I started remembering just how STUPID I was when I first joined the fandom. I had no idea how things worked, I didn't think of other's feelings or thoughts on what I was doing, I literally thought that as soon as I showed up EVERYONE would know exactly who I was and do anything I wanted...yep, I was that stupid.

It took years to get out opf that mentality, and I said a lot of stupid things in that time that I hope not to remember. I really wish that I wasn't so stupid back then. Some things would be a lot easier now. I'd really like to not go into detail about too many tales, but most have the same context...stupid me only thinking of me.

Well...I think that's enough for now, excuse me while I shove a bottle of bleach into my brain to forget it all again.

Losing my dog at the beginning of the month was bad...well, here we are, 2 days after christmas, and this time I lose my grandma. Yeah, it's been coming, she smoked like crazy until getting cancer, she outlived the doctor's estimates by 6 months, but then she just sharply went downhill...this kind of change can only be made with a brain ailment, and if you know your biology, lung cancer spreads to the brain occasionally...so yeah, I lot two close family members in under a month...

I really didn't want to put a journal about this out so soon, but my dog had to have surgery last night. She had stones, which were supposed to be removed in a week, but last night, or morning, or whenever, one got stuck and she couldn't do her thing anymore. Well, at about 9 pm, we took het to the ER to have her looked out, as she hadn't eaten in a day, nor urinated. She had also been throwing up a lot, so we were worried.
They took some xrays and, between then and taking her to the OR, her bladder tore. They did remove the stones and get her stitched up, but this morning we found out her blood pressure wasn't going up, and her insides were still bleeding. We did get an update at about 4 pm today, which sounded good. Her blood pressure started going up, she stopped bleeding...well, they called again an hour later with another update. They did some tests and they think her kidneys may be failing. They gave her some medication to try to start them back up again, but we'll have a very difficult choice in about 3 hours. If her kidneys aren't working by then, we may have to put her down...
It's a big deal for me because I've had her for 8 years, and she's ALWAYS been there if I was sad, scared, anything. I'd hate to have to put her to sleep for this, because I love her too much. I'd much rather see her go from age, instead of this. I do love her enough to say I'd rather die then have to let her go. I only hope things improve in the next couple hours...

At 8:15, we got a call from the vet. Her bladder didn't hold, so we had to do it. The one thing I never wanted to do...put my dog to sleep...I've never cried so much in my life...

They may be rather prim heavy, the largest so far being 893, and fairly useless at this point in time, they're incredibly detailed, most who have seen me working in the sandbox have told me. if you need to see the models then either pm me over SL, or ask for me to post pictures. The only model I have a price for, which it has been requested for several times while it was still "in the shipyard" as the case were, for L500.

I can't believe this, but just tonight, I found out that our band has been chosen to represent the USA in the pre-olympic celebration in freaking BEJING, CHINA!
We're going to dine with ambassadors, perform at the great wall, and have police escorts everywhere we go! It's so fucking exciting!

Yes, in our latest competition, we took every single award...but wait til you hear the scores! The second place band had a score of 101.5 and we had, drumroll please, a score of 141.5! TAKE THAT!

Today, the band managed to kick all the other band's asses, royally...

Our score was 73.8
The second highest score was only 71.5

We got fist place in our division, and came in as the Grand champions overall...
