Posted 12 years agoBought a sketch pad today. Haven't drawn in 17 years, but I used to be pretty decent at it.
Odd that it's a little intimidating to me these days considering that when i was a kid, I used to spend days and days laying on the floor and drawing in my sketch pad.
I remember in my final year in elementary school, my art teacher actually featured a lot of my Transformers artwork in one of the hallways at school.
That was a long time ago.

Small Update
Posted 12 years agoSorry nothing's been posted for a while folks. I fully intended to have the latest rewrite of chapter 1 up like 2 weeks ago, but I've got a pretty heavy workload at my job right now and it's occupying all of my time.(at least I'm getting some decent overtime)
Things will be slow for me until Oct 25th.

Posted 12 years agoThanks everyone for watching - I wish I had more content to share and I hope to have more soon.
My job keeps me REALLY busy and is a bit of an obstacle from what I really enjoy doing (writing fiction).
I'd like to offer a free story to a random watcher to celebrate, but I couldn't promise to have it any time soon beyond my job and my own writing.
Would anyone be interested in a personalized short story of one of your characters in my world? - In this world Dragons and Dinosaurs are the dominant evolved life form; sadly for furry enthusiasts, non-Saurians have not evolved much beyond where they are on planet Earth (save humans - there are no humans to speak of in my little realm.)
Although I suppose your furry persona COULD somehow visit the world through some sort of inter-dimensional mcguffin! :D
Just throwing it out there, so hopefully when I hit 100 watchers, I will be able to offer a nice thank you gift to one or a couple of you!
All in all, thanks a lot for checking my stuff out and I hope you continue checking out my content as it comes!

I have considered creating a new account here at FA under the name Bossasaur, being as that allows me to have a little more freeplay with my avatars and scalie identity a little, but I think my Rex account has a good amount of momentum and I'd hate to loose that.
Anyhow, if you wanna hook up at sofurry.com - I will be updating that page as I update here.
I will likely be expanding to more furry/scifi creative places as well, but because I have rather limited time at the moment, I won't be starting up anything new for a while, I gotta see how maintaining two pages goes before I checkout inkbunny and the like.

Posted 12 years agoFor those waiting on chapter 2 - I received exceptionally helpful constructive criticism from 
Lurdanjo on my work on chapter 1 and it has basically caused me to start that over from scratch ... for the 5th time.
This is not a frustrating thing for me. I find critiques immensely helpful, especially because the story I am working on has been something that's been in my hea since I was 12 years old!
What that means is Stiletto has been alive in my head longer than most of you have been on this planet! HAHAHA. :)
The character is very close to my heart and I want to do him justice and, hopefully, get his story published someday.
The revised chapter 1 is coming along extremely well and this is the first time I've actually been really happy with it, so look forward to that in the coming days (probably Sunday) and I'll look forward to your feedback!

Posted 12 years agoThis comes around every couple months as something new. Now they are threatening fan-made works like many of the works done here (Fan-art and fan-fiction) as well as online role play communities that allow folks like me to play big cranky T-rexes from outer space.
