Big stuff is REALLY coming....
Posted 3 weeks agoAlright. In my last journal I mentioned that I'm working on a big project, that's an evolution of Friday Flats and and new shading style.
So here's an update:
I am currently seventeen images in, with four fully shaded and twelve currently in the flat stage. The plan is to have around thirty images ready for a full month of posting. There will be some old school soft-shading stuff in there too. You can look forward to seeing at least 4 - 5 image sets all having some kind of progression to them, much like a photo shoot. And with that little bit of info, I set up the next reveal. Almost all of these images will all be under the 'Life in Dark Pink' logo. Unfamiliar with the name? Here's a little back story:
Life in Pink (Check out my sub gallery under the same name) is a collection of my main characters, all working under Selenica Rae and Natalya Ruskiri at the Life in Pink Photographic Studio & Modeling Agency. 'Life in Dark Pink' is the now official name for the Adult side of the studio, headed up by Valerie Warren. I wanted their work to have a bit more of a real feel to it, so setting the logo on the images that are meant to look like they are from their own magazine or online publications just adds a little to that feel and gives a window into that universe. You can expect to see several on my characters as well as some of those of
EXile1A who has helped me build the Life in Pink universe through characters and stories over on SoFurry (which should be back soon).
I'm really trying to crank these out quickly, and I'd love to be ready to go in either September or October, but life being life does like to get in the way some times.
Keep an eye out, there may be some teases as I get closer to posting. :)

Something BIG is coming....

I know I've quiet for a while, but trust me, there's good reason.
First off, I have moved and am now in the northern reaches of the USA.
Second, I'm currently unemployed, but I'm lapping up the time with my little one and just loving being Dad at the moment.
Third, I'm working on a large project at the moment. If you enjoyed the Friday Flats stuff from a few years ago, this is kind of an evolution of that. I've been using my core flat colour techniques, but I wanted to try something a little different when it came to shading. Suffice to say it is everything I hoped for, and right now I'm closing in on about 2/5 of the project being complete. In my off time right now, this has kinda kept me sane while looking for actual work. If all goes well I will have a full month of posting at least one finished piece per day!
Keep your eyes open, I'll be posting more closer to the time.

Somewhere new. I'm in the middle of a house move across several states, so might not be posting much over the next week or so, but I have had a lot of time to thing on new art pieces and stories that I've been working on, and there are a bunch I want to get out soon.
For those curious, I have been looking back at Cabin Break, The Renegade, and several unreleased stories. For art, I still have the Life in Pink model sheets I want to finish before moving on to newer pieces.
If you have questions or suggestions, let me know in the comments and I'll get back to you when I have access to the interwebz.

I'm hoping to get a christmas image done for this year but I might not have the time. Still I'm going to try. However I am also looking at getting an image done for New Year 2025 as well. So I have a qustion for you.

First to 200!
Posted 9 months agoHonestly, wasn't sure this day would ever come, but lo and behold it has!
Of course I'm referring to the first of my characters to reach that mighty mile stone of 200 fav's.
While I have had an image hit the 200 favs before, an image of
EvilArt's Dawn Wheeler for my Friday Flats project, and with that in mind I was kind of amused that my character is in a similar vein to Dawn.
It is of course, Leona Pryde, my seven and a half foot tall liger girl. She does share a few traits with Dawn, in that she's tall, busty, buff, and blond. I guess there is a type there.
Honestly, I thought this honor might have gone to one of the anniversary pieces for Fiona Black, or even the Friday Flats MILF-vember pic of Sharon Cullen, but alas, Leona in the leather DaphneDress has secured her place.

The Mighty Watchlist Purge of 2024!

So after some major life changes in the last few months, I've decided to tidy things up a bit, mostly my watch lists.
I started this three days ago and have been to EVERY account on my watch list. After unwatching nearly 1000 accounts, I've had a wonderful thing happen in my submissions folder. It's no longer crammed full of YCH images. I understand people's need to work and earn, but the YCH spam was getting to be too much in my submissions inbox. What also happened was I started seeing a bunch of artwork from long time favorite artists that I've not seen in a while that has got me a little inspired again.
So If like me, you've been on FA for over 15 years and have an excessive amount of accounts on your watch list, take the time and clean it up. Of the almost 1000 accounts I was watching, nearly 600 were either deactivated, or dead/moved (usually with a dead follow up account). This was just the first round of the clean up and I'll be taking a closer look on my next pass so that my Submission inbox doesn't hit some 1500 - 3000 addition in a day again, because I just don't have time to see everything or respond the way I want to.
Honestly it's been great for my mental health and I hope doing something similar will help you out too. Just remember, you have your favorites, and you're not obliged to keep going if your tastes have changes, your inspirations have moved on, our you just don't gel with things anymore. We're people, we grow and change, and that's what keeps things interesting.
Wishing you all well, and hoping you relieve some stress if you join me in the watch list clean up.

Sara Kincaide - New Queen of the Gallery!
Posted a year agoIt's been a busy few weeks for me. Not only do I have real world stuff to do at home and for work, but I have had just enough time each night (and some times during the day) to crank out a bunch of sketches. As a result, I have revealed my newest character for the 'Life in Pink' team, Sara Kincaide.
I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I posted the first sketches of her. Suffice to say she was INCREDIBLY well received by the community, and while her gallery only has 24 images (more than some of my other characters mind you), half of her images have already crossed the 100 favorites mark. For that, I am incredibly grateful and exceptionally happy that you guys liked this character so much. This I think also makes her the most heavily favorited character in my gallery.
I have more plans for Sara in the not too distant future, but I want to avoid burn out so I'm taking a step back for a little bit to recharge the creativity batteries. That being said, I'm putting together some additional sketches for another character who is due for a gallery boost.
One of the things I'm happiest about with this project, was switching into digital pencil sketching. Pencil work has always been my favorite type of of media to experiment and play with, so using the tools in Clip Studio and finding them very easy and familiar to use just made the time spent on these pieces really efficient. Most of the digital pencil pieces were completed in 2 - 4 hours, and for a detailed pencil sketch, that's time well spent in my book.
I'm really looking forward to diving into Sara's character a bit more, and I do have the outlines for a story for her which you might have picked up on in some of the image descriptions. She's got some complexity to her, a very strong work/life separation, and a lot of different styles she drifts between. Sara's going to be a fun one, and being a combination of several style elements that I like and borrowing some of her physical appearance from an existing character of mine, she's certainly a 'stand out in a crowd' type of lady.
Again, thank you all so much for showing your support for my work and this character. I'll have more in the future. Until then, stay safe, look after yourself, and thanks so much for the support.

Valentine's Day Images

Quick update here. Around midnight I'll be posting the first set of my Valentine's images, no spoilers as to who is in it. A few hours later, the alternative colour versions will be posted. So if you're looking for a fun Valentine's Day pin-up, swing around midnight to see who's going to be taking center stage.
In other news, sadly the art challenge of Willow did not go ahead as I hoped, but I have a lot of prep work done for her in the future. There will be something else with Willow VERY soon though, so if you're a meme clothing fan, it was a fun idea that was kicking around my head and I'd love to see what you guys do with it.

Quite simply, the amount of favs she's racked up in just a handful of days, out stripped many of the Friday Flats pieces. So, I can only assume that you guys like this character. Something I'm incredibly happy about. And its left me a little inspired, and wanting to know a little more.
So, I'm going to put the question to you and then ask for something, and then depending on the response, I'll be doing a good bit of work on Willow to flesh her character out in the near future.

Happy New Year 2024!

Well, we've crashed into 2024 like there's no stopping us. So, time to use some of that momentum.
First up, thank you to everyone who supported me through the Friday Flats project, the last few winners are still being shaded, but I hope to have them done soon. Friday Flats will return in the future, but I have a lot to take care of and need to realign some of my priorities.
So, what's happening?
Well, this year I need to clear a few commissions off of my plate, and then while I do intend to keep the art train moving, this year I want to focus more on writing again. I've got too many unfinished stories on SoFurry that I need to take care of and get into a better place. Not only that, I have a monumental pile of stories that I've started but not finished. One is a four parter that just needs the last chapter to be finished.
My main pushes for writing this year are:
* Proof reading for EXile1A for his Legal Tension and Suburban Streets stories.
* Proof reading for
Sesquin for his break away story that ties into my Life in Pink story.
* Finish Chapters 2 & 3 of 'The Renegade'.
* Finish the last chapter of the 4 part story I started in 2022 - The Lakehouse.
* Complete 10 chapters for 'The Other Side of the Neighborhood' - My side of EXile1A's Suburban Streets story that takes place in the same suburb and ties our worlds/story lines together
* Finish 10 chapters of a long standing project - Guess which.
For Art, my drive is:
* Finish outstanding commissions.
* Finish shading the Friday Flats Winners.
* Model Sheets for at least 4 of my characters.
* Get back to pencil sketching (I've missed it recently).
* at least 3 seasonal pieces (Valentine's, Halloween, Christmas).
So, I'm going to be busy.
Not sure if I will be taking additional commissions this year (outside of prearranged ones), but I think I have plenty to keep me busy. I'm expecting a major life change later this year, so all my plans might be scrapped and need to be re-worked, but that's just life.
I hope you all had a very happy new year, and are looking forward to what 2024 brings. Hopefully the world settles down a bit and we can all be civil again. Here's to you guys and all your support!

Just passed 2500 Watchers!

So, 2500 watchers... Wow.... Just, wow. Honestly I'm happy even one of you out there liked my work from all those years ago, and now having this many people watch my page. One word...
Humbled.
Alright, with this being such a milestone I think I need to do something for this, but I'm undecided at the moment so I'm going to throw a few ideas out there, and feel free to add any suggestions or throw support behind one of mine in the comments. Here are my ideas:
1 - Selenica & Natalya - Puma Twins cosplay (Dominion: Tank Police)
2 - SCP 1471: Mal0 - Watching you.... And being sexy....
3 - Fiona - 2500 Watchers celebration classic

Friday Flats 2022 - 2023: The Results!
Posted 2 years agoHere we stand a little over one year after I started the Friday Flats project, and now we reach a conclusion for the year.
Honestly I wondered what would happen when I started this month, but with one character, the month was won before anything else had even happened. The winner for June/July is....

It was a hell of a month with some really strong performances from several characters, but in the end there con only be one winner. Dawn marks the winning conclusion of a full year of art, but that's not all. Dawn's pic in the Personal Favorites category did a number of things, listed here:
1 - Fastest image to hit 100 favs
2 - Fastest image set to hit 200 favs collectively
3 - Highest favs of any image set for Friday Flats, at the 1 week count (290)
4 - Highest favs of any image set for Friday Flats, after the project completed (333 as of 14th July 2023)
EvilArt also claims the most winners of other artists or creators chosen for the project with, Anita, Gunbunny, and Dawn.
So there it is. It's been a hell of a ride and loads of fun doing all of this. I will consider doing this again in the future, but some big life changes are on the horizon and I need to be ready for that. In the meantime, enjoy the series of images, I'll be shading all of the winner (and making some improvements to some) in the near future. Aside from that, I need a break to take care of some other projects.

So things might be a little off, and there is a possibility that there might not be a post next week, if so that is down to IRL work and it can't be helped.
It's been a fun ride, I have loads more themes in mind for Friday Flats, but after this one, I'm taking a much needed break. The extra work has been fun, but I have other pressing things to take care of. Health and family are coming first in this case. Don't worry, I won't be gone, and you'll see more shaded work in the not too distant future as I catch up with commissions and get the Friday Flats winners shaded.

Friday Flats - June

Wow, Friday flats has been an incredible personal push for me to do more, and holy crap, I did more...
So far (as of 19/5/23):
A total of 186 images breaking down to:
82 core images
1 image with 8 versions (Cheyanne)
4 compilation images (Dee & Sandra, and Fiona, Heather & Sharon)
3 images with 4 versions (Fiona, Sarah, and Mae)
4 images with 3 versions (Leona, Heather, Selenica, and Natalya)
68 images with 2 versions
AND THERE STILL MORE TO COME!!!
Yup, there's one more week of the "Tentacles" theme to go, so get ready for the last two images of that theme next Friday. It's been a ton of work, but it's been really good fun along the way. At the beginning I had all the themes mapped out and was really happy to go on that way, but available time and change of heart started taking a hold of me after December 2022, so there were some massive changes from the original themes and some even got combined, albeit subtly.
However, next month brings us full circle! And as there was the fire of creation at the start of this project, there will be burn out at the end. :-P After June I will be taking a break. I'm not sure for how long, but long enough to sort out some health issues a chance to repair my sleep schedule. I'll also be catching up on some overdue commissions, so you'll be seeing more shaded work in the not too distant future.
However, that does leave one more thing... What is next months theme?
Well I had to wrap it up with something I felt strongly about, and what better way than with:
"Personal Favorites"
There are some rules to this one:
1 - I must have known of the character for at least five years.
2 - There will be one image of a character per artist or creator selected (but the usual 2 versions).
3 - I can only select one of my own characters.
4 - BONUS IMAGE - There will be one bonus image that will break rule 2. This will be the last image revealed.
Who do you think will show up?
So there it is, a full year of Friday Flats laid out (and a very tired Ghostwolf), is it going away for good? No, not likely, but with up coming life changes it's not likely to be so frequent either. Chances are I'll have longer to prepare and will probably only do 4 - 8 images maximum in a month, and maybe do two versions of each as I have done for most so far. I have plenty of themes I want to explore still, and was given plenty of ideas along the way as well as having a few I'd like to revisit some time, but that's in the future.
That being said, I'm going to try to get all of the winners of "Friday Flats: 2022 - 2023" shaded and posted over the Christmas season this year, but no promises. When they're all done, they'll be posted in batches over the course of a month.

Friday Flats - January & February Winners!

January was "Fantasy Femmes" month and you guys came out in force with those favs for Savanagh. Of all the Friday Flats so far, she hit straight into the top three for votes in spite of only previously having a single sketch done of her. (really.... I can't think why... really....)

Friday Flats - More on the way and it's surprises.

Friday Flats "Fantasy Femmes" theme will be continuing this week, but I wanted to take a minute to talk about what's gone on so far.
So, I started Friday Flats as a project to keep me drawing and to help fill out my gallery a little more especially for characters I haven't done much with in the past. All I can say is you guys have made it more of a success than I ever imagined it would be, you've also blind sided me with who/what is popular at any given moment.

The Strippers theme I figured would be down to Eve (who won), Violette Belle, or Candy Berry. So no real surprise there.
The Power Girls theme did catch me out. I honestly thought it would be either Adeola or Elnora with the possibility of Selenica taking the top slot, but it was a very welcome win for Trinity.
Sci-Fi Sirens was another where I just had to test the waters. Apparently you guys LOVE wolverines, because every time Mae has shown up in spite of me doing so little with her in the past, she always makes a strong show, so when she won this particular theme, I did get something of a confirmation of want for more of the character.
Aqua Time was the first real surprise. I honestly thought Stiletto or Astrid would take this one, but the raw cuteness of Penelope won you over.
MILF-vember, Holy crap... This one was an actual battle! Truth be told, I though Sharon, Sara or Beth would win hands down. But against all odds, that first week' favs on Anita secured her spot as the number 1 MILF this time around.
While the XXX-mas one was always going to be a trio win, I'm honestly surprised at the individual results. Sharon who normally places highly when she shows up, was the bottom of the pack and Fiona is the one who came out on top.
Now, I know there's only been one post for Fantasy Femme's so far, but Savanagh is killing it! Whether you guys just love big titty lioness' or you like the style of the character is all up to you, but for a character who has only had 2 images, I find it truly fascinating to see where the favs land.
What are your thoughts about Friday Flats? Do you like the themes? are there certain characters you might want to see more of? do you have your own theme suggestions? do you like the style? why do you like who you like?

The results will be posted tonight around midnight, but I think it's a pretty clear case for the winner. just to be sure I included the favs from SoFurry as well, because quite frankly, there were so many this time around, that I felt I had to. So keep an eye out for those results around midnight.
The December theme is of course going to be "XXX-mas". And is going to be a little different. It's going to be a shorter run of characters, but all from one setting, with something special at the end.
However, I also have a question:
Which of my female characters would you like to see for Christmas? Check out my gallery and post your answer in the comments. I'll keep it open for a week to get some results.
Hope you've all had a great year so far (feels like we should still be in March in my opinion) and I'm glad you've all enjoyed Friday Flats, there is LOTS more to come!

First, Happy Turkey Day if you are celebrating.
Now, a heads up. In the first image of this months Friday Flats theme I mentioned that I didn't get as much done as I first intended. That was true, until this week.... I've managed to finish not 1, but 5 images since Sunday night, bringing this weeks total to 7! if you include the variants that means there's going to be 14 images this week!
I'll be starting the upload at around 12am on Friday morning (CST), so get ready for a VERY HEAVY finsh for MILFvember!
Now, there were still some images I just couldn't get to, one in particular was a new character that will just have to wait for now, but I think she'll be appreciated a little more when I do reveal her. Suffice to say, the topic of MILF's will come around again, but for now 10 images (20 including variants) for the month will have to do.
Enjoy the images and please post comments on them, it's nice to read thoughts or ideas from you guys.
