Answering a few quetions
General | Posted 4 years agoI've received many PMs over the past few years about my return to the Fursuit Maker's ring. I don't have any immediate plans to do so, however, I have been feeling awfully nostalgic about my time as a maker. I miss the creative energy and working from home, the cute characters, and the gratification of seeing one of my costumes come together. On the other hand, there are as equally many things I don't miss. I think a lot of the things I don't miss about being a fursuit maker was due to my inexperience as an adult and as a business owner. I would do a lot differently now after working in the jewelry and construction industries.
I bit off way more than I could chew and in turn, I destroyed my mental, physical, and emotional health at the expense of these costumes. I made promises I could barely keep up with, I destroyed good friendships in the process, and it was solely due to my naivety and immaturity. I see the error in my ways and for those I hurt, I feel nothing but remorse and I want to do what I can, if I can, to make things right. I ended up getting involved with people I shouldn't have by the time I closed my doors. I walked into an abusive relationship, I was demonized for my interests and it still has a lasting effect on me to this very day. I had to hide and lie about all my equipment and materials, and then when my abuser passed away, I couldn't even stand to look at it. I ran from myself, I gave everything to a near and dear friend of mine. A year and a half after the incident, here I am writing this journal to share a little bit of my story. Although, I made a myriad of mistakes, I realize where exactly I went wrong and I refuse to hide anymore, even from myself. I love this craft and this fandom, and I hope that one day, I will decide to make custom suits again. I do plan on offering digital art commissions in the future though, I just need to order a new power cord for my tablet since it was lost amongst the chaos.
Despite the trials, I have been productive in learning new skill sets, making new connections, and experiencing different sides of life. I have a home, a family, and all of my wildest dreams have come true. My new partner and I are building a new art studio! With our shared background in jewelry making, his experience in over a decade of owning a business, we will be embarking on a collaborative jewelry business. We have discussed plans for a sewing studio for myself as well since I have been making cosplays in my free-time. So, who knows where the future may lead, I just know that it will be full of health and prosperity.
I hope to make new connections with you all, I'll see you out there.
Happy suiting!

TL;DR -- I can't wait to meet you at AC2016!
Ghostwood Creatures Photoshoot
For the past few months, I have been trying to put together a scheduled photoshoot for Anthrocon, in the con book and everything. Unfortunately, I have been unable to do so. Instead of being put in the con book, I will be making an "unofficial" photoshoot for all of my previous customers, fursuiter or not! A few individuals whom I've discussed this with want to bring a few snacks for the Ghost family to have a picnic together! Well, to make things a little more official - Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 after the fursuit parade we will be meeting on the roof to enjoy a sunny day in Pittsburgh together. All fursuiters are encouraged to attend to get an updated group photo, this will be featured on my website !
Con Ettiquette
I've been going to conventions since 2011, I would love to share with you some tips and tricks I've learned over the years. Please do not forget to clean your fursuit before the con, and while you're there pleeease get some sleep, don't forget to bathe, and eat atleast three times a day! Fursuiting at large conventions can be very taxing on the body, and you can get hurt if you're not careful! Drinking tons of water can help you keep marathon suiting. I fursuit up ot 8 hours at a time, and the headless lounge is my best friend, from my previous experiences, Anthrocon is a very good con to its fursuiters, they have water tanks in each of the hallways for your convienence, but keeping a water bottle on hand is the best idea. Keep a bag with a water bottle, some healthy snacks to keep your blood sugar from dropping drastically, and your wallet/contact on you at all times. Conventions are pretty unpredicable beasts, and you don't want anything giving you a good sneak attack! It's always better to overprepare, in case of an emergency.
For those who have employed me in the past, you know I'm a rather friendly person online - I am the same but a little more shy in person! Please feel free to say hello, and interact with me while I am in suit! I ask that you please ask me before you hug me, again, I'm just more shy and quiet and like a little bit of notice before I am glomped. I've taken out people behind me from others who became a little too excited to see a fursuit, I would really like to not repeat a similar scenario. I'm also a very small person (5'4" , barely 100lbs) so big hugs could really hurt me! I cannot wait to meet all of those who are apart of the family, and future members! You can talk to me about literally anything, it's incredibly hard to offend me, so crude jokes are O.K. I just want to hangout and laugh :)
Final Comments
I'm currently finishing up one of two bodysuits that will be worn at Anthrocon. I'll be posting them as soon as I possibly can so you can spot my fiance and I out. For those who follow my patreon, you already know what to look for~ Play it safe guys, and Happy Suiting!!

Wickerbeast Hybrid Fursuit Ladder Auction! [CLOSED]

Potential Dropcrotch Fullsuit Auction
So the lovely daemon_lady and I were talking and ideas were thrown here and there...
and we came to the conclusion that we should put together a collaborative fursuit! I fell in love with her most recent WB design and we really hope to see him come to life. I hope you do as well!
Check out his design in this link here.
I ultimately want to make him a fullsuit, but that depends on what happens in the auction.
There is a payment plan option, but I would prefer the buyer be qualified for PayPal Credit and have that set up.
If you have a friend who may be interested in this lovely bean, please share this journal with them, or the link below for the FurBuy auction link.
Thank you for checking this out!!

Dear fans..
General | Posted 10 years agoI must say this past year has been my most productive one yet. After making costumes for 5years and suits for roughly 3, I have never produced so much in previous years as I have in 2015 thus far. This month of August will mark my 3rd year in making suits and I am honored to say I have such a magnificent fanbase. If it wasn't for you guys, I would've thrown in the towel the first year in taking commissions.
I have struggled with my living situation since September of 2014, but even through moving time and time again. /sigh
I have been able to conquer so much since then.
I am in a much more stable location and I will be making one more moving trip into an apartment of my own in the upcoming months. That is not only good news for me, but for all of you ~ I will be able to provide better services and an even faster turnaround time for my goods. I will be able to be a vendor at conventions where I can get on a more personal and sociable level with you all where I will provide discounts and deals only held at my table. I can offer even more goods in my upcoming webstore as well! I am so excited for all of these new opportunities!!
I have so much appreciation and respect for every one of you reading this because of your support and patience through my hectic real life situation. I couldn't have done it without you, and I cannot thankyou all enough.
