Rocking Slowly
Posted 2 years agoI haven't written one of these in a while but let's cut to the chase. Over the years I like to pause and look back at things, ask questions and try to push life in a different direction. What I've noticed is that over the decades, or centuries, the more things change on the outside the more it remains the same. Forwards to the same place, as always.
I'll try to make more good changes for me. A man will be a King in his castle and through that so will his sons and daughters.

Happy New Year!
Posted 2 years agoFirstly! I wish you and yours all the best for the New Year coming! Set goals that aren't on Mars so that you can atleast reach them. Take care of, greet and speak to those that you love. Try not to get caught up too much in the things that don't really matter.
Waste not, want not. The same goes for the way that you treat your body.
Take care everyone! In everything that's happening around you, don't forget to have fun!
This year I'll try to be more active than I usually am and to mingle more. I'm quite the introvert myself so do bare with my.. over thinking nature.
To all the artists that I've commissioned and lovely people that I'm still talking to and interacted with over the year; Thanks for a simply lovely 2022!
Here's to 2023!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Posted 2 years agoI'm not one to particularly make much fanfare about the holidays however for this season I feel very happy to experience it. Despite spending a lot of time in the kitchen this morning cooking for the family, it's been wonderful day. Some bad news, some good news, it's a mix of a day but despite that I'm still feeling optimistically great about it so far.
I'm rambling but I want to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, to you and yours. May all the seeds that you plant land in fertile ground, flourish and blossom to greatness. Above all, take care of yourselves my friends~
To those who have made the year fun, thank you all!

AI and yourProfession(Job)
Posted 2 years agoOver the past few months I've been inundated with videos on YouTube, scrolling through Journal entry after entry about concerns over AI, AI stealing art without an artist's consent or other users feeding an artist's work into AI without their consent and all other variations of what is essentially either grounds for Copyright Infringement or concerns about humans being replaced by the old 1s and 0s (bots).
I'm not here to talk about the former but rather about the latter. I'm not here to tell you to love AI or accept it- it is the future. No, I'll leave that up to you and the collective to decide AI's fate. What I am curious about is, and let's suspend the notion that the house is on fire and we're in the house for a moment, are there possibly some parts of your workload where AI could be useful?
Hear me out here. Let's say that you could feed the AI your particular style of whatever, writing, backgrounds, cityscapes, skyscapes, alien worlds, alien environments, etc etc, or just things you absolutely detest doing yourself.. then have the AI perform that work for you. Would that be useful? Could it decrease your workload while staying true or close to your style? Or are you a purist?
I ask this since chatting with a friend about AI, we talked about things like the radio and newspapers. He explained that artists believed that the radio would replace them but instead they ended up going to the studio more often and making more money. Newspapers, people don't buy them as often, now you get your news online with a healthy dose of local and Google Ads to boot. The Newspaper itself has a wider audience base and opportunities to make more money based on regular fees to get into the paper AND online advertising.
So my questions above remain. If we could all step out of the burning house for a moment and take a serious look at our work loads and challenges.. how would or could you use AI art to your benefit? Could it free you up to take more work or make more money?

300 Viewer Milestone Poll Results and Art
Posted 3 years agoNow sure if this was planned out by my viewers or a pleasant coincidence but both the following items tied with the most votes:
Commission a piece ( Who and theme )
2 Char Commission, My Character and a Watcher
I've decided that means that we'll do both!
Let's start with the Commission a Piece ( Who and theme ). If my watchers could be so kind as to post:
1) Who they want to see ( You can check out my Gallery Folders for the current Roster of characters who can cameo for this one or maybe it's yourself? )
2) The theme
I'll go fishing for an artist.
We'll sort out the Two Char Commission after this one is done and dusted. Oh and the deadline for comments will be the end of Sept. 7th. I should give out numbers if this actually gets a lot of people but with some luck, hopefully the people who keep coming back will win it!
Good luck!

Happy New Year and other things
Posted 3 years agoYeah I realize I'm a week and some off but maybe for some of you it's not too far back that you can't remember it. As for me I moved on Christmas Eve from somewhere that I've spent quite a long time living near the beach to a more populated and active area than before.
Moving is a lot of work, there's sticking everything in boxes, moving said boxes and then there's finding where everything's been stuck afterwards. I'd like to keep moving down to a minimum if possible but perhaps I'm preaching to the choir here.
And while this isn't a rant and it certainly isn't exactly something that I do very often; I spent my Holiday season without internet for a while because the clerk forgot to type up my transfer service request but amusingly a normally 3 week process to switch could be done the very next day. So that's the plus to all of this. Besides that it's been a lot of elbow grease putting up curtains, balancing a washing machine, buying new beds, erecting my own custom made clothesline 2000 ( four pieces of wood I had out back that are screwed together and stuck like two feet into the ground with some concrete, oh and some lines attached to it ), buying lpg and running around trying to get everything right for the move.
We pretty much did though. It's taken a bit to get everything more of less back to normal and the plus is, less boxes and therefore more space to exercise again.
It's been an interesting 2021 but maybe 2022 is going to be something better. I'm looking forwards to it and I hope you all are too!
I should probably go buy a new ironing board too since the movers broke that on the journey over here... Or find some wood and drill it together..
Anyways! Still a bit more adulting to do to make things just right. A lot of change is happening. Wish you and yours all the best for 2022!

Considering a split
Posted 4 years agoNow it's no secret that more fox has been arriving here than wolf which is an obvious departure from the original nature and focus of this little section of FA of mine. This has always been something that made me wonder whether I should or should not post her content here or somewhere else and the lack of an ability to allow for more granular subscriptions has not really eased my feelings about this.
I like to imagine that there's a portion of people here who're more interested in seeing artwork related to Enitan's story and himself. As such I am considering a split between the two, keep this for his main, story related works and have another for non-canon stuff and extras.
What do you think?

2020 Arsonists Dream
Posted 5 years agoI have been on a good run of music for a few weeks now and today I stumbled across this one:
Hozier - Arsonists Lullaby - https://youtu.be/-eJbxI-jZbA
For me the lyrics had a meaning that I felt that I had to share...
(This is the format for my comments and thoughts)
When I was a child, I heard (people's) voices
Some would sing (praises) and some would scream (sneers, spitefulness, animosity, malice)
You soon find you have few choices
I learned the voices died with me (I keep them alive)
When I was a child, I'd sit for hours
Staring into open flame (recounting all of the negative things said)
Something in it had a power (over me)
Could barely tear my eyes away (paying all of my attention to these things)
[Hook]
All you have is your fire (that fire inside that urges you to do something)
And the place you need to reach (your goals, or place of peace)
Don't you ever tame your demons (don't cover up your troubles)
But always keep them on a leash (always keep them in the corner of your eyes for motivation to push forwards)
[Humming]
[Verse 2]
When I was sixteen, my senses fooled me (at some point)
Thought gasoline was on my clothes (I thought that those voices were right)
I knew that something would always rule me (Those voices finally dominated me)
I knew this scent was mine alone (This weight was mine to carry alone)
[Hook]
[Bridge]
When I was a man, I thought it ended (For a while it all went away - suppressed)
When I knew love's perfect ache (Distracted by someone or something else that kept my focus)
But my peace has always depended (That distraction by something or someone wouldn't last forever)
On all the ashes in my wake (I've found myself something new that I have got to burn)
[Outro -> Hook]
All you have is your fire (that fire inside that urges you to do something)
And the place you need to reach (your goals)
Don't you ever tame your demons (don't cover up your troubles)
But always keep them on a leash (always keep them in the corner of your eyes for motivation to push forwards)
Rekindle your own fire, try not suppress your demons...
Make 2020 the year that you move with vigor towards where you need to be,
the year that you gain control over your demons!
Happy New Year!
