Damn, I've got a lot of catching up to do.

The past three months have been taken up by depressing real life things and the art project, which I posted here today. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active now, and on the plus side I've got three months worth of other people's art to look through!

I am continuing to work on the project, at the end of which will be at least two very decent leftover 'props' that I'm sure someone would like. Wish I could say more, but it would ruin the surprise. All I can say for the moment is that I had no experience of any DIY stuff and the thing I'm making is difficult to get right even if you are good at carpentry. The learning curve is steep; much steeper than I'd thought it would be. Also my appreciation for geometry is growing, even though I am just as bad at math now as I was in high school.

I didn't get the man gene or the proper nerd gene. I only got the bit which makes me a nerd, not the one my dad and sister have which makes you incredibly clever and good at numbers and stuff. I did however get the gene which makes you obsessively work on something over and over until it isn't shit.

Things have been a bit difficult recently, but I'm starting to get well again and am slogging on with a photo homage that I have been wanting to do for ages. Unfortunately it requires a lot of particularly tricky carpentry, paintwork and all those things that I apparently miss the male gene for doing. That said I have learned a lot in the past months and am nearing the point were all the bits will be ready for the photo. It's been a steep learning curve with a lot of f-ups and start agains, but it will be worth it.

Trust me.

If I've achieve nothing else in my life then this alone will more than make up for it.

It's also probably the first time someone on FA has cut a hole in the arse end of a stuffed toy for non-nefarious purposes.
