I’m new to the whole twitter thing because I’m a lazy boomer but it’s a lot easier to be active there on mobile than furaffinity. I log in here maybe once every 2 weeks because the mobile version of FA sucks and have a hard time keeping track of notes. The twitter app is very nice and honestly it seems much more streamlined to keep your content relevant there.
So yeah. I will post art here when I do it, but commission inquiries and direct contact is preferred through twitter. Thanks!

it has been quite awhile. after a long break i'm finally enjoying drawing again! i think taking time away from it all has helped. i took a walk through my gallery and i noticed how sloppy i had gotten before i left. i think i was feeling pressure to do work quickly and it showed, unfortunately. regardless, i think i made leaps and bounds in terms of improvement over the past few years. which leads to something i should have done a long time ago...
my YCH catalog is going to retire. ALL of it. there are some ychs in there that have been fairly popular, and i still get notes asking for despite my absence, so i thought that a PSA might be appreciated. they are massively outdated and no longer indicative of the quality of work i produce.
i understand i've been gone for a long time, and demand for my work will be low. actually, i'm expecting unwatches when i post this journal LOL. rightfully so. but there's your warning.

in addition, i'll be traveling 3.5 hrs to pittsburgh to housesit+dogsit for my mom this coming friday. this means that i won't be working on outstanding commissions while i am gone, since my work pc can't come with me (it's a big computer tower, not a laptop). my mac will be coming with me, so i may stream and do some pwyw or discount quickies....but my laptop is nearing 6 years old. it has quality limits--i certainly wouldn't be completing normal commissions on it. also, streaming on it is spotty since it has a tendency to overheat and explode (figuratively LOL). so yeah, everything is up in the air except for the fact that commissions will not be worked on from june 30th to july 8th . shoot me a note if you need me, ill still be active on FA daily ^^

so here's the deal, the 'big' prize is going to be a traditional drawing, inked and colored. second place prize is a traditional pencil sketch. also you can choose if you want me to ship it to you or nah but that'll require an address. ALSO also if you boost the raffle by making a journal and including the link to THIS journal, i'll give you an additional entry.

Posted 9 years agoHello all! I missed you very much, and I really do look forward to getting back to work. Though you're going to have to give me a few days to travel back home (the 6th, wednesday, will be the 7 hr drive back to NC) and once that's all over with I'll be resuming the stream schedule. I hope you all have been well in the absence!!
So! Ignore this, really, because i'm only typing it for my own reference. It's fun to do these little journal recaps or else i'll forget everything LOL
RECAP:
Thursday we met at my mom's home and packed everything up and headed off to the hotel. The hotel doesn't allow check-ins until 3pm, so we dropped by the convention center and picked up the preorder badges. Nick and Ang picked fucking stupid badge names (Hawkguy and Long UFO respectively) and we left for the strip district to kill some more time before check-in. Destiny isn't a Pittsburgh native so she's never been--she really liked it, which made me a happy camper because she hates Pittsburgh (in her words, Shitsburgh) Mary got Thai food from a food cart and the rest of us got food from Wholey's. After that we stopped at a couple of shops including a novelty candy shop. Because I make poor decisions I bought ranch dressing soda (
IM LOOKING AT YOU). It was kind of sweet but mostly awful and a mistake LOL. Took an uber back to the hotel and moved our junk into the room. This year's room was smaller than last year's and also had a stupid bathroom layout. We were on the 14th floor....none of the windows were locked and there weren't any screens on the outside??? How has no one fallen out and splatted on the pavement yet???? Once we got settled in I think we just played board games and got pizza? I don't remember if we did anything else. Feel free to correct me 
if I'm in the wrong here. (EDIT: I REMEMBER. nick, ang and I went downstairs to work out, which was a horrible decision. nick does crossfit so he was fine and ang was pretty ok too but all of the machines are too big for me so i basically ate shit on everything. ang was nice enough to donate her inhaler to me but i apparently "swallowed it with my whole mouth" but at least i wasn't quite as miserable after that)
Friday Mary and Ang left early in the morning to get donuts. We ate and Ang needed something from Walmart, so all of us except Nick left with her to go back home. Dropped by her house, Mary's house, Lin's Garden for chinese, Walmart for glowsticks and other stuff, Burger King for those mac n cheetos, then back to the hotel. Nick was taking an online final for some shitty italian literature class while we were gone (drunk like a fucking savage). We left for the convention center. Generally going to anthrocon is less for the actual convention and more for us to all hang out together, so we don't go to many panels. Granted, we DO go to the panels we think are going to be a total shitshow: the open mic was the first panel we went to. Most of it was pretty cringe-worthy (especially since it was very raunchy and some mom and her little girl were sitting next to us) but some of the jokes were....ok LMAO. Mary, Destiny and I left early because Destiny couldn't handle the intense cringe and went to the blizzard games meet and greet (though none of us realized it was a meet and greet, where you have to, like, talk to people, so we left pretty quick). we went to karaoke and it was almost equally as bad as the open mic. The guy who sang Piano Man was pretty good, at least. And some fursuiter singing a japanese song was fired up and knew all the lyrics without looking, so good on you man. After karaoke we went back to the hotel to kill a few hours before Are You A Werewolf at 10pm. We went to Market Square to get dinner and played some board games before we headed back to the DLCC. This year's AYAW was...interesting. The crowd was more annoying than usual and two of us (me and Ang) died in the first round so it was an excruciating hour of sitting around doing NOTHING. I know Destiny hated it too because, in her words, "everyone thought they were so funny and they weren't" and she was kind of right about that. At least some of the people were nice (like
and a geologist in a 1920's get-up called Osiris and the girl with cool earrings) but otherwise they really were all dicks. The moderator was being a dick this year too. Ah well. It was 2am at this point so we went home and crashed.
Saturday we woke up kinda late and went to watch the fursuit parade. They had Rita's ice (local italian ice chain) so we ate and watched all the fursuiters do their thing. Destiny was nice enough to humor me when I was chatting about wanting a
fursuit. Then I accidentally spilled Rita's ice on the floor if there's no Rita's booth next year, it's because I left a huge red stain all over the carpet by the escalator (we TRIED to clean it!!! i swear!!). RIP. After window-shopping in the dealer's den and artist alley, we left for the hotel to eat (i think? again, , if i'm wrong feel free to correct me). We played some more games and Destiny took a nap. Nick and Ang pre-gamed before the rave while Destiny took a nap and I got ready. We had some time to kill before the rave so Nick and Ang and I wandered around the convention center's outside balcony; I forgot how pretty the DLCC is. The rave was SO MUCH FUN and we all had a really good time (though Nick got smashed and just bounced around in the inflatable donut for like 2 hours). Went home, put Nick and Ang to bed and crashed for the night.
Sunday was pretty lowkey, wandered around the dealer's den/artist alley for an hour or so and bought a couple of things. Had to leave a little earlier than intended and ended up not getting to buy some stuff, but that's fine. Wandered around the strip district and went back to the hotel. We just sort of hung out this day. Cleaned up a little bit and headed to bed.

Thursday: Got picked up by Nick, deposited money at the bank and picked up and and we drove to the Omni.....only to get there and realize my card was still in the atm at the bank back home. LMFAO so we drove all the way back home because the room was under my card. #fuckedup but anyways we got settled in our room which was huge and so roomy then we went and picked up our badges. Ok, so we all pre-regged this year because we waited in Linecon 2014 when the servers exploded and everyone waited like 6 hours for on site registration. But everyone else literally had that same exact mindset so the pre-reg lines were long. Only A-F though???? My last name was R and there was actually no line. At all. We still waited for Ang tho in the A-F line because we love her. After that we went to Ben&Jerry's to cash in on those dAnK cOuPoNs...and I think we just went back to the hotel and called it a night???
Friday: Woke up at 4:30am because I was freezing my ass off in the hotel room....(that was a trend all weekend long, lmao but really crymao)....when we all woke up, got into Reno and went with Nick and Ang to the DLCC. Waited in line for like almost an hour for my fursuit badge but there was this really cute little kid I got to pal around with in my suit--normally I'm not so good with kids, but being a big fuzzy animal is a surprising confidence-booster LOL. Picked up my badge (#309!) and then we went to the dealer's room. Bought a new bandana and wandered around for awhile. I think we went to the Open Mic after that?? Or maybe not. I don't remember when on the timeline, but we went to open mic and were seriously expecting a total cringe-worthy time but it was....shockingly good??? Even 2 and Alkali were surprised by the quality. I mean, 65% was good. The rest were sort of hard to listen to. Mary came back halfway through the show and we went to the dealer's room again I think?? We all entered raffle tickets (dumped all 4 of mine in the goat fursuit badge cup and crossed my fingers) then we went to the vidya room. I met this really sweet otter fursuiter named Jake!!! He was crushingly friendly and easy to chat with. Got fucking REKT in the mario kart tournament LMFAO then Nick and Ang and I got lunch at some sub shop downtown. It was, like, just far enough away from the convention center that normal people outnumbered furries and I got a lot of snickering but I like that!! I think I'd rather entertain people and get a chuckle by looking goofy than just walking around in normal clothing. We ate and I headed back to the hotel, changed out of suit and made our way to the Westin for Are You a Werewolf.
That was certainly something. Not as professionally run as last year--the gm got confused sometimes and the debate times were erratic....but fun! Definitely fun. The games themselves were just a fucking mess LOOOOL but I met 
and her friends so that was cool!! We chatted for awhile after the games were over at...what, 2:30 am? Really nice people! I think we went back to the hotel, showered and collectively passed out after that.
Saturday: Still arctic levels of cold in our room, but better than the previous night. Showered and left with Nick to catch the second half of the fursuit parade. It being outside was an awesome decision--definitely joining in next year. Ugh, details get fuzzy around this point. I think I bought cuffs for me and my girlfriend and then we sat around outside the dealer's room for awhile? In a fit of creative genius, I founded a new species....anal dragons...theyre like angel dragons except better and mine....original species donut steel....but uh after that decisive moment in history we took the subway and got Noodles + Co. for lunch. Nick and Ang somehow went ahead of us and got to Uncle Kage's story hour before we did so Mary and I stuck around in the vidya room until it was over. I went with Ang and Nick to Ben+Jerry's again......where I figured out my wallet had been stolen.
I literally lost -everything- with that wallet. Credit card, 2 debit cards, Driver's License, PASSPORT CARD, you name it, I lost it. Congrats @ whoever stole it because yall got like 3 bucks in cash. So I frantically shut down every card I had and luckily nothing in my accounts was touched. But, still, kind of a bummer. Ah well. That's life LMAO so yeah I got into fursuit and we went back to the DLCC for an impromptu Are You a Werewolf but couldn't find it??? There was this neat game tho with the shitty playstation motion controllers called...joust?? That was so much fun omfg even tho I got wrecked consistently as a fursuiter...I guess except for when that guy dressed as Cthulu and I had a dance off?? I love how fun-loving everyone is at furry cons!!! We were going to go to the bad fiction panel but it was pretty boring so we went back to the Omni.
...okay so someone on Yik-yak was offering free pizza, so we offered them my boobs for their pizza and they fucking came to our room. S H O U T O U T T O T H A W A R B O Y S 
we had a goddamn meme-y blast together and it was so cash like wtf...meeting friends at furcons????
it was like 5 am when we all went to bed but it was awesome
Sunday: We woke up at like 1 pm LMAO so we got dressed, I got in suit and Nick+Ang+I went to the puppet improv. It was. Certainly....something. LOOOOL fun in a cringey way? Us three did a skit and I'm getting the video of it soon from the director of the panel and I'm so hype!!! It was a dorky kind of fun. We went in the dealer's room for awhile then met up w/ the warboys and hung out for the rest of the day. Drew a bunch of dank memes and left them around the westin....they were in shitty red marker and I was so ashamed I crossed my own username off of them. Still have the pics tho <333 We all came back to the Omni and chattered away until Mike had to go on his flight back home. Zach and Josh stayed for awhile longer then skedaddled too. It was a nice night.
Monday: Woke up at a disgusting 9 am freezing my tits off, got my temp card at Huntington and packed up to go home. RIP AC 2015, you were everything and more.

In order to receive a quote for a commission (unless it's a YCH), please refer to my price sheet! Private message me with "commission" in the subject line and describe what you would like. My inbox is very clogged with notes so if you don't contact me with that key word in the subject line I might miss you or lose your info later down the line! I will send you my paypal.me once a price has been settled (please don't uncheck the goods/services button! dodging paypal fees can land me in big trouble). If you aren't comfy with using paypal.me, let me know and I'll send you an invoice instead ! Only USD will be accepted.
All commissions of $120+ may be paid 2/3 upfront and 1/3 once a WIP is sent and approved. Postage required for any physical commissions will be included in the paypal charge.
REGARDING PAYMENT PLANS:
-> I require at least 2/3rds or 66% payment before I will START.
-> Deadlines will be discussed and accommodated to the customer, however, a payment plan is not an excuse to procrastinate on payments. Product will be with-held until full payment is received.
-> I do not "earn" pieces of the payment plan. Do not debate the terms with me once we are locked into the plan.
REGARDING ECHECKS:
->I don't accept echecks. If you send one, I'll cancel the payment and not start your commission until a different payment is settled on.
REGARDING STREAMING:
-> Do not police my work in-stream. Don't worry, I will ask at the sketch stage, the lined stage and the colored stage if everything is okay with you.
-> Follow stream rules or I'll ban you and refund.
REGARDING COMMISSION TURN-OUT:
-> My turn-out is typically a month (+1 week per extra character). Sometimes it will be sooner, but for more involved pieces (with rendered backgrounds) it will take closer to 6 weeks.
-> Do not ask me about the status of the commission before the month has passed. I think this is a fair amount of time compared to industry standard. Also, I have structured my Trello so that you may see what stage your commission is at.
-> After three months/90 days has passed, you will qualify for a full refund. I will be in communication with you if I have to put commissions on hold for personal reasons but it is never my intent for you to leave feeling cheated.
REGARDING RAFFLE TURN-OUT:
-> Turnout is variable, depending on how much commission work-around is needed.
REGARDING COMMISSION CONTENT:
-> I will not accept commissions for babyfurs wearing diapers or humans.
-> For the most part, I will not accept couples pieces. Linked icons are OK.

Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! I'll start off with the part most of you are probably more interested in: I have internet again, meaning I can upload stuff now! Because of all the chaos of moving and Anthrocon, I didn't get as much done in that time period as I would have liked, but...such is life?
Anyways, as I said, I went so AC! Honestly, it was an absolute blast and I wouldn't hesitate to go again next year. I'll just do it by day:

Thursday - My mum woke me up at 5 AM to say bye to her and couldn't fall back asleep so I played BOI. Left at 9 with some friends and got breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. Left for DLCC at 11 in my fursuit, parked and walked back stopping for pictures with people every so often. I preregistered and it took all of 3 minutes to get my badge.....then I waiting with my friends in the regular reg line for 5 AND A HALF hours. Finally understood the meaning of Linecon. Did some free art for people in line including a very nice fellow with a fursona named liquid. I can't seem to find them on FA, however. Got through line, checked into our hotel and got dinner. Went back to the hotel and changed out of fursuit and went to the dance that night. Tons of fun!! So tired and sweaty after it though.
Friday - Woke up, got in fursuit and went to the con. Due to a misunderstanding we missed opening ceremonies but ah well. Went to the Video game room and competed in the Mario Kart 8 tournament. Despite never playing the newest version, I got to semi-finals! It was a lot of fun and I got a Nic Cage badge! Ran back to the hotel and changed into fursuit. Went to Uncle Kage's Story hour WHICH WAS AMAZING AND HILARIOUS with a nice younger girl in a coyote partial named Spi. After that we returned to the video game room and I competed in the Pokemon XY tournament. I met 
dustormcloud, 
meekameerkat and 
blackngoldtigerlord who were all great fun to be around!! Only went three round out of five before I got booted out, though. The guy who beat me won second so I don't feel too bad? It was so much fun I opted out of going to the fireworks. I stayed in fursuit to go to the dance, but I overheated immediately and ran straight for the headless lounge where I met 
pedrolerenard who blew my mind with all sorts of crazy ideas for building fursuits and stories. After all the excitement we went back to the hotel and collapsed.
Saturday - Dragged myself out of bed super early to get a fursuit badge. Trolled around the Dealer's Den for awhile but decided to come back later to buy something. I went to 
lemonbrat and aired my complaints to the same guy who I talked to at Tekko. He was absolutely taken aback at my issues and apologized genuinely but the other woman vendor there totally seemed annoyed?? He was super nice enough to give me $50 off my next purchase and free alterations, which I may take but to be honest if most of the Lemonbrat team is like that woman then idk if I really want to do business with them again after that? Went back to the hotel and changed out of suit as I didn't feel like being in the parade, it was soooooo hot. Hung around in the Dealer's Room with blackngoldtigerlord and got a TON of swag. Swag includes: A big jingly bell, a lime green harness from 
warhorseworkshop, a GM tshirt, a super cute dinosaur bandana, a print of the Scorpio dragon, and a badge!! After that we got food and went to the Are You a Werewolf game. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN AND ARGUABLY MY FAVORITE PART OF THE CON. The people there were SO AWESOME (
wharst and 
pocketgrok had FA accounts, so....hi!). After the first round, the super cute fursuiter ordered pizza and we sat around and talked for awhile. wharst shared his banana lube with me and some others AND IT WAS NASTY AND TASTED PRETTY CLOSE TO BANANAS. We played round two and I was medium two times in a row which was weird but the town won by a slim margin. The fursuiter was taking a video of it so I hope it goes on youtube!!! After that we all frolicked to the dance where I got super overheated in suit immediately and retreated tail between my legs to the fursuit lounge again. Z!g (THEY TOLD ME THEIR FA BUT I FORGOT IT WAAAAHHH :( ) approached me as I was alone and struck up a conversation and Wylie came up too and we talked for awhile. They were both so funny and sweet! They told me to watch them at the dance comp and skedaddled, and so did I. Went back to the hotel sooooo sweaty and tired and also unsure of where my phone was.
Sunday - Woke up at 12:30 pm and panicked, found my phone and ran to DLCC, catching the comp JUST in time to watch Z!g and Wylie dance and they were incredible. Talked with dustormcloud and wished him off as Sunday was his last day. Went to Are you a Changeling but the crowd was a little more reserved so it wasn't as fun, but still fun! Ran back to the hotel and got into suit to take professional photos. I was feeling a little discouraged about my fursuit when I left from the pictures but as I was standing around 
humphreye45 approached me and explained he was Torch ( 
ToRcHAngleDragon ). He proceeded to say he saw me around at the con in fursuit and said I performed well in it and asked who made it. When I told him I did he was blown away and told me he thought someone like SparkyCanDo or Telephone did. He was so incredibly nice and it left me in the best mood, his words meant so much to me that I almost cried to be honest. If you read this Humphrey, thank you, truly!!!! After I ran up the down escalator and tripped and almost died, we left DLCC, got food and returned to the hotel. Pof brought Red Dragon Inn and we played a round before he departed. We showered, got ice cream and turned in for the night.
Monday - Not much to say, we cleaned up and left for home.

Commissioner Review: Lemonbrat

To anyone who may actually read this:
You may have seen ads for a small company called Lemonbrat - they make hoodies and plushies. They'll even take custom hoodie requests! On their website, they have a gallery of custom work. However, from my own experience I have draw the conclusion that their gallery is merely a portfolio, and they have put out their best pieces to draw customers.
The best doesn't mean the standard! Compared to what was shown on the website, I was underwhelmed with what I received. Not only did it take nearly month over my estimated time to actually get my prepaid item, but I practically had to beat communication out of them regarding the status of my hoodie. They were very courteous but not very sorry they were taking as long as they did.
When I got my hoodie...good points, it was well tailored and sturdy. The tail was excellent, too. But a word of warning: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOUR CHARACTER HAS HAIR THEN DON'T EVEN BOTHER, SERIOUSLY. It's not very good, but to be fair you can only do so much with fleece. I should have known better (or put less faith in them). Also, my character has tall ears and the ears on the hood simply do not stay upright no matter what. But, again, I suppose there's only so much that can be done with fabric.
What I'm most miffed about is that when they emailed me to confirm my order and make sure everything was right, I asked to make the hood look a bit more like the mane on my character, but I mentioned how I didn't want it like their lion hoodies where the tufts come directly from the hoodie band. I was told that this was no problem - and received the hoodie exactly as I specified I did not want it. I should have been extremely clear cut with them, but I already got the feeling that my hoodie order had been around for so long (7 weeks instead of 2 :/) that they just wanted it out of there. Without another confirmation email my hoodie was shipped to me.
I guess I just don't think I paid for what I got - $260 total for the hoodie. Maybe I'm silly for being as irritated as I am, but when I pay good money I expect a company to compose itself as a professional establishment would and I feel Lemonbrat was pretty unprofessional.

To anyone who may actually read this:
You may have seen ads for a small company called Lemonbrat - they make hoodies and plushies. They'll even take custom hoodie requests! On their website, they have a gallery of custom work. However, from my own experience I have draw the conclusion that their gallery is merely a portfolio, and they have put out their best pieces to draw customers.
The best doesn't mean the standard! Compared to what was shown on the website, I was underwhelmed with what I received. Not only did it take nearly month over my estimated time to actually get my prepaid item, but I practically had to beat communication out of them regarding the status of my hoodie. They were very courteous but not very sorry they were taking as long as they did.
When I got my hoodie...good points, it was well tailored and sturdy. The tail was excellent, too. But a word of warning: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOUR CHARACTER HAS HAIR THEN DON'T EVEN BOTHER, SERIOUSLY. It's not very good, but to be fair you can only do so much with fleece. I should have known better (or put less faith in them). Also, my character has tall ears and the ears on the hood simply do not stay upright no matter what. But, again, I suppose there's only so much that can be done with fabric.
What I'm most miffed about is that when they emailed me to confirm my order and make sure everything was right, I asked to make the hood look a bit more like the mane on my character, but I mentioned how I didn't want it like their lion hoodies where the tufts come directly from the hoodie band. I was told that this was no problem - and received the hoodie exactly as I specified I did not want it. I should have been extremely clear cut with them, but I already got the feeling that my hoodie order had been around for so long (7 weeks instead of 2 :/) that they just wanted it out of there. Without another confirmation email my hoodie was shipped to me.
