Doing this picture http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1910721 of Obama tonight has really helped get my confidence back after last night. It's my favourite piece i've done for quite a while and it's made me want to go back and revisit a few pieces that i'm not quite happy with (Not commissions obviously).

Posted 17 years agoI'm quite upset now and I really hate the fact that I don't know if anything I can say can change people's opinion on this.
Apparently some/lots/i don't know how fucking many...people.
Think that the art I do is easy/cheap/copy and pasted/samey pick one.
Now I don't get annoyed easily at all, anyone who knows me will tell you that. But I am fucking pissed off, upset and actually feel i'm gona cry.
If we ignore the fact that clearly the comic strip I started doing uses copy and paste, because basicly it's a comic strip for me to get ideas across, or jokes or whatever, not something where I feel I have to draw some elaborate piece in each panel, it completely defeats the purpose of it.
Here's another example of me copy and pasting (from my comment I just wrote a little while ago on one of my comics)

People say, oh anyone can do the vector thing, but there's a big difference between good simple and rubbish.
I enjoy doing both, but I just feel that this style is more effective at getting an idea across, perhaps I have been brainwashed by my illustration lecturers, i went into Uni drawing stuff like the wolf, I came out with my vector style, personaly my favourite piece I have posted here is this:

It took far longer than that wolf picture did, things like getting the composition exactly how I wanted it, how I felt it worked best, there's a lot more goes into it than me saying "There we go that looks a little bit like a cloud" everything has to work together.
Maybe its an artist thing, i don't say that to be elitist but in general Artists seem to appreciate what i'm trying to say more than non artists who often see things more on a scale of how good a picture is = how much like the real thing it looks.
Ugh please tell me somebody understands where i'm coming from and that the people who are saying stuff about me are just clueless?

Posted 17 years agoRight, I have more money coming in than I ever have before but it seems that various things like my bathroom and social events recently have made me have less money than usual and it means I am worrying about money for my upcoming commitments such as the manchester meet and RBW.
Yes it's hardly a financial crisis when these things are optional but I live on my own and frankly social things like this stop me from going crazy O.o lol.
So with that in mind, would anybody like to commission me to do a pic for them?
With regards to the more detailed images, I have 2 i'm doing for a friend at the moment so they aren't likely to be quick coming. The sketchy drawings (£10 up to 2 ch) and Avatars (£8) however I do very fast so I can fir these in around the more detailed images.

Err so yeah you might have noticed my icon having changed.
Basicly recently I've had a rethink about myself and realised that i've not really been being me to an extent. I've been a furry for about 12 years now but after a lot of initial enthusiasm I think i've kind of coasted along and recently i've felt that that's wrong.
I want people to know that I AM still very much a furry, yes I make jokes about it, but then I make gay jokes and I love the cock :P
This isn't an emo post, i'm actualy feeling very happy and better about myself (Not that I felt bad before).
But yeah the icon is because i've kind of reinvented myself and moved out of the 'coasting'.

I LOVE sketchy cutesy QUICK work, I think it definitely has more of me in it as oposed to the long winded 'realistic' pieces i've down.
I will continue to do those kind of pictures for people if they wish but what I really want to do is my avatars and cutesy (yet quite possibly yiffy) pictures.
