On the use of "Kaiju" as a label

Recently I've seen a few people who submit artwork here misusing the Japanese term "Kaiju" to mean "Macro" or "Giant". This is so far from the original use of the word that it's like calling a spoon a car.
If you'll forgive me I'd like to explain what Kaiju actually means. Kaiju, translated, means "strange creature" or as one might say in English "monster". It means nothing about size.
Let me please repeat that... it says nothing about size. Nothing.
Now I can already hear people thinking "Oh, but people call Godzilla a kaiju and he's a giant monster" and they are right, people do call him a kaiju and it's not wrong. A giant monster is still a monster.
However, if you look properly you'll find that in the fiction where both giant and human sized monsters exist the terms "kaiju" and "daikaiju" will be used, the "dai" prefix meaning "large".
So we've established the correct use of the term now, so why am I so incensed about this? Well some using "kaiju" on macro art are not using it right because the characters depicted are not monsters, they are just giant anthros.
If you've got a giant anthro, that is not a monster, then it's a giant anthro and not a kaiju.

Dark Knight Explanation and Backstory
General | Posted 13 years agoSome folks keep asking "What's this all about, eh?" and to make things easier for the casual viewer I've decided to write down where the character comes from RL, what he is to me, and what he can do in fantasy.
Before you interject, this isn't related to Batman at all. :P
Origination
Back in 1995, when I was a wee 11/12 year old, I used to watch a kids game show on Children's BBC called "Incredible Games". It was set in a tower block with different games on each floor, the host being an AI that ran the elevator in said tower block. The contestants would ride the lift to a floor, play a game, and win points to travel further up the building. If they got to the top they could play a game to win a shedload of prizes.
Anyway, one of the games was kinda based on chess. The contestants had to cross a grid/board without getting caught by "The Dark Knight". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPUpwSSU15o
I'd just hit puberty at the time when I first saw this show and it's very easy for me to say that it gave me a huge boner. It affected me so much that it's still the one thing that always gets me horny without fail. Everything about the character is so beautiful, sexy, intimidating, mysterious, that I get hard just thinking about it.
TL;DR - I find this sexy. Deal wid it.

The Dark Knight's sexual desire is to chase and capture other people and in turn make their own darkest sexual desires come true from within his satin embrace. He loves to see the fear in his opponents as he draws closer to them.
The full circle cloak that he wears is there to hide his form and add to the mystery, it only giving teasing glimpses of the shape of his body as he moves, but it also adds to his intimidating and majestic look with how it flows whenever he moves his limbs.
The helmet, like his cloak, covers his head entirely, the only opening at the neck where the collar of the cloak meets it. The metal bands add an intimidating air to it as well as provide definition for the angular contours of the muzzle piece. The black visor is impenetrable as to keep the mysterious and evil look.
The dreadlocks are satin-clad tentacle-like appendages, able to grow longer to restrain prey, but can also be used as dildos, can perform fellatio, and can also swallow prey whole like a snake.
Once he has caught someone he is able to read their sexual desires, and if they're exciting enough (and can include him) he will grant that fantasy. Otherwise the prey is atomised and absorbed into him, giving him even more power.
Examples of what he has been done to prey before:
Vore (atomisation, absorbtion into his cloak, injestion into a tentacle)
Tentacle play (fellatio/milking included)
Vanilla sex
Latex bondage (controllable latex suits)
Mummification
Forced transformation (species and gender)
Breath play
As the Dark Knight gains more power he is able to perform more feats, essentially almost anything that the prey desires is available. ;)
I hope this sheds some light onto this evil character. >:3

General | Posted 13 years agoFirstly, to those who don't follow me this is not about Batman. No jokes please. I expect that those who do follow me will know about what I mean by "The Dark Knight"
OK guys, I need to say this because some people are retarded. The Dark Knight is so very personal to me that I'm gonna have to set restrictions for RPs.
The following ideas will not be considered:
1) Domination or control of the Dark Knight. Just no. Indomitable. Look up that word.
2) Creation of more Dark Knights. I don't think I can trust anyone to live up to the character. It has been fun, and the two people who have their own private Dark Knight forms I am happy for them to keep, but I will no longer "convert" anyone else.
The reasons for this are two fold; the mythos is really still evolving and it includes a lot of personal elements that I am finding hard to write down and even conjugate at times. Talking with friends IRL helps, but I need to get everything written down.
The other reason for this is that I've had someone just note me on FA and essentially write down everything my character was doing, without my permission, stealing control of my character.
That's something I really cannot stand. RPs are a creation between two or more parties, and when one party takes control and writes for the others that's just unfair. Hell, even when I am dominating I never write for the other player (if there body moves in a certain way it's because I've physically made them do it) and I always always let THEM speak.
That's it for now, rant over. Maybe in the future I'll write down more about the Dark Knight's mythos and what it means to me.

UK TV Show Looking for Fursuit Sex - STAY AWAY!

DO NOT entertain these people. They may say that they want to " make sure that the community is represented favourably" but all they want is sensationalism.

Every year ConFuzzled just keeps getting better and better, even from a staff perspective.
As usual I was running around like a blue-arsed fly, though our increase in staff numbers did allow those of us in Operations to spend a little more time chilling. ConOpsCon (a small party in Ops that occurred at the spur of the moment during the Paw Pets Show) was a success, in so far as just sitting and chilling can be. ;)
I DJ'd twice during the con, the first being on Friday night doing a rock/metal set with
kennofox. It was a blast, but will be the last time I do rock/metal. It's now nowhere near as fun as spinning EDM and Hardcore, so I'm going to hand over the reigns to Kenno/Ska, who will do the set justice. :)
The second time I DJ'd was during the Dead Dog party with
swolf. Each of us would play two or three songs and then switch over, and we were spinning classic 90s dance and cheese. That was a freaking blast. I haven't had fun like that in a LONG time, and we've both decided that we should do it again next year! (Possibly named the "Shattered Werewolf Party", instead of Dead Dog. ;D ) Everyone who came to it seemed to be having the time of their lives too... so many grinning and smiling faces... so many people dancing, which was surprising considering that it's the Dead Dog!

General | Posted 14 years agoI just want to say thanks to everyone who faved and commented on my recent submission (for posterity, link is http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7271869 ).
"Coming out" about this has really been a weight off my shoulders. For the longest time I've been afraid to speak up about it for fear of having my desires and dreams laughed at for being infantile/silly/etc; every time I told someone about this it felt as though I was bringing my soul to bear, but now I'm much more confident in regards to discussing this with friends. :)
Expect to see more artwork in the next few months or so. Prior to this I've never really asked for naughty art, as all I ever wanted included the Dark Knight, but now I want loads. xD
