About four years ago I wrote a journal ( https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10099180 ) detailing some stuff about Bridle's character, and thought I would write another one. As with the previous journal, this is going to be heavy on MLP stuff.

As you may have noticed from the pics I've posted the past few years, I've been having a lot of fun with ideas involving Bridle and Zephyr. I have loads of ideas that I would love to see in art form, probably too many. XD Though it does make me want to take up drawing again so that I could draw some of the ideas myself.

I mentioned in the previous journal about Bridle and Zephyr having a foal, and I've finally gotten around to asking someone to draw it. I was kind of going back and forth a lot about whether it should be a colt or a filly or twins consisting of a colt and a filly. I was unsure of design as well. I've decided to go with a filly, and I'm allowing the artist some artistic freedom with the design of her, though I've made some suggestions: Since the Shy kids are coloured similarly to their parent of the same sex (as in Zephyr and their dad are both green/cyan and Fluttershy and their mom are both yellow) I suggested that the filly would probably be more grey (like Bridle), but, really, I think as long as she looks like her parents, I'll probably be really happy with what the artist comes up with!

Her name is going to be Twilight Breeze. :) I think it's a cute name on its own, but I've come up with some lore as well. Since Twilight Sparkle's mother is named Twilight Velvet, I have a bit of a headcanon that "Twilight" is a name passed down through the daughters. Twilight (Sparkle) is kind of a second adopted mother to the filly, so Bridle and Zephyr decided to carry on that tradition (with the blessing of Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Velvet)

I also had the idea that Bridle got pregnant around the time she and Zephyr were comfortable with each other and making long term plans, but it freaked both of them out. In particular, Bridle was scared that Zephyr was going to leave her alone, given his history of giving up on things, but he doesn't want to hurt Bridle or be without her and he wants his foal to grow up with more confidence than he did. (I've detailed a lot of those thoughts in the previous journal.) I've had a picture idea for ages where he's holding Bridle and comforting her, I've just been a bit reluctant to commission it as I tend to go for the cute/silly stuff. I probably will get it done though as it's kind of an important part of their story, it adds some dimension to their relationship and a bit of redemption for Zeph. (Though tbf, a lot of people seem to forget he was already making himself a better pony at the end of "Flutter Brutter".) Anyway, Twilight Sparkle helped them with research and just morale support in general, so I felt that them honoring her family's naming tradition was also fitting in that regard. :)

I am currently waiting on a pic that's a cute wedding pic of Bridle and Zephyr, and a naughty one that takes place after. ;) I'm also getting a new reference sheet done of Bridle with her new cutie mark and the other changes I've made. The "bun" hair-do is going to be default for her now, as I think it looks really cute, and I also like the idea that B and Z are dorks and have a similar mane style. :P I also like the purple and green feathers in her mane, and if I remember to ask for it when I commission pics, Twi and Zeph will have one of Bridle's feathers in their manes.

That said, I'm probably going to have a little less emphasis on Twi and Bridle in the future though. I don't want to get rid of it completely as she's still my favourite of the Mane 6, don't get me wrong, I'm just having a lot of fun right now coming up with ideas with Bridle and Zephyr as two fairly "normal" ponies that are "close" to the heroes. I've also developed quite a soft spot for the TwiDash ship as well. (I guess those naughty pics of Bridle with Rainbow could be partner swapping? lol) I had an idea for a pic where Twilight, Rainbow, Zephyr and Bridle are on a "double date", but it's kind of ambiguous who is with who, or it could just be seen as four friends having a good time. I would also still like to get that "family portrait" of the Twilights, Bridle and Zephyr.

I just wanted to write down some of the ideas I've been having, and expand on what I said in the previous journal as those ideas have evolved since then. Thanks for reading if you did. :)
