Just stuck in a personal quandary I guess: should I bother trying to find someone again?

Need some female insight on this subject; well, would like some anyways. No one has to answer this question with themselves as an example--especially if they're already in a complete relationship--I just wanted to ask: Would any self respecting woman ever consider me (i.e. non-gold digger, non leecher; interested in self improvement, etc.) an ideal or even appropriate partner?

I realize everyone has baggage when they move into a relationship. I'm just asking because mine is a little different. I've tried to move on but I love Katie, and I always will. But she's dead and gone and there's nothing I can do about it but try to move on. Despite my comments on pictures, I'm not a singleminded sexhound, I'd rather just find someone to spend my time/life with.

I was contacted by an individual for, of all things, a request to do a fanfiction of AtR.
I'm kind of partly writing it. I'm flattered to say the least; didn't realize people liked it all that much--or that it would spark an idea in someone.

As you are all aware of by now,  athus was in a car crash earlier this week and did not survive. I only ever talked to him briefly. He seemed like such a wonderful person to know, and I regret that I never got the opportunity to experience that. He will be missed. He touched many lives in his time amongst us, as clearly evident by the shear outpouring of lament from the community.

Every time there's a death amongst anyone I've ever talked to at all, I'm always reminded of the closest people I've lost.
Usually, these things are a world away from me. To lose someone in my own neighborhood, and to never have known them at all...its sobering. That helpless and useless feeling sinks in.
I took a candle to the site of the accident; not knowing his denomination if any, I felt a candle to be the most apt; and I couldn't think of anything else I could do.


If anyone has some words they'd like to be taken there, pictures or anything; send them to me I will make sure it gets there. And please spread this offer. I'm not as influential as he was, but with the way he impacted this community, I'm sure this can easily be spread.

Aiyah....

I just read, apparently she took her own life as a result of a culmination of a painful medical condition and relentless bullying.
I only ever talked to her infrequently. I never knew anything about her troubles and as someone who also possesses several ailments and has also had to endure unfounded bullying, I wish I had. I don't see how talking down to someone can ever make you feel better about yourself. I wish I could help the world stop being such a dim place.


All I can say is: farewell; I hope you found your peace.
May you find endless skies.



Additional: I tip my hat to those medical researchers who have yet to give up in the face of relentlessly elusive cures and red tape.
