Hey there poxpeeps!
Alright, it’s the last week before Halloween! We’ve got a lot to do around the house, so my only streaming this week will be on Monday to try and wrap up the two items I have on my backlog. If I don’t get those done on Monday, I might follow up with a short stream on Tuesday and/or Wednesday in order to polish those off, but I really want to take the week to get packing and have things ready to go on Saturday.
We’re going to be literally moving out on Samhain, so like… everything’s got a time table. (Luckily, we’ll have the week to transfer things between places, because we won’t need to be out of here until the 7th, so that’ll give us time to clean and shuttle things without having to do a big, stressful one time move thing.)
I don’t know when I’ll be available again, but I’m hoping to aim for the 16th of November or so, just to give myself time to settle in and get everything set up and make sure it all works.
Happy day, though, today is the final page of Chapter 6 of Various Happenings! Go check it out! I am so happy to finally have gotten here and I hope you’ve enjoyed it thus far.
I’ve already got Chapter 7 outlined and mostly scripted. I’m going to be really working hard in the future to get them out at a more regular pace, which means not going as hard on each individual page. They won’t be as artistically impressive as things have been in the past, but I hope spending more time on just moving the story along and only drawing what matters (or what I want the audience to notice) will pay off with more story more often in the future.
Things haven’t been easy over the last decade, but I promised I’d stick with this until the end, and I fully intend to realize Cass and Eddie’s story (as well as Clara’s adventures), because I feel like the world needs this stuff now more than ever.
There will, however, be a bit of a break naturally. I want to make sure that my expenses are in the black, and that means paying back what I owe my roomies as well as future proofing my accounts from big expenses in the coming year like the hosting in January and my taxes in April.
Thus, I’m going to be doing a big commission push starting in mid-November to get my finances in-line. It will be the primary focus (aside from member voting for clean-ups and such, which I will be doing as a decompression thing) and I will keep everybody in loop with how the studio is doing. This will also include more merch testing and hopefully the release of the first official prints and bookmarks to help with the funds.
Once that’s done, I will be bulling-in on the Sophie comic with Azure, at least to get up to the point where things have been written thus far. I’m very happy with progress so far and I want to see it through. It’s been far too long already.
Once that’s done, we’ll be shifting our focus to The Adventures of Clara Cosmos, and be working through until the end of the first part of Episode 1. I don’t know how many strips that’s going to be, but I’m estimating somewhere around twenty or thirty more before we get to a good place to take a break.
After that, I’ve got something I’m working on as a community project with Azure (as well as Lei Bunsen) and we’ll see how that organizes as we get closer to it being ready to show off. Then we’ll be hitting Various Happenings Chapter 7 as hard as I can.
Of course, there will be a lot of overlap and me dipping into future projects to distract myself from getting too burnt out on whatever I’m currently doing, as usual, so that means that my other settings won’t be left out in the cold, but I’m trying to build a solid plan and solid release order for things. Hopefully getting a bunch of comics ready will enable them to run while I’m working on other things so that there won’t be these massive gaps anymore. That’s the hope at least.
So yeah, things are going to be busy. Busier than usual. But I’m hoping that at the end of it, everything comes out better than it was to begin with, and we can finally leave the shadow of my previous burnouts behind. I’m hoping that we’ll finally be where we can look forward to where we’re going, instead of just trying to catch up to the things that left us behind.
So, thanks for sticking around, everyone. It means a ton to me, and I hope that the stuff that I’ve got coming up in the future will be enjoyable for everyone (and if not everything for everyone, at least everyone will find something to enjoy. That’s my hope.)
You all have a Happy Halloween, and a Blessed Samhain. We head into the dark of the witches’ new year, embracing the turning of the wheel once again, biding our time under the leaves and snow for the day when we can spring up once more.

Howdy boxes of poxes!
Still working on stuff currently! I’ve got a BIG Various Happenings update coming, though it’s not quite finished just yet. I’m trying to even things out and prepare for the Spooky streams towards the end of the month, too, as well as dredge up the funds to cover things for the month and get a little extra going.
It’s just very busy, that's all; nothing really new to report. I’m going to be going over to sign the lease for the new place this week, and I’m absolutely going to see about testing the laminator for the bookmarks, goshdarnit.
There’s just so much going on and it’s hard to keep track of it all, but we’re getting it worked out a little at a time. Having my old backlog done is still really nice, and I’m going to try and avoid getting piled on again. I’ve got a list, and I’m ready to get it taken care of.
The weather is so much nicer now! I’m glad the heat finally broke.

Hello peeps and beeps!
So there’s a lot going on now! Hooboy!
We just found out that we’re going to be moving out of our current place come November 1st! It’s not the first place we looked at for sure, and it’s not the one we would have preferred, but hopefully this will still be a positive change. We’ll be getting things packed and sorted over the month (which thanks to the incident back in August, we won’t have as much to sort through, so that’s… good, I guess?) and then we’ll be trying to move everything out on the week of the 1st to the 7th.
So that’s going to be exciting! The move isn’t far… about thirty minutes maybe, but it will definitely be a change of scenery!
Meanwhile, since it is Spooky Month, I will, in a couple of weeks, be doing the usual doodle streams, which I will announce officially sometime this or next week. While I won’t be able to get entirely out of the red with doodles, I hope to at least pay back my roomies for my back third of the rent that I owe for the last few months. It’s been rough, but we can get back to where we were, I’m sure of it!

For now, my backlog is more or less done, and I’m just working on my current commission. As for now, we’re just trying to catch back up to where we were, but we’re getting there!
This year has frankly sucked, but you can only wallow in sadness and fear for so long before you have to just drag yourself back up and say “fuck it” and get back to things. Don’t let the bastards drag you down, yanno?
Regardless, this week will be the normal stuff, so I’ll see you all next week for another update!

Not a lot to say today! Been working hard on getting my backlog cleared out and getting back up to speed. I want to get rid of the red in my budget and get all the way back to doing projects after this frankly awful summer.
So that’s what I’m doing. I'm also going to be trying to get my passport, do the bookmarks, and get my doctor’s appointment set up. So yanno, all that fun stuff!
Wish me luck, and I’ll be seeing y’all in the streams!

Hey there peeps!
So as you can see, I’ve kind of… stripped things back a bit on the site for the moment. This is temporary, of course. It was getting to the point where the whole thing was becoming a bit of a nest and generally hard to keep up with.
You see, while I’m always making plans and charts and whatnot, after a while it just becomes this mass of two-hundred separate documents, a pile of post-it notes, and a bunch of web pages that are just hard to organize and navigate in general.
I’m writing things down on personal programs, in notepad, on my website, in GDocs, and other places and none of it says the same information!
It also doesn’t help that while my commissions page and other things look lovely, they also easily get out of date or have to have things altered or adjusted due to errors or me changing my mind, which means that all of the work that I poured into making things look good just becomes a huge hassle if I EVER have to change anything.
While I am happy with the aesthetics I’d developed; the site layout was just becoming a problem and things were all over the place and hard to find. On top of that, the site was getting progressively more difficult to navigate on mobile, which while I don’t care to browse the web on mobile myself, as a general rule, I know a lot of people do it as their primary experience nowadays.
So, my plan is to start from square one and expand out from the main page, making sure that things work before they look good. I figure it’s a good time to do it, too, since I’m going to be creating forms for taking commissions again and reorganizing how things are done.
It pains me to tear out all of my work, but since I will be keeping all of the assets, I can repurpose things and try once more to get things looking the way I want them once they’re a bit better organized. It’s also a good chance to archive and clear out a lot of the dummied out graphics and pages from the site itself that have collected over the years.
So, you might have also noticed that I missed last week’s update. The reason for that was… just because I was very tired. That week we got a good chunk of work done over the week, and then on Saturday we were going to go to an apple orchard for some apple picking. Those plans got derailed due to heavy rains, and nothing that we planned to do that day worked out, so we ended up changing things around and going on Sunday instead. That, of course, meant I was simply too tired to do the update on Sunday evening.
Then, when I woke up Monday, I had a sore throat, which developed into drainage and head congestion over the day, and that lasted more or less for the entirety of the week.
I still managed to get a lot of work done, but it wasn’t really as much as I had hoped for because it was very hard to focus on things.
It didn’t help that I had to get a booster shot from the vaccinations I’d gotten during the whole basement flooding incident a month back, so I felt pretty ratty. Still, we managed to muscle through somewhat, but I can tell you that I’m happy to leave this summer behind.
I came into the summer ahead of things, and now I’m about two grand behind where I had hoped to be. I’m not at the point where I’m broke or anything, but I have back contributions to pay and other things I need to save for if I’m going to keep my health decent and projects moving.
So, yanno, don’t forget about the SubscribeStar if you aren’t already a member, and if you have anything that you’d like to toss my way, we also have a tip jar. I’d greatly appreciate it. I don’t like to ask, but at this point I just need to avoid burning myself out and try and recover from all this, so every little bit helps.
I spent a lot of the last week rather depressed and despondent about the way things have been going, so I need a big rally one way or another and that means getting things that are on my plate done and out of the way.
Fortunately, we’re going to be going to look at a new rental place tomorrow, which might be a good bit cheaper than this one and better insulated, besides, so that would be a boon to us.
Tomorrow is also the equinox, so a blessed Mabon to all of you. Beyond is the season of dying light; the days getting shorter and the nights getting colder. It is a time of turning, as we put away the heat and action of the Summer and begin to focus inward.
Hopefully we can harvest what we’ve been tending for the Summer, and begin to store for the long Winter ahead.

Hey there, poxlets!
Last week was better, but still a little rough, so this week we’ll be taking the monthly by-week and trying to get our stuff in a row. I’ve got a lot of financial and medical paperwork to deal with, appointments to set up, and other non-fun things to do, on top of the fact that I was a little ill last week. Nothing severe, thankfully, just some stomach trouble mid-week, but it was still kind of a drag, so I apologize for the stop and go for most of it. This week I’m going to be helping out with Tigre around the house anyway, since Dicy is going to be out of town for a bit, so it’s probably for the best that I stick to paperwork anyway. I might do a stream later in the week, just for fun, but mostly I’m going to be cleaning up all the managerial stuff I need to take care of that’s been laying around.
I’ll see about setting up the commission forms this week so that those are ready, as well as finally getting around to test printings and such. There’s honestly so much to do that I don’t know where to begin half the time, but we’re getting there little by little. I did get a chance to go to a TWRP concert a couple days ago, which was a great time. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a live show, that it was a real breath of fresh air. Hopefully I won’t catch any crud, but we’ll just have to see. The weather has been lovely this week, rather cool, though I’ve heard unseasonably so. Still, I’m not complaining!

Hey there, poxlets!
Last week was better, but still a little rough, so this week we’ll be taking the monthly by-week and trying to get our stuff in a row. I’ve got a lot of financial and medical paperwork to deal with, appointments to set up, and other non-fun things to do, on top of the fact that I was a little ill last week. Nothing severe, thankfully, just some stomach trouble mid-week, but it was still kind of a drag, so I apologize for the stop and go for most of it. This week I’m going to be helping out with Tigre around the house anyway, since Dicy is going to be out of town for a bit, so it’s probably for the best that I stick to paperwork anyway. I might do a stream later in the week, just for fun, but mostly I’m going to be cleaning up all the managerial stuff I need to take care of that’s been laying around.

Hey there, peeps!
I hope you’re all doing alright! Sorry for the late update! Last week was a bit rough since I was still recovering from everything but we did make some progress towards getting everything sorted out!
The site graphics are getting slowly updated and I still need to update the disclaimer page, but we’re getting there. I’m also going to be updating the gallery pages as soon as I post things to make a more definitive Fox Saliant Studios gallery for all of you, so look forward to that.
I’ve got the bookmarks ready to print, I’ve just been so distracted that I have yet to make any serious attempts, so wish me luck on that. I really want this to work out, so maybe we’ll get some test prints this week.
Over on the discord we’ve also introduced forums, so we can organize things a little better and people can post on different art pieces and not derail things between topics! I hope it works out, though we’re still going to be seeing about using the on-site forum as a back-up! That has not changed and I’ll be cross posting there when I get the chance!
I’ll be working on getting the commission forms up and running as well, and seeing about doing that in a more sustainable way. I’m excited, but it’s going to take a lot of work just to maintain things, as well as juggle my health with all the stuff going on. Still, it’s worth it and I’m trying to make positive changes to make things both easier and more entertaining for myself and everyone else.

Weekly Update! (2025-08-24) A Shitty Week

Hey there everyone!
So this week, to put it quite simply, has fucking sucked.
Heavy rains on Monday night caused the storm drain to back up into our basement drainage, flooding the basement. Now, unfortunately, in my town, the storm drain routes to the sewer, so instead of just filling the basement with four inches of rainwater, we got four inches of rainwater mixed with raw sewage instead. Poop and detritus all over our basement! Lovely.
We had to rush to salvage what we could (which, thankfully, most of our sentimental stuff was in boxes with trash bags that worked as waterproof linings, or in waterproof plastic bins that we got just for this reason) and have had to spend the rest of the week trucking things out and into the garage (or garbage) and cleaning up.
Tigre and I both had to get Hepatitis A & B shots, because we haven’t had them (Dicy had to get one a couple years ago because of his work) so I had to do that on Tuesday morning as well.
Unfortunately, compounding with (or possibly the cause of) my phobia of needles, whenever I get shots, my blood pressure drops and I have what I would consider an involuntary panic attack. I get shakey, pale, and just kind of light-headed for a bit, and it takes like five minutes to wear off. But, the fun part is, when I get two shots in row in short order, like I had to this time, I just… straight up pass out and go into convulsions. It’s great! :D
So, not only did I do that this time, I pulled a few muscles in the process, and felt generally garbage while trying to clean up or throw out the shit covered items downstairs. So that’s why there haven't been any streams this week.
Fortunately, we did get some guys in there courtesy of the landowners to clean up and repair stuff on Friday, so the situation, thankfully, by Sunday (today) is mostly resolved. But that’s been my week.
(It also didn’t help that one of my best friends in the world ended up in the hospital at more or less the same time due to an overactive irregular heartbeat, so I was also worried about him, his husband, and his sister that entire Tuesday. Luckily, aside from getting defibbed and undergoing some routine surgery, he’s doing fine now and is recovering at home, so that’s good at least.)
So that’s put things on pause a bit.
A few financial things…
Recently I’ve been doing “show up and get called on” style commissions in Stream, which is fine, and I might still do those occasionally, but I think I’m going to probably go back to an “on-call” system where I take submissions and go one at a time. The thing is, I don’t like the way “show up for stream” stuff feels when we’re not doing SotS, and it makes it harder to vet things. It also creates delays in the steam if someone’s info isn’t ready when their turn comes up; people get upset if they are close to the top of the list but getting sniped repeatedly over several weeks; and if I decide that I’m tired or would rather work on personal projects, people are disappointed, and I don’t like that.
While it may work great for other people, I think being able to pick and choose, plan ahead, and schedule stream days properly is more conducive to my methods for larger work as a whole. I just need to not bite off more than I can chew and only take one or two jobs at a time.
So over the next couple of weeks I’ll be once again whipping up a form for people to put their commission requests in, while also trying to work down the backlog that I’ve currently got.
Sketch on the Spot will remain largely the same, though I’m going to try and make more use of requested and required themes so that I can just vibe and get things done quickly, as well as setting up timers once again so that the turnaround is worth what I’m getting paid for it. It’s no secret that SotS is meant to be cheap and quick for the customer, and I do my best to make something cool in those restrictions, but often times it’s simply not worth what I get for it, so I’m going to have to really hold myself to the restrictions and save my enthusiasm and going overboard for stuff that I think is really special or the clean-ups afterwards.
The situation with Stripe has also derailed things a little, but I’ve already gotten alternatives in play so we’ll see how that goes in the future. I just have to set up all the available payment options and links and invoices as I’ve done in the past. Hopefully having a number of options will help people be able to do things easily, and make it harder for the prudes to whack me if it comes to attention.
I had considered using some form of monopoly money (poxbux) to let people just pay in when they can and then get what they want later, but people were a bit skittish on that, and though I would be absolutely fair and generous with it, it adds another layer of accounting on top of things and that’s just a pain in my ass, so… nah. I would rather people have no worry about that, and not have payments hanging over my head, anyway.
(Also people started saying it sounded kinda crypto-ish, and like… ew. No thanks. Though, I might do poxbux emoji or stickers for the discord. I think that would still be fun.)
The coming weeks are going to be busy, and I don’t know how much time I’m going to have to work on things, but I’m going to be working as much as I can. There are a few events I’ll be going to, and Dicy will be going out of town for work a few days here and there, as well as a bunch of things happening on the weekends. So it’s going to be a lot, but compared to this week, it should all be pleasantly normal or interesting at the very least.
So we’ll do what we can. We’re going to work towards finishing Various Happenings Ch.6, updating the disclaimer on the site (I have the graphics now, I just need to set up the redirect again), put more time into the forums, work on the Sophie comic, get back to Clara, and get that backlog down.
Once all of that’s done… who the fuck knows? I have a bunch of things I want to work on, so we’ll just see what happens.
It’s starting to cool off a bit, and hopefully summer is sliding off into autumn. Things in the world are crazy, but you’ve got to live life on the ground, so that’s what we’re doing.
Me and the family went to the beach today for a bit, and I got to actually sit down and read a book for the first time in a long time, so… that was nice. Hopefully there will be more of that in the future.

The by-week has actually been a success for the most part! I got most of what I wanted to do done, and now it’s back to the drawing.
I’m keeping track of the things I want and need to do, so hopefully we’ll get some of those checkmarks down and push further ahead.
Right now I’m just trying to mind my health and mind my workload. I’ve missed a lot of goals in the last few months, sadly, but that’s okay. I’m just trying to avoid piling more work on so that I can pace myself. I’ve gotten the printer working again (it needed a little cleaning to get the old ink out of the nozzles) and we should have the test prints of the Salipox bookmarks worked up this week! I don’t know if any of them will be usable but we’ll see!
Aside from that, there’s really not much more to say about things. It’s been extremely warm lately, and I hope that the end of the month coming up will usher in some cooler weather!

Phew! Things have been a bit rough, but we’re getting there. Just trying to keep everything together and not burn out, which unfortunately means taking sudden mental health days sometimes. Sorry about missing the Sketch on the Spot on Friday. We’ll go ahead and do one on Tuesday to make up for it, though, so I’ll see you all then!
My birthday is coming up this week (I’ll be 39, yaaaay…), so I’ll be taking Thursday and Friday off! Next week, however, is going to be a by-week. I want to get a bunch of uploads I’ve been neglecting finished, and also start test printing some bookmarks to see how they look and see if any changes need to be made to the printing before I start putting them up for sale!
Hopefully I can get things worked out, and get a few more of the smaller tasks off the docket.
I’ve also turned the registrations back on for the forums. Sadly I was not able to get the manual user addition working, so I will just have to approve people myself, again. So if you’re on the Discord, post the username you registered as in the appropriate channel (no other info is needed) and I will approve you.
If you’re not on the Discord, then feel free to e-mail me at my business email at sali(at)foxsaliant[dot]com with the subject line “FORUM REGISTRATION”, and I’ll go ahead and approve you. I’ll see about checking/purging these once a week or so from now on, since I want to have somewhere people can go with the more common channels starting to become untenable, especially for people in the UK and Australia.

Heya fox friends!
Things are coming along well! Not much to say this week, no big events or anything, just an extra SotS to make up for the dropped one last week. We’re just going to be working at wearing things down as we go, trying to catch up to my backlog, chipping away and keeping up with financial obligations, and getting those boxes checked off to clear out some of the docket.
Things have been piling up and it’s getting to be a lot, so we’re going to pump the breaks as best as we can and clear everything out. I’ve been trying to do that for a few months now, but just maintaining things while also putting out a bit of original stuff or a comic page here and there has been… hard. But we’ll get there. I’m already saving up for next year’s server costs and taxes, so maybe we’ll end up getting ahead anyway.
For now, though, everything’s on the planner and queue, so let’s keep at it!

We’re just going to be working at wearing things down as we go, trying to catch up to my backlog, chipping away and keeping up with financial obligations, and getting those boxes checked off to clear out some of the docket.
Things have been piling up and it’s getting to be a lot, so we’re going to pump the breaks as best as we can and clear everything out. I’ve been trying to do that for a few months now, but just maintaining things while also putting out a bit of original stuff or a comic page here and there has been… hard. But we’ll get there. I’m already saving up for next year’s server costs and taxes, so maybe we’ll end up getting ahead anyway.
For now, though, everything’s on the planner and queue, so let’s keep at it!

Heyo peeps!
So, the last couple of weeks have been a lot, but we’re doing really well! We’ve been hitting the commissions hard and trying to catch up on our financial obligations, which has been, for the most part, actually been working out!
This next week we’re going to be running a week of Sketch on the Spot MWF to try and get some stuff on the lower end for people, and then the following week we’ll be seeing about finishing out the backlog and trying to get a fresh batch going.
We got a new Various Happenings this week, and we’re almost at the end of the chapter. Just one more page and a carpet page to wrap it up, then we’ll be focusing on getting the prep work for the next chapter going, as well as finishing up some side projects and leaning in on The Adventures of Clara Cosmos.
Next week we’ll see about starting the work to print up the bookmarks and see how that goes. There will obviously be some trial and error, and I don’t know when physical items will be available just yet, but I’m hoping by the end of the summer at least.
Slowly but surely, all the things on the list are being worn down, and if I’m able to get ahead enough, I might even be able to afford a vacation before the end of the summer. While last month hurt, it didn’t knock me back as far as I might have worried that it would, so if we keep pushing forward, we can make up for lost ground and actually make progress.
That’s what I’m hoping anyway. I know these updates can get kind of monotonous because it’s the same facegrinding week after week, but hopefully things will start to give way, and we’ll take off like a rocket with all the momentum we’ve built up!

Hey peeps!
Well, things are a little tough right now but we’ll make due.
Last month, frankly, sucked quite badly, and the first week of the month was rather rough. We’re a bit low on funds overall and things are kind of tight, especially with a lot of medical upkeep and other such expenses happening all at once.
But regardless, we’ll be doing our best to make good on things. I’m going to be taking more commissions over the coming week and be trying to work down the ones I’ve got, as hard as I can, even on non-stream days. In addition, next week I’ll be running SotS all week, so people who haven’t had a chance to get anything, and can’t afford anything big, can get in on things. Hopefully everyone will enjoy that.
In addition, I went ahead and updated the forum’s software to the latest version, and I closed registrations to stem the flow of bots like I said I would. By the Moon, there were so many freakin’ bots, let me tell you!
So, if you tried to register sometime in the last few months and it never took, that’s why; because you got lost in a sea of spambots. I’ll be making a form for that in the future so that I can add people manually. If you have me on Discord, or if you fill out the form (or e-mail me at my contact e-mail) then I’ll go ahead and make an account for you.
I’m going to try and be more present on the forum and start to cultivate that. I know there have been some posts recently, and I’ll reply to them as soon as my social batteries are charged up enough to do so. I need to get back to updating the gallery on the site and such as well. There’s just always so much to do and not enough me to do it.
I’ve almost got another page of Various Happenings done, I’ve just been so fried this weekend that I haven’t finished the last few things on it that I need to, but I’ll try and have that up on Tuesday.
I’m also going to start print testing bookmarks and see how those come out. Wish me luck, and I’ll keep you guys posted on those.

Weekly Update! (2025-06-29) - Under the Weight

Hello everyone!
So things have been a bit much the last few weeks, and will be for another week or so until at least after the holiday.
I’m quite tired, honestly, and frankly exhausted mentally, but things are still moving forward regardless. I got to see the dentist last week, and I dealt with my state insurance paperwork, finally. So that’s good. I’ve got a list of things I need to get done, I just have to make some phone calls about my dentistry, and wait for the approval or rejection letter from my state to see about setting up a doctor’s appointment. But the ball’s rolling on that.
As far as Fox Saliant Studios goes, things have been lagging behind a bit, because, well, I’m the bottleneck and I can only manage so much throughput. I apologize for that. Still, we’ll have an update for Various Happenings either tonight or tomorrow (it’s ready to go, I just have to upload it to the site) and there’s a lot of work to be done on the projects in general.
The roomies want me to go ahead with the bookmarks as soon as possible, so we’ll be shifting those up in the queue so we can get that started in the next couple of weeks. I have a bit of commission backlog, too, that needs to be sorted out, and a lot of uploads to do.
I think for the next few months, I’m going to focus on just… getting everything squared away. The juggling is just getting a bit too intense for my liking, and I frankly have far too many tasks to keep up with, so we’re not going to be making any new plans until everything is worked down.
Again, I’m sorry for the delays and constant pleas for patience. I’m doing my best, it’s just that life has a tendency to get in the way. Hopefully, with a little bit more focus on my health and real life concerns, I’ll be in a better place to get everything straightened out in the near future. I want to focus on improving the quality of my work time, not just working more.
If you have sent me an email, PM, or any other form of communication and I simply haven’t responded at all, it’s because I’ve been too overwhelmed to socialize, or haven’t been eager to take on new work. It’s not a personal slight, I simply have not had the energy to manage things. That’s on me.
Let’s try and condense things down, get them cut down to size. This week’s a by-week, so I’m going to be getting things taken care of behind the scenes. Wish me luck!
The heatwave has somewhat abated, though we’re still touching the 90s now and again. Heading into what’s supposed to be the warmest part of the year, I can only hope things will be gentle, and not the muggy mess that we had a few weeks ago.
Let’s hope it at least stays that way…

Sorry for the late weekly, I’ve just been kind of out of it today and been mostly hanging out and playing games. Been a tiring week, though not from any particular emergency, or anything, I’m just kind of worn out lately.
Did some adulting and set up a dentist appointment on Thursday, though that’s just going to be an exam and consultation, so not anything particularly crazy or invasive. We’re just going to have a look taken and see what I need to have done to improve things for myself.
I flubbed the paperwork on my state insurance (I read the wrong date so I missed the deadline) so I’m going to call on Tuesday to get some more information and see what I can do about that to maintain my benefits. I also have to set up an appointment with a doctor at some point soon.
Still, because of all this, and everything earlier in the month, things are running behind. Going to have to take some new jobs and Chapter 6 might not get finished by the end of the month as I’d hoped. I have a page ready to go now, actually, but it needs just a little more something before I can post it. That will be soon, I hope. We’re also getting close on the backlog, but it’s not quite where I’d hoped we’d be, so we’ll just have to see how things work out over the next couple of weeks.
Nothing super special, nothing terribly scary, just… things not quite getting where I want them to be, as usual. But we are close.
I’ve also wanted to try something different with the forum because, well, it’s been flooded by spambots trying to register accounts and I’ve been unable to tell real accounts from fake accounts. Every time I look there’s five hundred new bogus registrations with stolen business e-mails. Additionally I cannot access my admin panel because either an update caused something in the code to change, or my hosting service decided to break something. I’m not sure which, but I’ve only found out about it recently and I’m doing my best to fix it. Once I’m able to, I’m going to close registrations and open a form to fill out for those of you who are real people who actually want to use a forum. I’m sorry for the kind of mess that it’s been so far. I’d heard spam was bad, but I didn’t think it’d be this bad on a single link forum with no reach. If I can’t improve things, I might shut it down and try to build community in some other way. We’ll see what happens, though.
Still, everything’s moving along, more or less.
Oh! Randomly, a bat ended up in our house! That was interesting. I don’t know how it got in, but it was mid-morning and it was pretty sleepy, so we used a box and some spare cardboard to move him outside and get him back into the air, and off he went. It wasn’t bad; he was just mostly hanging out up on the wall and just kinda chilling. He didn’t seem disoriented or anything, just sleeping, and no one actually came in contact with him so all and all, everything worked out. It was just a weird little bit of excitement.
Litha has come and the days will soon begin to shorten, but the heat is going to be here for a bit, I imagine. Stay cool, fox friends. Until next time!

Things are finally starting to settle back to normal. Tigre’s on the mend and finally able to get to sleep, and while my tooth problems haven’t subsided completely, being able to have normal days has helped greatly.
The goals are still set: gonna try and finish Ch. 6 of VH by the end of June, wrap up my current commission queue, and see what else we can get done in the meantime on the other projects. I’m almost caught up with most of my commissions and I think I can wrap at least a few of them up in the next week or so. There’s one or two that are more involved, but we’ll see what happens!
Not a lot to report. Things are going better. I hope y’all are doing better, too. It’s nice to see people standing with and supporting one another in this trying time. I do what I can from where I’m at but maybe one day if things work out for the better, I’ll be able to spread it around a bit.

Well this week was very rough. Tigre was still (and is still) sick with her stomach issues so juggling things between work and looking after her and the bean has been somewhat difficult. I wasn’t able to stream Friday for that reason (plus she had to go back to the doctor for them to check on her) and things have been rather hard to deal with for her, so I’m trying to do my best to help out.
Still, things are proceeding at pace. Got a large commission done last week and though I wasn’t able to really work on projects, things will continue to move forward.
I’ve got a lot of plans and little goals to work on, so hopefully I can manage a constant stream of stuff for y’all to enjoy as I try and secure things financially.
Otherwise, I don’t really have much else to say. Next Sunday is Father’s Day, so if that’s relevant to you, don’t forget it. Otherwise, I hope you’re all enjoying this ease into summer.

Hey peeps, beeps, and bleeps!
This week has been pretty up and down, but somewhat rough overall. I’m just glad that everything’s better than it could have been.
So Memorial Day was pretty normal, with a hang-out stream and some other things. Then, Tuesday we went to the zoo, the lot of us, and had a pretty good time! There were a lot of free roaming birds (we saw geese, guinea fowl, and a couple large peacocks) and we saw some awesome seals and bears, along with some giraffes. We didn’t get to see everything, because the little one didn’t have that much patience, but it was still a nice time and the weather was lovely.
Wednesday I started to have a bit of a toothache come back that’s been lingering since last week. My teeth have been a bit bothersome lately due to me breaking one a while back, and some sinus issues have been causing a rather chronic bit of nerve pain there. It hasn’t been the worst it’s ever been (I don’t think I have enough teeth anymore for that), but still kind of tiring overall. Still, even so, commission progress was pretty good! Got some new stuff started and worked on the backlog a bit! Thanks to everyone for joining me for SotS on Friday, too!
Unfortunately, Tigre ended up getting food poisoning, which has been dogging her the entire latter half of the week off and on. She had to go to the hospital on Friday night, but they ruled out anything more serious, so that’s good at least (no pancreas, liver, or gallbladder issues or anything like that.) She’s still having a hard time, though, but hopefully it’ll work itself out with plenty of fluids and rest.
Since Dicy’s going to be getting home late the next couple of weeks, and Tigre’s sick, I’ll probably have to be extra attentive with the bean. I don’t know how that will affect my work, if it does at all, but I’ll just have to be extra flexible in case something comes up or things get derailed a bit.
Speaking of being flexible, I’d originally intended on working out a set of 8 bookmarks to print out and sell, but because it’s taken so long to organize things and I don’t know how much work or trial and error is going to be involved, I’m going to scale that back to offering two new bookmarks at a time just to dip my toes in the water. The two first ones will be Salifox and La Spoops, with the Fox Saliant Studios logo tiled on the back. I’ll finalize them and see how they look, and then we’ll start printing out the physicals and cutting them out and seeing if we need to laminate them or not.
The other six planned designs will come out two at a time, save for the Clara Cosmos and Spooky Static ones, which will each have their own set (unless I can think of a second design for them.) So we’ll cut these down into more bite size chunks as I experiment with the printer and creating physical items.
Was decompressing a bit from the project I was talking about last week, and also making sure financials were okay for the month. I want to nail down the end of Ch. 6 for Various Happenings now, and see about wrapping up the Sophie CV comic with Azure (or at least getting to a spot where she can continue with the writing.)
Still, things are continuing to get more stable and I’m actually starting to get ahead on financial stuff, so we’ll see if it keeps up, which will give me more breathing room to lean in on projects without tiring myself out.
Nothing particularly strange is coming up, though like I said, I might need to switch the schedule around on short notice, so keep a watch out in the Discord if you’re hunting for streams. Otherwise, I’ll see you all next week! Take care of yourselves and let’s start easing towards summer! (I feel like our spring got robbed this year, but it is what it is.)

Hey peeps, beeps, and bleeps!
This week has been pretty up and down, but somewhat rough overall. I’m just glad that everything’s better than it could have been.
So Memorial Day was pretty normal, with a hang-out stream and some other things. Then, Tuesday we went to the zoo, the lot of us, and had a pretty good time! There were a lot of free roaming birds (we saw geese, guinea fowl, and a couple large peacocks) and we saw some awesome seals and bears, along with some giraffes. We didn’t get to see everything, because the little one didn’t have that much patience, but it was still a nice time and the weather was lovely.
Wednesday I started to have a bit of a toothache come back that’s been lingering since last week. My teeth have been a bit bothersome lately due to me breaking one a while back, and some sinus issues have been causing a rather chronic bit of nerve pain there. It hasn’t been the worst it’s ever been (I don’t think I have enough teeth anymore for that), but still kind of tiring overall. Still, even so, commission progress was pretty good! Got some new stuff started and worked on the backlog a bit! Thanks to everyone for joining me for SotS on Friday, too!
Unfortunately, Tigre ended up getting food poisoning, which has been dogging her the entire latter half of the week off and on. She had to go to the hospital on Friday night, but they ruled out anything more serious, so that’s good at least (no pancreas, liver, or gallbladder issues or anything like that.) She’s still having a hard time, though, but hopefully it’ll work itself out with plenty of fluids and rest.
Since Dicy’s going to be getting home late the next couple of weeks, and Tigre’s sick, I’ll probably have to be extra attentive with the bean. I don’t know how that will affect my work, if it does at all, but I’ll just have to be extra flexible in case something comes up or things get derailed a bit.

Heya peeps! Last week was a bit intense. I did manage to get a lot of project work done in the first half of the week, though I started getting a bit ill in the latter half of the week due to a sinus infection and some related tooth issues (probably due to me not sleeping as I should, or taking care of myself, and the constant weather fluctuations lately) and that kind of slowed me down a bit.
Still, I’m rather happy with the progress that I made. I hope when I’m able to show this off, finally, people really enjoy it. Right now we’ve gotten it into a functional state, but it still needs a lot of work, so it’ll be a while before we’re ready to show it off. The others who are working on it along with me are doing a great job, though, and with their help, I’m hoping that I’ll have something to show off soon.
In the meantime, we’ll be getting back to the comics and fixing up the site. I got a little bit of work done on the commission page and added a couple of things to the discount bin as well this week.
This coming week will be pretty normal, honestly. Get some more comic work done, clean out the backlog a bit, maybe take one or two new jobs, small ones. It’s getting towards the end of the month, so if I’m not feeling ratty on Friday, we might do a Sketch on the Spot, just for funzies. If things continue to at least go at a steady pace, then I might be able to get ahead in the next month or so, which would be lovely.
We can only hope!

The last couple of weeks have been fairly intense, not going to lie.
(CW: Medical Issues/Descriptions below!)
Last week, one of my cats who has been having litter box issues (just peeing everywhere except the box) began peeing blood. So my roommate rushed her to an urgent care vet clinic, and she got some x-rays, which showed that she apparently had a bladder stone that was about the size of my thumbnail, and had gotten a serious urinary tract infection from it since it was too large to break down.
While not an uncommon or untreatable situation, this cast her recent misbehavior in a new light, certainly. Still, we had her set up for the next day for it to be removed and she went into surgery and spent the night at the vet before coming back home. She’s doing well now, and much happier already, which is really good to see. It’s been a bit, and I’d just assumed she’d gotten tired of her litter or the other cats were making it hard for her, but she is definitely a lot more affectionate and better behaved now, so I can only imagine the kind of discomfort and pain she was in.
The whole thing cost us about $3K, which isn’t great, but we were able to soak the cost. I’m just glad she’s feeling better.
So that was the week before last, and that ordeal was why I didn’t have a weekly update last week. This last week, things actually went pretty well, though! I can hardly remember it, to be honest, but things are moving along! My new rotational means of organizing streams is actually working out, my backlog is almost worked down again (which I’m rather happy about,) and work on projects is going at pace! I should be covered for this month, fairly soon, financially, and if I’m lucky, I can actually start to get ahead on things and save money.
Despite everything, I’m kicking butt, which I’m very happy about.
Now this coming week, I’m going to have to take a by-week to help Tigre watch the little one while Dicy goes out of town, because she’s been very harried by everything lately, and she needs a break, and he won’t be home until Friday. So no streams for me, but I’ll do my best to keep up the project work in-between things.
I’ve got some exciting stuff coming down the pipeline, so I hope everyone is going to enjoy it!
All of the pages but one are in production for the end of Chapter 6 of Various Happenings, and I’m hoping to wrap that up towards the middle of June. Chapter 7 is already outlined and I’m going to be trying some new stuff with it to really get the production moving and make it a more consistent experience in the future. It’ll be different, but I’m hoping that everyone will enjoy just having more new Various Happenings.
I’m also currently hard at work on another project which is nearing its prototype phase, that I’m very eager to share once I’m able (it’s a resurrection of an old project that fell by the wayside, that I’ve been working on in fits and starts for the last six years or so and I’m super stoked to see it actually moving forward again.)
ClaCos is absolutely still in the cards, of course, and I appreciate the patience of those of you who are eager to see Clara’s adventures really get going. I can’t wait to focus that down, so I can really get that moving and out of its nascent phase; I’ve just been in a weird place with it, and I’ve got to find the groove again to really get the art to flow. But we’ll get there.
Azure and I’s naughty comic collab is also moving again, and I’m going to try and get that knocked out fairly soon, as it’s one of the things that I can just put a pin in once it’s done. I’ve also got other FSS site stuff with Azure and Nori that I want to get a move on with, as well; so look forward to that.
I stalled out with merch, but we’re gonna get that set up soon enough. It’s in my docket, and there’s a bunch of other stuff that I’m juggling right now, so it’s a lot to manage, but the more that gets checked off, the easier it becomes to check off other things. It’s all about momentum.

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing last week, I was just way too busy, but I hope you all had a wonderful Beltane and that spring has finally arrived for everyone at this point!
We have a new Various Happenings this week, so go check that out! It's been a bit, but things are finally straightening out to where I can absolutely start being a little more proactive in my projects and not get piled on as much as I have been in the past. It'll probably be a couple more months before things really start to iron out and I work at a good clip, but we'll see just how it goes. I have a project with Azure and some side things I want to do, as well as get back to Clara when I feel better connected to that story. It's been a bit rough trying to get situated with it, but it's definitely something I really want to do.
Still, all and all, now that I've recovered from doing my taxes, and I'm not as perpetually sick, I should be able to give myself the breathing room I need to really dig back in.
So wish me luck! Gonna try and beat down my backlog this week so I can do some new jobs next week and work on those comics.

Weekly Update! (2025-04-20) - Sort and Box

Hey there peeps! Well, I didn't get done as much as I'd like to, but I did still make a lot of progress and almost all the Q1 pieces are up on my online galleries now! Once I'm done with that entirely and have uploaded everything for April, that'll be another task that's finally complete!
This week, I'll be focusing on making rent, and getting as many things completed as I can, as well as getting the next VH comic done. It's a lot, but if I knuckle down and don't get distracted by random whims, I know I can do it. My goal, in addition to the comic, is capping out three commissions this week, and getting the April clean-up votes taken care of.
I'm slowly getting organized, so as things continue to get cleaned up, hopefully it'll be easier to do everything in the future. Thanks again to all of you for sticking with me and helping me be able to do what I need to do. n.n

Hey everyone! Sorry about crashing out this last week. I was apparently a lot sicker than I realized and I ended up having to sleep most of the latter half of the week off. I did take my sick days officially, so I am keeping track of that and did end up giving myself some time off. That's also why this weekly is a tad late. Still, thank you to everyone who checked in on me; I know I wasn't very responsive, but I do appreciate it all nonetheless.
To that end, instead of next week, I'm going to be taking my by-week this week so that I can keep recovering as I get better (which I have been over the weekend, thankfully) and get some of the admin stuff I've had laying around taken care of. Hopefully this means I can finish my uploads up to the current month, as well get the last few fixes done on the commission page.
Once my financials are taken care of for the month, and most of my commission work has been caught up on, I'll be able to focus things down. Fortunately, all of my commissions right now are in progress, and most of the linework is finished or just needs cleaned up, so things should get taken care of in fairly short order once I'm able to. I'm looking forward to it, honestly, and while things have been lagging a bit for various reasons, I really feel like we're just about caught up. It's almost surreal, honestly.
I know I'm always hopeful and things rarely work out for me the way I hope, so my promises always get fudged somewhat... especially recently because times are tough and I'm only one pox, but even so, we're still slinking towards things being better, regardless of what the world has to say about it.
So, no streams this week, I'm going to try and get things tightened up on the site and get this pictures uploaded. Also try and get my passport started at some point! Paperwork, ho!
Comics are still on the docket, of course. Some of them are ready for linework, so we'll see what I have time for this week.
It's finally starting to warm up a bit, too... this winter has had a long tail, and it's good to see spring finally getting started.

Hey there mine fine friends! This week has been a bit of a doozy. I was rather out of it last weekend (well, the whole week, really) due to Dicy's new schedule, so I just didn't have it in me to finalize the update, and I didn't want to put up anything on April Fool's Day, so I decided to just skip the update for the week. Sorry about that, but we're here now!
I also had to take Wednesday off due to both feeling rather ill and there were some rather aggrivating issues with the car as well, so that was a lot of fun.
But, thanks to my customers and the make-up stream on Thursday, I'll be able to file and pay my taxes this week, and with a few more jobs, I'll have this month's household contribution in hand... relatively early in the month! Hopefully that'll give me time to get these commissions out of the way and to work down all of the FSS projects that I've been having to juggle.
Posting is getting there, and it'll only be a matter of time before we catch up finally! I'm hoping to make a big dent in it this week!
Still feeling a little under the weather, but I'm starting to adjust and I'm doing my best to try and take care of myself. Spring will happen... eventually? We'll see. But anyway, I'll see you all next week!

Hey there mine fine friends! This week has been a bit of a doozy. I was rather out of it last weekend (well, the whole week, really) due to Dicy's new schedule, so I just didn't have it in me to finalize the update, and I didn't want to put up anything on April Fool's Day, so I decided to just skip the update for the week. Sorry about that, but we're here now!
I also had to take Wednesday off due to both feeling rather ill and there were some rather aggrivating issues with the car as well, so that was a lot of fun.
But, thanks to my customers and the make-up stream on Thursday, I'll be able to file and pay my taxes this week, and with a few more jobs, I'll have this month's household contribution in hand... relatively early in the month! Hopefully that'll give me time to get these commissions out of the way and to work down all of the FSS projects that I've been having to juggle.
