Posted 12 years agoRecently been having issues with my hand. Went to a doctor yesterday, and they said I have tendonitis.
They gave me a brace thats pretty bulky that makes me unable to bend my wrist and thumb, so drawing is a challenge. I may attempt, but don't expect too much art for awhile from me, its gotta get all healed up.
I'm supposed to go back 3 weeks from now, and we'll see how it is then ;u;

Advice on owed commissions? (lost contact, etc?)
Posted 12 years agoI've been thinking about this a bit and still dont know for sure what to do. I'm going to be very vague here, just to get the idea across.
All of these are from at least a year ago. I have messaged each at least once about what they owe me (after some time of the original agreements).
Basically, I've lost contact with all 3, in a way. I'm considering posting on Artist_Beware for lost contact, at the very least.
The first artist actually hasn't posted in a year or so. Submissions, or journals. I noted them a month or two ago, no reply and the note hasn't been read. I ordered my commission about 4 months before they stopped posting.
The second recently posted a journal saying that they're moving accounts, with no info about the new account. I asked what their new account name would be, with no reply. I'm not sure how to get a hold of them..
The last has been having issues IRL, which is completely understandable. But it seems as though they keep opening for new commissions, and all my sent notes have been read without replies. They haven't been active the past month or so, from what I'm aware of. I don't really want to message them asking for a refund, as I know they may need money for RL issues... ;_; But I feel pretty ignored.
I'm just wondering, should I go to A_B for these issues? I was thinking I could probably post at least 2 of them in the same "Lost Contact" post..?

Another Problem (Wacom Tablet, cant uninstall)
Posted 12 years agoAs for the last problem, I got it fixed to an extent.
I was moving computers (because I need to get this one sent in to be fixed anyways), and I realized I could just copy/paste the bookmarks.bak file and do what I needed to do on the other computer, since it didnt have the corrupt file keeping me from what I needed.
But onto this problem ;u;
I was moving computers, so first thing I do is install my tablet on the other computer.
Didn't work.
I thought surely I don't have other tablet drivers on here.. But, of course I did.
Pretty much my issue is that I have a "Wacom Tablet" program on my other computer.
I tried uninstalling, and it doesn't do anything. Just loads for a second and then nothing.
I looked in my task manager, and turns out "Wacom Tablet" is running. I can close all 3-4 things of it, but the last one I "dont have access to do that."
It doesn't have the info like the rest do either, its blank in places (User and Description)

Lost my bookmarks on Google Chrome (help?)

(sorry in advance about any typos, I'm getting pretty tired.)
Its not a super super huge deal, but I'd really prefer to get my bookmarks back. I had important stuff saved. ;u;
Earlier I was a derp and probably had too many things open at once. My computer wasn't really liking it, and so I closed most things and then decided I'd probably have to restart. I bookmarked some things that I was going to need later and restarted.
When I restarted and pulled Google Chrome up again, all my bookmarks were gone.
I asked a friend for help who said to pretty much restore the bookmarks file in the Chrome folder to a previous date. I did and restarted. No luck.
He suggested a system restore, but another friend said it only affects settings really, not folders and that it probably wouldn't help? (keep in mind I am totally clueless about computers so I dont even know.)
At this point I did have the System Restore thing open, with the most recent date being like 8 hours ago, which was great.
But to be on the safe side, I decided to try other things first. I tried to copy/paste the new bookmarks file (for backup) so I could then delete it.
Turns out its corrupted. I tried deleting it without backup, and it said it was in use.
Closed EVERYTHING Google Chrome related and again, still in use.
Tried copy/pasting the Default folder (the folder the bookmark file is in) to maybe replace it with a fixed bookmark file. Of course, it wouldn't let me copy/paste the corrupted file along with it which was fine. But then I couldn't delete the Default folder to replace it. So no go there.
Then I tried uninstalling Google Chrome. Figured well, it didn't get rid of these files when I uninstalled and thats what I need gone (or at least the corrupt file..). So I tried deleting the whole Chrome folder. Again, said it was in use, even after I uninstalled Google Chrome??? I dont think I restarted, maybe I needed to?

Discounted Commissions, Egg Adopts, YCHs (need opinions!)

So I'm finally getting back into the swing of things, though I haven't posted anything yet.
Been working on some adopts that I should be getting posted up in the next few days? c:
The first thing I was thinking about was possibly doing egg adopts.
Do you guys think I should, and if so, how should I do them?
I was planning on maybe posting the eggs, and asking the buyer for gender/species.
Also probably giving options like:
On adopt base: $__
Adopt base front/back: $__
Custom full body view: $__
Custom full body front/back: $__
That type of thing? Though I'm not sure if that's what I should offer (I kind of only want 2 or so choices in style I guess) and I'm not sure of the prices yet.
Also, perhaps, maybe I could do egg adopts that are premade?
Are those like, a thing that works alright, or..? ;u;
I'd totally feel bad if whoever buys it doesn't like what comes out (I'd probably make it obvious what species, gender could probably be changed to their liking still, depending..)
If you guys have any other ideas for these, or adopts in general, totally let me know if you're cool with doing so!
Along with that, I was thinking maybe of some discount commissions.
First of all, I'd definitely want to offer discounted commissions for adopts that I've made (perhaps to a certain extent, maybe?? I dont know)
I'm not sure of how much the discount would be, if you guys have an opinion on that itd be great (I obviously dont wanna chuck off half the price, but yknow)
I'd also like to do a type of discount themed-ish commission?
For example, I've been wanting to draw slime girls lately.
So perhaps me posting a journal for certain types of commissions __% off if you commissions a slime girl (or boy really, for future note)
It'd probably would just be a random journal thing that pops up depending on my mood
Does that sound like a good idea? o:
I think the last thing is maybe doing some more YCHs
Would you guys be okay with these? I know I've heard some flack for them in certain cases.
Probably depends on the pose and what not if I auction them.
Gonna be just your average YCHs with whatever pose I can come up with
Though I was thinking maybe doing YCHs with characters like Krystal, Isabelle, and MLPs
(these ones would most likely be auctioned. If you have any ideas for any other anthro characters that are kind of like that that I could put in, let me know if you want!)
And I think that's it? Just some things I've been thinking about for a few days c:
