As many of you know, I keep track of the artists in progress of drawing me in a journal along with Original Commission/Raffle Links and most recent updates:

Many of the updates are through notes, so they will be dead links to anyone other than me, but it helps me to keep track.

I've made it a habit to contact artists for updates at least every month and at most every couple weeks. I usually grant plenty of time and don't feel that the language I use is harsh at all. Simply reminders with lots of smiles and questions on art updates.

Many of the artist have apologized for the time it's taken - and as I've told them, I'm a patient pup :3 I just like to know that I haven't been forgotten about. ^_^ I always tell them that RL comes before art, especially for freebie raffles. Even the paid commissions on that list I'm patient with.

I've even had artist tell me "thank you" and I should contact them more often to remind them of the work they need to do.

HOWEVER, and I do not plan to call out any artists by name, there have been some artists who have gotten defensive and accused me of being rude by simply asking for an update. Is it bad manners for me to check up on my art every few weeks? Should I wait longer?

I don't feel it's out of line to ask "How's it coming along? ^_^". If I were asking every DAY -THAT- would be a problem, but I'm not.

I'm looking for feedback here, what do you all think? Am I out of line? Should I stop talking to artists completely and just expect art to be done "eventually?" Any suggestions or notes for me?

(I will NOT be releasing the names and actions of specific artists, nor will I be releasing conversations with them)

It SHOCKS me that I can't find a single IRL furry Thriller version. I see plenty of SL video captures with dance balls, but not ONE group of Fursuiters IRL emulating the Thriller Music Video. Sure, sure... there's the Furfright 2011 Thriller Flashmob video - but that's just one dance, not the whole video. This weekend my parents are in town and staying at the house. In the first few hours they've changed everything around, moved and installing furniture, introduce 3 additional dogs to the house, putting up gates inside the house to separate the dogs, flipping switches that shouldn't be flipped so lights dont work. It's too much change! My phobias are coming out, I feel really stressed! It feels like the house is 10 times smaller than a studio apartment. I can't move, I can't sit, I'm sweating!

The first thing they did when they came in yesterday was critique my environment, "It's way too hot in here" >.<

I don't feel welcome in my own home!
