as usual too, i am still crocheting! just not really making anything new lately, it's a lot of blanket making
but! some interesting news
so next week i'll be vendoring at the beach fair we've been to before, but so far we have a spot for one day instead of the whole weekend like before. there is the chance someone will cancel last minute and we end up getting both days, but...who knows, for now i'm treating the event as a one day thing
however! literally a friend of a friend of a family member contacted us who is in charge or helps out at another fair/event similar to the ones we've been to and they wanted to know if we'd be interested in vendoring there in june...so of course we said yes dkjgd
that one for sure is a one day thing, it's overall a one day event, and it's not TOO far, i think technically the beach fair is a bit further out than this one
usually i'd said no to going to another event so soon, especially not even/barely a month later, but i have a couple reasons why i'm ok with it this time;
we've gone to the beach fair a couple other times and managed to have a spot for both days, but since (so far) we can only get one day, this other event will help me in selling more stuff
the other reason is because i've been thinking about changing up my stock for these events, but in order to change things up, i want to get rid of as much as possible of what i already have. so having another event so soon will give me the chance to get rid of more stock and make space for new things i want to add in
what new things am i adding in?....i'm still figuring that out dkjfgd
i could go a couple ways with it, one of my plans was to make ALL of the pokemon starters, but it's a lot that i haven't made yet and some of the designs are a TAD complicated, plus me being a color perfectionist, i'm having a hard time finding the right shades for some of them (why is green such a hard color to work with)
my other plan was to do my basic animals, i've made patterns for most of the animals on my list, so i'd only have to figure out a few more. and them being basic patterns is a plus, i'm MAKING them with the purpose of them being quick and easy
soooo as much as i want to have my stock be more pokemon, pokemon can be complicated, my basic animal series (that i have also dubbed my "little buddies collection") is looking to be much better to deal with lol
plus the fact i think i'd actually sell more of the basic animals than pokemon. as much as kids have come to my table and going "PIKACHU!!", there are a lot of adults that look at my stuff as well, parents and grandparents that have no clue what they're looking at...and it's usually those parents or grandparents buying things, so....yeh
but it's not like i'm getting rid of pokemon completely, i'll still have pikachus, rowlets, and charmanders, those are my best sellers. i'll have one or two of the other pokemon, just not 5 total as i've done up to this point
also the smaller fact that i think my pokemon are worth at least a little more than i'm selling them at fairs but people going to these things expect cheap stuff, so by going basic and cute it might be better in the long run
ANYWAY, YOU GET MY POINT

TLDR; planning on going to another surprise fair event barely a month after the beach fair, redoing some of my stock to be more fair friendly and stuff

sorry i haven't been too active here, i'm still crocheting away but it's remaking older things as stock for fairs and such, etc etc
i plan to do some cleaning in my gallery once i have enough free time (like probably later tonight honestly)

plus i've been busy with other stuff *coughs* videogamesmostlypokemon, but still
i do plan to do some fairs next year, but don't have solid plans yet as to when and what locations (the christmas boutique for sure, but before then i'd like to go to at least one other place)
i'm sorry my crocheting has hit a huge rut and has been stuck for quite some time, but there's only so much i can do about that
hope everyone ends the year well!

the beach fair is over! was a vendor over the weekend and now i'm super beat X-x
but i did well! so i'm tired happy...happy tired :D

since i sold some stuff, i need to remake some stuff! the xmas boutique is happening december 10th, and i need to replenish everything by then
sooo probably back to the inactivity phase around here, sorry!
there is ONE new thing i want to make, just not sure when i'm going to make it....sometime soon though! whenever i feel up to it probably, it is going to be a little of a challenge, but i really want to do it
so uh
there you go! slight/not-so-slight inactivity again but i will be crocheting away to replenish my stock to prepare for the next event!

i'm slowly trying to get back into working on stuff again, though my main motivation right now is the beach fair coming up in about a month and i'm making some things for it last minute
so there's that lol, but hey, it helps
i'm gunna crank out a few things that are kinda new, and then slowly work on some blanket ideas i had before
i still don't exactly have any ideas for new things to make, unfortunately, so the updates to my gallery probably won't be much right now
there's something i want to experiment with at some point, but i doubt it'll be ready by the time of the beach fair, which is fine, i'll just hold onto it until the xmas boutique
plus we have no guarantee until very late that we'll even be at the beach fair again, but i really hope we make it, and i'd like to go both days again (even if i'm in zombie mode the whole time lol)
so uh
that's it really, after a good break i'm doing what i can to get back into working and i hope to be working on blankets sometime soon

i've had very low motivation and inspiration to work on things anyway
for a number of reasons and for unknown reasons? i'm getting paranoid about how little room i have to put new things, so if i do have any idea on stuff to make, i then think "wait, i have nowhere to put it, then why should i make it"
and even then my general self esteem about my work has been down? like i don't think whatever i think of will come out as nicely as i hope it will? sooo that doesn't help either
i've pretty much finished making stock for whichever next fair we're going to, whether it's the beach again or just the boutique later in the year, so
there's still ONE more blanket for the set i've started long ago, i still need to finish that and i have several squares i can make into blankets and i've come up with some ideas on making pretty blankets
.....so i've been in more of a blanket mood than an amigurumi mood lately too lol
but of COURSE summer has just officially started and working on a blanket now is the worst idea with how warm it is

the fair is over! i did pretty well and sold a good amount, i was sold out of rowlets on the first day!
i need to check my stock to figure out what i have to make to make it full again, but that whole process of counting and remaking everything will take some time
we might, MIGHT, do another fair before the boutique, or at least go back to this one at a later date, but i haven't decided yet, i'm too tired right now lmao
other than that, i still don't have too many ideas for new things to make, but there's a few small things i've been mulling over

i didn't end up going to the second craft fair for a few reasons, SO
i do have some stock left, have a lot of pokemon left over so if anyone wants a kanto or alola starter starting sometime in January, let me know! i rather wait to deal with the post office (i also still have MANY charizards here)
other than that, starting sometime next summer, i'll be doing it all over again dfgkjd
refreshing my stock for the next boutique/fair, i might try to do at least one before the next december one, but we'll see
my plans for next year are to simply start pushing myself to make more challenging/complicated things! stuff with more details, bigger, smaller, etc
i'm still working on and off on the blankets, there's 7 in total and i have 3 more left to finish, i'll upload them once they're all done :D

small update again, i've been mostly busy playing pokemon moon, i love it! so fun :D
also i've been making several blankets lately, they're gunna take a while to finish
but! at some point i want to make more pokemon, i love some alola pokemon a lot, so look out for those in the future :D including some shinys of course, cuz i'm going hunting again for those once i can

the boutique is coming up too! and right after that i'll (probably) be at a craft fair to sell the rest, or try to at least
so much stuff! but nothing getting done lmao

as i've already said, i'll be attending the annual boutique in early december, i've been making all the starters (bulbs, char, squirt, pika, round owl, lit kitten and pop pop) to stock up for it
and i've decided to sell ALL of my cats there, so now i have two of (almost) every cat for sale! it's a lot of cats, i need to now bring TWO boxes of stock XD
but other than that, we're thinking of attending a craft fair thingy of sorts sometime after that boutique but before xmas
my family and i went to one to check it out and at first i was iffy with the idea of going there in general and going there after the boutique but before xmas
it's still a lot, and i'm still thinking on it, but right now, i think we MIGHT do it after all
cuz then i can just sell my leftover stock from the boutique AND before xmas is best, cuz then people can buy (semi) last minute xmas gifts
probably the only 2 problems are personal ones dkfjgd
i have a slight fear of water/open water/ocean since the family trip out to an island, i did not do well on the boat, BUT i think i'm slowly getting over it, and this fact is important cuz the fair is RIGHT next to the ocean
also i'm not a morning person and i don't like sitting around all day doing nothing...don't get me wrong, i like talking with people about my work, and selling in person just makes me feel better overall, it's the rest of the time/day i spend vending i don't enjoy
but so far, my plan is to probably do both
it also depends on how well i do at the boutique....
aaaanyway, this is probably my second to last journal of the year, i'll do one around xmas time unless something major enough comes up

just a small quick update for no reason in particular XD
i'm attending the annual boutique again this year, and i thought i was ready for it already since i have so many things i want to get rid of, but uh...i've changed my mind on some things
i'm going to be making the kanto and alola starters for it, along with some of my new patterned pikachu (along with the old pattern if they prefer that)
SO, look forward to remade charmander and squirtle, generally updated bulbasaur maybe, and litten and popplio soon
but first i'm making the two latest cats that were added to neko atsume, it's about time that i made them at least once kdjfgd
as for the misc stuff i have i want to get rid of, most of it i will be giving away to friends and family over time, i have plans on how to do that (the dragons will be going to the boutique though, those are still for sale)
the boutique will be in december, so i do have some time still before then, but i still want to get them all done as soon as possible
i also have a blanket in the works for my sister's next baby coming up, i have a month until the baby shower, so i'll be working on that as well (i'll be an aunt of two nieces! i'm excited :D )

ok i confess, i've been playing pokemon games nonstop for a while now and it's PART of the reason why i haven't been crocheting
TLDR version;
there were family things to take care of recently, there's also things happening in my house that will continue for a couple months, i have the motivation to work on crocheting but i have no ideas on what to make, but i MIGHT try some pokemon soon, how soon, who knows
longer version;
i won't get too into my personal life here, i'll just say there were some family matters to be taken care of and everything's fine now, so don't worry about that
most of the floor in my house is being redone, but it's going to take a long time and it's exhausting for everyone
i downloaded pokemon yellow for no reason in particular, i just wanted to try it out and i had a way to, so why not? i absolutely loved it, so since then, i managed to buy pokemon heart gold and pokemon black
before this, the only pokemon games i played were the pmd series and then Y, X, and alpha sapphire
since i had so much fun with yellow, i decided, you know what? i'll try these other games i wanted around the time they came out but i never got for one reason or another
currently i beat heart gold and now working on black, i do also want to get platinum, but that would be the last game until sun and moon come out
speaking of which, i'm getting moon, i'm team rowlet, i'm SO happy a grass starter is getting as much love as a fire starter, grass ftw
aaanyway, in terms of crocheting, i do want to work on things again, but there's a couple issues
one, i don't have many ideas on things to make and i don't feel like finishing the WIPs i have just yet
two, i have SO many things made in my room that i have no room for anymore, and it's taking a toll on my motivation to make more things cuz i think "oh i'll make this, but where will i put it, there's no space, i won't make it then"
however, one idea i have is to make some of my favorite pokemon from the games i'm playing, and/or make some of the ones from my teams
soooo, i might try doing that eventually? it's AN idea better than nothing, and i'll try to figure out space issues

i just need time to figure things out

for personal reasons, i’m most likely not going to crochet for some time, i apologize for the inactivity
it probably won't be for a super long time, but this is just a general warning that i won't be working on anything for a bit

EDIT: i do want to start crocheting again, for real, with my own patterns and all that.
....however, i run into the usual problem of "i don't want to finish what i've started, but i have no idea what to work on next"
so the inactivity is technically going to continue until i figure out what to make or give in and finish a WIP

haven't updated since the year ended, but here's a little something
i've been debating on opening my storenvy, i have a lot of anxiety about it, blahblahblah, i may or may not end up doing, basically
but i will update here if i do end up doing it after all :D
only other thing to update on is my room is completely fixed, all those water problems and such we had are fixed and things are good :D
