Hello 2015!
Posted 11 years agoIt's been long since a journal update here! I am doing well and now balancing a new job as a graphic designer for a publishing company. This will significantly impact what cons I can go to this year and it may mean no AC for me. Next year will work better as I will have more vacation days. I do plan on doing some long distance collaborations with some fellow creatives and I look forward to sharing more videos with you! ( I still have some to update on this page).

Anthrocon Music Video- You're Invited!
Posted 11 years agoHey guys, so I'm working with Kibawolf on putting together a music video with some friends this year at anthrocon for fun. But what I thought would be even more fun is to get some group dance footage as well. I put together a quick video for the choreography of the group dance if you're interested in participating. The song will be Lady Antibellum's "Compass" and I will be working on doing a cover.
atsufawx helped me generate some ideas for the choreography and I simplified it as best as possible. We implemented some of the ideas of contra dance into the moves so that you guys will have an opportunity to interact with each other. Unfamiliar with contra dance? Basically, contra dance is a very casual type of partner dance. While there is a do-see-do in the end of the group choreography, I would really like to do a separate filming of some elements of the classic contra dance, "Alabama Gal". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZpcSnlS6Cs
A lot of the video will have random footage from the con and parts put together with some close collaborators. But I know the joy and excitement that comes from being part of any group dance (Thriller at Furfright with JD and Kwik, Finally Found You at Anthrocon with Duke) and I would like to extend that to others because the bottom line is that it's fun.
The meeting times will be on Friday and Sunday of the con (specific time still TBA). We are working the schedule around other fursuit events. We will meet in the fursuit lounge before heading out to film. For all updates, please be following my twitter. I won't be making further updates on this here. :)

So.....FurTheMore....
Posted 11 years ago...was pretty amazing on all levels. I found out maybe 3 weeks ago that I would be able to join my fiance in going to this con and I am so glad I did. Not only did I get to see my friends from my Pennsylvania days, but I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know even more really cool people. I have so many people to mention that I will run out of links so I'm just going to mention them!
Making my con awesome started out with Sunil and Lion, who were able to find space for me- and along the way, I was joined by Wolfb0ne and Cuttlebone - two awesome, cool and talented people to room with. I don't think I've ever had a more enjoyable room party at a con.
There are so many people that made this con for me. OrionJ and our selfies, bouncing on Artslave's lap, twerking with Clementine, twerking with a lot of people, twerking at least 5 times a day, going to Pilot's shhh-room party, dancing with Riiya, Caw, Akua, Corgii, Snow, and other people whos names I've completely forgotten but if they remind me I'll add but I know their faces!- Friggin epic party with Protocollie letting us use the ballroom for space, Windscar and I avoiding creepy people, doing the cotton-eye joe with the littlest shepherd lady, being Origami Gryphon's doppelganger, making fart noises with Xeypher, singing weird versions of Beatle songs in the con suite, getting down with Ticer and recapping the choreography to Thriller like a zombie.
I am so incredibly honored that the judges for both talent events really enjoyed my performances. This was the very first time I've gotten on stage solo to dance and sing-- I've had experience being in a group like the Thriller Dance (thank you JD Puppy, Sadarius, and Kwik) and being in chorus throughout my grade school years. I think I've found an outlet within the furry convention community to develop this interest of mine. I don't think i could have had as much fun doing it all if it weren't for the amazingly talented people joining me to perform. <3 It was wonderful to meet all of you.
I look forward to possibly developing a dance for Anthrocon- and certainly attending Fur The More next year. If anyone has photos or videos of me from FurTheMore, please link! I am slowly uploading what I have to Flickr. I hope to have an official video of my performances up this week. I will upload some photos of Halla to her designated space,

Posted 11 years agoArriving Thursday and leaving early Monday morning! I'll be around quite a bit participating in various events all over the con. I hope to also bring you a fun entry into the dance competition with a Bollywood routine I put together. See you later this week!
