I had some other things going on that needed to be dealt with, not bad things, just yknow, they took up my time.

so we went to our pirate hide out and ended the day with a little naked snuggle.

Spent the last couple of days doing tests for a game studio, fingers crossed that I get accepted.
I wanted to get it done yesterday but I spent most of the day with pain relief cream in my eye
which burned but it was a sorta light zesty lemony burn, so it wasn't ALL bad.
oh yeah, also my right foot was in constant pain because of a 7 hour trek around in my shitty 11 year old dress shoes (don't know why I kept them around for so long but I did, just didn't occur to me to throw them away)
and I scalded my right hand while boiling water for some coffee

ok, it was bloody amazing.

- played a charr mesmer (for those who don't know, they're illusionist swordsmen / magic casters)

- I remember a fantastic 3 way war in the giant keep in the middle of WvW
(blue team owned it, we were red), we broke our way through the north door and managed to fight our way into the central room
and as we're fighting our way up the stairs, the south door bursts open and green team starts pouring in which ended with us on one set of stairs
green on the other and the 3 of us fighting on 2 sides each.
they managed to push us back into the hallway when I notice one guy dead on our team way ahead, so I roll into him and revive
(I had a passive trait that creates a shield for 3 seconds that reflects all projectiles when I revive someone) which gave my team the advantage to push back in
and take the whole keep for our team, it fucking rocked!

- There we loads of amazing PvE moments where a random pickup party doing the level 30 dungeon, it was our first time ever in there, all 5 of us and we awesomely switched back and forth, on the fly, helped each other with walls and shields thrown in each others way to protect each other.
I absolutely love the more organized tighter combat in this game SO much.
sure the dynamic events and open world combat is amazing but the dungeon combat, all 5 of you rely heavily on each other but you can't plan ahead of time exactly what you're going to do, it has to be instant reactionary decisions and when it goes well, it feels just amazing.

- As for smaller 5v5 PvP combat, I tried for 3-4 hours and never died once. I had completely specced into my clones, they have more hp, deal more damage, there's constantly more being made all the time, when I dodge, one is created where I was standing, I had a utility that stealthed me for 3 seconds and created a clone, one that created 2 clones, I had a trait that when I hit 25% hp I would stealth for 6 seconds and a clone was left behind.
seeing someone waste all their big cooldown and elite skills on illusions was so incredibly satisfying. I was a huge mess of illusions and nobody was able to figure out which one was the real me.
there was one match where I actually got teamed up with 2 other charr mesmers and that made it absolutely hilarious, because all 3 of us decided without even talking to each other that sticking together would be a great idea.... essentialy, the entire match we wandered around as a horde of 12 people but only 3 of us were real :D



TL;DR: Game was great on all fronts (yes it's unfinished but it's amazingly polished and tight already), sure you can faceroll your way through the first few levels in the game easily without skill, but once you get a hold of the combat mechanics and know what you're really doing, it becomes mind blowing.

I wonder sometimes what goes through these peoples minds

you get stuff like the 3DS and the Wii U which are a new generation of consoles
but because of their names people are just convinced it's just a ds with a 3d screen
and a wii with a stupid controller, when they're a new generation of console, like the xbox compared to the xbox360

now I'm playing Gotham City Impostors, which is an awesome game, it's so much goddamn fun
but the way their DLC got launched out on the xbox live market...hhooolllyyyyy fuck!

nobody seems to realise that the DLC is entirely pointless, and not in the sense "if you don't want to you don't have to"
they made every single piece of customization in the entire game either obtainable in game or paid for
win a match you earn 40-60 costume coins, which is enough to pay for a pair of gloves that costs what was it, $1?
so they have hundreds of pieces of clothing in the game and the way the DLC works on xbox live is that it lists each piece as an entirely new piece of DLC
all of it is entirely pointless
who would actually pay for them?
someone who actually purchased the game but doesn't want to play it at all? because it only takes a single match to get that piece of clothing!

so basically you end up with people who see the game and then the hundreds and hundreds of pieces of DLC for $1-$5
of course nobodies going to fucking buy your fucking game.
