Posted 14 years agoDue to Christmas goings on, major depression, and plushie stuff....I won't be updating the comic, through the month of December.
As soon as I've gotten some work done, and I'm more emotionally stable, I'll get back into the swing of things...and possibly make some extra updates, to make up for it.

More comic news
Posted 14 years agoSo, apparently FA decided to update the categories, on the day of my surgery. They couldn't have done that, a day earlier, when I'd actually notice?
Anywho. After much discussion with Tim, and some contemplating, without him....we have decided to have the comic on a once-a-week schedule, of every Saturday. He will be co-writing some, when I'm out of ideas. (because I usually just do comics, whenever the inspiration brick hits) Hopefully a couple other friends can pitch in, too, and maybe even do some guest comics.
I'm also planning on starting a short and semi-serious arc, as a way to commemorate the changes. Then it's back to gag-a-day strips. The arc will be based on an RP, so it isn't to be considered canon story..but it was a fun RP, and I would definitely like to make a comic out of this particular arc. (though quite a bit of it will re-written and omitted, to make it appealing to a wider audience) Unfortunately, since it requires detailed backgrounds, it will all be hand-drawn and entirely black/white. Sorry about that. Not so good, with digital backgrounds.
If the comic gets a big enough following, or....a following, at all, we'll move to a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule. But that's a long way off, and I'm just focused on this, for the time being. See you all, Saturday, with the start of the Alcatraz arc!

Posted 14 years agoJust in case anybody stumbles across here, thought I'd give a health update. Back is better, so I'm able to draw a bit more. Falling down the stairs hurts. Who knew? Mouth is still a bit sore, but not to the point where I still need Vicodin. Still a little hard to eat and drink, though, so I've been really dehydrated. As soon as that gets fixed, I should resume comics and art. Hopefully soon! I'm also contemplating having an actual schedule. How does every Saturday sound? Good? Maybe?
I'd also like to make a random note, here. None of the cast, in Happy Fire, (excluding Molly) are human. There's just no "alien" category, on FA. They really do need one.

Posted 14 years agoTim and I were talking about doing a Questions From the Readers thing. I realize Happy Fire doesn't have the largest fanbase ever...but we thought it'd be fun, anyway. We'll pick out some questions or comments, and have Jake or Dakota read them, in a comic. Hell, I might even feature cameos, every now and then. So if you have any questions or comments, feel free to shoot 'em to me!
I've got one more comic-thing in the works, then this is probably the last you'll hear from me, for a few weeks, due to surgery...so that leaves plenty of time to leave a comment or two. :U
