For those of you who missed it, i had a terrible accident on my bike last Monday. Most of the details are on my Twitter, so please dig through that a bit if you want them. Some pain meds i just took are kicking in and I'm about to get a little loopy and woozy.

Yaay! First of all, it was my birthday yesterday. I spent it quietly for the most part. Cuddled my Leon, then hung out at Kisho's place and beat the crap out if him in Smash Bros. =3 He's better than I expected too, so we should probably play more and spar so we can both get better. ;3

My regular board game nights at my house have been going for several years. And finally I've gotten them to more reliably be more board gamey than just sitting around watching anime like it had been for quite a while. It's been a mix of a few good games and we've gotten into some good collectibles too like Marvel Dice Masters and a little of the new M:tG sets. I've been trying super hard to be more social, being really active on G+, trying to stick with a few twittery things. Inviting furs over for the game night. I've picked up a few USB controllers too for the eventually use of couch multiplayer stuff on PC like CRAWL, Cobalt, Towerfall... Good stuff. I just need to clean up around the house more so there's more actual space for bodies to sit.

The whole trying to be social thing has been years worth effort for me to crawl out of my friendless hole. I'm just now starting to feel like I'm peeking my head out of the dirt. Sometimes I dump my baggage about losing my best friend on new people I meet, but it's something that's hard to get over and sometimes I uncontrollably gush. I thank everyone who puts up with me and sticks with my neediness long enough to truly care.

So in other news, here's some things I've been up to.

* Still working night shifts. Currently have Monday and Tuesdays off. I'm most often available for online gaming stuff on Tuesday since Monday is taken up by board game night. But, if I'm not busy with Leon or over-sleeping, then I technically have most of the afternoon up until 9pm free for hanging out.

* I've been writing for an indie gaming review website, www.IndieGameReviewer.com for a little over a year now. I've helped them put together two Game Of The Year lists, and several pages worth of actual reviews.

* Monster Hunter 4 is coming out soon on 3DS. My life will be consumed. You have been warned, Leon. ;3

* I maaaaybe start doing Pearler Bead 'pixel sprite' commission type things. Maybe not... But I might. Depends on if people actually care for me to get them from me. I recently finished a huge commission and am taking a break, but I kinda wanna get back to doing them soonish. They made for a good excuse to sit and watch Leon play games while I worked on them.

* I have another simple, but fun mini-project I'd like to start on soon.... I might save it for CaliFur to debut it.

There... All in all, life is getting much better. I'm no longer stressed, it's just me and  LeonNiKate living happily together. He's happy working, taking from me things that foxes need, getting showered in Star Wars things, being fed and taken care of and loved. =3

And if anyone else wants to say hi, I'm up all freaking night and I have nothing better to do all night long than just yapping your ear off til the sun comes back up. I've taken to mostly using G+ or Steam. Skype kinda too, but Skype is not as good at notifications as G+ is. And Steam is only slightly better than Skype for that matter.

See, it's 4:30am. I'm gonna still be here at work for another 2 hours before I go home. And maybe, just maybe, I'll try updating this some more... But I kinda wanna let this one sit here for a while because it's a good info dump.

Guy kept coming into the office asking if his reservation came though. I remember this same guy from earlier this week from trying to sell me a watch for $500. After he comes to the office 2 times asking to check into a reservation that doesn't exist, I call the cops and describe the guy to them.

The cops come and follow him to his room, find out who the room is registered to, get a key from me and go up to have a look. They're gone for a while and come back down with some lady in cuffs. They were doping and making counterfeits. The guy who kept coming down was not arrested and was allowed to leave with a small bag of personal stuff.

I told the cops that I'm guessing they were trying to brute force credit card information by making reservations and seeing if any of them went though.

I just got Twilight Emperium for xmas, and before I attempt to juggle all the bits and pieces of the physical copy, I'd like to attempt to run an online game of it in a Board Game emulator called Vassal.

For those of you who don't know, this is a NeoPets/Pokemon pet breeding web game with 3v3 pvp battles, simple flash games, auction house playing, yadda yadda. you start with 2 dragons, and breed more, make cross-breeds and use those to make totally new breeds!
The pokemon 3v3 battles are live matches where you pit your dragons vs another player ,and take turns jrpg style. With a ranking system too!

I don't know how else to begin the subject on this... so I'll try to just say whats up without being awkward.

I'm been putting together a CCG that I plan to in the near future put up on Kickstarter or IndieGoGo to cover printing costs andpay back artists who provide art...

What I'm looking for right now, is just to start putting out the feelers for artists who are interested. I'm not sure how much I should offer for each piece, but I'd rather it be a lump sum rather than taking on a lot of uneeded 'share holders'. I don't even know if I'll be successful or not, but I'm making the effort.

The point where my game is at right now, I'm preping my card database for my rule set. I need to pull out about 60-80 cards to use as prototype decks. I need to settle on a Card Layout. And I need to name cards accordingly to the chosen theme I end up going with.

So what I'd like to ask, would anyone like to get their foot in the door here for providing art? What kinda prices would you be looking for the work?

Let's hope Leon is awake enough to reply to my post on it and we can get a pair. ;3

I'm at a point where I need to decide how big I want the initial release to be so I can start setting goals, and what people want later down the line.

Idea 1: A core set and at least 1 expansion. Generic art.

Idea 2: A core set and at least 1 expansion. Generic art. Future sets with the same cards as previous sets, but with different art and themes.

Idea 3: Only ever 1 set (Everything from the original core + expansion. nothing will be lost). Put more effort into making themed alternative art sets.



For example... If I went with idea #3, I could work on finding artists for various sets for a Fantasy themed set, a Sci-Fi themed set, and a Furry themed set. Plus I could even make a 'generic' set that would be a grab bag of all the other sets. This way you can build a deck using not only the cards you like, but the themes and art you like.
