Is it worth getting or just garbage?

I just finished Earth Hour and it was fun, when it hits your part at 8:30pm, please turn off all your lights and refrain from using electronic devices unless a emergency.

Lately as I come online here on FA, I barely see any good art at all. I might see one or two good pieces of art a week, am I the only one who feels this way.

I don't know what the cause it, there are just so many reasons. This journal isn't meant to hurt anyone, I'm just expressing my concern about the art community. I'm gonna give a few reasons why I think it could be, once again I'm not trying to anger anyone. First reason that comes to mind is the artists have busy lives in work or taking care of their families, which can't be helped. Second reason is that many artists are turning their art to pay websites, to make more money I guess. They are allowed to do so, but it feels unfair for the poor people who can't get into the pay-sites. Third reason is that they only do art for friends, which isn't cool.

It could be any or all of these reasons, maybe none of these. Still to me I think the art community has flattened out, repeating the same themes. I know the art I commission basically copies or repeats the same themes, so maybe I should stop commissioning.

What are your thoughts?

Well I'm sure this subject has been talked about before, but I need to voice out my own view of it. This has nothing to do with the artist, actually this has to do with the people/furries commissioning the artists. It goes like this, lets say a artist opens up his or her commissions. She only takes a limited number or commissions, that' fine since they most likely have a job and other real life stuff to deal with that are important. So that leaves only so many openings for us non-artists and this is the part where the "Art Raper" comes into play, people who go and just take all the slots away from us. They troll the fandom seeking those slots, always getting one and screwing the rest of us. They don't care if someone else would want that slot, some who can't get that many themselves.

What do you all think about this?

I'm furious as I'm writing this, so I'm holding back some stuff.

A few weeks ago when I was in a bad way, I went to the aid of one of my "friends". Instead of getting help, that "friend" kicks me while I'm down. Well I stopped talking to this "friend", I was fine with that. Still what made it worse is that someone was constantly asking me have I talked to this "friend" again, but today I've had enough of that pushing. I'm still furious to that "friend" and it just made me explode when I was just being pushed towards that "friend", so now I'm furious with that someone.

I'm not here to look sympathy or anything like that, I just needed to tell about this. I used to hang out with people that didn't want to be with me, still they claimed they were my friends. Then metaphorically begged them to be my friends, I did that for years. I refuse to do that anymore, I won't lower myself to that level ever again.

Final thing, do NOT name names here.

Well I have had it with some of the artist, their elitist attitude. I won't give names of specific artists, but I'm going to talk about the "Elitist Artist" phenomenon. When these artist start out, most of them are good and fair people. Then as they start to get fame and more popular, they change. This is pretty obvious to all of you who are reading this, but I just vent out on this subject. I suppose it's pretty common that when someone has a taste of fame, they can completely change. There are those few who stay good and humble, since to some getting commissions and the money from that is their only source of income. So those elitst artists should be a lot kinder to their bread and butter, don't piss off your clients. There are different kinds of elitst artists, I'll try to think of most of them.

Anyway I just sick of those artist who treat us nothing more than just cattle or walking money bags, we are people (and furries) too you know. They sometimes keep delaying us for months and then just tell us they don't want to do the picture they been talking about for months. They could do the courtesy and tell us right off they can't do it, then it wouldn't be bad.

All I wanted to say is that I'm sick of being treated so badly by those elitist artist, I'm sure some of you have had similar experiences. I am not naming or saying this is about any specific artist, I'm talking about the phenomenon. If you have a experience to share here, please leave the artists name out, just tell what happened.

Next months 17th is my birthday and it's kinda big for me.
