so yeah, went to the ren faire today and was having a great time when I felt something snap in the jaw. as it turns out the resin on haven's jaw snapped completely in half right close to the hinge. So unhappy right now........until i either figure out a way to fix it(i am thinking epoxy will work for that?) or get another head or whole suit made, no more suiting for me :(

but yeah, for those makers out there that know resin, will epoxy fix this and any recommendations otherwise would be greatly appreicated.

Found out last night that my mate is pregnant again, which admittedly is kinda both good and bad news. bad news only because of the financials behind having another kid and future plans are now seriously changed and/or dead. MFF is now not going to happen this year, or if it does, it will end up being a single day trip to see friends and that.

and as much as i really don't want to, this old wolf is looking into getting himself fixed so this doesn't happen again.

without going into much detail, there are those times i wish kids came with a instruction manual, because my one child i just do not understand her thought process at all..........::sigh::

but other than that huge downslide thing, everything else is looking really up. Finished my 2nd semester and still running a 4.0 GPA, which considering a barely graduated high school, that is REALLY saying something.

the little daughter is doing really well, and toddling EVERYWHERE, especially on my gut and the mates's bad shoulder, but meh, that's toddlers for ya LOL

the mate is doing a LOT better with her illnesses due to her new diet she is on(gluten/dairy free)

took the summer off from college so was going to go look for a job this week, when during my last final one literally fell into my lap that i started on wednesday. its not a GREAT job but it gives me what i am missing from my GI bill, and will help me out a good 4 figures on the tax return at the end of the year.

the mate's also been working on some new LARP masks for herself, and eventually my deer mask will be getting a change so i can wear one during the summer without it looking all dumb. i cannot wait, because OMG they are AWESOME LOOKING.

but yeah, minus the older daughter drama life is REALLY good. i just hope she wakes up soon and realizes what she's doing

been really busy the last couple weeks

got my college schedule all set up, GI bill still being a pain to try to actually request since they don't want to give me a log-in at all to actually be able to do the damn thing, but i have my IL vets grant to cover me until that gets settled at least.

my wife got injured a few weeks ago at a LARP event, and was supposed to get an MRI today for her neck/shoulder, and of course, the doc's office dropped the ball and never requested it through my insurance. UGH, hopefully it won't take long and we can find out what's going on with her.

and we found a new place to move to up in spring valley, about 20 minutes closer to campus, however, with my people that normally help us do that being out of the area the weekend of the 17th, will have to do most of it all by myself cept for a local friend that will help us out.

if anyone could come help us move, you will get paid in pizza, beer(if you are over 21), sodas, and all the water you can drink.

if you can help, i would SO appreciate it.

especially ones that have seen my fursuit.

my paws, although still usable, are on their last legs and cannot remember for the life of me WHO had originally made them(i had bought them used off of Furbuy) all the info i had on who i had bought them from, all the emails i had dealing with that, etc, have all disappeared/got deleted, etc

so yeah, this weekend will be my 4th weekend in a row(assuming things work out and i am going this weekend again) that I will be playing NERO(full contact boffer LARP). Doing it for the exercise as much as anything else, but getting to do that spending time with lots of friends and get the mate some time away from the littlin to recharge her mommy battery, all HUGE bonuses. after this weekend however, will definitely be taking a week off of LARPing at the very least.

tomorrow is the big 4 0 for me, dear god where has all the time gone. I know I am starting to look my age too, one of my friends I LARP with thought i was 47......dear god, i am not THAT old yet LOL.

otherwise, getting stuff ready for college this fall, taking care of the wee one(almost 7 months old now, WOW, she got big quick), spending quality time with the mate ((gives her a kiss)), and walking as often as i can.

Went to the CILFCO furry meet / bowling last night, had a really good time. met quite a few new folks ::waves to campbellkid and raidersonic:: and some cool furs i haven't seen in a while ::waves to dammit, mander, and syrix:: Me and Noodle ended up showing up to the bowling alley early to shoot some pool, and obviously noodle is getting better, because she actually won. WOOT to noodle :) talked to quite a few others whose names I don't remember(go figure, old man being forgetful again LOL) and bowled pretty good, actually managed to break 120 in a game. overall, good times with great furs. Hope to do it again soon.

I find it amazing tho that because i can bowl halfway decent in fursuit (about a 95-100 average in suit, give or take) that other people find that amazing......here i was thought i was suckin a bit, probably because i am normally about a 145-150 average bowler ::shrugs::

I came home and my oldest daughter, who was babysitting my little 6 month old, had her friend over with her for company while she babysat....no big deal there, but the friend was silly enough to "peek" into the tub with the fursuit in it while i was out of the room. When i walked back in, she had this look somewhere between "OMG that looks awesome" and "OMG what is wrong with you" looking inside the fursuit tub, but more the former than the latter I think. I think the idea of going out in public in a fursuit....was something she couldn't understand why one would want to(for lack of better term there), she did say that the costume itself looked fantastic. ::shrugs:: meh, too each their own i guess.

LARP events for me the next 2 weekends, then hopefully can do another meet sometime after that.

my little girl is almost 5 months old now, giggling up a storm and turning over on her own. she has gotten the nickname "bright eyes" by pretty much everyone that sees her, and its SO DAMN SUITING.

my VA disability claim is still in stasis almost 2 months late. that thing REALLY needs to get done so i know how my finances are goin to be for the future. until then, my making it to LARP events / furmeets are not goin to be happenin. suckage

my teenage daughter that was living with me decided to move back with her mother several weeks ago. it stung a bit considering how i got custody of her in the first place, but she is the type that has to learn her life lessons the hard way ::shrugs:: she'll figure things out eventually.

Been able to go to several furmeets, and have had a blast. been meeting a lot of new furs.

my LARPing stuff is.........interesting to say the least. issues with certain individual assholes in positions of authority of sorts are starting to strain me and the family goin to one of the sites i play at often. going again this next weekend and we shall see where certain things lie......the interesting part is i expected the issues to be coming from different people then what they are ::shrugs:: go figure. but yeah, since certain things have transpired, the 2 cons i was goin to volunteer for this year they can just kiss my ass, i won't be doing that again anytime soon, if at all.

I will be starting college full time come the fall semester, YAY GI bill and the IVG to pay for all of my college :D will be doing my first 2 years at IVCC then most likely transferring to NIU after a couple years at IVCC.
