Not gonna be around for a few days
Posted 8 years agoHey guys, gonna say it early, happy 4th to all my fellow american friends!
I won't be around for a few days because I'm going off to the lakehouse today with Uzziah and family. We're spending the night there, then some of the 4th there, but then I guess we're coming back to town for a little party they do with vendors and all that good stuff in the park across the street from us. Then we're gonna go watch the fireworks that night so I dboubt I'll really be around much. Then on wednesday I have to go to a shop to talk to someone about getting a job because I guess they personally know Uzziah's parents and wanna hire me? So yeah! Busy few days for me.

Of course, I'm always willing to see my friends, and people who generally enjoy my art, I'm a very friendly person so long as I'm not hangry!
Can I touch/hug you?
Yeah, just ask for a hug and that's fine. I do tend to be a bit more physically reserved around people I don't know but once I do know you I love getting/giving hugs! Other appropriate touching is pretty much fine. Things like getting my attention by touching my shoulder or arm or something etc...
Can I commission you at the con?
Just ask first, I might be over booked with commissions, or may have them closed to just enjoy the con but we can definitely talk about reserving you a spot once my commissions open next!
Will you draw me something for free?
It REALLY depends, if I like the character, if I'm in a good mood, if I'm friends with you. It really all depends. Most times I'd say no.
Can I give you a drawing/present
For sure, I think everyone loves getting gifts, and I'm no exception! Obviously make sure it's appropriate timing for whatever gift you may give me. Like a snack isn't really best to give me while we're eating lunch, or NSFW art of a character of mine isn't the best thing to give me if we're out in broad daylight somewhere.
Can I get a picture with you?
Sure, if you want. (I intend to get a fursuit at some point so this will become more relevant when that actually happens.) Just give me a heads up to prepare for a picture if you're in it or not.
Can I hang out with you?
I usually only really hang out with my friends, it's a little weird to have someone you don't know trail around behind your group of friends, but I mean I don't personally see any harm in asking. Just be warned before you ask, the worst that will happen is we'll tell you no. We're not mean or anything by any means, but we might just have a reservation for lunch somewhere with specific head counts, or we might be running off to our room for like a nap.
Can I look at your sketch book?
If I have it on my sure, just be warned there is almost always shit in there that's super weird or shitty or dumb.
Can you speak any other languages?
English is my main language, and I prefer to use that when I can. I'm not fluent in any other language but here are the others I have ANY level of knowledge in.
Spanish: I can understand stuff spoken to me a lot of the time, but I can only speak very basic things back.
German: I can understand some stuff spoken to me/written down. but can't speak anything back.
American Sign Language: ASL is probably my strongest out of my languages. I know many signs, and can hold a very bare bones convo with someone in it, I know finger spelling as well, but I'm not fast with it. (Keep in mind I'm left handed)
Can I come to your room?
Unless we as a group invite you personally, we don't really allow other people in our room unless you're friends. It's just where we hang out with just our friends. Sorry <3
Do you go to parties?
Never been invited to a con party, so I can't say for sure, but I get uncomfortable around people using drugs because my past home life, but I like parties outside of that.

Posted 8 years agoHey guys, just wanted to let you know that this weekend is booked with IRL stuff I'm doing.
The 16th is a party with Uzziah's mom's co-workers where everyone brings family. No idea how long this one is or when it starts tbh but I'm not worried.
The 17th is my actual birthday, my sister is taking me to Kerfuffle in buffalo, so we'll be there all day.
On the 18th we're celebrating fathers day with Uzziah's family. (One benifit of not having a dad in ur life anymore is you don't gotta worry about getting fathers day gifts! Yay!)
On the 23rd we're celebrating my birthday with my mom at a cook out/campfire get together just because there are like 4 family birthdays in June so we're celebrating them on a day where everyone is free.
Other than those plans, I'm feeling very gross lately. My lymph nodes on the right side of my neck are swollen so much it's painful to look around or swallow, aside from that I have no other symptoms so we aren't sure what's up with me there. So as it stands the pain is making me curl up in bed after a while of being in pain. So progress is halted on my commissions as it stands until I feel better and will more than likely continue after this crazy weekend is over.
And not that I need anything for my birthday, but I know how kind my friends and watchers are, so I'll provide it anyway; a link to my steam wishlist is here http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/.....6584/wishlist/ (I'm not actually sure if you're able to see it without being my friend, I have so few friends on there lol.) Secondlife help?
Posted 8 years agoHEy guys, I know NOTHING about secondlife but I'm trying to get into it. Problem is I want an avi that looks like either Synth, Rae, or Doe
Problem is, I have NO idea how to even go about starting an avi. Theres terms I don't understand like a meshed avi and sculpted, I don't know the differences, among various other factors going into it. It's just SO much that it's actually too much to handle. I can't get various experienced people to help me, I cant find ANY tutorials to help me with what I think I want to do, and the few tutorials there ARE out there are from like 2009 and don't work anymore.
I'm just having a really hard time and was wondering if there was any way I could maybe draw someone some stuff to make me an Avi, or anyone could offer to help me make one. I feel somewhat comfortable with the texture aspect of it but everything else is absolutely a no go in my head. I really don't understand ANY of it. Made it back
Posted 8 years agoStill not fully back to normal yet, however we made it home safely.
It was a crazy trip home lemme tell ya!
We got to bed way later than we thought because the desks and PCs and all the mice and cords and keyboards and stuff took a lot longer to pack than we thought. I didn't fall asleep until about 4am because I was nervous. We woke up at like 7:30, Uzziah grabbed some quick breakfast, and we loaded the truck, and the boys got breakfast while I finished it up. I joined up with them, then Uzzie and I got on the road right after some sad goodbyes.
The drive started out totally fine, we were happy, it was a comfy UHaul, It was a gorgeous day, the mountains were beautiful on the way out, and we were both excited to do this whole 2,000+ mile trip together as a couple. It was totally fine, listening to music, singing and nerding out, making jokes, and counting other Uhauls we saw along the way.
We drove about 11 hours of the 28 we needed to that first night. We pulled over at a truck stop, bought gas, and the lady told us we could park and sleep in the Uhaul there if we wanted to since she didn't care. Super chill! Well I get all settled down in it, and Uzzie tries his best, I'm about to fall asleep when he tells me he can't sleep because he's not cuddling me. So we roll over next door to this motel and hop in, it was super shady and in backwoods ass Nebraska. But it was part of the experience, and we got a good nights sleep.
We woke up early the next morning and returned the key, then took off again. Everything was again totally fine, there were some shitty bouts of traffic along the way, but nothing bad. We made it from Nebraska to south of Chicago, when we ran into trouble. There was LOADS of construction, and it was getting dark. The construction was so bad part of the highway was closed I guess, and we had to take 3 different onramp/offramps to get off and go down some backwwods areas in the super dense fog. We finally got back on the highway on the other side of construction, and that's when the real fun happened.
It started raining, and getting worse and worse while we were driving into the storm. It was raining so bad by the end of it both of us were shaking from anxiety, we literally couldn't see the road at all, the only way we knew we were on the road was when we hit the rumble strips. So we took the nearest exit, and followed a light to a quality inn, and asked them if we could stay in their parkinglot till the storm was over, they told us no (such shitters) and told us that we had to stay in a room or get lost. So we asked fo their cheapest room and they told us the only one they had left was the king executive suite, we had to take it because we literally could not drive. So I was all anxious and shit about staying there but whatever. We got some good sleep, some good food, and then took off again. Made it home totally fine but had to drive in the rain almost the whole way back those last 6 hours.
Just spent yesterday and today unpacking and stuff like that.
So thats that, we're home now,having a grand old time seeing people I haven't seen in so long.
<3 still not fully back to normal business, but when I get there I'm gonna open for commissions full time until I get my new job! <3

Life changes!

So, I've been putting off making this journal for quite a while now, but some big changes are coming my way.
Today was the last day at my job. I'm gonna miss the people but fuck that job. Anyway thats aside the point. I put in my two weeks when uzzie got a job offer, just waiting for confirmation now. But either way, currently I have no responsibilities.
So, I'm planning on opening commissions again to fill the time because I'm so used to working my ass off that doing nothing feels awful. But I honestly couldn't take it there anymore and needed to get out. For many reasons.
So, the main thing here is that when we get that final call we're packing back up and moving back to NY once more. It's weird looking around Salt Lake knowing we'll be going home and maybe won't see it again. Can't personally say it's too sad, but it is weird.
So I'm looking forward to moving back home near my family, and friends. Getting a job out there I'll like more now that my current job has taught me everything I want in a new job.
Anywho, thats about it. But in the future Uzziah and I will be disappearing for a few days where we're driving a Uhaul home

Posted 8 years agoI'm working on getting back into art now that I'm a bit more trained in my job and have a bit less stress. But I don't want to get over my head again.
So I'll be going with YCHs and such. I'm gonna offer a few "win a night with" some of my characters too.

Posted 8 years agoSo I got my implant changed yesterday and my arm is in a decent bit of pain. The hole he had to make was a bit bigger than he had hoped for to get the old one out, and I ended up bleeding quite a bit more than we thought, so I've got a pretty decent bruise in my bicep in the crease of it. It didn't seem to effect my art too much, I can still draw because it's in my non dominant hand, but it's more of being in pain and not wanting to work because of the pain.
Just so you guys know what's going on since I like keeping you all updated!

Removing someone from my queue.
Posted 8 years agoI've had this person sitting in my queue for almost two year now. Waiting on important details from them about the commission. I've reached out a few times with no replies. I went to message them again today and found rheir FA page abandoned. A small journal simply saying they're leaving that was posted almost a year ago. So, I will be removing them from the queue because it is just clutter. I left it there for so long just encase someone tried to make an artists beware on me.
But I feel comfortable removing it now. If this person ever comes back to me with proof of it being them, I will be more than happy to complete their piece. However in the mean time I want to clean up my queue. It's jarring to still see it in there.
The character will still belong to them of course. I have no plans for the character myself. Thanks guys!

Dimitri specifically I wanna RP, but others are good too. Feel free to ask about them!
Here is what I'm looking for:
1.) Something quick, not necessarily smut. But smut is okay in most cases. Casual RP

2.) Something longer term, I prefer to be canon rather than not, but it won't ruin it for me if it's not canon. Or at least somewhat canon.
3.) Looking for someone who has basic skills at RP, you don't need to be a professional writer, I sure as hell am not. But I want to be able to understand what you've written.
4.) I want to be using Discord to RP, it's easy, it's less intensive on your PC than skype, it's just all around great.

Suggestions for Tablets?
Posted 9 years agoI'm looking into getting a new tablet. I still have to try my current Wacom on my mate's old computer once I get a monitor, but at the moment I just need to look for a new one just encase. It's a high probability that it won't work on his computer either.
I have a 4 ish year old Wacom Intuos 5 touch in medium (The model is now referred to something else like the Intuous pro or something.)
But basically I have had NOTHING but issues with it for the longest time. Basically since day one it hasn't worked right. It's gone through being replaced, I've talked to support countless times about it but I always just get told to get the right driver, linked a driver, then told that will fix it and they take off.
I've looked up the problem online but it always has one of like three problems.
1.) It flat out WONT sync. Literally will not sync. As in it won't. Not "oh wait! Try doing this with the cord or maybe a port is out." it's "I've done LITERALLY everything even getting it sent in and replaced and it still does it."
2.) It syncs but there's no pressure sensitivity whatsoever. I can fuck with all the settings but it won't ever use sensitivity.
3.) It syncs, it doesn't have pressure sensitivity, and it freaks THE FUCK out. It draws in nothing but straight lines, it tries color picking everything, it basically has seizures, it tries to select things or right click things for some reason. (This is the most common one)
I've done everything I've found online. Re-installing drivers, wiping the ENTIRE computer clean of EVERYTHiNG wacom and starting fresh, using the disc installer I had that came with it. Trying the new drivers, trying the old drivers, trying every model of driver, plugging and unplugging, trying different computers, making sure my ports are all correct, getting support to send me the right drivers, sending it in for replacement. Literally nothing works for it.
So here is what I'm looking for:
I need a reliable tablet, it needs to work on Windows 10, it needs to work with Paint Tool Sai.
I need a decent drawing/active surface. No less than 10 inches across width wise. I want it to have an eraser on the pen.
It needs to be pressure sensitive.

Ambidextrous, touch capable, on screen drawing, wireless capable, with it's own case/stand.
I'm looking to hopefully get more into things like animation, and I just can't unless I have the tablet. My work will become infinitely faster once I have a tablet that is reliable and working.
If anyone has suggestions or whatnot I'd like to hear them. Atm I'm looking at Huion, and Ugee, I'm just nervous because I've only owned Wacoms, but this last one has me worried that Wacom won't work for me anymore.So many things.

Anyways, small update on me. Working out commissions and owed art feels pretty good. Anyways, I've drawn a lot, I have a comic I've been working on during work breaks. But I don't think it'll go anywhere.
Speaking of work, the promotion finally happened for real. I'm in training atm actively for management here. I've done a pretty good chunk of the training so far which has impressed my manager since I have to go at my own pace with it. Either way, it's exciting.
All that aside, I've just been chilling and stuff.

OH GOD. So many reasons. I wasn't in a very good place when I met him. The relationship I had been in at the time was toxic. I was getting gaslit (gas-lighting) all the time, lots of emotional abuse. Ultimately I understand where their insecurity came from and I don't blame them for it anymore, but at the time they took it all out on me, and even though they said they trusted me all their behavior said they didn't. Trust is a big deal to me, and if you can't trust me or vice versa it just cannot be a thing. It will end up ending. But at that time I was on lots of meds, working at a place I didn't want to, and had no direction in my life, all the while, being in a relationship that sadly just didn't make me happy anymore. So this guy comes around my job, he legit wants to be friends, he falls head over heels for me a month into the friendship, and I don't know how to respond because I was in the relationship. He was sorta helping me find my way in life, and it just snapped in my head one night that I couldn't be held back anymore. I needed progress and the relationship wasn't healthy, my partner wasn't healthy, my life wasn't getting anywhere, and it was ultimately just dead weight. It was more a mercy thing than a "Lol I fell for another person lolollolol" thing as much as they don't want to think it was. We just weren't compatible anymore and it happens. It wasn't fair to me or them to keep going. Then Aj and I started dating when I realized how fucking real of a person he was. Raw, funny, completely himself, his life figured out, an amazing family who loved me, I found I was finally smiling again and I realized it was the right choice to tell him I loved him. He came over and asked me out in a suit and it was super cute <3

-When he first met me I was drawing my sona who was a dude at the time. He flipped out that he found another furry and that night we talked on FB he freaked when he found out he was a guy at the time, it was hella cute.
-Fall last year he was showing me around the city I had just moved here. So the leaves were all orange, and he was taking me around the park, we sat by the pond for hours just talking, laughing, holding hands, and coming up with backstories for the ducks.
-Our first kiss. So, at the time I was super scared of kissing him, but he wanted it so bad. I would give him little kisses on the cheek, and he'd joke that I missed his lips. So this one night I walk him out like I always do and we hug super tight, then we pull apart and have that awkward moment where both people want to kiss the other, but it feels like the world stops as you just stare at each other longingly. It was so intense. He eventually left, then messaged me about it that night saying he really had hoped I would have kissed him. He comes over the next night and sneaks into my room, we're just chilling on my bed watching TV and talking or listening to music like we always did. I give him a kiss on the cheek and playfully tease him by saying "Sorry I missed~" as a joke. I'd never wanna draw it, design it, or anything unless I drew it super grown up but then it doesn't fit with timelines because I don't want to draw my characters like 20yrs older x.xUpdating my Prices
Posted 9 years agoYep, So I finally did it. I ended up figuring out my new prices. I'm adding some new options, and organizing. Then I'll be nuking and re-working my commission info tab here! I'll put a journal up when it's finally done. Clearing up my queue. May end up selling some characters.
I'm normally not the "New year new me" person, but I've put it off the past two or so years to clean up my account a bit more. So I just wanna move undesired characters out, new ones in, get story lines all squared away, and the likes. So yeah, that's about it!No Christmas stuff from me
Posted 9 years agoSorry guys, I always want to do stuff for Christmas, like ychs, or personal pieces, or gifts for people who mean a lot to me. But i just never can seem to do it.
If I'm being honest I never remember when Christmas is. I know the date, I hear it's coming up, but it never feels like it. It feels like today was just a normal day, tomorrow will feel the same. Christmas just never feels like Christmas to me anymore. It's been that way for a while, but still. Sorry for the venting guys.

I'm planning on working over this weekend too. My muse has been dead for a while and I'm working on getting it back, but I've put enough time aside to try and help it. Posted 9 years agoCommissions are closed at the moment, more than likely until I get my 2017 prices sorted out. I've been thinking about raising my prices for the past 2 years now, and I think this time will be a for sure deal.
Commissions will open again by journal sometime in the future.
