General | Posted a year agoFWA 2024
General | Posted a year agoWhew, just sitting down after unpacking and doing laundry.
First of all, thank you to all my friends and the friends I made at FWA; the experience was a blast and I loved it. I saw so many people that have commissioned me and many more that enjoyed my work. Just knowing just how far my efforts have spread warms my heart. I do want to apologize for not telling people who I am but, I feel such a way will make an interaction more impactful. Having someone you talk to idolize you in some way makes that connection feel false and unearned. I eventually want to meet and talk to all my commissioners and fans as myself and not under a label. But.. there is something that holds me back from revealing my identity to anyone.
Wednesday afternoon-
I arrive Wednesday afternoon and after enjoying a quiet day at the convention center, I wake up Thursday to wander the con floor. I chat and say good morning to folks I pass by. I knew going into FWA that I would potentially see the person who, for the last four years, has made me feel incompetent about myself as an artist and as a creator in the fandom. It didn't really hit me until I stood over the side of the railing and watched the LED banner flicker and display the large mural artwork created by said person. I've wanted to come to terms that, no matter how hard I try to distance myself and focus on my own passions, reminders throughout the years bring me back to a younger, more immature version of myself. My heart always sinks when I am unable to see a post because I'm afraid to find out who has blocked me this time. It has tainted my ability to look up to others as well as bring myself to support them. It may be why I find it difficult to connect with other latex/rubber artists, and I beg forgiveness from those whose paths I chose not to cross.
I don't have many options within the industry that is my professional job. I can not land an interview much less a position after graduation. Although I understand that concept art as a whole is suffering due to the repercussions of COVID mass hiring, there's a thought in the back of my mind that the person who I am referring to in this post has somehow blacklisted me from getting a job. Though I cannot prove such a thought, anxiety gets a better hold of me and it makes me so uncertain of the path forward. I can only imagine what they have said to the many artists who now have me blocked. I won't sit and say I have it bad, we all do, in this digital age of imposter syndrome and seeing fellow creators younger and better than you as well as posts on social media only highlighting the best of people's lives- we often forget that we all face difficulties..
But damn— I've held onto this sorrow for a long time in my heart. I tell myself that I want a natural way of connecting with other furs in the latex community but realistically, I'm scared. Scared they will know who I am and dislike me for it, scared they will tell other people that I am at the convention, scared that I might accidentally tell the person who this very post is about.
I am not the hero in this story. I am not the bigger person. I have talked to others, vented my frustration, possibly done the same thing they might have to their friends. I have written down journal after journal throughout the years about this person only to delete it before posting- worried that admitting such feelings would be me conceding and proving everything they said to be right. I was arrogant and my ego could not handle it.
I feel that I am no longer that person.
If you are reading this, PL, somehow, someway- if your friends link you it, if you stumble upon it by chance- I cannot change how you feel about me, I cannot lower my standards and forsake the community that has built me up and supported me throughout my artistic journey. I will not stop producing the work that I love, the work that allows me to see the good in tough times, the work that has kept me alive. I will not let your words undermine the tears, sweat, and blood I have gone into practicing my craft. I will no longer be ashamed when I pick up a pencil, a pen, a tool to create. And through it all, you've helped me grow as a person and as an artist. I end this by saying thank you.

2024
General | Posted 2 years agoI've been meaning to make a New Year's post but I had a lot of thoughts simmering in my head. I think I've condensed it down.
First off, thank you! In a busy world where your attention is pulled in all different directions, I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read. 2023 was a tough year, finally settling in, making friends, graduating; I spent the better half of the year focused on working and finishing project after project. As 2023 came to a close, I sat and pondered what my next steps were.
Many of you know I moved in December last month- not many of you knew I had to move back in with my parents. It was not a choice and more of a necessity. Commissions and Patreon have been my only source of income since late 2022 till today. As much as I wanted to believe I could fully build a career out of it, California is just too damn expensive. I won't lie that my lifestyle hasn't contributed to my financial situation but figuring out how much I was able to make monthly led me to a pessimistic view. As of today, I've started looking for part-time jobs to fill the holes in my pocket and hopefully full-time jobs for coverage of insurance as well as slowly paying off my student debt.
With that being said, I'm updating future commission prices. Though I've tried to make my artwork affordable for my commissioners, I just don't have the time to collect so many. Hopefully, that doesn't mean I will be producing less art. Starting this year, I want to make the transition into comics as well as physical media. There are a lot of stories I wish to tell stories of the world I have in my head for all to read. 2024 is shaping up to be a year full of stories and goobits!
The entertainment industry has never looked more unwelcoming to new talent than ever before. After 4 and a half grueling years at an art college, commercial and entertainment art has been the last thing on my mind. I think this video (The Video Game Industry is NOT Collapsing. A Lawyer Explains.) gives a very good look into the industry itself. There are a few things I wanted to sum up/add to.
I despise entertainment as a cooperate. Just today, many artists are facing the first push into AI with companies such as Wacom and XPen or even Apex Legends and game articles. I believe (and I hope I am wrong) that the general public doesn't understand just how far this underlying issue runs. Today they will post apologies and make excuses. People will forgive them and hope they will do better but they most definitely will not. Some bald white guy at the top of the corporate ladder who has no understanding of human connection will believe that this will either save money or make more money and continue to appeal to shareholders. Companies will continue to refine their techniques to save as much money as possible and I believe within the next years or so, aspiring artists who want to work for their dream company will have their passion exploited at minimum wage. This is the same with the design/art side of the industry. How many times have there been games announced to have X,Y,Z only to be canceled because "the CEO didn't think it would make them money." I cannot see myself designing hundreds to thousands of ideas just to watch my work disfigured as it moves along production or be completely scrapped because of said white guy. It doesn't help that the games industry doesn't have a union/guild because senior artists profit so much from years and years of experience that unions will never form. Big triple-A companies barely hire in-house artists, instead, opting to outsourcing companies. The community is small but powerful and everyone talks- knowing this, there have been some real nasty individuals who are giants in the community who are covered by other giants who will "blacklist you" because they don't like you. I am disgusted.
Art has been and still is my passion. Turning it into a job these last couple of years has been out of necessity but at least I enjoyed creating something I enjoyed and that you all enjoyed as well. I ultimately don't have the luxury anymore to draw and produce at the amount I would like to anymore but that doesn't mean I won't stop drawing. I don't know where I stand in this world of late-stage capitalism but truthfully, I wish to stay afloat with you all in the coming years.
I don't want to start off 2024 on a sour note. I want this year to be filled with fun artwork and ideas for everyone. Cheers!

Patreon!
General | Posted 2 years agoHowdy folks! As you can see from the title, I am once again giving my shot at Patreon!
I recently graduated and have been pushing my own path rather than assuming a job in my industry. I've thought long and hard about this and at the time of typing this, I'm still not so sure but let's see where this takes us! I wanted to have another form of income to keep regular commission prices low because I feel that I am slowly reaching an "unattainable" level for my work. I enjoy creating for all of you; however, some of you have really cool ideas!
My Patreon will include work posted everywhere else, the same sha-bang and spiel. You will also find PSDs as well as SBS processes of my work. That aside, something I felt ready for this time is creating a much more direct contact with my community. I've been supported throughout my entire journey and I felt that breaking the artist and community barrier the first step in creating unique stories. A discord is open for my gold and emerald tier supporters. The step-up has taken quite some time and I am still changing the flow of everything. If you have any suggestions, feel free to toss them my way!
I am also working on comics! Many of you have expressed much interest about goobits and due to time constraints this previous year and a half, I haven't been able to deliver on the world-building and story side of my creations. Let's change that! I am new to creative writing and would appreciate lots and lots of critique and advice, so let's build that foundation together.

Patreon! Patreon! Patreon!SUMMER 2023
General | Posted 2 years agoBack at it again! If you've been following me on Twitter, you know I recently graduated! 🥳🥳
I took a good month and a half break to unwind and do some small commissions here and there. I really didn't know what to do once I finished, my entire life has been working on school up until this point and now there is no more school, I needed a break to clear my head and find out the direction I wanted to pursue. Well, that direction is here; I want to continue creating artwork and stories for people to enjoy and share. That being said, I do need to pay the man who owns the roof over my head. I am looking to set up my Patreon once again (this time with Discord perks and community!) as well as start to write stories to transform into comics. I believe in sustainability with my work and flushing out the world I've created (goobits, rubber an' all) which requires some established characters and a story to go along with it! So keep your eyes peeled for that.
Now that summer has rolled around again and I have nothing to look forward to in the fall, I will be mainly focusing on this aspect of my life so do follow me here and over on twitter. I'm not sure about going back to streaming yet but I do want to build my community of people who've been following me since the start and those who recently found me! I understand there's already a lot of these servers out there and having another server is going to be rather frustrating to keep up with but my hope is to share more of my world and to finally connect with my fanbase. I hope you give me the chance to showcase what I've learned and want to show!
Till the next journal update, enjoy!

SUMMER 2022
General | Posted 3 years agoHey there,
Yeah you, it's been a while hasn't it?
Last you heard of me was sometime last year, I do hope your patience has paid off. I will be returning to more artwork and commissions for a short while; I have been itching to return to painting and creating more artwork for many like-minded individuals such as yourself. I may return to hiatus sometime in fall till next summer so let's make the best of the time we have together this year.
A little about my hiatus:
I lost drive and was burnt out. Pretty much all there was when it came to art. I had found that I was drawing for popularity's sake and overlooked many aspects of fetish that I so much appreciated just so I could count numbers and notifications. I found this unhealthy and still battling the ongoing urge to compare numbers. The hiatus was also due to school and attempting to finish schooling so I can finally settle down and do art. This has been a challenge and due to recent events, that goal is pushed back. That being said, it is nice to return and apply the skills and techniques I have been learning during my hiatus. I explored my own fetishes, attempting to discover what clicked and what didn't. I learned more programs to streamline my workflow and produce better art. In short, it was a break I very much needed.
But now, here we are once again.
I will be returning to Patreon but with many modifications: First of all, there will only be one tier that will grant access to PSDs, Hi-res and unwatermarked files, progression shots, and sketch ideas/thumbnails for commissions and personal work. I feel that my previous attempt at Patreon and splitting so many tiers made it difficult for me to catch up so I hope this solution will work. Though I do need to first figure out how to remove all subscribed patrons so that one poor fella who doesn't check emails doesn't get charged for the next 5 years without knowing. I do appreciate any support, especially if it is yours.
I will also be attending BLFC, I may show up at a couple of panels (though often it's not my thing), if you are interested, drop by and say hello. You can recognize me by either a grey wolf with green patterns or a Siamese cat badge. See you there!
Thank you for taking your time to read all this, it means a lot to me that my art has been able to reach your eyes and I hope I get to see you soon.

2021 Update
General | Posted 4 years agoHoly moly I have not been very active on this account on this website, I do apologize for the absence since I have moved to TWITTER .
That being said, I think FA has a better archive system than twitter so I will continue to upload my works on here and twitter!
Thank you to all the support you guys have given me and continued to follow this account after its long hiatus! I hope you enjoy works to come!
I will try to update you guys more often on my situations, recently Ive been having issues with my setup causing it to crash ever so often when running processes that take up large amounts of power such as photoshop or 3d modeling software. I'm working on trying to fix it asap but hopefully it won't affect it as much.
Also, I'll try streaming often as well! Since I got a generous donation from this boy rubber butto I will be on picarto , you can find me there!
Also, I will be taking a single commission next week to try out some experimental processes I've been working with! Depending on how fast I can get it out, I will probably open for another one or two in the following weeks.
Stay tuned and goop out!

May Commissions! Update!
General | Posted 5 years agoSo I just realized that people may not be accustom to my style of commissions! Here's kinda how it lays out.
I cap the number of responses to how many commissions i may be taking at the time. Since I'm doing only 2, I'll be capping responses at 10.
That doesn't mean just submit whatever, I hope those who are submitting a response are whole heartedly looking for a commission rather than taking a spot from someone else who would want one.
So I take 10 responses but I do not work on a first come first serve basis, I choose depending on the basis listed in my TOS.
Hopefully that clears things up! (I Will update my TOS with this information soon!!)
Heya, so my schedules finally opening up, I'll be taking two slots of commissions from now to the 10th of May. For those who are returning to my profile, please re-read my TOS and Commission sheet if you haven't already! For those who are new, please take a look and read through it all!
At the moment there are pieces that are missing from the gallery/commission sheet, (a character with gradient background, and a character with rendered background). I'm currently trying to fill these up so I may be more willing to take commissions of either of those two options!

May Update
General | Posted 5 years agoTerm is finally over! I'm absolutely exhausted but ready to embrace my quarantine summer!
After much thought, I've come to decide to start posting on Twitter and to create a Pateron due to a couple reasons. One being that pushing out art at the level (as of late) has been an extreme challenge during the semester. It's also something that I post extremely infrequently due to how long one of these pieces might take me. Two is to have more interaction with the people that follow me or want to know more about the process and what I do. Though I typically shy away from more of an online presence, I do have to note that this would motivate me to produce more.
That being said, the work I want to share is much more different than the work you see on my FA. I plan to experiment with different rendering styles for shiny and rubbery creatures and hope you all join me for the ride. I guess the end goal for me is to find a style that is both interesting but also fun to draw. With Pateron stuff, I don't see locking general content behind a paywall so work will be posted on the Twitter after a bit; however, video processes or psds will be Pateron only but I don't see that too much as a problem.
My goal is to be able to create more interesting and visually appealing art for the fandom/fetish and I am very willing to take critiques and guides/suggestions. At the moment, I've taken the idea of streaming ever so often more seriously and plan to start doing so often. I do understand the possible pitfalls of what I've listed above as people typically follow artists for a style they enjoy but as time has gone by, I've learned that repetitiveness tires and bores me greatly. Of course I will be keeping the rendering style I have already established as a center point (or point of cohesion) to my work.
I hope this interests at least some of you and maybe enjoy the work that is to come. Hopefully with more consistency comes with intriguing practices and more enjoyment from my followers and watchers!

TwitterApril Update
General | Posted 5 years agoI hope you're all safe and doing well!
Due to the coronavirus, schools has been moved onto online which hasn't been the best for most people I know and motivation.
At the moment I have a couple of things lined up that I want to work on and post but as finals are drawing closer and closer, I don't think I will be able to stay too active for all of April and maybe a little bit start of May.
Remember to wash your hands often and sanitize your phones!

General | Posted 6 years agoThank you to all who shared their insight on the previous journal! 💖💖
I've learned a lot and I'm very thankful! The journal will still be there for anyone who wants to read and whatnot.
Back to drawie~
EDIT: I also so so so wanna make a twitter for this account but already juggling this and my other accounts and school work, I'm going to end up burning out very fast.
Maybe during the summer for a short period of time I will make a twitter to interact with if people are interested :)) do some streams, draw some of your guys rubbery goops, etc

Identity of a Hero, Reveal or don't Reveal?
General | Posted 6 years agoRecently, one of the artists I followed deleted their account, on FA, on Twitter. They took down their posts on e621 and various websites and it got me really wondering. Here's some background information:
I was browsing through twitter tags when I came across this artist and it took me half a second to say, "Hey, this art style looks very familiar" (To keep the privacy of this artist, I won't give the name, if you know who this is, I politely ask you do the same). I looked at their main Instagram account and connected the dots pretty easily.
This artist has deleted their account before and made posts apologizing when they returned to FA and Twitter. Though I had not known of this artist (as an NSFW artist) before their first activities on the web, the journal posts made it obvious that they were trying to avoid some kind of connection from their NSFW work and their professional work. They made journals about the freedom of NSFW and what it meant to have it be a big part of their lives, etc, etc. There were journals in which I agreed with, other's that I did not, however, that did not make me look at the artist's art any different. They were skilled in their craft and moreover in their storytelling.
But as you know, they've since taken down their profiles to avoid the drawing of lines between their professional work and personal work. That got me thinking and thus making this post.
I won't say I'm also not guilty of this but it seems that many NSFW artists online and people I know in person, tend to hide their NSFW work separate from their SFW and professional work. Whether this is through personal matters, trying to avoid professional repercussions or simply because they were afraid of their fetishes or sexual desires leaking into their personal life. In more recent times, however, I've come to accept that part of me and is something I don't think I could live without.
Back last year when I dropped off the face of the earth, I was very scared of people finding out about my FA and very much so about my fetishes and such. I denied the fact that I had such a profile and tend to keep to myself. It was only in recent times did I figure, who cares if people see this part of me? I understand that I may not be in a position as the artist I have talked about or have very professional standing, but in my opinion, if I were denied a job because of what I drew on my extra time, it's not a job that I want to take anymore.
I put as a note that people's fetishes differ from one another. Someone like Nesskain Hks on artstation/twitter has a (not very hidden) NSFW profile in which they are open about their bara body type and anthro cravings, something I see as very vanilla (not to throw shade). That being said, when it comes to say, me or taanrak with our shiny and goo fetishes, would artists in similar situations be more inclined to share their NSFW work or would it be something more that you decide to keep a secret?

That being said, I wanted to hear your guy's stories, whether you are an artist or a commissioner or neither and simply enjoy viewing art that is put out there, what is your take on the "reveal, don't reveal" aspect of all this? Are you hesitant to show your work from friends in general or are you inclined to share if somebody were to ask? Are your friends the type that you hang out with in general? Are your friends open about their fetishes?I put as a note that people's fetishes differ from one another. March Update
General | Posted 6 years agoWhew woo, still a bunch of work but a couple of questions I want to ask!
What do you guys think of the backgrounds of my most recent pieces? If you guys haven't noticed already, they're 3d models to streamline my setup to make it both easier on me to work with but also more aesthetically pleasing (hopefully) for the piece. Is this something you guy's like? Is it too much? Too little? I wanna hear your thoughts!
On the note of commissions, I still won't be opening up for full commissions any time soon but I do want to open up a couple (later this month maybe) to do a couple of pin ups. Like I mentioned some time ago, I want to work with color so I may be limiting these couple slots to characters that are not black in color. Are you guys interested in something like this?
