Heyo all! Finishing up a round of sketchy comms for Mayternity soon - figured I'd make a waitlist to organize more interest. To start working on this weekend/next week!

Hello all!! Happy May!

Going to introduce something new here this month, new tier! Setting a financial goal of paying off an old credit card by end of year and any extra support goes a long way to help! Also trying to hit the annoying payment limit on SubscribeStar so support over there is preferred over Patreon if you haven't switched lol. But as always the content will parallel!

(afaik if you upgrade early it pays the difference and may change the cycle date, but let me know of any difficulty/problems there)

The old system of sketch rewards for everyone was a bit too hectic for me, as learned, and I don't feel comfortable bringing it back. But I do want to involve y'all more for those who want to support higher (much appreciated!!), so here's a balance! Keeping in line with raised commission prices but offering an art chance.

This tier introduces a suggestions/character pool, where you can submit a suggestion each month (sfw/nsfw/some kinks) with your OCs, rule34 chars, or even just my OCs (can pair up), and they'll have a high priority to be worked on but not guaranteed each month. Released as high-res and low-res with same 1-month early access cycle whenever completed. Standard NSFW hard no's to cub, zoo, non-con.

Also noting a small restructure - putting the timelapses up into the $5 tier as it feels a little unbalanced. Only change there! These are currently only on discord as I'm finding a good way to host videos. We'll still have the general ideas discussion if I'm idea hunting but the suggestions will be much higher weight.

Hello all!! Question for my fellow artists:
What's the motivational secret to actually cleaning up sketches/lining and not leaving all my creatures in very rough sketch stages lol. Not even the most crisp, thin lineart you've ever seen, just something cleaned up beyond the rough sketch (I've been enjoying using textured brushes lately, testing more all the time).

I'd say the motivation and desire is there, the inertia(?) to actually line isn't, I keep getting stuck with blocks like this and I'd like more clean works finished. I've been happy with my rough sketching/WIPs, I just get weirdly stuck with actually completing the pieces beyond this point and it's pretty frustrating (for myself and trying to finish pieces for commissioners!). Wouldn't say it's a battle of "I need to lineart to be happy with art", I WANT more pieces like this and can't reach that goal consistently. It's a cycle I want and need to break.

Anything y'all know/do around this kind of art block is much appreciated, you can help rescue dozens of WIP creatures 😅

OC Date Night YCH
This is my big project for the month! At the beginning of February (will lock in a date soon) there will be a YCH posted where you can pick one of my 14 OCs (not including Helio) to get a sketch commission with as a little Valentines/date night thing. Ideas can be SFW or NSFW, both welcomed! As of right now, my plan is to do one OC per person, and they will NOT be auction slots, just flat price based on which tier you like. Prices will be announced before the true posting as well, still finalizing my new sketch prices.

Reminders will be posted in advance so you know it's coming up for no surprises! My plan is to work on one of these pieces every day from Feb 14th - 28th to stagger the work and provide a schedule of completion.

So this is a project far out in the future lol, but I think it would be cool to have a sort of defined universe for comic stuff, like 9Tales or Insomiacovrlrd's works.

The question I'm stuck on in this early phase is do I pull from my current list of OCs, or would people like to see original characters just for that side of things? Either way seems cool, but given that my current OCs are already fairly developed and have their place closer to me, starting something new seems like it may be better and fun as they're less close to me and more for other people to enjoy, but also pretty difficult to design and figure that out lol. There's points for both ways, I want to hear what y'all think!
