Trying to gauge some interest here for a variety of reasons (doodles, future comic idea, commissions) about who you'd like to see paired up from my list of OCs (not including Helio here).

Opinions Wanted! Style Shift for Commissions

So I've started up this new style of pieces for Inktober, where they're very quick lined pieces in a sketchier style as opposed to the full rendered style with super clean lines, and simple yet atmospheric backgrounds. I absolutely love this style, it's fast and surprisingly clean for the amount of time put in (~less than 2 hours). Not to mention really fun! Full renders look very nice but are a pain to line and get precise, I almost feel they're a bit limiting vs the sketchier pieces bringing out more of a style to them.
What are your thoughts? Particularly for commissions, would y'all prefer me offering pieces like these as opposed to the full renders? Offer both but have the render at a higher price to accommodate the larger effort? Thinking about restructuring the tiers to introduce this style as I believe it's the most efficient/best of my abilities, but I want to hear from y'all!

Posted 4 years agoHello all! For mine and everyone's sake, putting together all the upcoming plans I've got for jumping back into arting while I'm on this groove 👀
Any feedback or other things you'd like to see are welcomed! Not set in stone but these are my likely plans going forward:
- Occasional YCHs, aiming for one a month! (Two being finished up now)
- Regular commission queue (being worked on now, will periodically open only 1-2 slots at a time to prevent a backlog)
- Patreon with high res art, sketch rewards, and suggesting/voting on a monthly full render with my characters (hoping to launch this weekend!). Will have early access to the monthly post and sketch rewards, all other posts will be uploaded to FA when completed
- Sketch streams! No set schedule but a nice way to get practice in, will announce when I am planning one ahead of time!

Opinions on Unlimited YCHs
Posted 4 years agoHeyo everyone! :D (I need to get better at posting here, yikes)
Still working along through commissions and those on the waitlist, really struggling to break that art block from gestures wildly going on, but things have been going much more smoothly in life now that I've moved to a better place/better job! Will be trying better to organize how these things run, I apologize and thank you all for your patience through this stuff.
I've been thinking of other ways to help raise funds since original comms are great but take some time, and I think a YCH could be interesting to try and much faster to get finished pieces out. But I wanted to ask y'all for opinions on unlimited YCHs? Like the same poses being used for multiple characters, as opposed to one YCH being a single piece. It seems much faster and still allows for variety between characters, but I know that it just recycles the pose and I've heard mixed things from people on receiving work like that. However I could get a lot more art to more people that way which is a huge plus (and the idea I have features picking between my fox characters for extra variety 👀, and allowing small expression changes/etc). Let me know below!

Posted 4 years agoHahaaaa so I finally landed another retail job after moving, but it was a pay cut and it'll be a hot minute until I get paid. But bills don't stop :)
So with that! I'm planning on looking into how to open comms, working on the info now and plan to have prices up by tomorrow if I can.
I'll do regular comms as well but themed things can really fun, seeking ideas for themed comms! Already planning on a "date night" idea with any of my foxes + your character, but open to any and all things you'd like to see!

Hey everyone, so I'm facing the possibility of losing work for who knows how long as a student because of this virus... so looks like I'm going to have to high tail (pun intended) it and get back into commissions. Which means getting over this art block too and that hasn't been going well
What kind of things would you guys like to see? YCHs, YCHs with my chars, regular sketches, etc, trying to pull ideas together to start things up

Heyo! Just floating through to let everyone know I'm still here xD
As some of you know I just went through the general and physics GRE exams within the past two weeks, which has been absolute hell on top of everything else this semester, but I know I at least did well on the general one (scores take forever lol)! The past few weeks have been insane, but still nailing assignments and finally got a day off today to truly chill! This week is a bit more laid back before getting back to the most stressful part of the semester, but the end is finally in sight and I get to top it off with a trip to San Francisco immediately after :D

Semester Update!

So I have just made a pretty big decision, I was supposed to graduate late (next fall) because of an extra course that screwed up my schedule, but after talking to friends and professors I have decided to drop that course and graduate on time. Though this means I had to pick up two extra courses this semester, so I'm now packed with senior courses, work, and planning the next steps after graduating (the big stress™).
In the long run it'll be worth the insane amount of stress I'm about to throw myself into lmao, but unfortunately it's gonna take up a lot of my time to focus on getting through, so I'm gonna be a lot less active in the next few months. But I will be here when I can, and will always be reachable if needed! Just might take a bit to respond lol
To those in the art queue -- your patience is incredible and I assure you I have not forgotten about anyone. It's been bugging me quite a bit that I haven't been able to catch up, so I will be making an effort to get back into art this semester as well (also so I don't go insane from just classes, lol). If you have any concerns about this, I will always be open!

Spending the summer up in Boston doing research, have been up here for a few weeks now and it's been awesome! Feels great to get that bread with a job that's actually really enjoyable instead of campus jobs lol. Trying to squeeze in art with everything else, still making some behind the scenes progress!

Spending the summer up in Boston doing research, have been up here for a few weeks now and it's been awesome! Feels great to get that bread with a job that's actually really enjoyable instead of campus jobs lol. Trying to squeeze in art with everything else, still making some behind the scenes progress!

@ everyone I follow, I apologize for incoming fav spam soon I have been too busy/stressed to clean out the submissions folder and am finally doing it lol, almost 14k D:
Hope everyone is doing good! Semester wrapped up with a 3.15 GPA which was better than expected, so a nice confidence boost lol. Also have upcoming summer plans, will be in Boston for a few weeks working, is going to be awesome! More on that later :D
