It's finally almost spring break for me, and I'll be taking a trip down to Texas for the first time for it! So ready to get out of this cold again lol. So I won't be free to draw over break but once the semester settles down a little (it's midterm season D:) I want to try some practice stuff so that will be on the table soon!

Also I'm hearing back from summer opportunities now so I'll have big news there soon too! Shaping up to be a good year for this stuff :D

Hey everyone! I'm alive lol, been neglecting here and art lately, that's on me ;u;

So I have kind of fallen into a rut with art, was able to do some background work today but have really been struggling to work on sketches especially, I don't know if I'm just not happy with the results or I've fallen out of practice, I've got a block of some kind lol. I want to work to fix this!

I was given the suggestion to try to do some detailed work on art studies, and things I want to focus on especially are anatomy and expressions. I would like to try to make something of it, so I was wondering if you guys had any things you'd like to see me attempt? This is more like ways to practice as opposed to direct suggestions/requests lol, stuff like "a character expression sheet" or different species, certain expressions or poses, just vague ideas I can work on as I work to generally improve.

Thank you all so much for sticking around despite the lack of activity (especially for those in the queue, I feel really bad for taking this long). I want to get back into things, I just really need to step it up and work to find that inspirational spark again. So if you've got concepts let me know! I finally have a semester where big things are more spread out so I want to try to establish a schedule with time set aside for art.

And have some awesome music to finish it out (especially that Pokemon XY Route 15 bit <3)

Big news time! From tomorrow afternoon to next Friday I'll be traveling to Phoenix, AZ for a career related conference! This is my first time flying anywhere (let alone across the country, by myself, all firsts lol) and I'm super excited! Also super stressed about flying but we'll see how that goes once on the plane lol. I won't be active here on FA during this, so hope you all have a great week! Make sure to draw all sorts of fox art for when I get back 👀

I surviiiiiived another finals week (barely lol), am now halfway through junior year!

Was a really rough week, but managed to make it through with some finals that went well, getting grades back still but did fairly well in most classes! Am now home for break, with some fun stuff going on 👀

First one is as of last night, finally ordered all the parts I need to build my own PC! So I can not only have more fun gaming (instead of lowest settings and horrible loading times lol), but this means I might be able to dive back into 3D work! Because my laptop did not like Blender at all lol, but I had some room to really treat-yoself on this PC so it should be a bit of a powerhouse. And thanks to Amazon prime, will be getting the parts and should have it built by early this week! :D

And also, in early January I'll be traveling to Phoenix for a school conference! I've never flown before, let alone across the country, so I'm excited af for this trip, it's gonna be a blast (but also terrifying taking a solo flight across the country lol). Kicking off 2019 with some greatness 👌

For 2019 I want to get Helio an actual ref sheet, with some details about him that I haven't really gotten around to working on yet, like a possible accessory & really toying with the idea of his rings being able to glow like the northern lights that were his inspiration, just a fun little detail :D

Anyone know any good artists for ref sheets? Budget is around $100 for the max I'd say, as much as I like supporting artists my college-student-wallet does not lol. Could save up for one though!

Ok so school's gonna be a bit busy this week, but as I work on other comms (and will finish first!), had an idea for something in the future (because 2019 is gonna be a busy travel year, need that cash moneeeeey)

I've seen the idea done similarly before, where it's something of the sorts of picking a character, and getting to do something (sfw or nsfw!) with them, either being in charge of the idea or having partial say & the character having a bit of an idea of what they want to do too. Latter could be fun to help bring out their personalities more :o

And since I have an abundance of female fox chars lmao (maaaybe Helio available, gotta think there lol), thought it'd be a fun idea as an excuse to get more art of the foxes too!

If there's any interest or more ideas to expand on it, please let me know! Want to try doing some more fun stuff to keep the art train rolling better. Especially next semester when I'm down to 12 credits and will actually have time for things! :D

EDIT: I'm really liking the idea of an ask blog that was mentioned, this will be worked on too! Something as a side project, was given the idea for something like having the characters answer questions in sketches, with tipping allowed for higher quality sketches etc. This would be really fun!

The cable to connect my tablet to my laptop got damaged, and I need to get a new one. Price isn't an issue since it's a little cable, but I want to make sure I get the right one. Does a Wacom Bamboo take any micro-USB cable or does it have to be Wacom Bamboo specific?

Heyo guys! So in addition to working on commissions, I want to try mixing it up w/ some personal stuff so I don't get burnt out w/ comms (you've probably seen some of the meme-y doodles I cleaned up a bit and posted xD), but I want to try something new!

Wanted to try a comic of some sort, just a couple pages and nothing too big, but more of a larger project than something I've tried before. I need ideas though! I want to do something with my characters for this (or if you're a close friend and have ideas with your own mixed with mine, might be down to try it!), SFW or NSFW.

If you've got ideas, drop them below or let me know somehow! Just doing this to test the waters of a comic, maybe opening up a path for future projects with polls and stuff for inputs, maybe even a patreon, etc. Stuff to look for on the horizon if it works out :D

So update September is looking to be amazingggggg - have been planning to go to an Owl City concert when they come to my city out at school for a while now, but as of an hour ago me and some friends have secured tickets to go see Ninja Sex Party in NYC on Sept 12th and I'm HYPED AF for two concerts next month

That being said, this has been a lot of money lol, especially NSP because NYC is a hella expensive city. So just a reminder that commissions are open! Have got a few queued up, but I've pretty much got all of August free (especially this weekend when I'll be home alone the whole time, I plan on lots of art), if you'd like one now's the time!

The camp job certainly had it's ups and downs, but overall it was a pretty great summer and it was pretty sad leaving, but it feels great to be home at the same time! I definitely missed air conditioning and wifi lmao

Heyo guys! Am back home for the night, getting a little time home before continuing with the summer lol

Have survived 2 weeks of program so far, been lots of stress & overworking (12+ hr days every day, eugh), but otherwise things have been going great! Ended up meeting someone on staff this year, and as of last week her and I have started "going out" (is weird because we already live and do everything together in the camp lmao, even in off-time), and I've been much happier & doing a lot better in general since then and aaaaaaa I just had to share the wholesome vibes <3

Hope your guys's June went good! July's shaping up to be a really hot start, not looking forward to these very humid 100+ heat index days... ;p
