Hey everyone! Uh I know y'all had to see these journals all day probably, butt I wanted to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends who celebrate the day. I gotta take some precautions though...hence the security detail provided by Rainbow :P.

Today was a good day. Went down to Detroit and saw the parade, good show. Then I went to my Grandma's house for dinner. That's what I love about this holiday, FREE FOOD! XD

We all knew how this would begin...but I don't think anyone knew how it would end...

1 year...1 year of contesting for this job...hell it was more than 1 year...

Ultimately it came down to 2 people.

The game is over.

America has selected Senator Barack Obama, Democrat, Illinios, as her 44th President.

Already I see people rejoicing here on FA.

Now you all know me.

I'm going to be brutally honest: I am disappointed that Senator John McCain did not win.

Am I angry? Do I hate America? Do I want to give Senator, excuse me, President Obama one of my infamous headshots?

No.

This is America's choice. America picked Obama, and so be it.

I'll shake his hand, and I'll stand behind him. I'll be watching him closely, but I will not dissent unless he does something incredibly stupid.

I know that Obama doesn't really want to impose socialistic views on my family, or take all of my money. He just wants to do what he feels is best for this country.

Both Obama and McCain just wanted to do what they thought was best for this country, and for that they are both patriots, no matter what you say.

So much has changed now though...

The Economy is a mess. Those on the far left call for views that can be modestly described as Socialism, and those on the right say it's the fault of both parties.

The scarcity of oil is beginning to take it's toll. OPEC is trying whatever they can now to drive up prices and hold America hostage.

Day by day it's becoming apparent that the Iraq War has been won (again). There are talks now to transfer power to the Iraqi government. I can say that I am nearing the point where I can support withdrawal/re-focusing of the troops without any thoughts of wrongdoing or missteps.

Now let's be honest here: Nobody really knows what the hell Obama is going to do as President. He may be a committed leftist, he might be a centrist, he may be a friend to the Republicans, we just don't know.

If he is as centrist as he claims to be though, then all is not lost.

The far left saw this election as a way to gain control of the Government. Their goal was to get Obama elected, and to get control of Congress. Obama is in, but they still don't have a firm grip on Congress.

And Obama may turn against the leftists. I hope that he understands how dangerous the far left loons are, and take a moderate stance, and that's really all I can ask of him.

So I guess in the end, this is a victory, because the far left has failed.

Still...there is one thing that I can't get out of my mind...and I'm ripping off The Matrix: Reloaded for this, but meh...

There's one question that bugs me:

What if America is wrong?

What if we made a huge mistake tonight?

What if Obama turns out to be another politician, and his policies and promises are a bunch of bullshit?

Well by 2012 we may all be dead...but how would that be different than any other term since 9/11?

This is a new world. Anything can change in a flash. Death can come at any time, at any place.

But consider the alternative:

What if America is right?

What if Obama will make good?

What if the next 4 years will usher in a new ear of peace?

And that's really all I was hoping to happen tonight: for America to make the right choice.

Whether or not we made the right choice tonight will reveal itself in the days ahead.

But I'm not here to talk about how these 4 years will end...I'm here to talk about how they will begin.

People have talked about uniting behind Obama...this is a good sign.

Again I'll be honest: I did not want Obama to win, I wanted McCain to win.

But I will support Obama, unless he gives me a damn good reason not too.

In 2000, President Bush lost support from about 1/3 of the American people because of the election fiasco.

I'm not making that same mistake.

The partisan bickering ends now. We all knew that about half of the country was going to be disappointed tomorrow morning, but resentment towards the outcome is not a reason to hate on your President.

Obama will be our President, and I feel the need to support him, because he's going to be looking out for us.

I mean, it's been fun biting the heads off each other, watching people bicker over partisan differences. Putting up signs, and dressing up as candidates, and posting rants against the opposing party, it's been fun.

But the game is over now.

These next 4 years are going to be tough. Obama isn't going to just wave a magic wand and make all our problems go away (to those that actually bought that, I'm sorry :P).

It's time to unite America. It's time to remind the world why we kick tail. We're going to tell the far left loons that they can't just expect to walk in and run the place, we're going to show Osama Bin Laden who's boss, and we're going to remind the world why we're proud to be Americans.

Don't be surprised if McCain ends up in the cabinet. Obama is going to have to go bi-partisan to unite the country. The far left is not going to get in so easy.

It's been a long and hard battle, and it's been fun.

But the game is over now.

And it's time to get on with the job.

Congratulations to John McCain for running an effective campaign, and I thank you for your service to this nation.

Congratulations to President Obama. You have been appointed to the most powerful position in the West, and perhaps the world.

And frankly, Mr. President, I offer a word of advice:

We have chosen you to be our leader.

Don't mess it up.

Do America proud Barack Obama, 44th President of these United States.

Soooo The Orange Box takes the cake again: I've been playing on the CC2 furry servers in Team Fortress 2 for about the past week. I've managed to get my stats up, especially as a scout, and I've met some cool people, like Nikky the Demovixen, Dr.Jones, Endeavour 3D, Renamon the Yiffer, and others. Took a buncha pics too.

Also been messin a bit with the Source movie recorder. Took 2 TF2 movies so far, and redcorded the barn breakout scene in Half Life 2: Episode Two. I might seek means to post them soon.

So agianst all common sense, they're holding a convention here in the once great state of Miiichigann. Specificly in the city of Ann Arbor

At least there's a con here, so I dun have to go to great lengths X>

Regrettibly I can't attend. The Con falls on the date I take the ACT for the 5th, and hopefully last, time. Life of a junior is hard :P But hey, it's all gonna be worth it when I get into Univeristy of Michigan (the main campus of which is incedentally located in Ann Arbor).

Sooo for those attending, here's some advice on how to survive Michigan.

1. COME PREPARED FOR WEATHER! Weather in Michigan can change on the fly. It can go from a sunny day to a downpour in a matter of minutes. Some say it's global warming, but the fact is weather in Michigan is a gamble :P

The average temps in Ann Arbor at this time of year range from 38-59 degrees F. Also forcast is showing rain over the weekend, with possible snow on Sunday. So agian, come prepared :p

2. While you're in Ann Arbor, take a look at some of the sights aroudn the city! Aside from the University of Michigan, there's alot of things there. Lots of trees as well, which is good news for you fellow avians ;>

3. VERY IMPORTANT! IF YOU ARE WEARING ANYTHING THAT IS SUPPORTIVE OF OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT COME WITHIN 100 YARDS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN CAMPUS.

4. Have fun! It's a bloody convention for crying out loud! Gonna have lots of good programing, 2 The Ranthing Gryphon (also native to Michigan) will be there, it's gonna be great!

So ya unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the Free Tibet protests are getting wild, and China is not liknig it, hell it looks like they're close to starting a civil war over it.

Today it got worse. The Olympic Torch relay in Paris was cancelled after protesters tried to get the Torch (it had to be snuffed out and re-lit 3 TIMES!!), and FOX just reported that Protesters are scaling the Golden Gate Bridge to spread the message, and Hillary Clinton may be calling for a boycott of the games.

Soo agian I ask the question: How did this happen, and who is to blame?

There's a little too much history for me, but what I can gather is that Tibet, a region in China, was a soverign state between the rise and fall of empires, and was incorporated into China when the Communist "People's Republic" took over. According to the movement, Tibet is independant, and PRC rule is illegal.

So is the PRC really to hold all the blame here? Most, but not all IMO.

There's 2 good quotes, one is from one of my favorite songs: For what it's worth, by Buffalo Springfield:

Also a quote from "Lord of War" starring Nicholas Cage:

So let's take a look at who's to blame for what:

China:

This country, one of the fastest developing in the world, is also one of the sloppiest IMO.

The Communist PRC has had an iron grip on China for the last 50 years, everything in the country is state-controlled. The TV, the Press, even the Internet. Heck, they only import like 3 American movies a year.

The PRC clearly is making this mess worse by punishing anyone who differs from the ideas of their supreme leaders.

This restriction on human rights has always kept the PRC on a sour note with me. See here in America, we have the freedom to speak and think as we see fit.

I mean really, if you want to accuse Bush of being a terrorist, or demand that the US convert to Islam with Sharia law, go ahead and do so. I might not like it, hell I might want to kick you down several flights of stairs, but it's your right to do so, so go on.

The PRC is behaving like INGSOC from 1984. They are demanding that it's citizens belive that 2+2=5 because a growing number of them are saying that 2+2=4.

Also, China has alot at stake here. They won the vote to host the Olympics 51% to 49%, so they BARLEY won. They don't have something to prove persay, but alot is on the line.

And by punishing IT'S OWN CITIZENS because they do not agree with the ideals of the old men in the Government, they are just digging themselfs into a bigger and bigger hole.

Oh, and their spaceships are copies of the Russian ones ^v^

Now for the other side:

More sympathetic with their cause, I could not be.

But it's PAINFULLY obvious that they're exploiting the international attention on China to spread their message.

And it's working too well.

Protests are spreading up all around the world, including the US. I like seeing that actually, I mean it's a refreshing sight to see, as opposed to the fact that alot of Americans don't seem to care about what happens to Iraq, as long as it dosen't involve us.

But what I don't like, is that the Free Tibet movement is trying to disrupt the Olympics.

Countries are considering boycotts already.

I mean c'mon, THIS IS THE OLYMPICS FFS!

The Olympics are a time of peace and brotherhood, a time when opposing armies lay down their arms and compete in events of sportsmanship and fellowship (and go back to chopping off each other's heads afterwards of course :P).

Agian, I support their cause, but I don't support a disruption of a Global event.

I mean, the Olympic Flame had to be snuffed and relit 3 TIMES today during the Paris relay, and then it was cancelled all together, and demonstraters are planning to do this agian. That's just redicoulous.

All I ask is that the movement try to leave the games alone, the Olympics were already cancelled twice, no need to go for #3.

And so that's it. I honeslty don't know who to root for in this whole mess, but I hope that it ends soon, and the Olympics of 2008 won't go down as a "never was."

Everyone seems pretty goddamned mad with America for one reason or another, to the extent that the motto of the world now is "When in doubt, blame America."

Alot of Americans are angry at America, most of the time tis is because they see the protests and anti-american paintings in Iran, Iraq, and other countries and think "if they hate us, we must be doing somethign wrong!" but there are a select few...


So many people are asking "Why do you hate America"

Well I'm gonna ask a question that so few seem to be asking:


"What can America do to make you respect us, and see us as a force of good, and a benefactor to all the world."

Now go on and say what you wish, I would like to hear responses.

HOWEVER:

If your response is "GTFO out of Iraq" then at least give me a REASON. A reason WHY we should leave (back up with stats if you can), and how it would be better ofr everyone if we did.

Some of y'all are probably wondering why my 68-submision gallery full of SL screes got turned into a 5-submission gallery with a pic of Krystal, the moon, and other odds and ends.

Well apparently SOMEONE complained to the admins that me, my friend  blazger and 2 others were spamming the system with them.

Ok I tried to keep cool about all this, but I have a limit, and it's about to get real ugly up in here.

First: To the person that said I was spamming: YOU'RE FULL OF SHIT! You tried to spin it to make it look like I was spammnig the site. I belive your words were "Blatant disregard of the AUP"

How can I have disregard for something THAT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE?!

Lets look at the AUP shall we,mainly the part about SL.

Second Life screenshots are only permitted when showcasing an avatar created by or for the user, and will be limited to no more than three (3) submissions per User, per avatar. Purchased Avatars not created by or for the User or modifications of purchased avatars are not permitted. Excess submissions will be removed by Administration.

Users wishing to display multiple angles of the same Avatar are encouraged to create a collage (a single image consisting of multiple screenshots).


Okay, this is what's wrong with it:

It's based on the By You/For You policy, which is just anti-SL.


Basicaly the policy is that if you didn't make it, or it wasn't made for you, you can't post it. Simple on paper right?

Simple in the real world? Wrong. That policy explicitly bans SL screenshots. SL Screenshots are never totally original, as everything in SL was made by someone else, unless you're the developer, but even then developers use materials from other sources right?

Take for example my Avatar: No I did not make it, but I CUSTOMIZED it. Unfortuantly it's too subtle for FA. I changed the height, and the eye and hair color. It's not original, but it's CUSTOMIZED. Sorry if that's not good enough no?

Same thing with  blazger okay so his AV wasn't original too, but agian he Customized it.

Another thing to the people dissing us SL users that take pics and call them unoriginal. WELL UNLESS YOU'RE GOD, NOTHING IS ORIGINAL!!!

Everything is inspired from SOMETHING.

For example, let's look at  noramyr who made the phoenix AV. Now I think she did a FAN-TAS-TIC job on it, and I will worship her forever for letting me beta test it.

But anyone that's read Extinctioners can see that there's some physical similarities between the AV, and the character Phenix (hot phoenix girl). I'm willing to bet that Nora lent Phenix's physical likeness to the av. (But IMO, the female version looks nothing like Phenix).

Okay that aside. The SL Policy flip flops more times in a minute than John Kerry does in a day.

It says that only 3 screenies may be uploaded if they fit the policy right? And purchased avatars are not permitted.

Well there's only so many developers of AV's in SL. Nora is the only one I know that has an account here.

So I'm sorry that I can't make a fucking avatar, and instead customize a kickass one for my own char. Something that's done to death in art. The blame's on you FA, but you can put the blame on me.


Another thing. It says that excess submissions outside of 3 pics wil lbe removed as they are considered spam, but collages are welcome.

Now I know I spammed a bit the series of me having my way with  symgryphon,  lessashuftan, and  wintermist I was planning to make those into collages eventually.

But let's say for a moment that i actually MADE my own shit in SL. I fill my gallery with pics of my stuff. Someone shouts "SPAM" and it gets nuked. And I make them into collages, and suddenly they're ok huh?

So if I was to condense 68 images into 3, I can upload them agian?! OH WAIT! THEY'RE NOT ORIGINAL! MY LUCK!

Seems like the only SL users FA wants pics from are the developers, which are few and are i nbetween.

Then it gets worse.

The Admins get on my tail telling them to take down my screenies.

Now may I say before, that I got into trouble based on my SL screenies before (see previous journals) but they did NOTHING. Not to mention I caused an uproar on the fourms 2 previous times.

So they had 3 CHANCES to tell me to take them down, and they did NOTHING.

Suspicious if you ask me.

Anyway, sooo I send PM to admins asking what to take down. They repeat the same AUP bullshit.

So my reply? "Look this makes no sense, so I won't do anything, but you can take them down if you really want to."

I forgot to say, that it took 30 MINS to get rid of my "In trouble" screenshots. 30 mintues wasted if you ask me.

Sooo they take down screenies, all is good right?

This site is taking an anti-SL bias weither they want to admit it or not.

Now the admins here are I belive respectable people. THey arn't power hungry, they arn't corrupt, and they care abotu the site.

They pick on them because they're taking photographs in SL. Well PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ART TO! Maybe it dosen't seem like it, but I spent ALOT of time on my shots, trying to get them right! I only posted the best ones, I have over 600 SL shots on my PC, and alot of them are crap and will never see the light of day.

They say SL shots are spam. Well I bet that wouldn't be the case if during the last upgrade, the site wasn't downgraded to a SLOWER connection. I belive the whole point of upgrades it to INCREASE the specs right?

Agian they use the By You/For You crap to say that SL isn't 100% original. Well agian unless you're GOD , NOTHING is 100% original.

And let me tell you something about Sym. At least shi's benefiting her coomunity in REAL life. Shi's a cartpusher at Wal-Mart. Now she's tired, and hurtin, and hir job has put her through hell, but shi's still out there, helping people get from point A to point B with as little difficulty as possible. And shi's a great friend, and I love hir to death, and I'm god damned proud to know hir.

I have a first life as well. When I'm not doing my studies, I'm an actor for the communtiy theatre. And over the summer, I work maintence on a golf course. I help serve my community year round, and prepare for the future at the same time.

And those that hate SL, what are they doing? Probably bashing it cause their PC's cant run it or whatnot. So they hole up in their basements, and make a ruckus to the admins.

I didn't want to bring up the Cub Art thing, but frankly, with the biases for cubs and agianst SL, sounds like the only furres that SL haters want posting here are the ones that are a cross between Leo DaVinci and Michael Jackson.

So I'm sorry that I can't draw, I'm sorry that I threatend to make the site implode by uploading my own version of art.

And I'm sorry to all the users here that are getting blasted for posting SL screens. YOU DESERVE BETTTER.

As soon as I can find a new site, I'm gettin the hell out, cause I've had it. Either the AUP is reformed, or I take a hike.

And it's in the admins best interest if they reform the AUP.

SL users take up a good percentage of the user base here. Is it worth losing a chunk of the users here because people hate SL?

If FA bans SL screens all together, then it's shooting itself in the foot. I won't say it'll bring the site down, but there's no question it'll almost be like hammering a nail into the coffin.

Firstly, thanks for the reponses to my last journal.

Now while I agree with some of the ponits made, I disagree with others.

Those who know me can guess I have a whole arsenal of insults and politcal artlillary to use agiast those views, but I will hold off on them this time.

Everyone on this Earth knows right and wrong. They may not have the good grace to know which is which, but everyone certianly has the right to BE wrong.

And as I belive 9/11 should be about rememberance rather than politics, I will give them that right.

Good evening,

Allow me first to apologize for this interruption, I like many of you enjoy the every day life, the browsing of webpages, the pawing off to pornography, the playing of games, I enjoy it as much as any other guy.

But in the spirit of commemoration, where events such as the death of a man, or the end of some awful bloody struggle, are celebrated with a nice holiday,

I thought we could mark this Patriots Day, September 11th, a day that is sadly no long remembered by many, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.

There are of course those who do not wish to hear me speak. I suspect even as I write this, comments will soon follow in the form of flames sent to my inbox.

Why? Becuase while a blog may be used in leiu of conversation, words always retain their power, words offer the means to the meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.

And the truth is, there's something terribly wrong with the world today, isn't there?

Right now my country is in a costly, and increasingly unpopular, war in the country of Iraq. A country whos leader promoted intolerance, oppresion, genocide, war, and where here we have the Freedom to think and speak as we see fit, in the reign of Saddam Hussein, there were censors, and men silencing anyone who thought differently than their supreme leader.

There are some people in the area known as the Mideast that wish to see the destruction of the USA, and Israel.

One man in particular, Osama Bin Laden, and 19 of his agents thought that so much, that they convinced themselfs it was their god-given right to kill.

And so, 6 years ago today, 19 men single-handidly murdered nearly 3,000 Americans and destroyed a national symbol, each shouting before they commited their horrible acts: "Allahu Akbar!" (God is the greatest).

How did this happen?

Who is to blame?

Well certianly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable.

Just who is responsible ranges from person to person, people such as Osama Bin Laden, George W. Bush, and others are chosen as the masterminds, with reponsibility shifting from the al-Qaeda extremist cell to the US Government in the eyes of the people.

Truth be told, if another attack on the scale of 9/11 happens...

If you're looking for someone to blame;

All you will have to do is look in the mirror.

I know why you don't want to fight the extremists who wish us dead, I know you're afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, death, destruction. Not to mention their arsenal: Suicide bombers, IED's, Bilogical weapons, Hijackings, possibly Atom Bombs.

There is a growing opposition to the wars.

The extremists have taken notice, Osama Bin Laden has himself called for the end of the Iraq war and the War on Terror.

People often belive the extremists, who say they're trying to protect their lands from the evil Western invaders, eqauting George W. Bush to Xerxes I, leader of the Persian empire, and giving Osama Bin Laden or other extremist leaders the image of Leonidis I, with the insurgents being the 300 Spartains.

The people who belive the extremists are seen all the time. They march in the streets, demanding withdrawl of troops, accusing their Government of lying, trying to crawl back into the peace they thought they knew in decades past, trying to turn their nation into a silent entity, isolated from the world, as the problems of other countries shouldn't be cared about right?

I post political themed journals to attempt to stop that silence.

This journal however, I post because I wish to remind my country of what it has forgotten.

The death's of 3,000 innocent people is unforgiveable.

We do not negotiate with terrorists, we put them in a cell, or in a hole.

More than 200 years ago, a group of great people wished to express to the world that Freedom is the right of every man, women, and child of every country on this Earth, but Freedom is not given by the gods, it must be earned and protected.

In today's world, we must fight to protect our Freedom, and help the Iraqi's to earn theirs.

My dad tells me that in America, everyone has the right to be wrong.

Now I will give you that right.

If you've seen nothing over the last 6 years, if the crimes of Osama Bin Laden and other extremists remain unknown to you, and if you belive that our own Government was responsible for the death's of nearly 3,000 people...

Then I suggest you allow September 11th to pass unmarked.

But if you see what I see, if you feel what I feel, and if you belive that the United States of America should show the bravery of those who died on United 93...

Then I ask you to support the War agianst Terror, and you don't have to pick up an AK-47, unless you are so inclined.

Write to your newspaper editors, and congressman, tell them why we need to stop the extremeists from attacking agian.

Call for reform in the United Nations, and the removal of corrupt dictators who call for the destruction of Freedom and Liberty.

One year from now, on November 2nd, go to your polling stations, vote for those who are willing to stand up and face the extremists...

And together, we will teach them a lesson that will never, ever, be forgot.

9/11/01 Never forget

Alright y'all, I just remembered why I love SL i nthe first place!

I was walking aroudn with nothin to do...ok Iwas watching Shyraii (<3) try on outfits and show off her peircings.

I got a call from Sym, said shi and Winter were dancing at a club in Furnation Vista, nekkid, and were in an avatar contest. Naturally I had to go!

After making sure Shy was ok wif it, I headed over. Sym and Winter were there, i ntheir feathered glory, and of course I had to dance too, nekkid. After all we were synch dancing, we wanna be a team, so individualtiy is out ;)

Some other furres joined in, Anora (dragon I know remotly on SL) and some others whos names slip me atm. The music was loud, the floor was banging, it was off the chain! I fucking loved it!

Sadly we had to leave early. The cyber-terrorist cell 4chan sent a lone insurgent to try and crash the sim, dun think it worked but me, Winter, and Sym bailed out before it got worse.

For those new to SL, 4chan and ED like to send in Insugents (or grifers) to try and mess up the sim. Usually they target furries.

Now this is not the first time they behaved in this manner, and it probably won't be the last.

They have quite a history of doing that, as they ceom from sites that promote selfishness, self absorbation, immaturity, and greed. And you will see that anyone that has come into contact with one of these Insurgents has been abused, wronged, decived, and betrayed.

One day they will go to far...one day they will be held accountable...one day...they will be the ones who will pay.

Y'know SL is becoming more and more like Iraq every day XD

But anyway, there's another reason why SL is the greatest MMORPG on Earth. That and there's not much chance RL that you're a furry (without a fursuit) and that you'll end up naked sometime that day but not have sex.

Today's Liberal outrage comes from Rolling Stone Magazine!

In each issue, they have a section dedicated to the US Democratic "girly men" party, be it a spotlight on a candidate, an accusation on how Bush rigged the election, other bullshit...

In the last issue, they had a spotlight on John Edwards, John Kerry's running mate (and possible Boyfriend) in the 04 election, and Presidential hopeful.

Anyway, I found these facts to be appaling:

He wants to increase taxes, and increase the minimum wage to $9.20 an hour.

So yer saying "Helios WTF? Sure it's a little more work, but now you get paid more!"

Well let me break it down for y'all.

Dems like to play Robin Hood and go after the rich by taxing them somethin feirce, in their twisted version of "Steal from the rich and give to the Poor" (though they often spend the money on themselfs but thats another story)

My Dad owns a Golf Course, so he's a target for the Dems. If Edwards is elected president, and increases Taxes and Minimum wage, it's gonna put my Dad right out of business!

On that note, another reason for Dems increasing taxes is so that everyone gets paid the same amount....now where have I heard that before...

Oh ya! COMMUNISM!!

There I said it, Democrats are supporting Communism, probably not knowing it, but regardless still are.

I'm here to put a rest one of the most popular topics today: Global Warming

Global Warming is the alleged affect of humans on the enviorment, emissions from Cars and other sources and by trapping heat in the atmosphere via the Greenhouse Effect, it will raise our temperatures and cause floods, sever weather, droughts, an ice age, rediculosly high taxes, yada yada yada.

The liberal media was upset when Michael Griffin, the administrator of NASA, said Global Warming wasn't something we needed to focus on.

Turns out he was right.

I did some looking into his belifs and discovered something shocking.

Everything that has been said about humans causing Global Warming...

...is a LIE

According to scientists, there is NO EVIDENCE that humans have caused Global Warming.

The current climate change? Well we got one yes, but it's because of natural causes, and possibly a change in Solar output.

Here's some quips from an article on why Global Warming is a big lie

"There is no evidence whatsoever to support such claims. Anyone who tells you that scientific research shows warming trends - be they teachers, news casters, Congressmen, Senators, Vice Presidents or Presidents - is wrong. There is no global warming.

Scientific research through U.S. Government satellite and balloon measurements shows that the temperature is actually cooling - very slightly - .037 degrees Celsius.

A little research into modern-day temperature trends bears this out. For example, in 1936 the Midwest of the United States experienced 49 consecutive days of temperatures over 90 degrees. Al Gore is whining about the US losing Glacier national park in Montana, wonder how he acted when he found out we lost the North American Glacier.

Hell the liberals are warning us that it's gonna be hell on Earth. In Rolling Stone which is the most liberal magazine in the US (think 4chan+Encyclopedia Dramatica * 100) they mention somewhere that the ice caps are melting.

THey say that the coastlines of the US are doomed, we're gonna have thunderstorms, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Floods, the whole shebang.

Hey it's a thunderstorm outside my house right now, oh my god I must be doomed!

Another thing: Mars is getting steadliy warmer according to observations from Surveyor and Odyssey. Well the rovers are solar powered, so what's going on?

The answer is the Sun, which is the only thing that can affect the Weather on Earth and other worlds in the Solar System, it's been getting hotter for quite some time now, so naturally it's sons and daughters will warm up a bit.

So what about the people saying Humans are causing Global Warming? Well the IPCC is neither scientific nor government, so IMO they arn't very reliable.

Ok this journal will have my political opinion in it. So if you don't want to hear it, or don't like it STOP READING RIGHT NOW.

Firstly, school is done, THANK GOD! Studying for finals was a bitch but I hope it all pays off. I really want a good GPA at the end of my Junior year so I can go to the University of Michigan, one of the finest schools in the US...even if it is...ugh...liberal.

In other news the ISS construction hat his a snag. 3 Russian computers that control the orientation of the ISS crashed last week, taking it's attitude control system offline.

Aside from that it just goes to show you Russian technology works, the Space Shuttle Atlantis, which was docked at the time and was carrying solar arrays to be installed, used it's jets to keep the ISS at the correct attitude. I'm happy to report the comptuers are back up once agian.

But the media of course heard of this, and to quote Eliiot Carver from Tomorrow Never Dies:

"There's no news, like bad news"

So I turn on the Today Show and what do I see? DRAMA IS SPACE! SPACE STATION MAY NEED TO BE ABANDONED! I nearly had a heart attack, until I found out they were talking about the Computer problems, and then they mentioned quite a few times NASA was considering abandoning the space station, it just made me sick. And to make it worse, they refered to Atlantis as Space STATION Atlantis, now does that sound stupid to anyone else?

This is EXACTLY why I only take space news from reliable sources, like space.com or spaceflightnow.com or from NASA itself on their website nasa.gov, the media dosen't know jack about space, so they take any story about NASA they can and mess it all up and blow it out of proportion, MSNBC at least makes SOME EFFORT to get it right, but they often make mistakes too.

So the moral here is: Don't belive everything you see on the television set.

Speaking of TV, there's been alot of debate on weither Tony Soprano died at the end of the Sopranos. Now I have never seen the show, but it looks interesting, and I've made a note to pick up the first season when I got to blockbuster.

One one wing, Tony and a friend (or realtive) discussed what death is like, and they agreed it was like fading to black, with no sound or anything. Also in the resturaunt there were several people who wanted Tony dead, and since the show is told through the eys of Tony, with no Tony there's no show.

On the other wing, there was no reson to kill Tony once Frank (or was it Phil) died, and the hit was off. And the mob bosses can't be touched unless another boss puts the hit on him, and it has to be for a good reason. There's alot of rules of engagement in the mob.

So it can go either way.

Finally, I have a case showing how ignorant my generation is.

Jewish kids of my age (16 or aroudn that) are hating Polish kids because they're under the impression that the Pols helped the Nazi's in WWII because of all the concentration camps there.

How does this affect me? Well I'm Polish.

As ANY educated person would know, Germany took over Poland in WWII, and put the concentration camps there, and so my people didn't have a choice.

But because teens these days are very ignorant and/or stupid, they don't care, and so through no action of my own, I'm hated by Jews now, great.

I'd also like to take this time to talk about another Massacre, the Armenian Massacre of WWI.

I'm also Armenian so I know about this, and one of my friends is also Armenian and talks about this too. The Armenian Massacre occured from 1915 to 1917 and is regarded as one of the first modern genocides.

The Young Turks government brutally killed over a million Armenians. And it was horrible. Fathers were killed, Mothers and daughters raped, son's humilated, they were even sent to concentration camps, just like the Jews.

Today the Turkish government denies it even happend.

And apparently, so does the US education system.

Now my state, as well as the majority of the US recognizes the Mssacre, but NO WHERE is it mentioned in history books!

This makes me and my friend sick. Sure the Nazi's killed alot of Jews, and everyone talks about that, but no one dares to speak of the same thing that happend to the Armenians, my own ANCESTORS. My AUNT almost died trying to escape, some of her friends and family, my OWN distant relatives, were KILLED.

AND NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT!

This is sick, I think it's time that someone stepped up and told the world about the horrors inflicted on my ancestors.

See my class is full of idiots, who are either just really stupid or suffering fron an advanced case of "senioritis."

Anyway in 6th hour we get one of those worksheets that teachers give us to keep us busy, and their uber easy y'know what I mean?

So I get it done in like 5 minutes...and next thing I know I'm helping virtually EVERYONE in the class figure out where to draw some arrows! They're all like "Helios, how're you so smart?" I think to myself "I ought to be asking you, how are you so fucking dumb!"

I'm calling all high schoolers out on this one. For the love of god, unless yer a senior, during class focus more on the subject and less on who's wearing what, what yer doing Friday night, and so on. I mean that may sound important to you and your little friends, but in reality it's just stupid!

MY ENTIRE 6th HOUR CLASS IS STUPID! Now I don't mean that in an insulting way, I mean that in a factual way. And the scary thing is, these are the people who will be running the US in 10 years or so....

So you know what? Next time we get a worksheet like that, I'm gonna let them figure it out for themselves. I came to school to learn, not to do everyone else's homework so they can play Xbox 360 all night long <v<.

Well for those that read my journal, you saw I was having trouble with Vista.

After re-installing it wanted ANOTHER product key.

So I tried a method that would infiantly extend the "trial period" so I would not have to activate, that didn't work and I had to re-install AGIAN.

Well I was still not gonna give Microsoft what it wants ($216 for a key) so I downloaded a patch that activates Vista.

Well agianst all common sense (and 50 US and International laws) it worked!

Vista is activated!

See the problem here is Microsoft they want more money. Well now I have them where I want them for the first time in my life.

And I remembered how to get SL running on Vista as well ^V^

It's makes me so happy that after a day where everything went wrong, I started off a day with everything going right!

Ok you can stop your laughing now.

Recently though, it's been slow, I mean I didn't feel liek I was using it, more like I was sharing the Vista experience, and if I could get it to do what I wanted it to do when I was using it, so much the better.

Today I found out that Vista has some weird Kamikaze feature built into it.

I turned on my PC and POOF! Vista had gone away, it was gone, I didn't do anything, it was just gone.

I got a message saying "you must activate Windows" so I tried activating with the product key, and apparently I must've mis-typed it because it wouldn't activate.

So I tried re-installling and stopped it. Which corrupted the boot system, and it ca'nt repair it. So I gotta clean install agian.

I just got this really sick feeling, because I don't care much for the O/S but I really like the computer itself.

Anyway, that's the news. Vista has killed my inner child ;v;.

Ok HAL is saved. Did a re-install and Vista works agian.

So I go on my deskeop, and where did my files go? At that point my brain tells me "YOU IDIOT! YOU'RE RUNNING VISTA! YOUR FILES ARE FUCKING GONE!"

Well no real loss to me, and PC runs faster now. Just gotta re-install Office, Steam, and Orbiter and I'm good to go.

I saved my files becuase I rememberd the thing that separates PC's from Mac's.

IMPORTANT TIP FOR VISTA AND PC USERS AHEAD!

It's a little known fact that on a PC no data is really lost, which means that deleting a file dosen't actually get rid of it, unless you format your hard drives.

When you delete a file, there's a way to un-delete it (I have done that once) and if you know what you're doing in DOS you can recover anything that/s been corrupt.

On a Mac, if you delete a file, you run to the nearest computer store and pick up Norton Utilties for Mac, and come back only to have Norton say "YOU IDIOT! YOU'RE USING A MAC! THE FILE IS FUCKING GONE!"

For Vista users, if you have to re-install Vista, for whatever reason, everything you had to that point will be stored in a folder for safekeeping, that you can acess if you want.

I found said folder and I'm transferring some files to my External hard drive (which for whatever reason holds more memory than my entire PC) and I will delete the rest, as I don't think I'll be needing them anytime soon.

Vista will not quit here.

Now it want's ANOTHER product key, and mine won't work. I have 30 days.

I have 3 options.

1. Use a method to extend the trial date indefinatly, which is legit apparently due to a loophole in the Vista EULA

2. Ask my dad to get me a new product key, which is $216. He'll go beserk cause he assumes everything that happens to my PC is my fault, weither I did something or not.

3. DOWNGRADE to XP and do a clean install of Vista from there. I don't want to do this because it's a waste of time and money.

If worse ocmes to worse, I still have my laptop, but it has no video card!

And to top it off, I gotta find out how to get SL running with Vista agian, even though I may only have a month to use it!

*sniffs* I need a hug ;v;.

Ok for those who've known me, you know that I'm pissed off that Half Life 2:Episode 2 ha been delayed by almost a year.

Well turns out my suspicions were correct.

The reason for the delay IS the porting to the consoles!

My guess is that the PC version of Episode 2 is finished, most of if not all of Portal (puzzle game coming with Episode 2) is done, and maybe Team Fortress 2.

But they're having problems with the console porting.

360 is almost directly compatible with PC's so odds are the 360 port is done.

But apprently the problem is porting it to the PS3, which I've heard is a bitch as far as programming games though.

Valve (developer of Half Life saga) does not want this...this is a decision made by EA their publish.

FUCKING IDIOTS!!!

This is clearly a marketing strategy gone wrong. EA is making Valve release all 3 versions of the game at the same time, fall 2007.

Problem with that? They run into feirce competition. Halo 3 and other games will be released around the same time, so it's gonna be Halo vs. Half Life.

Besides, it dosen't really seem fair to make PC gamers wait, while a game is developed for the bratty 12 year olds (or NED's as my boy Vortale calles them) that can afford a PS3 but somehow not a PC, while a perfectly good version of the same game is just sitting somewhere in Valve's HQ doing nothing.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering e-mailing Gabe Newell and Doug Lombardi (the CEO of Valve, and Valve's marketing director respecitvly) to find out what the hell is going on, but I doubt they'd give me a serious reply.

Well this might sound weird coming from someone who never played 1984 but...

We have just experienced Hate Week.

With all these deaths and shootings goin on, it's unmistakeable, and I have imbeded it in my mind forever.

Last night I went to a shooting range with some friends, it was at the police station.

Apparently either my aim or the gun's aim sucks XD.

While I was helping clean up the spent casings afterwards, I picked up a casing and put it in my pcoket, no one would miss it.

Hoever I also found a, for whatever reason, unsued and live bullet, and in a moment of rebellion I picked it up, put it in my pocket, and took it home.

I'm looking at it now, it's S&W 9mm 40 cal. round, flat tipped with a copper bullet.

I'm in awe, and almost sickened, by the fact that something so small can kill you.

This week already has 2 anneversaries. The Oaklahoma City bombing, and the Colombine High School shooting by Timothy McVeigh and Eric Harris and Dylan Kebold respectivly.

On Monday, Cho Seung-hui was added to that list as he shot up Virginia Tech in a blidn rage, killing 32 before turning the guns on himself.

I know why he did it, the tapes tell the story. Like Harris and Kebold he was cast out, abused, and often ignored by others. He hated rich kids (which I kinda do as well, but not ot that extent), snobs, and other people becuase he was abused by them.

But the difference between him and the Colombine shooters is that there was something terribly wrong with this man. We may never know what it was, but he finally jsut snapped, compared himself to Jesus Christ and shot up the whole place.

Since then a series of similar incidents have hit America (a gunman killed a hostage and himself a few hours ago at the Johson Space Center in Houston, TX), and it sickens me in alot of cases.

See alot of kids are threatening schools recently with "repeats of Virginia Tech." If you are one such person who has or is planning to, I have a message for you.

Don't.

At one time it was a joke, but this is a different world now, and I know personally that threats agianst the school are no joke.

Last fall. my school received not 1 but 2 bomb threats in one week. We were shocked that someone could make these threats. Despite tighter security on the day the 2nd bomb was to go off, a number of students, including myself, did not attend that day.

It's not mid-April and they STILL have not found the perps.

This is what is disgusting about school security. There virtually is none. We have measures that were put in place after Colombine to prevent another shooting, but these shootings are still going on.

At JSC today, when the call was made that there was a gunman inside, there was an imediate evauation of the buidling he was allegedly in, and 2 schools nearby went on lockdown.

At Virginia Tech, 2 hours passed between the first shooting and the next, and there was almost no response at all. The building was evacuated, it wasn't put on lockdown, nothing.

Bottom line is that aside from much needed reforms in school security, this week was not a good one for the United States of America.

All our prejudice and hate just seemed to exploded in our own bloddy version of Hate Week. I hope that when next week rolls around, that cooler heads will prevail and we can rebuild and recover.
