This year was a rollercoaster, but it was a massively good one!

I'm super blessed to have met all the new folks I did, and to have a space where I can just be myself. I made so many new friends this year, and got to see lots of old ones!

I'm going to take a few days off for travel/ recovery. If we estimate for likelyhood of con crud or other issue, it is likely Thursday I'm back up to my nonsense.

I do not often engage with politics on my art posting accounts. I do have to speak on this one. I will not be posting about it further, nor engaging in debate.

Every mass shooting is an avoidable travesty. Hearing about the shooting in Nashville, in my own home state, has ripped me up inside. I feel so bad for those kids, and I feel so bad for what their deaths have set in motion.

It has come out that the shooter was possibly trans, and the media has run with it. Were it a cis white man, we would be hearing the "Oh, mental healthcare is so important, how tragic, he had such potential uwu" rhetoric in order to avoid talking about real issues. However, instead, we are getting rhetoric painting trans people as a volatile population prone to terrorism in order to justify both political and physical motions to harm us. Frankly, I do not feel safe to return to the state. With the death-grip right wing media has on the place, it could go very bad very fast for me to simply exist.

I will say this in no uncertain terms:

I am a trans man.
If you feel that trans people are pedophiles, rapists, degenerates and murderers, then you are free to block me.

If you feel that I should be judged for the actions of a person I didn't know existed until the news broke, then you are free to block me.

I will not be debating with you. My life isn't yours to debate. It isn't an opinion or stance.

I am not up for debate.

First off, I'm in no direct danger. We have food, our bills are paid, we have a roof over our heads, and we are all in good health in my house. So no panic.

What's happened is that we have moved into our new home and found the hot water heater is not only bad, it's old enough to drink and vote. Hot water heaters aren't supposed to be in use that long, generally, and it isn't functioning properly, so we need to do the kind thing and put it out to pasture before a seal ruptures and it destroys to house we just moved into in a cranky fit.

Hot water heaters, however, are not cheap things. We're looking at LEAST $1600 just to buy a new one, much less install it.

Refined (fully inked, colored or painted) work is double the price of the sketch.

Props, complex costumes and features incur a higher price.
