Okay, so I never imagined I would have this many watches on my little corner of fa that and my discord having over 100 members now is pretty awesome and a little frightening too. I don’t think I will have anything special planned for 500 watches like some awesome art or whatever so instead I’m going to focus on getting this next build out there before then! Suppose this is more of a drive to push myself than a reason to celebrate but whatever. Thank you all so much for your support and patience! 🥳

Being able to support a creator right from their page without external links or any other hoops is a wonderful idea and with that that, I too have set up one in hopes to get the funds to get more art for this game... (At least I hope I set it up correctly🙃)
Now then, I’m not going to bore you with details but I’ve had a, let’s just say a financial downturn lately. Basically I’m not exactly sure if I can keep putting my own money into the game anymore or at least not for a long while. In all honesty, it’s making me reconsider the payment system as well on my Patreon just to scrape together the funds so I can get more art commissioned for the game. I suppose we’ll have to see though...
Anyway if you can support me please do! Every little bit helps so that I can get more content into the game. If you have already, then thank you so much for helping this endeavor it really means a lot! 😇

Ramos Chapter 6 and 7 Where is it?
Posted 6 years ago Alright, so I know many of you have been asking and wondering, "Where the hell is this newest build!?" And I thank you all for being patient, especially since the last thing I teased was back in November for Ramos's new sprite update and it pretty much looked like this project was dead after that. I can assure that is far from the truth. Work kept me so busy during the holidays that I could not touch this project for nearly 2 months! But now that has finally passed, I was able to dedicate more time to actually working on this in my free time.
Where am I now? Well I am happy to say I have finished with the first draft of the update! So what does that mean exactly? It means that all I really have to do is comb through what I have written, check for quality, spelling and grammar, and add in other effects to spice up the game for it's release. How long will that take? Probably a week at the most. Butt! I won't be able to release the game until I receive one key asset that is being worked on right now. Once it is done and I put it into the game, it will be all ready to ship out. So when is this new build going to be released then? I'm hoping in maybe about two weeks give or take. So expect it very soon =).
Now then, because I'm getting close to the release date, I wanted to give people a heads up that my patreon runs on pay-per-release. Right now I have not charged a single cent because I don't exactly have much to show. This next update will be the first time that I charge for content. And that also means that if you miss the timing window of becoming a patreon you'll have to wait until the public release goes live. Sure it'll be free but then you wont be in the know and now!
So if you want to show your support for the game, consider heading over to my patreon and clicking on one of those tier options. It helps me out with costs for art in this game and perhaps I might be able to add in more things like custom backgrounds, a new UI, maybe even hire someone to work on music at some point. It also just helps a ton with morale and if you connect to my discord you get a cool little flair to show off. PSA: Get Your Pets Checked
Posted 7 years agoA bit of a PSA and a bit of an update. So some good news and bad news.
Good news first I suppose. I now have all the art assets I need for the Koshiro update, so once I finished with the writing, editing, clean up and all that, I should be good to have it out in about a week or two.
The bad news, I had to put my cat down today. Took him into the vet to have him checked out, he was coughing, losing weight and hair, and just overall didn't look to well. While I was at work they informed me that he had Leukemia. He was only 3 years old when we adopted him from the animal shelter but despite only having been with him for a year he was one of the kindest animals. Never once scratched, bit, or hissed. Timid to a fault but really sweet once he got to know you. He will be missed.
So case in point, get your animals checked, get your loved ones checked, and get yourself checked.

Quick Kingsguard Update
Posted 7 years agoA bit late on this post but for those of you who haven't yet heard, I have found myself a new character artist!
TheBigSlick will now be creating the characters for Kingsuard, starting with Koshiro for this next update. The others will follow shortly after and once I have the main three updated through the entire game, I can get to showing you some of the side characters as well.
As for the CG art, I have
Sunshtein who will be working hard to bring many of the main events to life. I may expand upon the number of CG artists as well to try to get more art into the game but for now I have to take things one step at a time.
Now then, I don't want to say to much about Koshiro's update on this one but I will say that it is close to being done. I'm hoping to roll it out before the end of the month but no promises there.

Update on Looking for a New Artist
Posted 7 years agoSo been somewhat busy as of late to work on the game (totally not because of procrastination either), but now that has passed and I can really start focusing on the game. This is just a follow up journal to my previous one about looking around for a new artist(s).
After some deliberation, I managed to condensed the list down significantly. It's now only about 9 artists. Still trying to figure out what would be the best combination though, between sprite artists and cg art as having one artist do both is a lot of work. But my current dream parring would be something along the lines of IcySage, ZeForge, and/or TheRamJing simply because their style has a nice dark/mature/realistic vibe to it suitable for this game and compliment each other pretty well at least through my eyes... not all because there art gives me a nose bleed now and again.
So hopefully I can get my ass into gear and actually go about contacting them about pricing and details and all that, and maybe I might just be lucky enough to have one or more of them on board.
Now there is also an issue with this as well. I no longer have an artist at the moment, and no new art to show for Koshiro's update =(. So I've been thinking about how to best go about this obstacle until I get a new artist. Thankfully I'm a little over half way done with his update and it's actually turning out to be quite lengthy. I could probably finish it up in about a week should I keep my drive up and really hunker down and focus on getting it completed. Since I feel really bad (Mostly at myself) for taking so long to get anything out there, I have come up with three options:
Option A: Hold off on releasing Koshiro's update, until I get the art that I need for it. Who knows how long this will take though. A month, two months? The time between updates is growing a bit too long for me to become comfortable with, especially with all that I have in store with regards to the story. One thing I worry about is having this game being in production for longer than 5 years. If anything, I would hope 3 years would be the max but even I do not know if that is feasible at the current rate.
Option B: Release only half of Koshiro's update. I already said that all three routes would have two part chapters. 6 and 7. This was true for Leandros, it is true for Koshiro, and will be true for Ramos, and I will likely be doing it again for the next set of routes simply because the chapters play into each other so well. As I mentioned earlier in this journal, Chapter 6 for Koshiro is basically finished at this point, with Chapter 7 being worked on. I could release Chapter 6 as a teaser, to tide you over until I finish Chapter 7 and maybe might even have some new art. I do like this option a bit more than A but not by much as there is one thing in particular that I would really want to have art for in Chapter 6.
(And before you ask, no that's not the sex scene... ) that's in chapter 7
Option C: Release Koshiro's update but without any new art. I would be using Koshiro's old sprite in this case. Any new character art, any cg's that I have planned would be put off and then added in on a separate update as soon as I get the art for it. This is the dead last option, and I would like to avoid it as much as possible. In my opinion, there is a lot of stuff that goes on in this chapter, a few characters that I really want to get some art for, some CG scenes to go along with the text. Releasing it as is just feels kind of wasteful in all honesty. I'm sure you are quite tired of seeing black shadow blobs for people. This is a Visual Novel, it needs visuals!

This is a poll to get a bit of a feel of what people think who could be a potential artist. It doesn't mean that I will immediately contact the person with the highest votes, it's just for now to give me a bit of a way to trim down the potential list a bit.
You can choose as many or as little choices as you like and suggestions are also always welcome if you have someone else in mind. Preferably not someone too expensive though as much as I would love to have Chumbasket or even Anhes gracing my game with their presence.

For the following update
Posted 7 years agoLeandros update will be here soon, but that is not what I'm here to talk about.
Most of my updates have been spread apart, largely due to this being more of a pet project. There are no constraints on me to get it done so I can take my time, but because of this there are times where I just don't work on the project at all, sometimes for a full week at a time. Now this isn't to say that I've lost interest or that I'm dropping the project. I love to write and love making this game but work gets in the way at times (particularly last year), I get mentally and physically exhausted (largely because of said work), and I'm also a major procrastinator who stays awake too late and sleeps in too much. Combine that all together and it's pretty much a recipe for disaster.
But despite all that I want to mark today as being more productive in the project (said every procrastinator ever). So I'm going to be trying that out with semi-scheduled updates to hopefully get my lazy ass back to working on this project and writing the really juicy bits that have floating around in my mind map for months. Starting after Leandros's build, I'm going to work on releasing Koshiro's route in may, with each subsequent releases around 1.5 to 2 months apart, rather than the 3+ months that I have been doing before. Hopefully this should give me enough time to work on the each route while giving me enough pressure to actually release it within a reasonable date. Now this isn't a promise, more like a birthday resolution if you will.
Now onto another matter. Again this is a pet project, so most of the art assets that I get for the game as you noticed are free stock online images, ran through gimp and made blurry to be used as backgrounds or blackened out and cropped and cut and contorted to become silhouettes. Now that's all good but it makes the game look unfinished and otherwise dull. When I scrounged together the money to get a commission for the characters, it excited me so much to see them come to life, but then I looked at my wallet and was like, I'll have to wait to get any more paid art. Turns out it's expensive. Now that doesn't deter the progress of the story in any way. I could write from start to finish using the base assets but the game just wont look as appealing as others VN's that I see and play. So I was thinking about opening up one of those Ko-Fi things, to help pad the cost so that I can get more art into the game. I've thought really hard about Patreon but still feel adverse to it atm.
Well, didn't mean to write a wall of text but thank you for reading! I look forward to releasing Leandros's build, I think you guys will really like it. It's a nice change of pace from the previous builds with some . . . NSFW parts . . . so look forward to it and with Koshiro's in the future.

Posted 7 years agoWanted to post an update about Leandros's route. It is nearly about done now, and is quite lengthy with two chapters and a few branching choices. While I could release it in within the next few days, I managed to scrap together some cash for a pleasant surprise that I really want to be implemented into this build before I show anything off. It will take some time before though for it to be implemented, so Leandros's route will likely not be put up until the end of this month.
Now moving on to Koshiro.
His route is very close to being finished as well but will still take some time to release, as I plan to get Leandros's build out first. Regarding his route though, I was thinking hard about him and his ties to his village. If you have played his route, I'm sure you must have noticed that his village is filled with fox beastmen, like himself. But there are a few complications here that have made me think about a potential overhaul to his character that wont seem that important until the release of his route. So I am asking you about your thoughts on this question:
Now to me, since I have most of the story already played out but not yet revealed/released, it is a pretty big change to his route. It would effect several different characters that both him and you come in contact with and your experiences with them. As such, I have been a bit on the fence about changing it, but I know that it would lead to a more diverse cast and some very interesting developments.
When I first came up with Koshiro's concept, he was originally conceived to be a wolf. But I made the change when I felt like fox was a more natural choice albeit stereotypical, seeing as he and his village are both influenced by ninjas and Japanese culture. Now this change will not be implemented in Leandros's build, but during Koshiro's, but I wanted to get some opinions on the matter before continuing forward and writing a storm. If you have any other suggestions of what kind of beastman he could be (mostly looking for canine, lupine, vulpinesk animals), let me know in the comments, or just vote here:

Character Routes Confirmed and Polls Closed
Posted 8 years agoMy first journal, it must be my birthday! . . . It's not . . .
Well anyway, I've closed the polls for deciding the routes. I was keeping an eye on it throughout the week and have to say it was a close one. Koshiro's route was ahead for quite some time then near the end Leandros sped ahead. I have to say, I'm actually quite excited about sharing Leandros route first (A bit more about that when the release comes out), but the other two hopefully wont disappoint when they follow after. Come the next update, as I said in the build post, there will be two chapters released for the route, and then I will cycle through the updates, with Koshiro going next, and then Ramos going last.
As for the other poll, it was also another close one. Feral was up there, then human rose up and took it by surprise. *Giggty*
The next chapter, will feature NSFW, BUT, as for art goes, I can't promise anything. I will definitely try to push to get the characters to show the goods, but this is a solo project so the funds are coming entirely from me. But if it does happen, look forward to seeing some interesting graphics in the coming weeks.
