March Update:
Posted 5 years agoHey. Once again, I'm sorry for being so quiet on here. I've between stressing out over trying to just get art finished and my anxiety getting the better of me a ton lately, especially because a lot of stuff is taking a lot longer than I planned for. Between that and having more shit to do than I can keep track of its been hard for me to reach out to folks and generally post online. I've gotten a good bit of art done that I'm excited to share and outside of the stressful side of this job things have been going well. Because I keep putting things off, I'm just gonna take a big chunk of my day posting art, responding to messages, opening for commissions, fixing my spreadsheets, and whatever else I've got on my long ass to-do list that I've been neglecting.
Quick update: i have the flu
Posted 6 years ago hey ya'll. So I wanted to drop a quick message here. Fairly sure I've come down with the flu this week, which sucks a fuck ton. I have a bunch of sketches I want to get done but right now . but I've been physically too sore to move/think (which was much worse yesterday) .
Good news is I'm starting to feel a bit better cause of the meds i got, so any deadlines I'm fucking up right now I will be catching up on over the weekend most likely. I feel like extra garbage cause I really wanted to stick to my schedule, but I need to rest.
Overall this wont impact when I will be finishing pieces this month because I will work as much overtime as I need to keep those goals at least, just behind on getting sketches out this week

Update: Regarding fixing my career / what to expect from me
Posted 6 years agoSo, over a week ago, I had a big breakdown because of my art career and what felt like impending doom on a daily basis. Things haven't been going well and I keep slipping farther behind and making shitty promises/deadlines/goals that have been impossible to keep because I've just been blinded by my depression, stress, anxiety and inability to focus because of everything going on. After I brokedown, I spent a signifigant amount of time avoiding being online, away from art, so I could figure out my options, including quiting and finding a regular job, or the work it'd actually take me to fix my career.
I decided I wanted one more chance to fix this. I want to continue being an artist, even if its a struggle for a while, because I love making art, I can't picture myself doing anything else. It's going to take a lot of time and patience but it's do-able. However, this is honestly the last chance I'm giving myself to fix things, and if I don't make decent progress within the next 2-3 months, then I'm out. I'll quit being an artist, figure out what I have to do to finish the art I owe or pay customers back if it comes to that.
As of right now though, I owe over 100 commissions. I failed to see that it was getting that bad because I kept turning a blind eye to my backlog. Because of this, I have a lot of work ahead of me, and to support myself I'm gonna have to keep taking commissions, and I may eventually get a part time job as well to at least ensure I get my bills paid. I hate to take on more work, but if I quit, it'd take an even longer time before I would be capable of repaying that.
So there are several changes to the ways I'm going to be handling my business that I need to make if I want any chance at succeeding. I just hope ya'll understand, and know that I am dedicated to my art and I will do your commission. It may just take a lot longer to get to, but I guarantee it will be worth the wait.
Here's what I'm changing:
Deadlines:
I promise nothing. I cannot provide you with a deadline. Reason being is I’ve got a bad habit of just throwing out a date, forgetting what I’ve said to who, and in turn pissing people off and wearing their patience thin because I keep giving bad deadlines. What I can do however is start keeping up with a Trello account so you can keep track of where your commission is. On it I’ll be keeping track of my backlog and typically trying to work on the oldest ones first, however I may still jump around my list from time to time to work on commissions I feel will best fit my work flow at any given time.
Working on both new and overdue commissions:
I gotta do what I gotta do to cover my bills. Nothing says peace of mind like knowing I got things covered for at least the next couple of weeks. In order to make that happen, and ensure I get enough business to pay my bills from here on out, I will be taking commissions I plan to be able to turn around and finish within a month from taking payment. I will also be working on overdue commissions along side them.
Refunds:
I can't afford refunds. Period. I only ever take on exactly what I need to to pay my bills and basic living expenses. I have no money in savings, nor to I spend money on myself aside from eating out occasionally. Because of this I've had to scramble every time someone's asked for a refund in the past, either pushing their commission ahead of schedule to keep their business, or putting so much strain on me financially that month that I have to take on more work than I can handle just to afford a refund.
Once I start making positive progress, it may take me 4-6 months until I’m stable enough to afford a few refunds here or there. If you strongly desire a refund, I can put you on a waitlist to get one, but I cannot guarantee how long it will take until and honestly I feel it’d be better for both you and me to give me a little more patience to allow me to finish the art I owe you, with an appropriate amount of time. Regardless of what it is or however long you’ve waited, I still want to make it for you and I haven’t forgotten. If it’s a matter of no longer wanting the content you commissioned (say you had a falling out with a friend or no longer have an interest in the subject matter), then I’ll be happy to draw something else for you.
Schedule for replying to messages-
As of right now I want to aim for reply to messages for a short period twice a day, 3 days a week, on Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Having a schedule like this will help me get back to you faster, and take a lot of tension/stress off myself when I get messages when I’m ‘off work’. If you message me during my downtime and see me posting, please don’t worry and think I’m ignoring you. I just have a lot of work to do, and outside those times, I want to focus on my art and life.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I want to do the best job possible and keep making awesome art for ya'll.

Update (part1)
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! I'm back! Sorry for my absence as of late. I've been taking some much needed downtime for the last week or so. November was particularly rough and so stressful at a point that I just broke, shutdown and was on the verge of quitting art. Although it may not have been the best course of action to just put things on hold for a week, I needed time to get things off my mind so I could think about things rationally, and if I wanted to continue my struggle as an artist. And I do, but I'll be changing how I handle stuff. I'm still working on the things I want to change about how I handle commissions, personal art, and customers so that I don't cave under pressure again.
Today I plan on working on a lot of maintenance. I've got a lot of messages to respond to, a lot to catch up on, and a lot to write out in regards to the changes I want to make to how I deal with my art career; as well as open up for commissions again. In short, I'll be taking commissions that I do plan to turn around and finish by the end of the month so that I can at the very least get my bills paid; as well as working on overdue art in between. I wish I had a better way of handling things, but its the best option I have atm. Later today I'll have some more lengthy updates so ya'll can have an understanding of my current situation, just know that if you are currently a customer waiting on a commission, I haven't forgotten about you
Update (more tomorrow)
Posted 6 years ago Where do I start?
It’s not a big secret that I’ve been struggling for quite a while now. I've posted about this stuff every so often. This year has been just been one bad thing after another, my depression has been at an all time high, I am way behind schedule, deadlines are getting harder to keep and I feel like everything has been snowballing out of my control for some time now. I’ve even started distancing myself from friends, even ignoring them sometimes and doing whatever I can to avoid talking about myself in social settings.
The last few months have been especially rough… The more I’ve tried to gain back control of things, get on top of my shit and recover, the harder it seems to do so. For everything I do good, or any progress I make with anything, something else happens to negatively balance things out again, which in turns makes it feel like doing my best is never good enough. And gradually over time this has worn me down, and I feel utterly defeated.
Last week I just snapped and broke down because of all the stress and anxiety I’m dealing with.
I haven’t picked up my pen to draw in 4 days and I’ve been ignoring messages. When I broke Thursday I was ready to quit being an artist. Forever. And right now that option is still on the table, but I also don’t want to give up. Honestly, since then I’ve just been hiding and ignoring from my problems the past few days by hanging out with friends and burying myself in video games. Despite all the crushing deadlines and work I have to do, fucking up a lot, making the wrong choices and bills that are going unpaid… I’m not gonna feel guilty about this or say I’m sorry this time. I’m tired of apologizing.
I have… a lot more to say, there’s a lot of issues I want to cover but I don’t think I have the time/energy to try and filter my emotions out to sound neutral today. I’m gonna continue to weigh my options tonight and I’ll have more to talk about tomorrow.

minor update (more later today)
Posted 6 years agohey guys. sorry about my absence online as of late. I've been dealing with a great deal of stress lately and I more or less broke under it this past week because its getting to be more than I can handle. I'll get back to people later today once I figure out how I want to handle things.
I will have a lot more to say later as well, but long story short my art career is on the verge of collapse, and I'm not sure I'm capable of fixing it. I love being an artist, its always been my dream, but things are really bad, out of my control and they just keep getting worse.

Hey ya'll, bare with me for a moment
Posted 6 years agoHey guys, I feel like complete garbage for promising to keep up with shit with my last journal on here and then suck at doing that. I wanted to post a short update to say I've been dealing with some stressful/depressing personal issues with family that have caused some unexpected delays recently. And right now I'm trying really hard to catch up as quickly as I can. I'm wicked sorry to delay anything further but I really appreciate ya'lls patience and support.
I let a few things slip the last few weeks because of depression. I'm okay now and managing, just trying to focus on catching up. I may still be slow to respond though.
I also really hate to have to advertise again, but I never managed to fill any spots for this month because I was too preoccupied with other stuff, and I'm late on several bills atm, so I'll be doing a sale momentarily.

October - working on catching up / other news
Posted 6 years ago Hey everyone! So it’s about time I posted a decent update here. First of all, thank you all for your patience. I've been somewhat reclusive/withdrawn from stuff online this past year because I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff. Although I've mostly been focusing on drawing so I can just catch up, I've had a few customers express their frustration with my lack of communication which is something I want to fix. It's never been my intention to ignore anyone or leave people in the dark; I've just been very overwhelmed and slipped into some bad habits of being very introverted and became neglectful of the business and social end of things.
So I'm gonna fix that. I’ll be working on keeping both Furaffinity and Twitter more up to date, post more WIPS and other stuff like that. I will eventually get around to getting my Trello up to date. Honestly I just haven’t been a fan of using it in general, so I might look for a different task-list type website to use. In the meantime, please feel free to message me for an update and keep in mind I may be a bit inaccurate since I tend to change up my drawing plans occasionally. (i.e. I occasionally decide to stop sketching 3-4 commissions into a group of 6-8 I was planning to work on just to finish something I was really enjoying or to just switch things up and work on something in progress if I’m dealing with a bit of artblock)
Additionally I plan to change some of the stuff I offer for commissions to better suit the direction I want to take my art. I don’t get as much joy out of drawing porn as I used to, though I still put the same amount of effort into it as I do all my art because I care about the quality of my work. Now I mostly like working on pieces with more artistic freedom, or more scenic or slice of life or sometimes really colorful experimental/abstract stuff which is what I’m hoping to shift my focus more towards. So from now on I will no longer be taking on any porn commissions. For those already in my list waiting on a porn piece, I will still happily make that for you, I just won’t be taking on any new ones.
Moving on, I wanted to discuss my plans for the next month or so. After I post this update I’ll be opening for commissions so I can cover my bills for the month, and these may not get started until November however. I plan to spend the next two weeks sketching as many overdue commissions as I can, I still have a backlog that I’ve been making very slow progress on, so I want to get a lot of that taken care of if I can, so that will be my main focus, and if I hit my personal goal then I’ll be able to start sketching the October commissions this month as well, otherwise I won’t likely start those until November.
TLDR:
Main Points-
- I’ll be more active online with keeping things up to date
- I may still have trouble maintaining a trello account at the moment, so please feel free to DM me for an update on your commission status (taken with a grain of salt because I can be a bit inaccurate at times)
- I will no longer be taking NSFW/Porn commissions (I will still happily complete any porn commissions still in my list, just not taking new ones.)
- I’ll be opening for commissions today for my bills, which may not get started until November because I’ll be focusing on overdue work this month.

Updates coming a little later today
Posted 6 years agoHey guys. So I feel super bad because I keep promising to update stuff and then keep putting it off.
So I wanted to drop a quick message here to say that I'm literally working that stuff out right now. I just finished up all the pieces I currently have in progress, so I can't use drawing as excuse to neglect stuff today.
That said I should have a proper update in a couple of hours after I work out my plans for the next couple months and other stuff.
I know I'm bad at reaching out to customers sometimes as well, so if you are looking for an update on your commission, feel free to send me a message (DM's work better than comments) I'll check back a bit later and respond to any of those once I've figured out my schedule and all that.
Again, sorry for being relatively reclusive this past year. I've been dealing with a lot, and I'm trying to work on being more on point with everything.

Quick update!
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! its been a while since I've kept up with this site. I've been chugging away quietly, got some art to post and stuff. Wanted to drop a quick update today and let folks know im not dead XD I've been buried under a lot of work and stuff so I haven't made nearly enough time to keep stuff updated like I should.
anywho, I'm gonna get back into the swing of keeping stuff more up to date and what not. Im gonna post a bunch of art tomorrow and update my profile and other info some.
As a heads up I am considering no longer taking porn commissions in the near future, though I'm not fully committed to this idea just yet (quite honestly I'm afraid that would literally kill my art career). Please do not worry if you are waiting for a NSFW piece, I'm still totally happy to do it, or any of the ones I take on this month. I just feel like I want to start taking my art in a new/different direction, and porn won't be a part of that.
I'll have more info on that when i get around to updating stuff tomorrow.
also if anyone is interested in getting a commission, here's my pricesheet: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32169539/
or
If you are interested in a commission please check out this form so I can get all of your info! https://goo.gl/forms/TICX46PgErgLFLVk2

UPDATE! FWA + Upcoming sale starting tonight!
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! I wanted to give a quick update on here. Right now I'm workin my butt off trying to get badge sketches out so I can wrap up all con badges for FWA and BLFC this week. (sketching these is the longest part so once they are all approved I'll be flyin through em') and expect to have any badges to me mailed fpr BLFC in the mail by Saturday, or Monday at the latest. I'll be at FWA, so those badges I'll be passing out in person!
As such the next two weeks for me are gonna be hella busy, so apologies in advance if I'm wicked slow to respond. I think there's a few more sketches I wanted to get out for other commissions before the con, but I think I'm only gonna have time for badges and a few that I've already sent out sketches for. And once FWA is over I'll be focusing my effort on making a new work schedule and updating my trello so I can get back on track with keeping people up to date. (again apologies for letting stuff slip so much, I've been having a rough time and have shy'd away from my online stuff)
That said I will be opening for commissions later today, and I'll be having a 20% off sale on any BEACH themed commissions I get until the weekend! (this includes flat and full color pieces with backgrounds and music themed pieces too if you give me a beach-y song) These I plan on starting AFTER FWA (likely after the 15th) along side other overdue work that I owe!
----
Also at this time if you have any questions regarding your commission status I ask that you please hold off until about the 15th, as of right now I just can't give an accurate estimate to save my life, and I'm hoping once I figure out my new schedule and get my trello back up and running I'll be able to keep folks better up to date, but I don't wanna stress out right now and throw a date out there only to have that change in two weeks when I re-figure my stuff out. (yes I still have a big backlog, so I'm working on fixing things to work on new and overdue work together.)
As always thank you guys for your continued patience. It means a heck of a lot to me to have my art career supported while I'm struggling to catch up and and find a job to help manage my bills. (the search has been going horrible which is why I've kinda been down a lot lately)

Updates and March Commissions
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! Been quiet over the last month just trying to get shit done, so I sorta feel silent for a bit. I forgot to post an update here about it but a couple weeks ago my tablet pen stopped working correctly and needed to be replaced and put me way off schedule. I'm still trying to catch up from that, but should have most of what I need cleared by the end of next week. Also gonna try and fix my trello sometime soon, most likely after I'm caught up to where I need to be next week. I've got my hands full enough trying to get a lot of extra work done to mess with that now.
In the meantime I'm opening for commissions today to cover this months bills, and they will be started on once I finish up the stuff I have planned over the next week, and aiming to finish by the end of the month/first week of April at the latest.
If anyone wants to commission a Pre-Order Pirated Themed Badge for FWA, I'm offering a $5 discount on all badge prices for that, to be handed out at the con! I don't have any samples of pirate themed work, however, I absolutely love the theme and would love the chance to draw a bunch of awesome pirates!!
If you are interested in a commission from me, please fill out this form so I can get your info: https://goo.gl/forms/TICX46PgErgLFLVk2

Back from Break, Updates + Open for Commissions
Posted 6 years agoHey guys, this journal is gonna have a few important updates for commissions and stuff. Having a few days off gave me some time to clear my head and think about things and some changes that I need to make.
Last week was rather rough, and I ended up reaching my breaking point fast because of depression and excessive stress that I kept piling on myself. I keep trying to keep my head up and stay positive but honestly I'm tired of fighting a losing battle and constantly apologizing for it. My biggest issues of late have been dealing with refunds that I can't afford to make, depression over never making art for myself because I feel too guilty not spending that time on overdue work; and because I constantly try to stick to the list and finish things in order, despite knowing I'd have an easier time some days if I could work on something I was in a better mood to draw (like skipping a porn piece to work on a music piece and then go back to the porn)
I could spend a lot of time breaking down all these issue's but I'll save ya'll the effort of reading that essay of a rant. Needless to say I want things to change before I have a more extreme breakdown and outright quit to go deliver pizza or something stupid like that.
So here's the deal. I'm no longer gonna be taking commissions to go on my backlog. Instead, whatever I take now is stuff I plan on finishing the same month. As I'm now roughly a year behind on my backlog, I also plan to at least keep up with that and finish those of the same month (so I'll be roughly trying to stick to two months worth of art in one) I'm sorry if that frustrates anyone, but I'm not making any progress doing what I'm doing now and I don't want things to get any worse. Even if this method takes me longer I at least stand a chance of catching up doing things this way and I'll be able to stay on top of things better.
Additionally I adjusted my prices a bit to make this a bit easier. The less work I have to take on now to keep up with my budget the more time I'll be able to spend on backlog work and getting myself out of this rut.
To start this off though, this month I'll be finishing up my monsterification pieces and the two regular commission I took last month as part of this month's work in addition to what I'm taking now and the backlog from last February. I want to see those done so I'll have samples for the next time I want to open for them.
That being said I'm open for commissions. I know Valentines Day is coming up, however I'm not making any promises to finish stuff before then because I do better when I'm not wasting time stressing out on deadlines.

Taking a Break.
Posted 6 years agoHey guys. I'm going to make this short if I can. I'm going to take several days off right now to get myself in a better headspace and take time to make some personal art.
I know I've been rather quiet online lately, but I've been trying to keep my head down while I've been chugging away at art and my backlog, however I've slowed down significantly the past week or so due to a fair bit of depression and stress getting out of control. The last two days in particular I've just stared at a blank screen trying to make art with no good turnout while stressing out more and more over wasting that time. I sort of had a small breakdown yesterday because of it and today was no better.
Although I have a ton of pressure on me to keep working, I desperately need a vacation. I haven't taken a real break from work in nearly half a year, and its been even longer since I've worked on any personal art. I can't even express how shitty it feels to have to constantly pump out art for people and not have time for any of my own ideas or make stuff that would make me really happy. In fact, in the last two years I've only finished 2 or 3 pieces of art for myself.
So I will be away until Monday, doing some much needed personal art for my own sanity before I have a full breakdown. Thank ya'll for your continued patience.

Experimental Monsterification Commissions!
Posted 6 years agoHello! So I am looking to build a portfolio of work that isn't strictly 'furry'. So I thought it would a really fun idea to show off my character design skills by Monster-fying your character, and in turn creating and eventually publishing a Bestiary/Lore Book with the results!!
At the moment I have no really good samples to show for this, so I'm going to be taking on 5 spots for these experimental commissions! Please keep in mind I'll be changing the design of your character (mostly anatomically, and trying to stick closer to colors and some species-specific traits if possible) So if you like monsters and tf (technically XD) then this is the thing for you!
How this works:
-These are 100% artist freedom pieces. Outside the information I ask for on the form, all the design is up to me. That may mean you end up with some unexpected results. Although I'll be happy to send an in-progress sketch, I most likely wont be willing to make changes to the design (unless I really like your suggestion)
- I'll be 'transforming' your character based on the guildlines I provide below. The results may end up in a lot of changes, most likely resulting in your character not looking like your basic furry. Typically I'll try to stick to keeping features of your species and the colors/markings (though keep in mind some things might change to suit the new anatomy/design, but the core of your character will still be there!)
-Although I'd like to keep this project SFW, I will allow adult/porn versions for an added fee.
What you get:
- A full color (stylized) illustration of your Monsterized Character
- Potentially a small background (that fades out) or extra sketches of certain features
- A few paragraphs of lore about your new monster written by me!
Price: $150
+$30 for an alternate lewd version
These commissions will be completed alongside my current backlog. I have a set amount of work on that I aim to complete on that each month and those take priority, so I'll be working on these in my free time and they will most likely be finished towards the end of the month.
If you are interested, here's a form to fill out for these! https://goo.gl/forms/c1SFl7llOvL2IzkC2

Overdue Update!
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! heck I haven't put out an update here in a bit. (I've been bad at keeping up with stuff online the last few weeks) First of all, Happy New Years. Boy am I happy 2018 is done. It was a very rocky year to say the least. But my head is in a better place and I'm making progress to fix stuff in my life, and making actual progress on catching up.
I had a bit of a slip up recently after Christmas, ended up having less time to get work done than I thought I would due to family and other stuff. Right now I'm currently finishing up the commissions I was trying to do before Christmas, all of which should be done this weekend. After that I'll be getting back to normal commissions and pumping stuff out.
Also, just to check in with folks waiting on overdue/backlog commissions! I haven't forgotten about ya'll. I'm still working off that huge list, and I am making progress. If anything with the new schedule I've been giving myself, I've been getting more done and its been much less stressful.
So as usual I'll be opening for commissions again today in a little bit. There's still gonna be a couple months wait from when I take them til they are done due to my backlog, but I've got bills to cover. Additionally I'm also going to start up a side-project, and taking a couple of experimental slots to be done this month for it so I can see if there's actual interest in it as well as keep my motivation to do it cause I'm super excited for it! :D

Happy Thanksgiving
Posted 7 years agoHey ya'll! I'm off for Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and some epic meals!
The past week has been hectic getting ready for Thanksgiving, getting ready for visiting family and my own plans; along with dog sitting for a friend for a couple days I'm ready for a break! I will be away myself for all of Thursday/Saturday/Sunday.
I'll be briefly working on Friday however I don't know how much I'll actually be able to accomplish, and the weekend my full attention will be on my own thanksgiving with friends. Hella excited for the next few days, and hella ready to get back to a more normal week after it's all over haha!
But for now, have a great weekend ya'll!
Also reminder I am still open for commissions this month!!! I'm close to covering my late student loans bill from a few weeks ago, but still got a bit to go, as well as now accepting commissions for next month too since with the upcoming shopping holidays and MFF back to back are gonna make it a rough start December trying to get enough work.
Samples: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29404135/
Please, if you are interested in a commission to help me cover my bills while I catch up on my backlog, I'm currently offering 10% off all commissions. Here's a form to fill out so I can get all your info https://goo.gl/forms/4pXO45mmlrYjuuT93

Updates + Changing How I Handle Commissions a Bit
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! So I wanted to make a quick update journal regarding where I'm at on commissions, and things I'm gonna be changing to help me work quicker.
First of all the progress I've made this year has been slow between fighting off depression and all the other curve balls life has thrown at me and just getting far too into my own head space about shit. I'm not sure if I've done more digging myself in a hole than catching up at this point but I know that the way I'm handling things right now isn't working very well for me productivity-wise. I'm not gonna sit here and make excuses either. I just want to catch up.
So to do that I'm gonna be changing up the way I work on commissions. I wanna start by saying I'm sorry but a lot of the deadlines I've given folks over the last few months (and year) haven't been great. I'm still working on commissions from last December, and if I don't finish that and at least all the January commissions this month I'm gonna die of stress.
My biggest issues lately have been biting off more than I can chew. And that's mainly focused on the work I promise people, not meeting those deadlines, and working on too much shit at once to accommodate those deadlines. I try my damn hardest to meet the dates i throw out. I never forget. But I feel like absolute shit and end up breaking down some days because I know I'm not hitting the mark. My biggest mistake is I treat my schedule as if I were some robot just pumping out art, and forget to account for days where I just need to get out of the house some (because I spend most of my time in my bedroom and it sucks), or have a slow morning because I wake up depressed or some other shit.
Lately I've been doing stuff in batches of 15-20 pieces at once and that's super stressful. Typically I sketch all those pieces back to back, end up burnt out by the end of that, and then go from there either doing all the line arts and finishing them off one by one after or so. But with the last group I finished, it took me way longer than I expected. In part a lot of those pieces were really heavily detailed, big commissions. (not complaining, I'm really happy with all the work I've been putting out lately)
But to say the least by the time I got back to working on some of them, the initial drive and excitement I had for a few of them was gone. Its kinda rough when you are really excited to work on a commission you sketched only to have wait a few weeks while you finish all the other ones ahead of it. Makes it feel like I've worked on something that may only take up a day of my time start to finish take 3 weeks...
The Important Stuff:
Here's the things I'll be changing:
- I'll only be giving rough estimates for when I expect to get to someone's piece if asked. I'm not gonna feel bad if I miss them any more, because ultimately I will get there and it will totally be worth the wait. I just wanna make awesome art for ya'll and not waste my time being stressed out over deadlines
- I'll only be working on commissions 2-4 at a time. This will prevent me from getting burnt out and let me finish stuff I'm excited about as quickly as I want. turn around should ideally be quicker as a result too (despite it potentially taking longer for me to get that initial sketch out)
- If I've got a lot of big things back to back I may pull an easier commission (like things without backgrounds and badges) from farther down my list to give myself a little break between them.
- I wont be responding to messages on the weekend. I kinda already do that, but Saturday's are my day off to clear my head and not think about art, and Sundays are primarily catch up days that I may or may not work.
- I'm still going to be taking commissions to cover bills while I catch up. I cant avoid that right now and I'm currently looking for a part time job so that I can make some money and take on less work while still having time to work on art.
- Finally I will be simplifying things a little bit art style wise. I need to get faster at drawing and stop nitpicking over every tiny detail. The finished product will still look good, But I may start doing more painting instead of a lot of lines for backgrounds, and I'm gonna be a little less meticulous with a few things.

Catching up today
Posted 7 years agohey guys, apologies if I've been slow at getting back to folks the past week or so. I haven't felt too great lately, and been hard for me to find the drive to talk.
I've got something I wanna finish drawing first before I start catching up and reading notes and such, so I'll be doing that later today, as well as posting an updated schedule for how I'll be handling commissions. (basically sticking to working on things 2-3 at a time from now on instead of large groups of 15-20 which has been rather draining)

Updates!
Posted 7 years agoHey ya'll! It's been a few days so figured I should post some updates!
I did actually manage to that giant ass loan covered! I still have a few more smaller bills to cover this month so I still have a few commission spots open at this time, but I'm past being stressed out!
Currently commission-wise I'm working on sketching a bunch of stuff. It's been a bit of a slow week between fighting off a cold and having a bunch of big pieces in a row, but I'm making decent progress even though im a little behind where I wanted to be by today. I'm hoping to have the majority of what I want sketched by the end of the weekend, but may take me til the middle of next week until I turn around and start finishing what I've started so far.
I dont say it enough here but thank you folks for your patience and support! I get stressed out over art some days but ultimately I love making it
I have about 3 more spots I need to fill before I completely cover my bills this month! Here's more info about the commissions I'm currently offering: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28604531/
If you are interested in a commission please fill out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/4pXO45mmlrYjuuT93

What can I offer for commissions??
Posted 7 years agoHey guys, I need some help here. I'm open for commissions but I'm having an impossible time getting work, and I need some ideas. I'm currently working on a big backlog and things are finally easing up in my life so I can really focus on just pumping out work but I need commissions to cover my bills in the meantime.
I'm currently offering a 10% discount on all my work in exchange for folks patience for waiting up to 3-4 months while I work down this backlog. Thing is I know folks aren't super interested in a wait like that, but that's the best I can offer. I can't lower my prices any further and I can't rush my work because the folks that have been waiting a long time deserve to come first and get the quality they paid for.
I'm hella stressed because I have a $1000 student loan bill due Friday, and I've got roughly $200 towards that at this time, and getting commissions to cover that as well as the rest of the bills I have this month as well. Its already double this month because I had to skip paying it last month and I'd really like to avoid skipping another months payment before it becomes too outrageously high for me to pay.
Right now I'm considering doing another group YCH auction over the weekend, to be completed by the end of the month if I dont get enough work to cover my bills. It's a lot of extra work but I'd be doing that in my 'freetime' so that it doesn't affect my normal schedules
The Point?
I need ideas. Is there anything people would be interested in that I'm not currently offering? Streaming my work isnt an option, and neither is lowering my prices any further. I'm already taking a huge hit by offering 10% off.
Would anyone be interested in:
- Flat color Music Portraits for $100 (same thing as my standard music portraits minus the shading
- Thigh-up Sketch commissions for $35 (no color, no shading, just a regular old sketch )
- Stickers, but I'd have to charge about $35 per sticker, or $180 for a pack of 6 (I tried doing them before, and although I dont mind making them, I severely undercharged for them last time because they take FOREVER)
- Themed Badge Pre-orders for MFF, FC and FWA. (I'm not attending MFF or FC but I should have any badges I take on now done in time for them) In fact if you want one of these just fill out my standard commission form liked at the bottom and mention which con you'd like it for.
- Flat color themed portraits for $40 (Like the Hipster portraits I offered a while back: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/.....ster-Portraits ) Maybe same theme or a new theme?
- Any Christmas/winter themed work. what I'm taking on now should be done around that time so it'd be better to 'preorder' that from me now than wait until November/December
- fetishy stuff that you might not know that I'm okay with drawing like TF sequences (anything from human to furry, furry to furry, size theft, weight gain, gender tf, cock tf. etc.), watersports , inflatables, Vore (though with characters of different sizes, I'm not willing to struggle with the anatomy of someone eating characters that are the same size as them)
If any of those sound like something you'd be interested, or have a suggestion and you'd be okay for up to a possible 3-4 month wait then comment here or send me a note! (that 10% discount would apply to all of those)
Or if you are interested in a standard commission seen on my price guide here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20171815/

Will Be Reopening Commissions TOMORROW
Posted 7 years agoHey ya'll. So... I had that long winded journal about how I wasn't gonna take more work until I clear my backlog, switching to being an uber delivery driver to be my main source of income. After testing that out over the last week I've come to realize I bit off waaaay more than I can chew with that. It's been an absolutely miserable week, stress, anxiety, panic attacks and depression have been worse than I've ever had, and my art production dropped off significantly.
Issues being I was left with only 2 1/2 hours to draw each day, and in order to make enough off the unreliable income that Uber delivery is, I'd have to work 8+ hours almost 7 days a week. As a result, I've hardly had time to draw at all this week, and I feel horrible for that, I was thinking my time would be more evenly split. Despite the stress I'm under for art, I love drawing, and would rather spending the majority of my time doing that.
So I'm deciding to go back on my previous statement. I'll be opening for discounted commissions under the provision that it may be up to a 3-4 month wait (prices will return to normal once I'm caught up). I'll still be delivering for uber, but only 2-3 nights a week. This should give me enough to cut back on a good amount of work I need to take to cover my monthly bills,
I'm sorry if this pisses anyone off, but I need to do what's best for my own sanity and mental health, and since I'm having no luck with the applications for regular jobs that I've put out, my only option is to open for more work until I have to actually catch up on art or find a job that pays well enough for me to split my time better.
