Eyyo people, it’s me again!

I’m merely here to tell you that I am currently planning on doing Inktober again this year! And this time I’m actually going off of the official prompts!

Frankly I don’t use IG a whole lot, but I basically found the official post on the site.

On the flip side though, I’ve had a horrible summer. Throughout the season I have been trying to find an official job in my field before being rejected by all of them, and this has kept me in a position where I have been unable to move up. I’m still doing what I love (art, animation etc.), but I need to face the music. I need a job.

But still though, I’m really excited for this coming Inktober, as I’m able to finally post something again!

Eyyo peeps! I’m back! And I brought updates!

Plotting and developing a story isn’t easy. Especially when you have a habit getting carried away with creating too many characters. Naturally trying to make a story / lore with all these African animal heroes is more daunting than I realized. But regardless, I have made some degree of progress in overhauling the story.

Firstly, the characters. For the villain faction Balakelami, Chodamu, Dhiigo, Drabuzu and Vertiti are going to be cut from the story entirely. It’s so I can make it easier when developing the characters. The same also be said for Asubuhi. I want Jade to be Mwako’s shaman advisor instead. (I MIGHT include Asubuhi as like a minor civilian character, but for now, she’s cut from the story.)

On the topic of me changing the species of some characters, Aimatna is going to be the impundulu now. Anansi is now going to be wilddog instead of a jackal, and I’m still debating whether or not I should make Sanjenmi a leopard or keep him as a panther. And this is most prevalent, I’m debating whether I should change Misty’s species at all. All I now is that she’s either gonna be cheetah instead or remain a tiger. I’m leaning towards the cheetah side.

Now for the plot of the Jangranger, I have two general ideas on how I want the story to be like. The core Jangranger team is composed of nine senshi, with Jade later joining as its tenth. That will remain unchanged. But what has changed a bit is what I want to do with the Dochorangers. (And this is essential to how I want the plot to be like.)

If I were to establish the Dochorangers in the lore, they would all be Obayifo. They would be like the Nejirangers; an antithesis to the Jangrangers, also doubling as MOTWs. Where Surea comes in is that she is trying to cure them of their vampiricism and return them to normal. She would get in the way of the Jangrangers finishing off her teammates and preventing the Sentai from killing them as DochoGold.

Though, if I were to NOT establish the Dochorangers as a rival Sentai team, I would make the story very similar to one of my favorite pieces of literature, Water Margin; as the story progresses, more and more animal species join the Jangrangers in some way. Kurba, Niobe, Tenaga, Muliwai, Taitimu, Hoku, and two extra characters I’ve thought up would in some part of the story end up joining the Sentai.

I might make it a combination of the two plots, but ultimately I want all the characters to have a degree of development in the long run. Whatever it takes to make sure the story’s good.

Eyyo peeps! And sorry for not posting as often. School life has just been busy for me, and there’s a lot on my plate at the moment. I haven’t had time to make alot of stuff to post, but regardless I’m still around, and I still do intend to post more.

That being said, Jangranger, in its underdeveloped, underachieving state. For the past year or so, I’ve been trying to write and plan out a story featuring all these animal characters, but so far, I’m ending up with roadblocks. Nothing’s in the tank for me creative-wise. And I think I might know the reason why.

I think I have WAY too many characters.

More characters means more character development, and with what I have I think I have gotten carried with the amount of characters I’ve drawn; It’s gotten more difficult to develop all these characters. With that being said, I’m going to do something I don’t think I’d ever do in my time on FA.

I’m going to cut some characters from the lore of Jangranger, and overhaul all of my characters to make this world less of a difficult drag to make. Rest assured, Solano and the pack aren’t going anywhere. But the Dochorangers and Balakelami need a total rework, especially with all the species I’ve chosen.

The last thing I want to do is make a bad story. That being said, if you have any idea on who I should cut or overhaul, or if you have an idea on how a character should be, comment down below. Your thoughts and criticisms will be very much helpful!

Would any of you want to see more of Jangranger and its mythos?

Recently I’ve been working some worldbuilding and storywriting for my ‘sona, Solano. This is something I’ve been really passionate about for the past year or so: it’s a furry Super Sentai themed off of African myths and legends. And I’ve been working painstakingly on its lore and culture.

This gets me thinking, do any of you people wanna see this Sentai world continue to flourish?

So it’s 2024. Honestly I’m shocked on how the previous year for me flew by. I’d say last year was a great year for me, with me moving up mediums.

For this newfound year, I’m planning on producing doing some worldbuilding and lore for Solano. I’ve been working fiercely on this for the past year, so when the time comes around, I hope yooza will love it.

Hey there. I wanted to deliver a small update relating to my artwork.

I’m moving up mediums. I’m now officially swapping over to digital art. Finally. Sure, I still do like doing traditional art and stuff like that, but as of now, I’m stepping into a medium I’ve always dreamed of doing.

This is a big change that I’m making to myself during my time here on FA. I’ve made myself a brand new ‘sona. One that’s looking forward to a future that’ll shine bright like the rising sun.

As an update, I’ll be posting less frequently compared to how I was years ago. Don’t know when I’ll finally be back to posting art, but inevitably this year I definitely will post some new art.

Hi there everyone. This is an update regarding me, my current mental state, and my future as an artist.

First off my mental state. Compared to how I was when I wrote my previous journal, I’m feeling a lot better. During that time had trouble sleeping during, and I was WAY too hyperfixated on what my future would be like for me. January has been an emotional Hell for me. Come February, I was starting to feel much better with my life. But I’m not out of the darkness yet.

Which leads me to my second part. My future as an artist. The whole reason why I consider myself still in a bit of a distressed state is because I feel like my artwork and talent are subpar. I want to get better at my passion, but I don’t know whether I’m taking one step forward or one step back; I don’t know if I am improving with my work or not.

Until I find some newfound motivation and confidence to finally upload another piece to me page, as of me writing this I’m still on hiatus. I honestly want my art and my future projects to be better than the last ones I’ve done, but I don’t know how I’ll be able to do that.

Lastly, I want to give a shoutout to all of my watchers and supporters. You’re all giving one more reason why I shouldn’t give up this passion of mine. Your support means everything to me, especially in my current state. Thank you.

I’m not okay. Far from it.

Recently I just had, from what I can understand, an anxiety-induced panic attack. I had trouble sleeping, and trouble keeping balance. I’m feeling unmotivated to do art because I’m so fixated on the fact that I’ll just never be as good or as creative as some of these furs on FA.

Until things get better for me, I’m taking a MASSIVE hiatus. It’s for the best when it comes to my mental health.

Throughout this past week I’ve been feeling awful. About myself and my future. It might just be the depressing weather from where I live, but as way to enforce myself to be confident about my future, I’ve been lambasting myself with negative self-talk, focusing more on my faults. I would upload something, but I’ve been so unconfident in myself I can’t seem to. Who would want to watch a fur who only produces black and white pics when color is just more appealing?

Anyways, that’s just me and my mental health right now. Here’s hoping that I feel better…

Well, it’s a new year, and right now I have some updates as for what you guys can expect for this next year!

For one, I have made some redesigns to some of the True Tail Stands. I have to say they did turn out pretty well. I’ve made some adjustments to thier designs, as well as thier abilities. Even going as far as re-doing one of the Main Twelve’s Stands. So I hope you like what I have in store!

Now this other part of the update is going to be a MAJOR change in the art I produce. I’m thinking of changing my medium from ink to markers. I want to try and do less black-and-white drawings, cause let’s face it. People like color more than anything with just its outline.

You’ll probably see some major changes on my profile page this year. I’m going to most likely change that. Anyways, that wraps up for you can expect for this upcoming year! See ya there!

It’s finally here. The 46th Super Sentai season is finally upon us. And let me tell you, compared to what I first thought about the initial reveal of Zenkaiger (which shocked me in a confused and bad way), it’s safe to say that I am loving the reveal based on the only the trailer poster. So with that, here are my thoughts on the reveal of DonBrothers.

Kicking things off, we have the Red Senshi of the team, DonMomotaro. Pretty standard suit design, pretty what I’d expect based on the silhouette, though if you ask me I really don’t like the angle of his top-knot. Maybe it’ll look better with him looking face-forward or when in action.

I don’t really have that much thoughts about the Blue Senshi, SaruBrother. I mean, I don’t hate it, but there’s not much for me to say about it. He’s like OokamiBlue from Kyuranger, expect only around the arms, which is pretty neat for me.

The Yellow Senshi, OniSister, intrigues me. Not with the spiked shoulder pads, but as to why an oni-themed Senshi would be on the Main Five. See, in the blander-than-bread folk tale, the oni were seen as the obligatory villains of the story. So with DonBrothers, maybe OniSister was part of the Sentai evil organization before breaking off and joining the Sentai.

Now we get to the real juicy Senshi, ones that’ll be done in CGI. A first in Sentai history. One of which being being KijiBrother and OH MY GOD!!! FINALLY!!! A MALE PINK SENSHI!!! I’m so HONKin’ happy right now. Never in Sentai history as Toei ever had the balls to give a GUY the color closely associated with the girly-girls of a group. Despite KijiBrother lookin’ skinnier than skim milk, here’s hoping for the best of these CGI Senshi, in both design and in action.

And speaking of which, there’s also the Black Senshi, InuBrother. And if you ask me, this one I feel could be a gigantic push-factor for this Sentai. See, in most stuff that Japan produces, if there ever is some sort of SD character in the main group, chances are they’re going to be incessantly obnoxious and annoying with their screeching high-pitched voices. (Yes, even for a Engine like myself, we have limits of stuff going over-the-top). And considering the fact that InuBrother is supposed to be ninja, (a Japanese word meaning “cash-cow”) it could be one big turn-off for me and DonBrothers. But hey, at least on the bright side, InuBrother will serve as an excuse for marketable plushie material.

This could be just a bit of a guess, but I feel this might also be a video-game-themed Sentai Season, with the D-Pad patterns on the boots, and the word “Avatar” being in the Sentai’s descriptor. ‘Bout time really. Megaranger was technically the first time Toei has ever dug into video-game territory, so this should be a breath of fresh air. And hey! The Only Winner, Ex-Aid won’t have to feel so alone!

Now, if anyone has been following me since 2019 and early 2020, you probably have seen me upload a series of pics related to the (STILL) upcoming webtoon, TrueTail School of Heroes. Basically, I gave each and every one of the main characters Stands. Which leads me to this:

I’ve been thinking about giving the Professors, such as Kanikus and Brutus Stands of their own, but there’s only one problem. I’m suffering from artist’s block from this. Which is where you guys come in. Does anyone have any ideas relating to Stand names or powers that relate directly to any of the Professors of True Tail Academy?

(For those who don’t know, Stands in the manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure are the physical manifestation of the soul, which gives its user incredible and/or oddly specific powers, all of which are named after songs, albums, music artists or bands.)

I’ve come to make an announcement, one that this time, isn’t a break or hiatus! I’ll attending Furrydelphia 2021 on August 13th to the 15th at Valley Forge Casino and Resort! This’ll be my second furry con I’ve gone to in my life, and I’m SO excited for it! If anyone who’s reading this is coming to, I’ll be seeing you there!

Okay, you know about that last journal entry I posted about input needed for deciding on what colors of some of Engines should be? I’m fine. I’ve managed to figure out the color schemes of all of my Engine cast! And you’ll be seeing them fully colored in a series of new pics starting next month!

Okay, this isn’t TOO much of an emergency, but I still stand my ground. Normally I’m the type of artist that makes it a habit of drawing in black and white, but there are exceptions. What I need help with is deciding what colors of some of my Engine characters. It relates to a pic series of mine. What I have down here is the characters I still need to color in. Does anyone of my watchers have any suggestions?

And this isn’t just an ordinary one. The Red Retro Race Birb has left his teenage years behind and turned 20 years old! Happy birthday to me babeeeeeeee!

When I first of this one furry cartoon, it was mostly from the advertisements I’ve saw on FA, all the way from last year. Looking at it for the first time. I didn’t really care too much about it. Thought it was just another cartoon that was geared towards other furs who are also interested in cars and racing. But many months later, just recently in fact, I decided to give the show a shot. Based on the basic monochrome and bright 3D artstyle, I thought it would be another show for 12-year-olds at most, full with a predictable and uninteresting story about anthros racing each other. But BOY WAS I DEAD WRONG!

Rimba Racer is outright INCREDIBLE! The storywriting is better than what I thought, with there being sweet twists, the characters are hellava dynamic and make great impressions on whether they should be loved or hated, and the concept alone is enough to get me interested! (What can I say, I’m a condor-racecar. It’s in my petrol to love this kind of stuff.) This just goes to show that no matter the cheesy and kid-looking artstyle of a show, you can still write an excellent story!

As of right now, I’ve watched all 22 episodes available on their YouTube channel. For anyone who wants to watch it, I’ll have the link below this stanza of text. It’s REALLY worth your time! (Although I do have to warn you, the animation is a bit stiff in the characters. The only real Sakuga-style action is when the Racers are on the track.) This is something that has been swirling in my head for the past years. I don’t know about you, but hear me out:

What would it be like if Paw Patrol had a spin-off that tributes and parodies tokusatsu?

Now, despite falling victim to a mental disease by the name of “I-like-the-show-already-but-I’ve-never-saw-a-single-episode-itis” I kinda get the gist what the show is: a 10-year-old engineer prodigy and his rescues dogs are tasked with protecting and helping out their small town, in a usual rescue-themed format. Pretty much you would expect out of children’s show formula; repeating the same major plot for each episode. After looking at some of the artwork created by Nick, whether it be 3D or 2D, I had that thought. A thought that only Toku-freaks like myself would have, with there being color-coded characters, and a kid with the literal name “Ryder.”

I mean just think about it. What are the biggest, most recognizable tokus in history? Most people would say the usual: Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman etc. That’s pretty much my personal thoughts when I jumped the bandwagon on Paw Patrol’s popularity, it’s almost like a kid’s first glimpse into what this incredible genre of media really is, just without all the violent parts. That’s pretty my I had this idea in mind, and by God I’ve got feats to tell.

I never actually got down to properly naming what is semi-mature spin-off of a well-beloved kids show should be, but the first title I had in mind was “Paw Patrol: Next Generation” (despite the fact that there’s going to be no genetic lineage), and here’s how it goes:

Ryan Dermott, otherwise known as Ryder to everyone he knows, is the son of his gifted STEM-excelling, EMS-involved father, who has sadly gone missing as the days go by. With nothing left to lose, Ryder reactivates his Dad’s greatest experience, Project GEMOCARS (GEnetically MOdified CAnine Rescue Squadron), where he makes all of his, many, many owned pet dogs into superhuman beings capable of protecting and saving innocent lives(all of which are themed after a certain type of community service or rescue branch), the Paw Patrol. Using the collectible gimmick of the spin-off, known as BoneBadges, these six(+) pups will devote their lives to the safety and protection of their town of Adventure Bay, New York, all in the whole figure out who is behind the sudden disappearance of Ryder’s parents.

So... erm... that was weird.

Lately, I’ve been pretty emotional this week. I just got back from a funeral today, and well, it kinda has effected my general happiness. I wish I had the strength to post a pic with all my enthusiasm, but I just seem to be down on my joy. So as of now, in order to properly process my emotions, I will not be posting a new pic today. My apologies, people.
