Hi! Just getting this up here since it would probably be more useful than just asking if anyone happened to be interested, haha. Please read everything before replying, so I don't have to repeat myself too many times.

I'm looking to open trades again. Just a couple things before I do: Until I receive the your part, I treat trades as fairly casual things. I don't treat them like commissions off the bat. If you do your part before I do mine, though, I treat it as a commission and will get that shit done ASAP. Just so you're aware of my work ethic regarding these.

I'll be taking a few really quick trades, and by "quick" I mean I probably won't spend more than an hour or two on my part. End results look like this: X X X

I'm also willing to open up for one trade of something more intensive (hi hey hello), but that's something I'm going to be extremely picky about. Extremely picky.

As far as what I'm willing to draw, anything SFW, but I expect to given quite a bit of freedom on my end. As far as what I want, you're more than welcome to do whatever you like with whatever characters of mine; whatever you feel is worth it. If you want to run something by me, that's cool.

1) I may be opening up trades again here in a bit? Would anyone be interested in that?? Especially if you're willing to trade me an icon for something, I really really really like collecting icons you don't understand. Details will be in a separate journal if I get around to that.

2) Most likely heading back to school here at the end of the month, so I'll be back in Los Angeles and ripping my hair out. Yay! Unfortunately this probably means I'll be around less, because I kind of have to put my nose to the grindstone this time around. Also organic chemistry just shoot me now I do not want to deal with that.

3) I've been having panic attacks quite frequently aaaand am having some sort of heart issue again?? We're not too sure what it is except it's causing a lot of chest pain and dizziness and I kind of passed out on my family last night hahaha. You'll have to excuse me if I go through quiet periods sorry.

Sooo, I'll admit I've been super slow with some of the trades I took on, and that's completely my fault. But I think, at this point, that most of the people who took me on have had to duck out. So, I am under the impression that, sans one trade through Tumblr, I effectively don't have a trade queue to do.

If this is wrong and I do owe you a trade let me know right now. Please send me a note and kick me, and I'll get that done for you right away.

This also applies if we entered a trade and you haven't done your half yet, I'd still really like to get my half done!

I've been having a bit of a rough patch in terms of anxiety and stuff, so let's do another nice things journal. You say/give something nice, I'll say/give something nice. Similar to how this journal functioned (though that one kind of moved into solely compliment territory which is nice I suppose!). I'll start I guess.

1) Apparently this account's gotten over a thousand comments???? I'm still kind of baffled as to why people would want to talk to me but I'll roll with it. It puts a smile on my face like nothing else thank you.

If you're someone who has at least a passing interest in my characters, I've got a question!

Usually when I ask what watchers want to see, one of the bigger things requested are more of the interaction comic/scene things. Which is cool! I really enjoy doing those. Except I don't do them too often, mostly because I don't know what to do them over.

And I also don't know what's interesting to you guys.

Which is my question, what sorts of things need to show up in those scenes? Are there specific character traits you'd like explored? Questions you'd like answered? As the creator I have a hard time gauging what has and hasn't already been shown, or what questions need to be answered to make sense of things.

The more specific you are, the more it would help me! And, if you like my doodles, the more it'd help you, since if I get a good scene in my head I can usually whack it out in a day or two. :P

This isn't a call-out journal, just something that I realize may be handy to note for future comers.

You may have noticed I've posted a few journals for the express purpose of getting to know people, or chitchat, or those sorts of things. I enjoy that. I try to be friendly with everyone here, at least to the extent of my abilities. However, I can't do that unless some rules are abided by.


I expect a reasonable amount of respect towards myself. I try to keep a civil tone, devoid of name-calling, and I expect the same in return. I expect insults be kept to yourself. I expect that my occasional inability to strike up a conversation, or respond to notes and comments, be respected. I have trouble dealing with social situations sometimes, and can easily be overwhelmed. Please understand this doesn't mean I'm trying to passive-aggressively slight you.

I expect a reasonably respectful (politically correct) discourse. This doesn't mean you have to be uptight, but I very much believe that PC language isn't just for "limp-wristed hippies." It has a meaning and a purpose. Harmful language perpetuates harmful ideas, which leads to harm being inflicted on people. Don't do that. Ask, politely, if you don't understand or are unsure about something. Google is also your friend.

I expect to be comfortable in my own space here. I probably couldn't care less about what you do in your own space, but in my journals, submissions, and shouts I expect to be comfortable. To that end, I will hide and block as I see fit. I really don't care if that makes me overly sensitive or whatever.


If you have questions, send me a note. If you don't know if something is inappropriate or uncomfortable, send me a note. If you're polite I'm more than happy to have a conversation.

If you want to argue about this, don't. Just stop. Send me a note if you just really have to say something, but I'd prefer those that have an issue with any of this just agree to disagree and let me be.

I've gotten some new faces around recently, but it's not like I really need a reason to talk. So talk at me, even if you don't really have anything to say. I'd like to get to know people.

I've had a few messages and pokes about this sort of thing, so I figured I'd make a more visible statement than a message in someone's inbox or a comment hidden in some thread.

Home isn't my fursona! My partner hates barn owls, and as much as I'd like to torment her forever as such, it just isn't meant to be. Hence, when things happen to Home, they aren't necessarily happening to me. Any honest-to-god vent art uses my actual durrsona, Home's not really meant for that purpose.

What Home is meant for is therapeutic afterthought and being a dumb bird. A lot of the comics and expressions and that sort of thing do draw from shit that's gone down in my life, and sometimes legitimately are things that have gone down. But that's okay and it's totally cool and sometimes I just want to draw dumb birds. So I will.

Been a while since I've done a weekend commission special, and I'd like to do a small one for this weekend. For those who don't know, my weekend specials are a few slots that open and come with the condition that it will be done by the following Monday, aaaand sometimes I throw in a little discount. They also tend to get done with a little more artistic license, which is something to keep in mind if you're someone who tends to like 100% control!

You can see my general rates and offerings over on my commission tab, and for this weekend I'll be open for General Comms, Sketches, and Icons. Sketches are $2 off this time around. You'll have your product by Monday (13th) unless something really horrible happens to me, hah.

Generally I like questions in the way of "What about ____", "What does ___ think of or do about ____", "Does ____ do ____?", things like that. I'm also cool with direct-to-character questions, general questions about the "rules" and culture of my headworld, and prompt-type things. Foooor this account I'll only be entertaining questions regarding my birdppl and their universe, so yeah.
