Posted 4 years agoI've been here a long while, but it's time for me to move to an art site that suits me better. I've met a lot of cool people here, but realistically, FA was never meant for someone like me, and that's fine! Thanks to you all who supported me regardless :3
I'm not going to delete my gallery or close my account or anything drastic like that; my gallery is a nice little archive, and there are still a few people that I follow here who use this as their main site that I want to keep up with. I won't be uploading any more new art, though.

Posted 5 years ago I was wondering if you peeps would like me to make some more regular adopts, or what else you might be interested in, instead. I polled Twitter to see what they wanted, but I didn't think to ask here. mainly because I never get replies here lol. So, now I'm remedying that! If there's something you think I should offer aside from regular commissions and outfit adopts, then let me know, and I'll see if it's something I can do :3opening commissions for September soon.

Posted 5 years ago tl;dr- sorry guys. I know there's a few of you who still care about my art, so I'll still post occasionally, but overall, I'm just not really around here much anymore.
Fa has never been meant for the things that I like to draw, but for a long time it was the best I had to share my art. It was always clear to me that I didn't belong here, though. I'm not a furry, and they're not what I enjoy drawing. Nothing against you guys, of course; you're great, which is the only reason this was my base for so long. I'll still post the things I really like here, of course. It just feels like the community I had here is gone, and that's ok. Thank you all for helping me get this far.

Posted 6 years agocommissions are now closed. i don't know how long they'll be closed for, but it will likely be a long time. thank you very much to all the people who have commissioned me over the years; it helped give me the confidence to continue with my art, and get as far as i've gotten. that confidence is gone now, but i'll keep drawing art for myself until it's eventually good enough for it to be worth buying. thank you as well to the people who watch and fave my art; it's nice to know that some people enjoy what i do, and motivates me to keep posting.commissions closing sale
Posted 6 years ago I've recently come to realize that my art really isn't good enough to be offering commissions. After tomorrow, I'm going to be closing them until I get significantly better at art, and can charge a price that reflects the time and care I try to put into all of my pieces. This probably doesn't affect anyone reading this; I'll still be drawing, and posting what I draw, and probably making adopts on occasion. I just won't be taking commissions any more. But before I close them, I'm having a 50% off sale on anything under $30! Commissions and adoptables alike. Honestly, in just trying to make a few bucks to cover shipping on something I want before I stop taking commissions, but if i can't, then oh well. Links to commissions and adopts below!

Posted 6 years agoI've been on fa for ten years now, though it doesn't seem like it. It simultaneously feels like I've been on this site for much longer, and that it wasn't that long ago. Thank you all for sticking with me through it and watching my art improve! And sorry I've been bad about individually thanking people for faves and watches lately, I'll get to that soon, I premise. Hopefully we'll all still be chugging along in another ten years, and my art will have improved as much from my current state as it has so far.

Posted 6 years ago I had thought I posted this a while ago but apparently not, whoops. I'm getting back into the swing of things digitally, and commissions are open again! I'll still be honoring my old prices ( found here ) until I make a new price sheet, but my gallery has better examples of my current art :3 If you'd like a commission, then just fill out the form in the description of the price guide, and comment or note me with it. Posted 6 years ago I'm just curious. Now that I have access to digital art again, is there any real interest in seeing my traditional stuff still? I'm posting it over on twitter regardless, but I'm lazy and don't want to double post if people aren't interested in it. And no worries if you aren't interested in it; I'm well aware that my digital art is generally much better than my traditional stuff, and a lot of people don't like traditional stuff anyways.

Posted 7 years agoheya peeps, i know it's been forever. sorry about that, but losing my laptop made my mental health take a steep nose dive for the worse, and quite frankly, my phone wasn't enough to combat it.
so the good news is:
i have a laptop
i have my art files
i figured out how to get online on this laptop
i've been trying to actually write down my stories and stuff
also i've been messing around with a bunch of different traditional media

it's not an art laptop like my old one (not surprising since it was given to me)
i don't know where my old tablet is or if it even still works
can't afford to buy a new one
basically still no digital art
internet connection is through my phone, so no streaming, either.

Not that mine are likely to be inked, but I really need to work on my traditional art, and hopefully this will provide a welcome stimulus. Thanks for any help!
sketch commissions open to pay bills
Posted 7 years agoI recently had to buy a new phone to replace the one I had, which was broken and only charging sporadically at best. While I'm happy with my new phone, I now don't have enough money to pay my electric bill this month.* Due to this, I've opened regular traditional sketch commissions. I had been hesitant to do that because traditional art takes me much longer to do than digital art, so ych pictures offered a faster turnaround time, but they just don't sell for me, so here we are. Info is here; if interested, feel free to comment here or there, or send a note instead. If I can just get one commission in the next couple of days then I'll be set. Posted 7 years agoI dunno what happened, but my laptop won't turn on anymore, so commissions are closed indefinitely and there won't be any digital art either. I might post some pictures of bracelets that I've been making, or traditional art if I manage anything decent, though traditional obviously isn't my forte.

Posted 7 years agoI did a dumb, and lost my phone's hotspot when I tried to make it better, so now my only internet access is though my phone. Replies and such will probably be slow because of this, as I usually do all of that stuff on my laptop, and switching over is weird. Just wanted to let people know.
what pictures should i turn into prints?
Posted 7 years agopretty straightforward question. what pictures that i've posted do you think would make good prints, either as-is, or if i redid/added to/finished them? (personal art only, no commissions.) or if you think the ones i've drawn so far are meh, are there any of my characters that you think i should draw specifically for this, or any subjects that you think would work well? just looking for some input here. i've got some ideas myself, but more ideas are always helpful :3

Posted 7 years agoi got some bad news today, which made me realize i really need to step up my crafty stuff if i ever want to have a remotely decent life. to that end, i need to figure out what kinds of things to try and sell, but i really don't have a ton of money to waste on things that won't go anywhere. regular commissions clearly don't work for me, so i need to figure out other options.

Posted 7 years ago i made animated snowy icons like this a few years ago, and i was showing them to someone today. would anyone be interested in something like those? they'd be redrawn of course (that one's 4 years old lol), but a similar idea. they'd be pretty cheap, though i'm not sure the actual prices until i make them and see how complex they are. so yeah, just curious if people would want them before i put time into redrawing them, since i have a whole pile of stuff i need to do already.back from the art show
Posted 8 years ago well, technically it was a lot more than an art show, but that's the only part that's relevant here. it was my first 'real' art show (not counting the ones in grade school that almost everyone was in), even though it wasn't really an art show lol. but i had stuff for sale, and some of the smaller things sold, so hooray! apparently people bought six sets of greeting cards with art i made on them, and a few handmade bookmarks as well. (i wasn't handling the money personally and there were other people selling too, hence the 'apparently'). and the original painting of kirrily is nicely framed now, so i can hang it properly, which is nice. (before it was just hanging by a sock hanger clip thing.)
im probably going to crash for a day or two, and then i'll get to responding to everyone after that. sorry it's been a bit, i've just been pretty hectic over this thing. so i think that's all for now :3 thanks for being patient with me!one day only steam sale commission!
Posted 8 years agoso, i just finished my big project, and now steam is having a halloween sale. i'm hoping to get a few of the games off my wish list, so i'm offering a single sale priced commission so that i can get them! how it works:
i'll take either a shaded half body or a flat colored 3/4 body commission, price for either will be $31. payment is due immediately, because the sale ends the morning of the 1st. this will be done some time in november, after my current commission queue. t.o.s. applies as always. no refund because it's for the sale, but i'll try to make sure that you have at least the sketch asap :3

Posted 8 years agoso, early next month, some of my art is going to be in a show. the only problem is, so far there's only one piece i'm sure will be in it, and i can't decide which other pieces to finish/redo for it. so, yet another poll! whichever picture has the most votes by the time i finish the one i'm sure of i'll work on next, and then just do as many as possible in the next few days. (because they have to be printed, since they're digital, so i need to have them done by wednesday as far as i know.)
so here's the things:
the one i'm doing for sure is a digital version of this painting, because the person putting together the show specifically requested it.
the other ones i'm thinking of are:
~finishing this as cookie (because it'll be close to the holidays)
~redoing serelucine and giving her a background

Posted 8 years agoso, i've thought for a little while now that i'd probably enjoy having a cooking youtube channel, but that isn't feasible for multiple reasons. so i was wondering if people might like a recipe comic/manga thing, which gave you step-by-step directions on how to make the recipe. the cooks would probably be my 'sona, bunny; kamea; and cookie (who i still haven't drawn properly yet whoops). they'd cook various things that i like to make (i don't want to give people recipes i haven't tried!), and maybe if i made enough of them i'd collect them into a book and sell it? the individual recipes would still be available if i sold it, it would just be a way to get a physical copy and help me out a bit ^.^ and possibly have ych commissions of being served the final product (which wouldn't be in the book, if it ever happened).

and the other part is, i'm considering changing how my commissions work. aside from eventually moving to by-the-hour instead of a set price, i'm also thinking of making it so that my normal commissions are for humans/kemonomimis only, with a strong female preference. quite frankly, i'm not very good at drawing furries. i've tried a bunch of times to come up with a cute style for them, but it's been years and i still haven't managed it. i think that i'd be much more productive if i focused on drawing what i'm good at, and then had YCHs for furries or 'manly men'. i honestly don't think anyone would really care anyways, since my last regular commission was posted a year ago. but i figured i'd let people throw in their input if they wanted to before actually changing anything.
